This hotel was in a perfect location. The view is outstanding and everything we needed was in walking distance. The only issue I had was parking. They offer a 40$ overnight valet parking option that we decided was best for us. Aside from that you are responsible for your own parking place. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This hotel is very up to date! I would stay again!

Overall great experience. Carl who was cleaning made sure to help us and was amazing and put or experience over the top and made sure we hade a good stay. From when we pulled up the valet was great and every employee made us enjoy our stay. The bartender Sydney was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and nice. The whole stay was excellent and enjoyed greatly. Can’t say enough about how great it was.

The hotel itself was a nice place to stay. Definitely convenient to the Great American Ballpark. It is definitely not cheap. Excessively expensive. But it was clean. The staff was nice. Valets were good. It’s overall a good place to stay.

This hotel is by far one of the most beautiful downtown unfortunately I did not get to stay at my last visit, as the Front desk would not let me check in. I was assured by the paying party that my name was left at the desk as she was assured she did not have to leave me a key in that everything would be taken care of. This however was not the case and I was not allowed to go up to my room that was already paid for, mind you I had already checked my car into the valet (tipped) and had my bags in hand . Not the best customer service as I have had fewer problems at far less expensive hotels and much more friendly staff to want to fix the problem. I definitely will not be back here and I will not recommend this hotel in the future to others . //Unfortunately the hotel made no attempt to contact me to correct this unfortunate experience even after contacting support. Customer care is lacking greatly.

The room was paid for by my work. The front desk told me when I swiped my card it was only for incidental issues and nothing about it counting also for parking. I got a $40 charge and even called and was told it would drop off and it was “taxes”. Yet didn’t fall off. So I called again and was told it was for valet and it went to me and not my work’s card that paid for the room. So I got hit with $40 after being told TWICE I wouldn’t. Absolutely awful. I should be reimbursed.

Pros: Nice rooms and incredibly great location directly across the street from Great American Ball Park, friendly personnel. Major con: they do a VERY poor job of getting folks into their rooms before 3pm. Dozens of folks were waiting for rooms to be released. With game time at 4pm this hotel does not cater to the very customers who are booking the rooms. They really need to work on releasing rooms the second they are cleaned and they need to clean rooms as soon as folks check out.

I just completed a 4-night stay with my family at this trendy hotel. The location, service, and quality of the hotel are great. I was mainly surprised at the mandatory valet service and $40/night charge. I reviewed all the email I received about my upcoming stay here, and didn't see this disclosed anywhere. We ate out for breakfast daily, given what we believed was an overpriced cost for their European style breakfast. We also didn't care for the lack of a microwave in the room or the barn style glass door on the bathroom which offered zero privacy. Sometimes being trendy doesn't make good functional sense, especially for a room with two beds. I would return here again, but with a more informed set of expectations. After management responded to this review, I wanted to add that I booked via telephone to the hotel front desk. The concierge did not mention the valet service or associated fees when reviewing rates and fees.

Nice room and great service. The river view balcony and roof top deck were the highlights. It does get noisy at night but we wanted to be in the city so didnt bother us much. Rooms are nice but nothing crazy. Rainfall showerhead was really nice.

Great experience overall. Room was very nice with a great view. Valet service was always prompt and friendly. One of the nicest dog friendly hotels I’ve stayed at.

If you’re looking for a quiet night’s sleep, this is NOT your hotel. It’s extremely loud during Reds home games and Friday/Saturday nights. We inquired about changing rooms to have a view that doesn’t look at the ballpark, to which they told us they’d look into and to come back in a few hours. A few hours past and they said they’re completely sold out and couldn’t do anything. Also, our bathroom faucet is hanging off the piping.

Location was right across from GAB and perfect for anyone attending a Reds game, plenty of restaurants/bars nearby, greeted by Anna at check in, stayed on 3rd floor (next time request a high floor due to loud street noise), valet w/Brennan who was kind and professional on a busy night, checked out w/Antonio who ensured everything was ok. Didn’t dine for buffet but looks like you get your moneys worth. Everyone encountered was fantastic and kudos to the housekeeping team who are the hardest workers in the hotel industry.

This is one of the best hotels in the Cincinnati area. Rooms are crazy nice and have lots of ports for charging 😁 Service was great, room was very clean, and the workout room was really nice. My only knock on this place, is I think the breakfast is a bit overpriced... but your within walking distance from several great breakfast joints and other great eatery's. Also... the rooftop bar is a must visit, even if your not staying there.

