Wonderful hotel! Valet was attentive and super helpful from the start and beginning, the lobby of the hotel is gorgeous and the front desk staff is super helpful. Cassie went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Dana at the bar made super tasty cocktails and was helpful with the menu and local flare. Rooms are updated, hotels in a great location with tons of fun things to do around the hotel. Highly recommend for your stay in Covington and for downtown Cincinnati.

This place is super special to us. We had our first date here and after many more visits, decided to have our wedding here. Our friends and family were blown away with the beauty of the hotel, lobby, lawn, ballroom and every amenity. We were treated like royalty and they made the day absolutely perfect. Food was delicious, rooms comfy and definitely the best staff!

Warning* if your not part of a wedding party, do not book. My Wife and I booked a room for our first night out without kids in 12 months and were very excited for a quiet night out without kids. However once we came back to the room the Wedding music was pulsing through our walls so loud if felt like were were in a nightclub. This went on for over 2 hours. we called the front desk and ask to switch rooms and they told us there was nothing they could do and said it will go on till 10pm. They did bring me up Advil for the headaches my wife and I were both starting to get. we had to watch the Movie with Captions on just to be able to follow/hear it. The next morning at check out the front desk was nice and said sorry and offer free coffee for the inconvenience, we declined at the moment trying to get out as soon as possible. I was told the hotel manager would call me to discuss this situation however we never heard back. For $400 a night, we should be able to enjoy the night and not just be push to the side because of a wedding or tell us before checking in what is going on and be prepare for this. who would of though staying at home with a 2 year old and 4 year old would of been more peaceful then a $400 4 star hotel. Very disappointed

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The amenities and the hotel staff are great. The restaurant hostess staff experience has not been so wonderful. I made a reservation, four weeks in advance, for brunch with my husband and daughter for Father’s Day; specifically requesting seating in the atrium. The reservation hostess confirmed. Today, the hostess placed us in the bar seating area which is in the hotel lobby. When making her aware our reservation was requested for the atrium she told us that area was first come first serve. Logically this reasoning made no sense as the purpose of a reservation is to not have to be first come first serve. When requesting to be seated in the atrium area as there were seats available and we were present, so “first come first serve”, she would not figure out a way to seat us in that area; however, we watched the other hostess seating several other people in the open seats in the atrium who came up as we were speaking with the hostess. Those people clearly stating they had no reservation. In viewing this, I requested to speak with the manager. In speaking with the manager, he confirmed there are no guarantees for reservations outdoors, but they do reserve the atrium and bar area. What is truly unfortunate, is at no time did he or the hostess just make a decision to seat us in the atrium in the available seating, but rather continued to state their reservations were not guaranteed. This experience has changed my perception of dining in this hotel. It seems there is no consideration for prioritizing preferences of their reservations over others. The restaurant staff were clearly unable to use logical discernment to make appropriate accommodations. It is unfortunate that it happened to my family on Father’s Day.

We had our wedding at Hotel Covington this past weekend and the staff was above and beyond amazing. They were quick, communicative and overall wonderful. They made us feel so special even with 7 other weddings taking place on the same day. The boutique hotel feel was so charming. The ceilings to our suite were SO high and made the room feel insanely spacious. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did big and small. I wish I could give them more stars than 5!

Place is very cool with a nice update on an old property. Bar is filled with local market spirits and beers. Food was good and seasonal menu to choose items. Plenty of tables to lounge at and do work on computer for the business person. Rooms are clean and very comfortable beds and linens. A definite good place to stay and visit.

I paid $259, $269 and $299, plus around $31 in tax (USA sure bolts on a lot of taxes) for 3 nights. I can’t give it a 4, 3 feels a bit low. 3.5 is about right from my experience. There is a cool feel to the place. Hotel has a great location, you can walk the city from here. Coppins restaurant is lovely with good service and atmosphere, the bar and drink creations are very good. For those with cars there is a parking deck next to the hotel. There is noise around the hotel, from the main road and from a restaurant opposite that pumps music into the street in the evening - utterly ridiculous anti-social behaviour. The first room was lovely, yet it was noisy, a connecting door meant I could hear a normal conversation next door. I was moved to a loft room ($100 more if paying for the upgrade) and it was very quiet. This room has a spiral staircase between bathroom and bed. Took nearly 1.5 hours to get all sorted. The hotel is 4 star, yet it has no laundry service so I was hand washing in the sink. The TV streaming was glitchy. The internet was fast. The bed was comfortable, though sockets and USBs were awkward to get to and not that many. The bathroom had style, shower was hot and good pressure. Controls were behind the door so not ergonomic to start. No heated towel rail to dry towels. At sub $200 with tax a night it would be great, at over $300 it feels poorer value and the gamble on getting a quiet room is a risk too much for my travel.

