Overall such a great experience. I stayed here for a week long work trip and had to write a review... rooms in general were fairly average. Nothing crazy, but the beds were fairly comfortable. The staff is what really made the experience great. The staff was very helpful and truly listened to anything I needed. My team and I had several packages sent to the hotel and the staff was very helpful to have us find all the boxes. The valet was truly amazing! So fast and all the boys were so nice. I had to move my car in and out of valet SEVERAL times and they were always quick, kind, and very respectful.

I stayed overnight for my daughter's prom. She chose this hotel to take pictures because of the beautiful decor in the lobby. The room is slightly smaller than average but decorated nicely. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. The valet is just $45 dollars and worth purchasing. This hotel is a great location near the happenings downtown and all the activities on the banks. I would recommend and stay again.

I stayed here as part of a group and one of the members of the group had been billed incorrectly, three months after everything was closed out on check out myself and another member of the group ( Neither of which was the person that had been billed improperly) we’re charged almost $600 each. We contacted the hotel seemingly to have resolved the issue with proof of payment and bank statements. A month and a half after this we were charged $600 each again after going through the same process with accounting again we found that their representatives were lying to us about what the other one had said after speaking with the other person that was charged. After going through the details of what happened there was a discrepancy of under $200 which neither one of us were responsible for they would not take the hold off either one of our cards until it was paid which I then had to bite the bullet and take care of so that the $1200 would be refunded . The staff was unprofessional especially accounting they held the $1200 of our money hostage lied to us over a discrepancy that was not either one of our responsibility. I am disgusted by the way this hotel conducts their business I would never risk staying here again and I would never recommend this to anybody that is looking for a hotel in the Cincinnati area there are a ton of hotels with better rates better policies and staff that will not lie to you or hold your money hostage this hotel was like dealing with a loan shark and at the end of the day it was an error on their part and they help people responsible for their own errors. Everyone involved in this situation is now contacting the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau by and large the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a hotel.

Great Experience, Great Location, and Wonderful Cost for the Value! The room was extra large and very clean. We loved the décor. The only drawback was the bathroom design. It was stylish but not practical. The main door is a sliding door and you have to be careful when closing it or you will smash your fingers. The faucet hardly hangs over into the sink so it is not very functional. You have to turn almost a complete 180 to get TP from the holder.

As Gold Marriott members, it was incredible to get instantly upgraded to a private suite. The check in staff was incredibly helpful and courteous with no wait. The room was huge, immaculate and regally designed. The bed was insanely comfortable. The bathroom was marble and shower was perfect. If you're going to see the Reds/Bengals play, on a business trip, or out for a romantic weekend with your spouse, you can't go wrong with Renaissance Hotel.

Valet staff was nice. Front lobby staff was nice. Nice looking room. . Was excited to stay after a long drive. However, all the little things started to add up. Was staying for wedding but room was missing an iron. So had to come down to request one. So on the way downstairs I got stuck in elevator for 10 minutes. Had to press emergency call, but eventually guest from lobby pressed button which let me out. That’s just unlucky, but it wasn’t pleasant. Returned to room only to be sent back downstairs when my wife let me know that the room didn’t include any toilet paper. Had to return to lobby for toilet paper. Door handle in bathroom also loose. Nearly coming off. Later in the evening getting ready for bed noticed what looks like blood stains on pillows. Again, these things alone are forgivable and almost understandable for big establishment but really begins to stack when added together.

I’m not sure “Good” is accurate, but I felt it was better than two stars. If there was a 2.5 star option I’d have chosen that one. The first thing I noticed is that the valet staff are extremely disorganized. I stayed there for 4 days, used valet several times a day, and I had to get out of my car and let them know I was there every time. The valet drop off area is crowded and often lines extend into the intersection which is very dangerous. They need more parking attendants. The check in process was fine. But the room had an issue. The bathroom door is a barn door style on a rail, and one of the wheels had come lose, so the forward edge of the door was resting on the carpet. Heavy door, carpet = too much force in the handle and it almost came off in my hand. It took two days and repeated requests to get it fixed. Housekeeping comes too early. they came at 9am on Friday morning, when I was rehearsing and I asked them to come back in an hour. They never came back. And when they did come Saturday to make up the room, they left garbage and dishes on the desk. Their housekeeping staff needs an overhaul. The best part was the bed. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to get a good nights sleep… and I guess at the end of the day that’s what matters in a hotel, but I could have gotten that for a third the cost. I doubt I’ll be back.

