We
visited
Crown
Republic
Gastropub
while
visiting
Cincinnati
for
a
show
at
a
local
theater.
The
reservation
was
early
(for
us)
at
4
PM.
Upon
entering,
it
was
clear
we
didn’t
need
reservations
as
the
tables
were
completely
empty
and
only
a
few
people
at
the
bar.
Regardless,
the
host
chose
to
seat
us
in
the
very
back
corner
of
the
restaurant
right
next
to
a
curtain
separating
us
from
what
sounded
like
the
back
of
the
kitchen.
The
staff
in
that
area
were
so
loud
we
couldn’t
talk
over
them.
They
were
using
very
inappropriate
(racist)
language.
There
was
no
need
to
seat
us
there
and
it
made
most
of
the
visit
uncomfortable.
By
the
time
we
were
considering
asking
to
be
moved
the
restaurant
had
filled
up
so
there
weren’t
many
options
and
we
decided
to
sit
through
it.
The
food
was
decent.
We
started
with
the
Burrata
&
Tomato
Jam,
the
cheese
had
no
flavor
and
the
jam
was
way
too
sweet,
this
cam
recommended
from
our
server.
It
was
a
large
portion
and
we
did
not
finish
it
(because
of
the
size
and
dessert
taste).
We
next
split
a
wedge
salad
that
was
excellent,
the
dressing
and
blue
cheese
were
great.
I
ordered
the
stake
and
frites,
the
steak
was
about
40%
fat
and
gristle,
so
most
of
it
was
thrown
out.
It
was,
however,
cooked
as
I
requested.
The
amount
of
shoestring
fries
was
massive.
They
were
tasty,
but
just
too
much.

If
I’m
in
the
area
again,
I
might
revisit,
but
not
without
checking
out
other
spots
first.
