Pho Duy was not accepting orders on Uber Eats and I had never noticed this place on their platform and they had an appealing-looking food item pictured, so I decided to try it. While I was waiting for my delivery I decided to read these reviews. You folks do not lie. The pho meat was more like the beef you would use on a Chinese stir fry dish: thick hunks of meat. The basil was completely wilted and this broth isn’t even the right color. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Horrible.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am not one to leave reviews or complain, but there were little bits of METAL in my egg drop soup and there was next to no teriyaki sauce on the chicken.

NEVER ORDER FROM THESE THIEVES. EVEN WHEN THEY DONT STEAL, THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO COOK!!!! Do not ever order from this restaurant! I ordered for delivery at 10:37 pm, their posted delivery time was until 12:30am. I simply never received my food. They took my money, including delivery fee and driver tip through GrubHub and never delivered my food. That is theft. Do not ever order from Empire Palace. UPDATE: 9/3/2021 I made the mistake of forgiving and forgetting with Empire Palace. My food did arrive this time! Boy, they managed the bare minimum. However, my Kung Pow chicken was practically empty! The container was quite literally half empty. What was there was disgustingly spicy. So spicy you might even think for a moment that they read their reviews! But let's be honest... they clearly don't bother. NEVER ORDER FROM THESE THIEVES. EVEN WHEN THEY DONT STEAL THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO COOK!!!!!!!!!!!

I have decided to try empire palace nearly half a dozen times always getting something different with my wife and every dish I've had comes out bland and completely unfulfilling. Delivery and Togo orders are missing items every time. Try Lulu's or even Panda at this point for better quality.

Awful!!! Ordered beef pho, chicken skewers and cream cheese wonton. The pho is not pho. I have no idea what broth it came with, but it tasted like hot oil. No other ingredients came with it. Just terrible. The chicken skewers were fried so long they were hard and chewy. Trashed the pho and chicken. Wontons are basic but edible. I should have checked reviews before ordering uber eats. Waste of 35 bucks.

First time eating, many times delivering. Not disappointed. Not many places make my go to, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. Couldn't be any better. My kids loved the Sweet and Sour Chicken too. Hot and Sour and Egg Drop Soups were well received as well. Roast Pork Lo Mein, delish! Steamed dumplings, excellent. Plenty for next day leftovers. Great prices. Orders are cooked and managed very well. Open very late and I highly recommend. Kudos!

Spent $4 on expired chips and I’d do it again. Food was ready in 2.5 minutes.. if you’re in a rush who needs it to be top notch? Will be back to hit on the lady at the counter *chef’s kiss

I’ve only ordered from this place twice (through Door Dash where it has a much more average rating). While looking it up today on google I was really shocked to see so many bad reviews. Here’s just my two cents. This is by far the cheapest and quickest Chinese food around town. All of the food I’ve had has been good. I see comments about problems with portion sizes which I have NEVER run into and have even been given extra things in my orders. There’s tons of meat with meat related orders. I love the buns, all the spring rolls I’ve had have been crunchy and full, and I really like their side soups. I just think people should take into consideration some of this when they are expecting their meal that cost $10.95 that includes a meat, rice, and soup or egg roll to be something it just will never be. Both times I’ve gotten enough food to have a dinner and lunch the next day (both two HUGE meals) and sometimes more food beyond that. My meals WITH delivery and tax have been less than $30. If you order off DoorDash they even have a special where you can get two full dinners and an appetizer for $29. Just some food for thought.

Spring rolls were iceberg lettuce and unseasoned tofu. That's literally it. The chow mein had zero flavor and was cold. The broccoli was cold and soggy. Don't eat here.

THE lowest quality takeout I've ever had. Bland, small portions, even smaller protein portions for the increased fee, no vegetable or slightest bit of browning on fried items. Would not recommend.

This is literally my first time leaving a review but this place was so bad it warranted one. If I could give it less than one star I would. The food was so really bad and not what it said it was. The sauces were so salty and oniony I can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Really disappointed I really just wanted a late night snack man.