Amazing spot in Cincinnati that's close to everything! Rooms are super clean and nice. Staff from the valet to room attendants are very welcoming. Great view from the balcony rooms! Hotels like this are the reason I am loyal to Marriott!

We recently stayed at the AC Hotel by Marriott Cincinnati at The Banks and it was an outstanding experience! Firstly, the location is unbeatable - with easy access to restaurants, downtown, and sports venues. The rooftop bar was fun and valet parking was so convenient. Our room was spotless and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping everything tidy and refreshed throughout our stay. We had a balcony room that faced all of the restaurants and bars, which was noisy at night, but that's something we actually appreciated since we were there for a game -- it just added to the experience of our stay. But what truly sets this hotel apart is its staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. Overall, we would highly recommend the AC Hotel by Marriott Cincinnati at The Banks. With its prime location, friendly and attentive staff, and impeccable cleanliness, it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We look forward to returning soon!

Location is perfect for all events downtown, especially the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. Bars and restaurants all around the area within walking distance. The lobby is spacious and clean, valet parking. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have great views from the 4th floor. The rooms are quiet , won't hear outside noises. The bathrooms are very clean and updated. Definitely recommend this location.

The location of this hotel is great and front desk staff and valet are friendly enough. However the cleanliness of the hotel rooms is beyond lacking, borderline disgusting. The shower seemed dirty like it was adequately cleaned with dirty, dusty vents. The bedding was dirty. I nicely asked for it to be changed- and it was- but with more dirt crusted blankets. When I AGAIN asked for the bedding to be changed, no one arrived. I called back and the front desk staff had to himself bring nursing home Brillo pad blankets and some extra sheets- I assume because since it was now after normal business hours, that’s what they had. I appreciate the gesture from the front desk but for the money it costs to stay here- this is unacceptable. What good is the location if you have to stay in filth? Also, if noise bothers you or you’re a light sleeper, you won’t be able to sleep. But honestly the lack of cleanliness alone is enough for me to recommend elsewhere.

This Courtyard is perfect! Buy a beer while checking in, staff is amazing and helpful, rooms are sweeeeeet! The Lounge has drinks in the building, but there's so many great places in walking distance. Love coming to the Courtyard Mariott, Cincinnati.

Stayed here during the Cincinnati Music Festival. The rooms were chic with an outstanding shower. I wasn’t pleased that the rooms don’t have a microwave as I’m the type to bring my own food because proper vegan options are sometimes hard to find, BUT THE STAFF WAS STELLAR! With no hesitation the kitchen staff warmed up every dish on a proper plate or bowl whenever I needed. I had a great stay and will return with no hesitation. They also accepted my service animal with open arms.

Great location and clean room but very plain. It felt like a bed in an institution. Tiny closet with literally 18” to hang your clothes. Bare minimum effort with decorating or amenities. Small bathroom with grungy shower with a very slippery floor. Tiny bottles of soap and shampoo. Scratchy thin towels. Dull brown walls. Lumpy bed. It just felt dark and dingy. Not a cozy comfortable hotel. The covered patio was pointless because when it rains the whole patio is soaked.

Great place to stay in downtown Cincinnati. Walking distance to both of the stadiums. Very close tons of close restaurants and bars. There is valet parking and a great lobby with a nice bar. Also there is a rooftop bar that looks out towards the Ohio River and is very scenic. I recommend staying here if you want to be in the heart of it all for game days or any other event that's happening in downtown Cincinnati.

Stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. Was not there to see a concert or game. Now if you are the type of person who likes crowds, loud music, ball games, drinking and staying up till 2 in the morning, then this is the place for you. If you want a quite place to get some rest and an easy location to travel to and fro, then I would suggest you look elsewhere. The hotel is very nice and comfortable, just not sound proof and it is in a very congested location.

The location and pet friendliness is what makes this hotel worthwhile. Everything else was mediocre at best. I was supposed to check in on Thursday but was unable to make it. When I visited the app to check in online on Friday morning, my stay was gone; not in present, past, or cancelled. I called at 0500 on Friday morning to confirm my stay and let them know I was going to be there. The desk clerk confirmed that my stay was still reserved and I would be "good" if I arrived on Friday afternoon. When I arrived, my stay was cancelled. I had been charged the cancellation fee and my reservation was no longer available. The hotel was accommodating and gave me a room as a "walk-in" but it was a one queen no balcony city view as opposed to the two queen, balcony room I had booked. The amenities are honestly lacking for a hotel of this cost in the US. No breakfast, no room service. Also, the hotel is pet friendly but there is absolutely no access aside from the main entrance and no stairs accessible from the ground level or the outside. This makes taking nervous pets outside (or just being active and not taking an elevator) nearly impossible when going UP. Finally, I was charged $40/day for valet parking that I never used. This was the last straw for me and prompted this review. I would stay there again but only due to the location and the fact that they are pet friendly downtown, which is rare.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Great views. The rooms are very nice. I would recommend taking a room that is not on Freedom Way as it can be very loud at night. Fitness center could be a little bigger but is adequate. The staff were very professional. Many restaurants in walking distance. Within walking distance to National Underground Railroad Museum, Paul Brown Stadium, and Great American Ballpark. I would definitely stay again.