This experience is the reason people book hotels. Our Christmas Day stay was everything we could have asked for and more. The room was spacious and the additional touches, like the in-room Nespresso machine, velvet curtains, cozy robe and locally curated drinks and snacks made the experience feel so luxurious. The bed was insanely comfortable, the room was clean, playing Christmas music upon our arrival, the lobby decorated beautifully and the staff, courteous and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Honestly overall had a wonderful stay. The restaurant is great. Valet was so nice! Rooms were excellent! But for some reason, the front desk person checked me out a day early. This became a thing for 2 days. I was in town for work and had to leave meetings to deal with my stuff still being in the room. Then I went down for breakfast the next day and they deactivated my key. Everyone was nice but it was a pain for me and confusing for any one who had to deal with it after. I'm sure this was only a me issue, but if you get an email about checking out the day before, you will be going back and forth a bit 😂

Wow! Great experience from start to finish. Every little detail was beautiful and high quality and exceptionally clean! Restaurant was excellent and gave us a delicious dinner even though we got in last minute. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return!

I just wanted to give feedback of my experience this past Saturday. My sister mollie was getting married and I didn’t realize how long of a day it was going to be so last minute I decided to book a room. A young lady was helping me at the front desk and I asked her which rooms were available. She told me she could give me a 2 bedroom at $400 a night I said great I’ll take that. I ran to my sisters room to get my purse and came back down to book. She quickly booked the room and gave me a key and walked away from the desk. I looked at the key which said 3333 and I assumed I was just going to the elevators behind me to the third floor. When we got upstairs we searched the entire floor for room 3333 and it couldn’t be found. With kids and all of our luggage in gowns we made our way back to the busy front desk. The gentleman there said we weren’t even in the right building ! That would have been nice to know! We finally get to the room which was not the easiest to find, and it was very nice a little too big but nice.we had a great stay but then I checked my bank account and I was charged over $500 for the room when she told me it would be $400. I didn’t get her name because she was in such a rush and only muttered a few words to me during the whole process. I work in management in the hospitality industry and would want this feedback of one of my employees. Thank you.

Room smells like cigarette smoke: editing review. The staff made up for the smell in the room. Eventually you just got used to it but the front desk and valet staff were amazing

This is a very special boutique hotel. They did an excellent job modernizing a very cool building. High end amenities and great restaurant and bar. All the staff is friendly and is very hospitable. I also like that the hotel is very cutting edge with their technology and there are little extras hidden everywhere. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing rooms - friendly staff. Beautiful lobby. My room was beautiful - with high ceilings, cool decor touches, a comfortable bed and great bathroom. Just a fantastic experience.

Nice hotel. It is a really cool, unique place. I was very satisfied with my room. The restaurant on the first floor appeared to be very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. You do have to pay to park there in the garage next to it. It was $12 for 24 hours. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing staff and impeccable service room was pristine and cozy! I was here for a wedding for Carrie and Kevin! Fun music, yummy food, and seeing everyone again, like my uncle Tommy, he lives in Texas and I live in Cincinnati. And when I was in the room, I was playing with the magic 8 ball until I fell asleep. We loved spending the night at this hotel! 5-star

I’ve stayed here 5 times now, and each time I’m extremely satisfied, and never find anything to complain about. From valet, to room service, mini bar, restaurant, and the small town vibe… it couldn’t be more perfect. Always a pleasure to stay, and the staff are always helpful, and cheerful. Please keep things just the way they are! Your hotel renewed my trust that true hospitality still exists! Chef Michael-

What a great stay. The room were nice and clean. Asked for new sheets due to a smell. They had them replaced quickly. The staff was so nice and friendly. One staff member needs a shot out to. Ron the valet/baggage claim/driver was over the top amazing. Ron took us to different places in the city every time. Ron is the type of employee all companies need. Ron thank you being a nice friendly person. He is like family !!! We will be back and Ron best be there !!

