Delicious chicken soft tacos! The tomatoes were fresh, plenty of sour cream and the soft taco shell was sooo good. Lots of outdoor seating and good amount of indoor seating. Clean and super friendly service. We did not order drinks but they have pitchers of frozen margaritas that looked good. Endless chips and salsa with meal. Will be back for more of those soft tacos! Walkable from Silver Spring metro station.

I had the Fajitas Sampler. It had ribs, chicken, and steak. I enjoyed the Cadillac margaritas and regular margaritas. I finished my meal with the fried Ice-cream dessert. I'm thinking about going back as I leave this review. 10/31/23 Update: My new regular spot. I tried the chicken quesadilla & fried cheesecake. The Cadillac margaritas is nice too.

Great service, got the fajitas, they were amazing! Served with fresh made flour tortillas. Salsa was a little bland but atmosphere was festive. Will return.

Hidden gem and sports bar style Tex-Mex restaurant in the silver spring near Cameron Street public parking. One of the best Fajita place in the area. Surprisingly good grilled flounder, w. an extra jalapeño on the side(tender and young, not as spicy). We really enjoyed the Saturday lunch.

I went to this place a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience. Went back today with family and it was just as great! The food is amazing, drinks are flavorful, and the atmosphere is nice! Would definitely recommend the enchiladas. I got a cheese as well as a chicken and it did not disappoint. PS. The fried cheesecake is one of a kind!

Reliable neighborhood spot serving Tex-Mex favorites and margaritas in a fun atmosphere. Choose between the massive outdoor covered patio and warm indoor dining room for your setting. Favorites include the taco dinner, Laredo platter and fajitas. A short walk from Silver Spring metro and downtown Silver Spring. Great for families, big parties, and watching World Cup.

Very nice! It was my first time but I will definitely be back! A friend suggested it and I am glad I listened. The food, price, the atmosphere, the staff was exceptional. Got to meet the owner and found out that the restaurant was in business for the past 30 years! End up spending 3 hours eating, drinking and talking with my friends. The food was delicious!

Very good food not full of MSG as often happens. Really lovely atmosphere and terrace. Enjoyed seeing the tortillas being made live! Also good value. 2 adults 2 kids with coffee 87$. Parking was easy Saturday at lunch time.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in DMV. Great customer service, amazing food and tasty drinks. There are options to sit outside or indoors in an airy space. Let them know if it’s a birthday. They do have special celebrations for birthday celebrants. Parking could be hard to find. There is however free parking (after 7pm) in a garage close by. It might be worth it to make a reservation prior on peak days.

When it comes to customer service this has to be one of the worst places I have encounter! I ordered a kids Veggie Quesadilla with rice and beans for my son, they made it completely wrong!!! When i calmly told them the order was wrong, they tried to make it seem as if if it was my fault! Called for a manager and he also tried to make it seem that it was my fault! When i asked for a refund, they refused! When i asked them to remake it, they told me that the kitchen was closed!! Even after the fact that I explained this meal was for my child!!! This place does not care about customer service at all!! BEWARE!!!!

So this was a mixed bag for me. My favorite places to explore and rate are Mexican restaurants. First, the positive: they nailed it 100% on service. 100%. Beautifully dressed, very friendly greeter immediately took us to our outdoor table of choice. Second, my key for a good Mexican restaurant... Warm chips, salsa and water hit the table in under 30 seconds. The salsa is good, but very middle of the road. Probably best for mixed guests. A little sauza and pepper fixed that. Margaritas as watery. Not heavy on alcohol, not too sweet, not memorable. Good. But not a go-to. After one, my wife who loves margaritas, switched to a white wine. As for meals. Again a mixed bag. My wife ordered steak fajitas. I ordered a grilled chicken Santa Fe burrito. Her steak came out sizzling and was fantastic. Great flavor! And I.. got the wrong meal... Didn't realize until I dug into it. Instead I got the shredded chicken enchiladas. Which is probably what I should have ordered. They are are awesome. Best part is that they flame grill the entire entree at the end, including the rice. So the cheese and rice have a great crisp to them. I noted the error and they replaced this with my grilled chicken burrito. Eh, not great. I am 90% sure the ground chicken was store bought pre cooked chicken (I know, I've had it many times) just warmed up. It definitely was the exact same length and dimensions of store bought chicken. It was very wet and no grilled flavor or bark. Also, my wife's side of beans were definitely not of Mexican taste, I feel like I've had canned ones just like this before. So, staff is amazing, the house margaritas are fine but not a go-to, salsa is the same, and some of the food is REALLY GOOD, but it seems that it really depends on what you get. Steak and shredded chicken were a win.

