Love this place! Everyone here is always so kind and helpful. The hot chai tea latte is what I usually get, it’s amazing. Tastes like a holiday. My boyfriend had the caramel iced coffee and loved it. But the real star of the show is their Vegan Chai muffin. I AM TELLING YOU, this muffin is undefeated. Try it. You won’t be sorry. Very cool atmosphere. Great place to go to hang out and get a drink. I believe they sometimes have live music. Highly recommend!

UPDATE: I visited a lot over the past year that I first left the review. Trying to cut back and hadn't been for a while. Saw some new faces and they were still extremely pleasant! The fact that they come around the counter and bring you your coffee, even if you're taking out is top notch service imo. Pics are the swirl latte cold brew 😍 The ladies here are amazing!! They are always so sweet, and work so hard. Love this place! I've had several things from the menu, and they were all great!

Cool, cozy, inviting spot with quality coffee and excellent service. Enjoyed the vibe where patrons were engaging each other in conversation or chess versus staring at laptops as is most common today where coffee shops serve as mere study halls.

I love that my Barista personalized a caramel and vanilla late for me. It was one of the best cups of ☕ coffee I've ever had. This place is artsy and cozy!

Great vibes and beautiful decor. Nice small selection of books to read. They do need more than one person making lattes on Weekend morning though.

Will never come back. We came in for coffee and the girl behind the counter didn’t acknowledge us as we were the only 2 customers. She was too busy talking to a boy in a winter jacket sitting on top of the counter yelling at him to go get her cellphone from the table. After a few minutes she looked at us and said I can’t make anything with espresso and says nothing else. We left. We were never greeted, this employee was so disrespectful and there was absolutely no service.

Great chill vibe, very local, and survived Covid. Made a great flat white with some basic instructions.

I had a great experience here - heading back to the DC-Metro area after a local staff retreat, I stopped here with a colleague before my flight. The service has been attentive and kind. I received a free iced latte since an order got mixed, which was fine by me! The croissant was good for me because it wasn't greasy and overly butter. Really nice spot to plug in and get work done in a comfortable environment. Thanks for being accommodating!

If the reason this place has a 4.9 is for the coffee and food, I completely agree. However, the service was mediocre at best. I felt like more of an inconvenience than a customer. This is my first time here and I was looking forward to trying a new coffee spot that had a 4.9 star review! Maybe it was just a bad day for the workers. The coffee was great and still worth the trip despite the poor customer service experience.

I stopped in for a coffee and light lunch while walking on my lunch break. Highly recommend the swirl latte. This time I had it as iced coffee. I also tried the Turkey quiche with a croissant as a sandwich, based on employee recommendation. Amazing! I only wish I had gotten her name and took photos of my food and drink. Thank you for the great service and delicious food and coffee!

I can't wait to return and bring friends with me! There was a line when I arrived, and the cashier moved at a good pace. He was friendly and efficient. The Swirl Latte was well worth it! The right amount of sweetness for a drink that has caramel and dark chocolate and paired well with almond milk. I also bought a turkey quiche, which was delicious, with the right amount of flavor to please anyone! The environment they cultivated is delightful. I enjoy seeing local businesses support others. I bought "Free" by Lucille Banks and read while I was waiting for my order. There are also flyers for local events in several areas and artwork from local artists available for purchase and perfectly tied into the shops atmosphere. Seating is available and inviting, adding to the welcoming atmosphere the coffee shop aims for. I can't wait to visit again and see this place grow!

It was one of my first times walking around downtown Cincy and I stumbled across blaCk Coffee Lounge with my best friend. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is so sweet! They took the time to check on us after ordering and a worker also complimented my friends shoes which made her day :) I will definitely be visiting again!

I don’t think it’s too bold to say that blaCk Coffee Lounge is a cultural hub in Cincinnati! Highly recommend skipping Starbucks and checking this place out instead for a great latte, chill ambiance, and a sense of community.

Really nice and cool coffee place. Loved the atmosphere and friendly service. I’m not a big fan of blends for drip coffee, but their coffee was a pleasant surprise. Smooth, good body and tasty (enjoy with no milk or sugar!).

Needed a chill place with large windows to do some reading, research & reflection! And it was the best place to be. Enjoyed a hot green tea with a vegan muffin & too one of "Gail's " lemon bars to go.

Such a gem. Stopped while in town for the weekend and will be back. Staff are friendly and kind. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect place to chill, work or read. Good seating options and love all the windows. I got their seasonal drink — peppermint mocha? Iced, and I’m glad I did. So sweet and good, but not over the top.

Cozy and welcoming. Had their cappuccino and, later the same day, another at a different, well-known local and independent shop. I thought blaCk Coffee lounge's was smoother and tastier. And a small but nice selection of pastries available as well.
