I found out that they carry Black Forest Cake and I had to give it a try, since I have been looking for the longest time for one. It is a cute little store that has a sandwich counter, baked desserts, beer and various German goodies. The Black Forest Cake was very good. It was not overly sweet, the Chantilly was lovely and not greasy, the cake spongy and moist with a little bit of real homade cherry filling (not Maraschino). I wish it had more cherry filling but it was still very good, tasty and made with quality ingredients. Tried one of their Berliners filled with raspberry and it was good too. Glad we stopped by to satisfy our sweet tooth.

Historic Sanford, FL. Okay, it’s HUGE and has a vast supply compared to other stores carrying German products in the US. The deli counter alone has fresh entrees, hard-to-find German sausages, German cheeses, sandwiches, and unusual desserts you can’t find elsewhere, so hostesses take note: If you want to impress your guests at your next party serve up some of these unique delicacies on your finest charcuterie board. And don’t forget the cookies and candies. At Christmas my husband used to order a tray of German cookies for his office from our favorite German store in Ft. Lauderdale (which was 1/3 the size of this store) because German cookies are so festive and different. Lindt puts out a special Christmas chocolate (Weinachts) you can only find in Germany, or at specialty stores. We’ll definitely be checking back here in late November for that. They have all kinds of beer and wine! You can get your food warmed up at the counter and eat it in the cafe area surrounded by a classy display of wines. They have seasonings, canned goods, cookbooks and sauce packets to help you make your own German food at home. They also have beauty products from Germany.

My wife visited here on a prior vacation, and had to bring me here to see. It's is a great little shop with a ton of German candy, and food. The selection of beers is amazing. The deli had meats, and cheese, as well as a small breakfast menu, and a sandwich menu. I chose the Brat Sandwich with spicy mustard, minus the sauerkraut. My wife chose to have the turkey and pepper jack cheese on a pretzel bun. They were both tasty, and hit the spot.

If you’re looking for German grocery items and candy, this is a good place. I didn’t get anything from the counter but I’m sure it’s great. Also a large beer selection

Awesome place.... went for lunch. I had a liverwurst on Rye with mayo and onions. It was perfect, just the right amount of everything. I picked up some bockwurst and Nuremberg sausages along with some mustard, black forest cake, and a few beers I had while visiting Austria. If you like German food, this is the place to go.

Love this market! All the little. cravings for German specialties have found their match here. Gelbwurst, Bratwurst, Black Forest Cherry cake the way it’s supposed to be, Bauernbrot, all sorts of German candy and chocolate. I could sit here another hour and probably won’t mention all the delicacies I find here. The personnel is professional and friendly, the venue clean and inviting. If I feel like enjoying one of their sandwiches, I can do that and make it perfect with a bottle of German beer. I bought the German beer at the market as well- of course

Very fun to experience German culture and imported unique foods, not to mention their delicious deli and bakery! They have some gluten free options. Definitely make sure to grab a chocolate bar here (rittersport is my favorite)

Nice small German market! We visit today and they have so many German imported things that it is difficult to make a decision. They have fantastic pastries and you can make your own sandwich German style, also a lot of German beer very awesome! Customer service is very good as everyone ask you if you need anything or offer help with the things in there

This a must stop for me if they are open when I am in downtown Sanford. The meats and cheeses look amazing. My kids love grabbing a German candy. I haven't eaten there yet, though I would like to try it some time.

Great spot, great food, great service... Thank you Nick! Parking was a bit hard to find, but we didn’t have to walk far. Our first time here. Everyone in our party said they had a great time & delicious meal. It was a bit loud, but our server Nick made it fun. Definitely coming back!

I went there to pick up a few cake slices for my dad and didn't know they had a deli there too. Arden (I think that was her name) was super helpful when I called to make sure they had a few slices of a specific cake. Went to pick up the cake and ended up bringing home sandwiches and candies too. Great service and yummy food. 😋

This place is one of my favorite places downtown. It's like a small convenience store with many German products and merchandise. During my visit, we got spaghetti ice cream!! I never even heard of anything like it, but it's basically just ice cream ran through an extruder topped with raspberry syrup and white chocolate shavings.

I love this store. It's my favorite place in Sanford. I would go here weekly. Instead, I only go about 3 times per year because the owners just can't get the store to flow efficiently with the employees. It is ALWAYS a very long and inefficient ordeal to go there to get something. And this predates Covid. I've been going there for 7 years. They've tried to help by extending the register further away from the deli counter but it didn't help. I was still there 30 minutes recently just to buy a sandwich for take out and it was not a weekend day. My suggestion to the owners if you read this: pay a much higher wage and hire more employees. If you pay significantly more, you will get employees there who can run your store efficiently and you will make more $ in the long run. If someone like me would shop there 50 times per year rather than 3, don't you think you'd offset your higher labor cost by increased revenue? Just a suggestion.

The perfect place for all things German! A huge selection of dry foods (cookies, biscuits, candies), beer, desserts, and deli. Hollerbachs also sells delicious bread, meats, and sandwiches. A must-visit stop in Sanford!

Very interesting shop. Unexpectedly we discovered that the best cookies around are here. They are a bit expensive ($6 and change) but worth it. We loved the cupcakes we got too. All chocolate lovers should know about this place for sure.

So delicious! I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was great. I tryed the flensburger pilsner beer and liked it so much, I took a 6 pack home with me. Definitely going back. Highly recommend 👌 this authentic German deli.

Amazing blueberry cheesecake! The other items we purchased were all good too. The prices are just a bit high and the cooler has so much condensation on the inside you can hardly see the products.

Love this place. They got everything here and the cafe has great sandwiches and drinks. They also got a clothing store next door if you are in the market for clothing. They got T Shirts, costumes and some really nice wool sweater jackets.

Food's good, but don't ask to buy a gift, the 2 young men I asked to buy a stein had no clue what I wanted or even what it was. That should a basic knowledge requirement to even work at a German restaurant. Glad they weren't servers!

Very thankful for the nice young cashier who went above and beyond to get me some plumstreussel cake. The other guy told me no they don’t have any yet as we got in right after they opened and the cashier told him yes you do its down there he told him I don’t care about some stupid plums right now and continued on his phone. After shopping some more I politely asked the cashier so do you really not have any plum cake he replied we do how many pieces would you like. Thank you as we drove an hour to shop here and was craving this and was getting some for friends to thank them that helped us prepare for the hurricane we had.

Probably the all time best German restaurant I've been to. The good is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is absolutely first rate. Great beer selections. After your meal, visit their German store around the corner. They have everything and the prices are very reasonable. I try to eat at Hollerbach's every time I visit Orlando.
