My mouth is still watering from all the food I had here! The menus options and the amazing cocktail list are a must try for people who truly enjoy eating delicious cuisine. This is on the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Cincinnati.

The food is very good and all made from scratch and to order. I had the vodka rigatoni and it had a sweetness to the sauce and less creamy flavor than expected but still very good. We also got the hummus with pita and the pita tasted like it was homemade and was DELICIOUS! The hummus was so fresh and yummy tasting too. My mom had a burger and said she really liked it. Lastly, the s'mores brownie sundae was very good but it definitely had too much marshmallow fluff making it very sweet so we just scooped some off and then it was perfect and amazing. The brownie itself was so good!

This was our first time dining at Crown Republic Gastropub. The friendly service started with our phone call explaining we'd be late (due to traffic from the Bengals game) and continued throughout the night. Everything we ordered was delicious! We go out to eat a lot and this is the first time we've been excited about a new restaurant in quite some time! We'll definitely be back!

I’ve had dinner and brunch, both are great!! They take reservations so that’s a plus. For brunch I had steak and eggs. Dinner I had Mushroom Capellini with steak ❤️ Great vibe not fancy but food sure feels like it.

This place is awesome! The food was delicious, fresh, and the staff was so friendly! We ordered the everything knots, the carbanora, the queen crown drink! Would go back often!

Started out with the Duck Fat Hummus and Garlic Knots, both of which were crazy delicious. Moved on to the Steak Frites which again was nothing short of amazing. Apple Cake for dessert which was a decadent treat. Waitress was on top of her game - courteous, fast, friendly and efficient. Place is soooo worth a visit, no doubt.

Incredible service both beforehand while making my reservation and during the dinner. Madeline Schmidt was such a great point person. Jill, Hampton and the rest of the wait staff (I apologize I do not remember any other names) could not have been more attentive to our large group in the best way possible. All of the food and drinks were fantastic. Please move the eggplant parm special to the regular menu = YUM. I received great drink recommendations as well - the Queen's Crown cocktail was perfectly sweet. THANK YOU for such wonderful hospitality; I will definitely be back.

We visited Crown Republic Gastropub while visiting Cincinnati for a show at a local theater. The reservation was early (for us) at 4 PM. Upon entering, it was clear we didn’t need reservations as the tables were completely empty and only a few people at the bar. Regardless, the host chose to seat us in the very back corner of the restaurant right next to a curtain separating us from what sounded like the back of the kitchen. The staff in that area were so loud we couldn’t talk over them. They were using very inappropriate (racist) language. There was no need to seat us there and it made most of the visit uncomfortable. By the time we were considering asking to be moved the restaurant had filled up so there weren’t many options and we decided to sit through it. The food was decent. We started with the Burrata & Tomato Jam, the cheese had no flavor and the jam was way too sweet, this cam recommended from our server. It was a large portion and we did not finish it (because of the size and dessert taste). We next split a wedge salad that was excellent, the dressing and blue cheese were great. I ordered the stake and frites, the steak was about 40% fat and gristle, so most of it was thrown out. It was, however, cooked as I requested. The amount of shoestring fries was massive. They were tasty, but just too much. Atmosphere: 2 Food: 3 Service: 5 Overall: 3 If I’m in the area again, I might revisit, but not without checking out other spots first.

Great food. I ordered steak and eggs, good spices and perfectly cooked eggs. The cocktails weren't too sweet, I had the spicy paloma. I liked the bloody mary options, but it reminded me of the standard zing zang mix. (Which isn't my favorite, but a lot of people like that style). The duck fat humus was excellent~!

The appetizers well some of the tastiest food I’ve had. I’m not a hummus fan but I’m glad my wife ordered the duck fat hummus as I couldn’t stop eating it. The wings fell off the bone and I was pleasantly surprised with the blueberry bbq seasoning. The garlic knots are for people who love everything seasoning. Thankfully it easily rubs off. It was over powering and took away from the garlic knots themselves. The gnocchi was spot on and the reason for the 4 and not 5 was honestly the chicken sandwich. It had no flavor compared to all the other food and it was bland. So sad because everything else was amazing.

