**Edit**
Since
I
cannot
reply
to
the
hotel
directly
I
will
respond
here.
I
wasn't
going
to
get
into
specifics
about
the
situation,
but
either
this
hotel
has
me
confused
with
another
guest
(which
is
entirely
possible
as
the
reservation
was
under
my
family's
name,
not
mine)
or
is
lying
to
make
themselves
look
better.
I
had
3
interactions
with
staff
my
entire
trip.
I
never
complained
about
children
nor
used
any
derogatory
language
with
staff,
so
I
am
genuinely
confused
about
these
statements.
I
called
downstairs
twice
over
an
hour
period
concerned
about
either
construction
or
a
potential
domestic
dispute
and
was
told
to
change
rooms
because
they
could
not
get
the
other
guest
to
calm
down.
My
family
as
well
as
other
guests
heard
him
screaming
in
his
room
as
well
since
they
were
next
to
him
on
the
top
floor.
He
walked
down
while
I
was
downstairs
waiting
for
a
room
change
and
was
clearly
intoxicated,
barefoot,
slurring
his
words
and
screaming
at
the
staff.
HE
was
using
derogatory
and
sexist
language
to
the
staff
and
I
was
as
uncomfortable
as
the
front
desk
ladies
during
this
interaction.
Im
actually
quite
surprised
they
didnt
call
the
police.
As
i
was
walking
away
i
could
still
hear
him
screaming
at
them.
While
I
absolutely
would've
left,
the
time
was
11pm
at
night
and
I
was
in
no
state
to
continue
driving
after
an
already
long
day
of
driving.
I
didn't
receive
any
additional
amenities
for
the
room
change
and
was
in
fact
afraid
for
my
well-being
with
the
intoxicated
guest
in
the
hotel
(or
as
they
put
it
their
"elite
rewards
member").
I
don't
believe
putting
the
blame
on
myself
for
how
the
staff
handled
a
situation
with
an
intoxicated
guest
is
the
best
course
of
action.
I
was
actually
very
nervous
to
call
the
front
desk
as
I've
never
experienced
this
situation
before
or
even
requested
a
room
change
in
a
hotel
before.
I
in
no
way
was
rude
or
hostile
to
the
staff
and
would've
expressed
my
gratitude
but
we
were
interrupted
by
their
"elite
rewards
member".
I
think
it
says
a
lot
on
how
the
hotel
responded
to
my
review,
basically
blaming
me
for
a
situation
that
I
didn't
cause
nor
escalate
but
in
fact
their
staff
did
not
handle
correctly.
It's
also
interesting
with
the
limited
interaction
I
had
that
somehow
race
is
being
brought
up.
I
think
I
said
3
sentences
total
to
the
front
desk
which
were
all
over
the
phone
and
I
only
said
my
room
number
when
I
came
down.
I
stand
by
my
review
more
now
than
before
based
on
their
response.
Initial
Review:
We
chose
this
hotel
in
Fort
Stockton
because
it
had
the
most
consistent
ratings.
It
is
slim
pickings
here
because
the
town
is
so
small.
I
suggest
avoiding
Fort
Stockton
all
together
if
you
can.
However,
if
you
can't
avoid
it,
make
sure
to
stay
on
the
top
floor!
The
walls
are
paper
thin,
you
can
hear
everything,
including
your
neighbors
snoring
and
their
alarm
clocks
going
off.
The
person
upstairs
sounded
like
they
were
moving
the
furniture
all
night.
I
didn't
sleep
for
more
than
a
few
hours
because
of
this.
My
room
was
also
not
cleaned,
used
soap
in
the
shower,
and
had
lots
of
mold
in
the
grout.
Also,
WHY
is
the
coffee
maker
in
the
BATHROOM?!
I'm
not
sure
what
kind
of
laundry
detergent
they
use,
but
the
linens
did
not
smell
or
feel
clean.
I
really
do
not
understand
all
of
the
5
star
reviews
for
this
place.
I
guess
it
makes
sense
if
you
are
traveling
with
your
dog
since
this
is
a
dog
friendly
hotel.
But
with
that
being
said,
many
of
the
non
pet
rooms
smell
like
pet
urine.
There
is
dog
poop
everywhere
in
the
parking
lot,
so
watch
your
step!
We
only
let
the
staff
know
about
the
noise
and
urine
smell
because
we
just
needed
somewhere
to
lay
our
heads
for
the
night.
The
staff
seemed
annoyed
by
our
complaints,
I'm
sure
it
happens
regularly
and
they
can't
do
anything
about
it.
They
did
offer
to
switch
rooms,
but
they
were
sure
to
let
me
know
how
inconvenienced
they
were
by
this.
Final
verdict,
I
would
rather
sleep
in
my
car
at
a
rest
stop
off
of
the
interstate
than
the
Best
Western
in
Fort
Stockton.