I really don't know what the complaints are here. I've been searching for GOOD inexpensive Chinese food similar to what I get on the east coast here in NorthernCO for 2 years. FINALLY! FOUND IT! General Taos was as it should be... Spicy more than sweet sauce, with chicken fried with a crunch! Delicious! Fried rice was great to, not lacking in peas, carrot, sprouts, and onion. Equal portions of meat to rice, not lacking in portion size for $10.95 a dinner. Egg roll was good, a little small, seemed as if it was frozen. But in comparison to the other Chinese restaurants at similar price points, this was more than satisfying! My partner has beef and broccolidinner and he said it was delicious as well. No complaints from him. We also had this delivered 5 miles, and it was super hot, and fresh!!! For $23, 2 of us are with left overs. Well worth what we paid.

They were great on all accounts, love the flavors of the chicken lo mein and their chicken veggie soup! The egg drop soup and egg rolls paired wonderfully as well. Perfect portions sizes to share and fast service late at night- they’re the place to go!

Good food and fast service they don't speak great English but enough to place an order , you can't eat there as there is no tables but I've never had a bad experience and there portions are big

Generally don't have a problem with this place which is why it got 2 instead of 1 stars. It's Chinese takeout so I don't expect anything fancy or mind-blowing. I ordered the fresh spring rolls which are my favorite thing on the menu. I got something filled with sausage and fried but not only was it the wrong order but it was disgusting. The outside was totally burned and it smelled like rotten meat mixed with cat food. The sauce (like watered-down sweet and sour?) was stomach-rolling as well both smell- and taste-wise. Unfortunately this will not be my go-to anymore.

  • 1/5 Katie 5 months ago on Google
Whatever you do, don’t get the spring rolls. Worst excuse for spring rolls. Only get classic Chinese food like lo mein here. It’s honestly equal to or a step below mall Chinese food. Door dash rated this 4.3 but I wish I had checked the google reviews before ordering.

EMPIRE PALACE, FORT COLLINS COLORADO Good evening, I just received my order and was very disappointed with the order. It was not kept hot upon delivery, as well as there being no vegetables in the lo mein which is why I ordered the extra lo mein. The main dish was not tasteful even upon seasoning with the soy sauce due to it being cold, also do you not provide the spicy mustard or fortune cookies, complimentary egg roll, wonton etc.,.? I was very disappointed in the meal and would like to request a new order or refund if Good evening, I would also like to let you know I just spoke to the establishment and was told that if I wanted a replacement meal that I would have to come in and get it. I just came home from being in the hospital and do not have transportation which is the sole reason I ordered online. I feel that was a very rude and unprofessional comment for an establishment to make. I do not want to; but will move forward with having this incident published publicly due their negative response. I was so looking forward to a good meal due to the advertisement and was truly disappointed and saddened by the obvious attempt to scale back on the meal for the sake of financial gain. V/r Michelle Mack. This order was not very good for business which does get acknowledged by word of mouth!

Food showed up right on time and was hot, but that's the only thing giving them 2 stars today. Ordered from the website they use, not grubhub or anything. Didn't get any rice with my meal (that comes with it according to the website) and they gave me two orders of the seseme balls instead of the coconut ones I ordered. Wrong size of soda as well. Soup dumplings were just dumplings in soup? Which just wasn't clear on the site. Cream cheese wongtons were too hard and were literally just egg wraps with cream cheese inside and fried, no other effort given. Food was alright. Nothing too terrible about what we did get. But nearly $50 for food and I didn't even get half of it correctly? I never review but this was sad... Just go to chili house.

Ordered Pho and asked for extra limes, onions and hoisin sauce. DID NOT receive any of that. Instead, I received lemons and soy sauce. Also, no utensils were included even when I asked for utensils. Guess I'm sipping my Pho. My spring roll has 1/2 a shrimp...not even a whole piece and the rice paper was ripped to shreds. They forgot the rice noodles in the spring rolls. Very disappointed with this order and restaurant.