Went for a three day weekend to catch a Bengals game in Cincinnati. This hotel was everything I could have asked for. Great room. Great amenities. And a great staff that went out of their way to make sure my and my family’s needs were met. Would definitely stay there again.

My Husband and I had our wedding here on Memorial Day weekend and we loved it! What I want to acknowledge is Hotel Covington’s excellent customer service. I had a very unfortunate experience where one of their housekeeping staff stole my purse and my AirPods from our room during our stay. We were able to give Management an address due to the AirPods location and the Hotel Covington Staff did a thorough investigation to find the person and dealt with it accordingly. They notified me of the status of the investigation and also offered to reimburse me for the items that were stolen. Not only did they reimburse me, but the house keeper who stole my items returned them to management upon being exposed and they sent them back to me along with the reimbursement check. I spoke directly with David, Joyce, and Justin the General Manager, and each one of them were very kind, sincere, and helpful. I am extremely appreciative of the way that they handled the situation. They assured me that they would be taking the necessary steps to ensure that something like this wouldn’t happen again. Even with that experience, I 100% recommend having your wedding or any event here! The customer service was amazing and we had a beautiful wedding! The rooms are also very cozy and relaxing. We will definitely be returning!

Attended a wedding reception there last night in there. It was a wonderful celebration but the multiple beams in the room made it hard to see when the wedding party made their entrance and when they spoke to the crowd. Very nice place though and an outstanding celebration.

I have had the worst experience with this hotel. My friends and I booked for the weekend and I left my Walter in the car and the vallet took it. My card was then charged $250 twice totaling $500 dollars and all they did was write an incident report and have yet to contact me. The same night I stayed there was when it happened and I have yet to hear from anyone. I sent my bank statement to the supervisors. When I reported my card being charged twice a boy in the back seemed extremely nervous and started texting right away. They said they have cameras and didn’t look into it. I have never had this happen to me in any other hotel. Do not book your stay here, they don’t care, especially if you are what is considered a minority. Since I’m Hispanic they obviously don’t care enough to even communicate that they even received my email and are linking into it. Zero communication. The worst.

I was staying at the hotel for a work conference that had numerous rooms block off for the stay. The hotel as whole was nice not to mention the valet staff was very informative. I did not give my credit card for incidentals because it was a work conference stay and I don’t use anything form the hotel room private bar, a week after my stay, I received a message from my company travel director, that there were charges from my room. I seen the charges were for a chocolate bar, Intimacy Kit, and Orange Juice. The issue I have with this is that I find out more people were charged for items that they did not use. After a few minutes researching the reviews, this has happened to many people over the years that stayed in the hotel. When I contacted the hotel to dispute the charges to my room, the Reservation person Casandra took the charges of the bill with no questions asked. I feel that there is an integrity issue or just no professionalize from certain staff, including the reservation person that I talk to about these charges. I’m sure this message will not matter to anyone, but my advice is if you stay at this hotel, make the staff accompany you to your room to do an inventory of the items in your room. Take pictures and make a list because there is no telling how many times that they charge someone for items they didn’t use.

Hotel was very nice, clean and perfect for wedding weekend, but the STAFF was absolutely amazing. Every need anticipated, questions answered politely and professionally, easy to find if needed. Front desk staff was great, especially Cassandra! Rehearsal dinner held here also, and banquet leader, Zach was outstanding. Cannot tell you how pleased we were with everything!

Loved the hotel, but stepping into the lobby, you were hit by the smell of cigarette smoke. (The rooms did not smell smoky, though.) I know you can smoke in bars and restaurants in KY still, but it is a bummer when you aren't used to it. Otherwise, loved the hotel and service.

I never leave reviews but had such a wonderful experience here that I thought I would share. From check in to check out everyone was super helpful. The hotel is so cute and the rooms even better. I loved the stocked mini bar with snacks and drinks. The hotel is clean and modern with friendly staff and a great location. Would highly recommend.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and to get some work done while my car was getting worked on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, and the OJ was fresh squeezed. I will be back for a staycation based on my experience in the restaurant.