I really loved the chef’s salad here especially with the artichokes and hearts of palm. We tried their tacos and fajitas and everything was so delicious. I also liked all the fans blowing in the outdoor seating area. The host was so polite and efficient at getting parties seated during the dinner rush. Will definitely come back to this restaurant when I’m in the area again.

We spent few hours in our company party here. Everything was great. But the drinks were too sweet. We had Margaritas and Mojitos. It was sweat and didnt even taste any alchohol on it. Food was ok. Staff was very friendly and chexked on us every 10 to 15 mins. Place was pretty busy for lunch and had heaters all over the place to keep inside warm.

This is a favorite of my extended family. Locals know best. The food is tasty and reasonably priced for the DC metro area. There was something for everyone. The staff are friendly and attentive. Our kids loved watching one of them make the fresh tortillas. I will admit that it was a quasi-cathartic experience.

First of all we have been coming to Mi Rancho for years, we have had some many great experiences from birthdays celebrations to graduation, etc. However last night (6/24/23) was the opposite. We had the most unfriendly waitress (young girl with long orange hair). First, she didn’t say hello, nor did she introduced herself, she had a sour face as if she was doing us a favor, she asked for what we wanted to drink then walked away, we ordered our food and she never came back to check on us to see if we needed refills or to check if food was okay? We had to get the attention from another staff member to get some boxes to go (btw she was actually a very nice lady). We wanted to order some desserts so we waited and waited for the server but couldn’t get her attention because she was busy flirting with all the male staff members (she was hugging them and all smiles with them) She finally showed up and placed the bill on the table, I said that we still wanted to order desserts and then she could bring the bill to which she looked unhappy but took our order. Again, after finishing our desserts we waited more than 10-15 minutes because she never came back with the bill ( again she was flirting with the bartender) so I had to go the front and asked for my bill and mentioned that the waitress had not checked on us and that we had been waiting for a while. The other waitress was friendly and offered great customer service, I wished she had been our server. Mi Rancho should do a better job screening people when they hired them, young girls like her who offered bad customer service can ruined their business by losing their customers. I have no complaints about the food, it was delicious , but I am pretty sure I won’t be coming back any time soon. If I could give them zero (0) stars for customer service, I would. I have worked in customer service and this type of service wouldn’t been allowed .

Great food. We got the chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas and a pitcher of margaritas. The chicken wasn't the best but the steak and shrimp killed it. Also the homemade tortillas were amazing.

It was an absolutely unexpectedly amazing time! The food is spectacular! The ribs had an amazing savoryness to them, the steak was cooked perfectly, the chicken was grilles to perfection and seasoned great, and the rice was incredible. I'd highly recommend this place for any occasion!

Mi Rancho is a beloved Tex-Mex restaurant owned by a family and is a Silver Spring area staple, known for its consistently bustling environment, top-notch service, and high-quality food. I've had the pleasure of dining here many times, and each visit has been exceptional. Their frozen drinks are delightful, and we had the chance to try the chicken quesadilla and steak fajitas, which arrived sizzling hot and incredibly fresh. What's particularly charming is the manager, who always takes the time to greet our table and adds a touch of humor to enhance our experience. Abraham was our server, he was very attentive and fast. Their fresh homemade flour tortillas are the icing on the cake. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and great menu prices I highly recommend this place for a fantastic dining experience.

A fantastic Latin dining experience. The food slapped and the service was bussin'. I ordered the guacolme appetizer and received a scoop of guac on a plate.... I thought it was an interesting presentation option - but it was so good, I licked the plate clean (something that is difficult w/ a bowl). Visit during lunch and save a bunch! They sing a lit of happy birthday songs, so if you're into that you won't be dissapointed!

Very pleasant lunch experience. Sat outside with my daughter on the lovely patio. Service was excellent. We both ordered enchiladas which were delicious and we have enough for leftovers. Would recommend!

Decent Tex-Mex food served. I really liked the michelada and the tortillas. My husband got the fajitas, it was tasty. I picked plato maria, I don't recommend. The enchiladas were dry and not very good. Same for the tamal. Same for the rice... Expect a swimming pool of cheese on the Chile relleno! It's a nice restaurant, very spacious. The waitress was polite and efficient too. I'd like to come back but definitely trying something else. Creo que cocinan la carne muy bien y quizas hacen las tortillas en casa pero no tienen buenas salsas 🥲.

The food was so good, perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful. Everything was delicious from the chips and salsa to even the lemonade. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. I highly recommend MI Rancho!