This is the worst hotel I terms of price/quality ratio I stayed in years. Nothing like the pictures this hotel is overcrowded. On a pictures you see beautiful roof top with firepit, in reality there are bunch of plastic chair and it's open to public so always overcrowded. There is no security in this hotel - anyone can go to any floor. I felt unsafe. Streets are often closed, so it's difficult to get to and from the hotel - hense the 4-star for location otherwise location is great and it's the only thing that is great about this hotel.

My Dear reviewers, I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Marriott property and I couldn’t find enough great things to say. All things are top notch as is customary but the staff is what takes this place above and beyond. The beautiful folks Alli & Stephen at the front desk made this stay pop! Many thanks to them and the rest of the staff for making our stay more than memorable!

The wife and I stayed here while visiting OH. The location was RIGHTEOUS!!!! The hotel was clean, offered valet (NOT free),and had a rooftop bar overlooking the river. GREAT place to stay if you're in town for a football or baseball game.

I booked the one bedroom king suite and it was so dirty. Poop stains in the toilet, hair in the shower, the floors haven’t been swept. I attempted to take a shower and the towels smelled like mildew. I used to be a housekeeping manager and where I’m from this room wouldn’t have passed inspection. The tables weren’t wiped down. We left an hour after arriving. Really big space but was just so dirty we didn’t feel comfortable. Such a shame, the lobby and hotel itself was nice. One star for that.

Absolutely fantastic. I was late getting a room under a special rate but they took good care of me regardless. The hotel is on a corner of a street downtown named after my father who I’m named after. This was waiting for me when I got to my room. I was deeply touched.

Recently stayed at the AC for a 3 night business trip. Really impressed! Location was fantastic, my room was clean, and everyone I encountered (hotel staff) was very friendly. If a return trip to Cincinnati is expected, I will definitely stay at the AC again.

Very clean and nice hotel. Everyone working there was incredibly nice and helpful. Only downside was the price and added cost to valet. Total for the room with valet was $365 after taxes, but it was New Years Eve. Highly recommend, but not at that price point. We did see Goose, what a show!!!

We had a decent stay at AC Hotel. The lobby and rooms seemed modern and updated. Lack of parking other than $40 valet was unfortunate. I mostly booked this hotel for the rooftop bar and the outdoor space with fire pits promoted in the photos on Google; I was disappointed to hear after I checked in that the rooftop bar was closed and all the fire pits that normally were in an outdoor space off the side of the property had been moved up to the bar area. This would probably be a cool place to stay for a baseball game or over the summer, but it wasn’t worth the price for a Monday night in November when most things around it were closed.

If it wasn't for the location there would be no reason to stay here. Right across the street from Reds Ballpark and super close to the river, parks, downtown, and Bengals stadium. The rooms are spartan, five total hangers and two tiny drawers. I guess they want you to just use the bench under the television. There's no microwave, the fridge barely holds a six pack, and the TV doesn't swivel so you can only watch the TV if you're on the bed. Amenities are slim with them charging $16 for a continental breakfast and $40 to park your car (valet parking is the only thing available so tips in addition to the parking cost) I will definitely be looking for another place to stay next time I'm in Cincinnati

I'm underwhelmed by this hotel. The hosts at the front desk were friendly and cheerful, but they forgot to greet us as 'valued members' and no points or gift was offered. And they charged us for valet parking, which we did not. The location is prime if you're attending a game, but otherwise this property is not worth the exorbitant rate.

  • 4/5 M W. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel itself is beautiful and the view is amazing!! The rooms are okay, they could probably use some updating and the cleanliness of the room was okay. The girl who checked me out was so friendly and had great customer service. I would definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area!!

  • 5/5 Tamara M. 1 year ago on Google
We had great stay here. Our room was nice and clean but very basic in terms of in room amenities. The hotel itself is beautiful and all the staff we encountered were lovely. The roof top bar is really great. Looking forward to another stay!