So the food was great and also the server. Unfortunately this restaurant isn’t set up to handle accidents. As an OSHA professional each establishment is required to have an incident/ accident reporting system . This documentation is in place to cover the establishment as well as all parties that are injured. A friend cut his leg thumb on a glass that fell and it begun to bleed. He informed the server of what happened place and I asked the server if they had an incident report for him to fill out , she replied she didn’t know. I asked for her to get the manager. The manager came out and said she was sorry that she heard there had been an accident. I asked if he manager if they had any incident reports that he could fill out . She ignored me and looked at his finger and said it was a small cut and suggested he get a bandage and hold his arm up to stop the bleeding. The manager repeated the statement here it’s a small cut , mind you his think kept bleeding. Whether it’s a small cut or not , as an establishment you are required to have documentation on any incident/accident that involves customers and employees during open hours. I am amazed that this requested was ignored by the manger of this establishment.

We had the reservation and we arrived on time. We were led to a table by the receptionist. We had no problem at this part. Everything went wrong with our waitress. She showed no patience with an absent-minded attitude. Disappeared most of the time. Our orders came far late, and even the customers who came far later got their dinner served way before us. We were served by the waitress next to our table. Finally, our waitress showed up and routinely asked if everything was good.... We asked boxes for leftovers. Here came the word that I never heard from any waitress I met - She looked at our table and said "Do you hate it?" with a mean tone. The check was brought by the nice waitress next table. We still gave 20% tips. That's for the nice waitress. Maybe our waitress had a bad day but taking attitude to serve the customers is unprofessional. I gave this negative comment for the restaurant because the management failed to have such an unqualified employee to serve your customers.... Your food is OK, but ruining customers' mood makes the taste disgusting....

We dined in for the first time today, it was wonderful! The gnocchi was was absolutely delightful, the sauce was so good I could eat a bowl of it on its own! The chicken sandwich was a big hit with the table. The kale Caesar was delightful. The other favorite was the broccoli side, cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back!

Small restaurant with great food. We made reservations for 3 for Saturday evening. We were promptly seated when we arrived and water brought to the table. We ordered drinks and they were brought out quickly. Food was great. We cleaned the plates. Burger was fantastic and everyone else enjoyed the salmon. The place was completely full at 6:00 pm on Saturday. We're glad we made reservations. Only issue was $10 for parking and I wish they just brought out more ketchup with that amount of fries. No problem, I just asked for more.

Great place with a peppy vibe. Went here to celebrate a friend's bday. The food is good but not exceptionally great, which I was expecting based on most of the other reviews. Our server however was outstanding. It was crazy busy on a Saturday and she still made sure our glasses were always full of water. She knew the menu very well and had great suggestions about appetizers and drinks. She made sure that the cake was brought in on time and was very kind to pack it up for us after we were done. Overall we had a good experience. I wish they had more vegetarian options.

I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Above average for sure but nothing stellar. Good service, good food (the octopus app was especially good) but not wowed. We left full without spending a small fortune so that's a win. Would return.

Was visiting Cincinnati to cheer on a friend during the Flying Pig Marathon and we ate at the Crown Republic Gastropub the night before the race. The food was fantastic! The table shared an order of Duck Fat Humus and Everything Knots. I also indulged in two American Trilogy cocktails, a Wedge Salad, and the Steak & Frites. Spent more than I usually would on a meal since it was a vacation, but it was worth every penny.

Food was very good. Homemade pasta was cooked to perfection. Small bites (duck fat hummus, "everything" knots) came quickly and easily shareable. House cocktails were original but pretty pricy. Service was fantastic. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Dessert (apple cake) was outstanding. Casual environment and good vibe. Pretty pricey, gratuity was included on a party of 6, which I thought was strange for such a small group. (I still tipped extra because the service was great)

This place is amazing! First off, the wait staff was incredible, and made our experience just so much better (shout out to Rylan specifically). On top of that the food was also incredible. We got some garlic knots to split and pastas for main courses, and both were absolutely delicious!

It's a very good spot for dinner in Cincinnati. The menu is not so extensive (which I really like), but it has a variety of different types of food. Drinks, atmosphere and drinks are good as well. French onion soup dumplings were so good! Just be careful when you order vodka rigatoni if you don't like spicy food because it was very spicy. Nice restaurant!

This is the cutest place downtown. Loved the atmosphere and the staff and the food, of course ☺️. We started with the meatballs... amazing! The we did the vodka pasta and wedge salad and ended with chocolate chip cookies... Which were unbelievable. Alex was our server and he was so sweet and made excellent recommendations! Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!!