My only complaint is that I wish the portion sizes were bigger but this is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant. I've ordered delivery from here twice, particularly the chestnut shrimp. It is absolutely to die for.

Don't come here for the Chinese food, come here for all of the Asian groceries available in the store! Big bags of rice, lots of fun treats and snacks, staples such as vinegar, soy sauce, gochujang, etc. So many ramen options! The owner told me they changed their hours to open at 3, but maps hasn't loaded that update yet.

I have picked up here a few times as a delivery driver and decided to check it out. Highly unlikely I will eat here again. While it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had, I can say I enjoyed it. The cream cheese wontons were way too sweet and also overcooked so they were tough to chew. The egg rolls were quite the opposite. Undercooked, mushy, cold… My husband and I shared an entree. We ordered the sesame chicken. It was good compared to the rest. Also, ordered Chinese donuts and those were palatable as well. Overall, underwhelming and when we want something quick and tasty will just just continue to go to Panda Express!

I ordered the beef pho and won tons. The pho was very bland. The beef came cooked. I like to have it served raw and have the broth cook it. The won tons had zero flavor. I finished the meal because I don’t like to waste food. I will never order from here again.

I ordered delivery for chicken pho, shrimp spring rolls, and lettuce wraps. The pho broth was not the distinctive flavor of traditional pho with fish sauce, anise, ginger, etc and just tasted like plain chicken broth. Traditionally there are limes with a pho soup and what I got were two lemon wedges. What? Ultimately it was very disappointing due to the lack of flavor and lack of traditional preparation I was expecting. The spring rolls were perhaps what tipped the scale to me deciding I would never eat food from this restaurant again. They were huge, poorly put together and were filled only with shredded lettuce, some small shredded cucumbers and maybe 2 shrimp per roll. I didn't eat them as they looked inedible. The rice paper wrapping was gooey and wasn't completely wrapped around the mess of lettuce so it would have been impossible to pick up. The lettuce didn't really look fresh. There was also no peanut sauce. It wasn't recognizable of a spring roll in any way, shape, or form. When I called to ask why these were made like this the woman said they were out of the noodles for the spring rolls so they used shredded lettuce instead. Unacceptable. A phone call to the customer to ask if I wanted anything else or to be refunded due to these issues would have been acceptable. The lettuce wraps.......just looked gross is all I can say. I tasted some of it with a fork first and it had none of the traditional flavors I would have expected. The mess of vegetables were large carrot pieces, squash pieces, a few other things I wasn't sure about. The iceberg lettuce pieces they sent were more like 1/4 or 1/8 pieces that weren't capable of even holding the filling. About half of this lettuce was brown and inedible. I didn't end up eating this either. Oh, and, the chicken in the pho and lettuce wraps looked like something out of a bag. This was the worst meal I have ever had in Fort Collins and I've tried a lot of places over the years. It truly was just inedible and so horribly put together. I wouldn't even give this one star but had to put something. I don't in a million years recommend this place.

It’s really unfortunate that doordash rates this restaurant as a 4.8. Food went straight in the trash. Called the restaurant asking regarding the questionable entree and explained was they were out of the ingredients to make what was ordered. Also, since when is Vietnamese egg rolls deep fried with rice noodles inside?

  • 1/5 Glenda L. 1 year ago on Google
Had to throw most away. I ordered Vietnamese Egg Rolls and chicken bowl. The rolls were so over fried, you couldn't, nor did I want to risk dental work! So these were a waste. Chicken was undercooked in the bowl. Very small portions as well for the price. Anyone recommend a good restaurant to get vietnamese cuisine?

DISGUSTING - terrible customer service the lady up front was soo disrespectful and just rude bordering in mean. Dirty store with half eaten food lying around all over the front of the shopping area. Nothing is priced so they could literally just say whatever they want. The food was awful the pho broth tasted like and looked like dish water and I'm not sure how you can mess up tofu bit I think it just might have been a cut up shoe. Literally go ANYWHERE else