Location was great, room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Being a Marriott Bonvoy member made check in/out easy and having a mobile key meant not having to deal with the front desk at all. The only thing that makes me give it 3 stars is that check out is at 11:00AM but at 10:00AM & 10:20AM the day of, housekeeping knocked then attempted to barge in both times. Luckily we had the latch flipped so they could not open the door all the way, but there was no do not disturb sign to put on the door to prevent this either.

Very central & great place to stay at. Service was great. Location/ valet was good. We stayed for a week during New Years & even a wedding was going on & the service was still top notch. Restaurant downstairs has really good food also. Housekeeping can improve. If you already in the room might as well do a quick cleaning (I’ve stayed at several & whenever I’ve asked for something they to be done they usually just do a quick cleaning). We asked for the bed sheets to be changed & all they did was just make the bed same sheets were still there. There were crumbs on the floor since we were there with kids & the trash wasn’t even taken out. I know I just asked for the sheets to be changed but I mean clearly you can see the trash was overflowing.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Renaissance and it was truly a magical experience. The building itself is gorgeous and the setting made our wedding even more fantastic. Most of our guests were from out of town and they truly appreciated the hotel’s central location and the ease of having all wedding activities in one location. They also enjoyed nearby Cincinnati attractions during the wedding weekend, such as the streetcar, the Banks, Findlay Market, Fountain Square, various museums, the Zoo, etc. It was a pleasure to work with Danielle Clark and the entire hotel staff during the time prior to the wedding and on our wedding day. Danielle was always very responsive to our emails and was very helpful. The chef, banquet staff, post wedding brunch staff, front desk staff, valets, room service personnel, etc. were all very receptive and understanding regarding our concerns, whether it involved rooms for our guests, guest count, parking, or dietary issues. Danielle was familiar with and worked efficiently with our planner, vendors and officiant. The hotel staff was especially friendly and kind to us and all of our out of town guests who stayed at the hotel. Everyone raved about the hotel, the staff, the delicious food, the location, etc. We are thrilled that we selected the Renaissance for our wedding and will always cherish the memories of the day, which were made even more remarkable by the special Renaissance staff.

My mom and I are staying at this hotel and we decided to try the restaurant connected. Our waitress was the sweetest, most genuine woman ever. The food was great and our appetizers were yummy. I ended up not liking my first meal and the waitress noticed and got me something else that was perfect! She completely switched my experience, they even gave us a free dessert. The staff was just so incredibly kind to us. It was quiet and relaxing inside- Very clean and taken care of. Overall such a great experience. Ask for Hiwot as your waitress if you go, she’s the best!!

Service desk was great! I stayed there for the Reds game. Parking is limited due to its location but it is expected. Your can park in the Westin Hotel parking lot, again, it's limited unless you want to valet. Hotel rooms were clean and the bartenders were great! Definitely would stay again! It's walking distance to everything!

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any hotel. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it. The Renaissance was beautiful. The staff was accommodating, and a Gentleman bt the name of Tate made sure that me and my family's stay was great.

Great hotel, GREAT staff, & very clean! Great location for entertainment. I would have given 5 stars but it was lots of noise outside, all night long & no parking garage nearby. The closet parking garage was a block away that was $21/night or you can valet for $42/night.

Hi, we just stayed overnight as a layover on our way to Louisville. Sydney at the front desk was very friendly at check-in. Super comfy beds. Most importantly, I left something in the hotel and Nicol went out of the way to communicate with me and help me receive it in Louisville. Thanks Renaissance Cinci!

Room was nice and quiet for a location downtown. Housekeeping on our 2 night stay was lacking. They did not come by the room and had to ask at dinner to have some fresh towels taken up. Upon our return the towels were laying in a bag on the sink and the dirty towels were all still there. So I had to gather them up and they brought no new wash clothes or hand towels, just two clean bath towels. But the lobby and the downstairs was wonderful and clean!

This boutique hotel is an absolute gem with a super cool vibe and the most perfect room. It’s got a unique charm that really sets it apart, and the best part is that it’s reasonably priced. The valet service here is on a whole other level. I mean, they went above and beyond, even offering to grab something I forgot from my truck! And speaking of service, every single staff member was an incredible example of top notch customer service. It’s pretty rare to find a place where every person genuinely cares about making your stay amazing. If you’re looking for a place that’s stylish, welcoming, and has an unbeatable team, the Renaissance is where you want to be.