I spent one night at here on my way to Wisconsin from driving from North Carolina. The room was beautiful and very clean, service was immaculate. The front desk was able to accommodate me for anything I needed during my stay here. The dinning area was a great experience, the bartender was very knowledge about drinks and was willing to teach me about the whisky the hotel had(I recommend trying). I will be back here definitely if I am in the Cincinnati area again.

We recently went to Hotel Covington for a friend's wedding. We had to leave after only being there for about 4 hours due to a family emergency. We asked about a reduced rate and the front desk guy said he would take care of it. We were surprised and grateful that the entire charge was refunded on our credit card. Outstanding customer service.

Nice classical hotel, but slightly missing the mark of expectations based on their marketing. Reserved the knowledge suite, but it seemed this was more of a couples suite. Nice bar downstairs, despite having to wait almost 20 minutes due to a rather drunk group of self entitled and obnoxious hotel guests. Staff was polite, based on the interactions being limited to checking in and out. Overall good, not great, and certainly not worth the price point.

Cool place to stay. Staff was friendly. Much older building but has decent updates. Valet was nice but attendant not always available. Nice treats in the room. Room was clean. Bed and pillows not the best. Bathroom/Shower was nice. Not perfect so no 5 star but I’m going to say just sub 5. Lots to do nearby. Covington is a hidden gem.

The staff was extremely friendly from the front desk, to the coffee shop, the bar and especially the valet team. Everything we needed was addressed. I wished there was an ice machine but with the restoration of the property I totally get why there was not. Beautiful inside as well! Plus rides to and from Bengals games!

Beautiful, modern accommodations with excellent amenities. Room service is top notch and the bar/restaurant make this a perfect retreat or, in our case, one stop layover on the way home. Bar boasts an exemplary bourbon-list. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed at the hotel while some renovations were being done on our apartment. It was nice but given the price and expectations, I was hoping for a bit more. The room itself was very dusty, so much that you could see dust particles in the air. The ac and heat didn't seem to work properly because the room was either very cold or extremely hot. The air totally quit working the day of checkout and was 76 degrees upon leaving. Even though the thermostat was set to cool, it just kept getting hotter in the room. Drapery, lamps, plugs, and under the bed were extremely dusty, like they hadn't been cleaned in some time. My cat even went under the bed and came out covered in dust bunnies! There was a yellow substance dripping down the walls in the bathroom, like they needed a good cleaning. Dirty splotches and fingerprints on the bathroom door. Floors were very clean though, as were bedding and towels. Bed was comfy and customer service was good. The staff went above and beyond to check us in early as renovations started sooner than expected in the morning. It wasn't a horrible experience, just thought it would be a bit better. Overall 3.5 stars only for cleanliness issues and problems with the thermostat and temperature of room.

This hotel is gorgeous! I've heard many people say that this is the place to spend a getaway night with you SO. I'm so glad we did! Stayed here last night for our anniversary and we had a cute little snack tray with hand written notes from the staff. We also had the girls night is package which was delicious! A gentleman from the front desk came up to our room and helped us get our casting service set up. The restaurant downstairs is also delicious and the hotel is really close to fun parts of Covington and walking distance to the Roebling bridge.

I’d give it zero stars if that was a choice, I reserved a room Friday evening for my cousins daughter who was getting married there Saturday and having her reception there as well, traffic on i65 Saturday was at a standstill from my Chicago commute , I would’ve missed the wedding and half the reception so after several hours on the road I gave up and called the hotel and said I unfortunately cannot make it due to traffic and cancel my reservation, there policy is to charge you for the room and then some within 72 hours even though I had reserved it 12 hours earlier and had probably dozens of family members staying there and they had told me they were at 92 percent capacity the night before. Cassandra was none too helpful and short to the point, great way of doing business, enjoy my hard earned money for nothing

As someone that lives out of a suitcase and travels around the US, this hotel far surpassed my expectations . Every single staff member I had the chance to interact with just went over and beyond! Upon check in the two ladies at the front desk were so kind and even helped accommodate me with an early check in so I could relax after a long day of driving. The rooms are amazing. The bed is super comfortable and it’s hard to beat the location. I’ve never been someone to leave a review but felt obligated after such an awesome stay. Hotel Covington and staff are truly the gold standard for hospitality and any time I’m in the area I’ll be staying here. I didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant but did get a chance to have some amazing cocktails from an incredibly knowledgeable bar staff. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!
