Our
group
of
divers
from
different
parts
of
the
country
dived
aboard
Scubatyme
III
out
of
Boynton
Beach
for
two
days
in
late
September
2023.
Captain
Ben
and
Divemasters
Marty
and
Geronimo
were
terrific.
The
boat
supplied
us
steel
100
nitrox
tanks
for
all
five
dives.
One
day
was
a
full
open
boat
trip;
the
second
was
a
private
charter,
3-tank
trip.
For
those
unfamiliar
with
Boynton
Beach
harbor/boat
operations,
divers
can
pull
vehicles
up
to
the
curb
alongside
the
boat,
drop
gear,
and
then
park
in
a
nearby
parking
garage
(free
on
weekdays
and
$5
all
day
on
weekends).
Dive
groups
are
required
to
carry
a
surface
flag
as
dive
sites
are
in
active
boating
areas.
Dive
guides
are
not
provided
but
may
be
offered
at
an
additional
cost.
Dive
times
are
60
minutes
surface-to-surface.
Scubatyme
III
has
plenty
of
bottled
water
on
board
and
offers
cut
pineapple
after
dives.
There
is
a
camera
table.
Pricing
is
competitive;
the
website
associated
with
Scubatyme
III
is
not
intuitive.
Nevertheless,
if
there
are
rough
seas,
the
crew
is
right
there
to
help
get
you
and
your
gear
out
of
the
water,
up
the
ladder,
and
back
to
your
station.
You
can
go
out
with
any
number
of
dive
boats
out
of
Boynton,
but
what
sets
Scubatyme
III
apart
is
its
crew.
Ben,
Geronimo,
and
Marty
are
personable,
safe,
and
made
our
trips
that
much
more
memorable.

Tip:
Check
out
Boynton
boat
operators
on
weekdays
in
late
September.
Water
is
still
85°F,
viz
is
reasonable,
and
if
you
can
gather
4-5
divers
Monday-Thursday,
most
boats
will
run,
likely
giving
you
plenty
of
room
to
stretch
out.