As a wedding planner, the Renaissance is one of my favorite venues in Cincinnati to hold events. Danielle and her staff consistently go above and beyond to make sure our couples' days run seamlessly. You can tell they truly care about making sure each client - and their families - are taken care of. If you're looking for a beautiful space with delicious food and service, I highly recommend the Renaissance Hotel for your wedding.

The staff was amazing. Courteous, friendly, etc. but my room was not clean. Thank God I had a double, because the sheets were soiled on one bed. The carpet wasn't vacuumed, there was dust on all surfaces. Very disappointed in the cleanliness. I was only there for 1 night and only in the room for a few hours, otherwise I would have requested to change rooms.

Really nice option in downtown Cincinnati walkable to some good restaurants and with great service at the front desk. The rooms were very clean and I was upgraded to a suite, which was generous in size. I’d definitely come back here on a return Cincinnati visit.

I was here for a holiday staff party and it was amazing. They had panko breaded artichoke balls that were incredible. Seriously get them if you are hosting an event. The salmon with whipped potatoes and snap peas was probably one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had. The staff was professional and polite.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at the Renaissance. It was exactly what I pictured for my wedding weekend. From the moment we first toured the space to the day of our wedding, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Danielle was the utmost professional and made me feel so special every step of the way. I could go on and on about how pleased we were with every detail of the entire weekend that was taken care of by the staff at the Renaissance. From our first meeting with Danielle a whole year out to the lovely details and incredible service at my bridal suite getting ready with my girls on my wedding day, I felt 100% taken care of by the Renaissance Hotel and the fantastic staff. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views and ample space for all of our guests. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the bar service was top-notch. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff at the Renaissance. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful and stress-free wedding experience. The last thing I'll say is that my dad (the one with the check and the "are you sure you don't just want to take the money and elope?" attitude) was blown away by how well we were taken care of all weekend. I've rarely seen him so enthusiastic and impressed.

Great hotel in downtown Cincinnati. Very short walk to the waterfront, Reds and Bengals stadiums. Rooms were very quiet. I didn't hear anyone above, below or beside me in the 2 nights I was there. Function rooms were nice and the bufget meal they provided was excellent.

Great hotel! Everyone at the desk is super nice. Macarena was very helpful in getting me a second night when my plans changed. The room was clean, and I love how close it was to the baseball stadium, we just walked over. Thank you again, and we will be back!

The hotel was wonderful. Lots of old charm and very classic. I came into town to go to a Reds game and this hotel was well within walking distance. Great views from my high floor . The TV was a little small in the room . They could for sure be bigger. It was like a 37 inch with the size of the room it should have been at least a 50 .

We had a really awesome stay, mainly because of the consistent professionalism, positive and proactive attitude, and great service from the staff. Pretty blown away by the staff…we were at a wedding in the hotel last night, too, and everyone was so sweet - one team member (didn’t catch her name) offered to take a picture for us so everyone could be in it. Over and beyond. I know the valet was slammed this morning. They were working so hard and were consistently pleasant. They mentioned that they were understaffed…not as an excuse, but as an apology. Really, just amazing service and very polite folks 😃 The only constructive feedback we have is on the bathroom. It needs more hooks for hanging things, a soap dish, a fan, and a door that’s easier/better to close for full privacy.

Outstanding service from the Valet parking staff to Front Desk and Housekeeping. The hotel is amazing and will highly recommend to all my friends and family. It's not inexpensive but well worth the price for how well you are treated! This is will become a favorite of mine! Thank you, Renaissance for making this an amazing weekend!

I will tell you some thing that travel agents do not want you to know about. When reserving places use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ They have the best deals on resorts! Much better than using expedia, tripadvisor, hotwire. No doubt about that!!! The Renaissance was beautiful. The staff was accommodating, and a Gentleman bt the name of Tate made sure that me and my family's stay was great.

Check in was very easy, loved the price for the room we got. It was my birthday and the staff had wine sent up to our room, so thoughtful! Room was clean, bedding was made nicely bathroom was lovely with the walk in glass shower. Bed was super comfortable!! Anytime we make a trip to the city this will be our spot to stay. Loved that the bar was open late and that we could order food and drinks, perfect late night snack and drinks.

