We stopped in to see the historic Grey Mule Saloon and were excited that it was a wine tasting bar because we used to own a wine shop in Washington State. I tried all of the whites and my husband tried the reds. We also tried their sangria and a Ray’s spirits cocktail. Everything was delicious and the prices are great. Sarah was helpful, kind, and informative. We also enjoyed meeting two locals (a father and son), the father has been here since the 40s. The warm Texas welcome and hospitality was greatly appreciated. It was fun to talk about Texas and enjoy Texas wine in a historic building.

My wife and I absolutely loved it. Michel is a colorful West Texas character (which is made more fun by the fact that he is French), and he is just the kind of host you'd hope for when you walk into one if the oldest saloons in the southwest United States. I highly recommend the Grey Mule.

Loved spending my Sunday afternoon here! Monica was the absolute best; she made us feel extra special! Many wines to choose from and kids are welcome. Nice patio space and cozy indoor tasting room. Reasonably priced; no pressure to buy bottles or be rushed out as the afternoon became busier.

Wonderful experience. I have never done a wine tasting for the price they charge. Very reasonable prices, 5 tastings for $6. We bought 2 bottles of wine. Meat and cheese board was great. Sue was so friendly and really enjoyed talking to her!

The staff were very knowledgeable on their Texas selections. We enjoyed visiting with locals and my husband and I shared a delicious cheeseboard with our 5 "tastes" apiece. An hour, or so...we made our exit with a crisp Chardonnay, a snappy Malbec and a bottle of infused local olive oil , nicely tagged and bagged. I would recommend checking this little gem on your pass through Fort Stockton.😏

Wish they had non pork meats but sometimes ya gotta go with the flow and drink up. Great staff!!! I had the blood orange drink and there was a paloma both excellent.

Visited this great little place for the wine tasting on 06/11/21. Vineyard is several miles out of town, so no tours here. Server was very friendly. We bought several bottles to take home. Only down fall was they don't open until later in the day. We had visited the Annie Riggs Museum early in the day, would have been nice to stop in after that stop. But we did return & enjoyed it!

This place is amazing!! Great craft cocktails and friendly service in a beautiful backyard setting! They have a fun selection of unique olive oils, vinegars and other gifts to take home. We were fortunate to have Sara as our bartender and she made our experience memorable! We will definitely be back!!

We stopped in Fort Stockton on our 28 hour drive just to come back to the Grey Mule! They have fantastic wines and offer true Texas hospitality—definitely worth a visit if you are in town! I have attached photos of some of their wine menu as of August 2022 (they have food and other drinks too) but their wine menu is constantly revolving so check back in frequently.

My wife and I stopped in today to do a wine tasting. Sue was there for us and it was able to explain about the various wines and help this pick the wines that we tasted. Her presentation was excellent, and the wines were quite good we actually bought some. I also noticed at the bottom of the menu that they have some excellent desserts - the cream brulee my wife thought was Superior and the chocolate lava cake was also very good. We watched Sue heat up the brulee and brown the top of it like a champ. It was a wonderful visit and we felt like we were welcomed as valuable customers. That's the way to do good customer service. Well worth the trip, and two thumbs up!

OMG 😳 We went to Grey Mule wine Salon last night! The wines were very good & the prices are very reasonable most under $20. We ordered a pizza & was very good. The staffs there were so friendly & Adrian was our server & was great. We sat outside patio & this place is dog 🐶 friendly. ❤️❤️❤️ 👍. We got 3 bottles wines to go! Don’t miss out this place if you are stop in downtown Fort Stockton !

The owner of the Grey Mule Wine Saloon served us two bottles and was very humble and kind. Professional. Awesome. I definitely recommend this Saloon.

Great place to have a glass with friends. Relaxing with great service. If you don't know your wine the staff is very knowledgeable about everything they have!!