This was such a great hotel and staff. We came up for baseball - perfect location. Easily walked to ballpark. The room was really clean and well maintained. The staff - all of them - were friendly and courteous and responsive. The girl checking us in offered suggestions for options for parking and dinner recommendations. When we needed extra towels, they were at our door in under 10 minutes and were smiling and friendly. All of the valet gentlemen were very professional and helpful… even though we didn’t valet our car. When leaving Kyle opened doors and helped us load our belongings. Such a great experience and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much!!!

Elite Marriott member who spends 100+ nights a year as a business and leisure traveler. The property and staff were all absolutely top notch. 5/5 recommend. The staff, location and property itself really makes this an exceptional place to stay! I want to mention and thank a couple staff members by name. First, a very big thank you to Sales Manager Timothy Perrine for helping us out! Also to Brittany and Front Office Supervisor Kyla Mayor deftly resolved an issue for us. We visited in early in early January for the Bengals MNF game. Although the hotel was swamped, checkin was a breeze, and staff happily brought us more toiletries, extra towels, etc. clean, spacious suite with 1.5 bathrooms. The bathroom was exceptional. Oversized soaking tub and separate shower. The tragic medical emergency at the Bengals game put the city in a somber mood. Staff and city handled it well! Thank your wonderful staff and we are very grateful. Kudos to the management for running this property so well!!! We will see you again!

We had a lovely time. The staff were wonderfully attentive. The room was very nice, but a little too much gray (the carpet, the furniture, the window treatments, and some of the walls) for my taste. Personally, I'll be very happy when that color scheme finally goes out of style.

  • 3/5 Julia M. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel itself was very nice, but I have to take off points for the valet. They lost my key, and I waited over an hour for my car. They got the cars of several people ahead of me and did not tell me what was going on, despite me asking multiple times, until I started to get noticeably frustrated. I understand mistakes happen, but I would be more forgiving in the response was more appropriate. I never received an apology for my inconvenience and when they finally got my car over an hour later, they didn’t say sorry or good night, nothing at all. The only helpful person in this was the security guard who told me my car was now parked outside, not the valet guy. If you stay at this hotel, just park your own car. It’s not worth the headache of using their valet.

While the location of the hotel was very great the hotel room itself was not as clean as it should have been upon arrival. While the bed was made, and fresh towels were in the unit it was apparent that the unit had not been cleaned beyond that. The glasses in the room were dirty, the floor likely needed to be vacuumed, etc.

Great location in the heart of downtown. We stayed here on Saturday night. Check in was very easy. The staff were professional and ready to assist. The room was clean and ready upon arrival. The hotel bar was very nice, staff was attentive, and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

The Renaissance Hotel was beyond beautiful, the staff was amazing, and working with their wedding coordinator (Danielle) was excellent! 10/10 - Would 100% recommend you have your wedding here. The planning process was so easy with the Renaissance. They were there to answer questions every step of the way, and they were able to offer up suggestions to make our planning process even better. The food was absolutely delicious! We had tons of rave reviews from our guest on the portion sizes of the meals and the quality of food. When we went in for our tasting, we were blown away by the flavors. You can’t make a wrong choice with the food options they have! We even had a farewell brunch with family and out of town guests the next day, and it was just as delicious. To add to just how amazing the service is at the hotel, my 90 year old grandmother wanted a scoop of ice cream for dessert at the wedding and a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast the next morning, and they did it without any hesitation or question. All around, the service at the Renaissance was above and beyond. We had a small snafu where I sent an item out for drycleaning Friday night that I needed the next morning, and apparently the local cleaner wouldn’t have it done until Monday. I still have no idea what happened, but the hotel got my item back from the dry cleaner while we were at the rehearsal dinner down the street. Crisis averted! I can’t rave enough about the experience with the Renaissance hotel. Between myself and my husband, our parents, and all of our guests, everyone was thrilled with the service and experience.

Good location. Desk staff very unobtrusive. Housekeeping can be scheduled, instead of automatic. River-facing rooms have good view. Room climate control works well. Great beds and pillows. Very little noise from hallway or adjacent rooms. Accessing elevator/stairs to nearest parking garage (US Bank/Westin garage) can be difficult when US Bank lobby is closed.

The room was cleaned well and the bed was comfortable, the fixtures were nice, they also allowed me to have late check out for 12 I stead of 11. I wanted to rate 4 stars but I had a terrible experience with the host when leaving and a cold welcome when arriving. There is no parking deck only valet for 42 dollars or you can park at the Winston for 21 but it is a major pain. The room had a view of a brick wall which to a degree is to be expected in the city and I would have overlooked all of this and thought of my experience as good if not for the bad communication with the host.
