I got my wedding cake from The BonBonerie and am so happy I did. It was amazing and Allison came to the wedding and put the flowers on the cake so beautifully. She was awesome! We got the citrus moon cake (if you’re not a citrus person, still try it! It will surprise you!) and the chocolate latte cake. Both were incredible! Their treats are also delicious and I love going in to see what new items they have. The staff is always so friendly!

This place is amazing! I got the opera cream cake which was delicious and had a lot of flavors and very filling. The mini key lime pie was delicious, and I loved the crust. The blondie and lemon bars were both really good, and the pink lemonade was also tasty. The lady was also really nice.

We picked The BonBonerie for our wedding cake and Leah and Allison we a dream to work with! They made choosing our cake flavors and design so easy! They were so quick to answer all of our questions, were so helpful and worked so hard to make our cake exactly what we wanted for our wedding! We could not have been happier with the BonBonerie!

No better place to get a birthday cake. I ordered my cake a few days prior and they had it ready to go with a happy birthday message! The lemon blueberry was a hit for this lemon lover. I also got some thumb cookies and a few other treats at the bakery. So good.

Amazing cake and pastries. We got the opera cream cake which was to die for, even my grandmother who does not like chocolate ate two pieces of this cake! The cinnamon roll we got was soft and tasty as well. Friendly service and they do have cakes already made which was a lifesaver! We will be back for more!

This is the best wedding cake (and let's be real any dessert) you can get in Cincinnati hands down! We used BonBonerie for our wedding and boy was that cake delicious. Their wonderful staff sat down with us one on one and talked through the various designs, flavors, and inspiration we had in mind for our cake (of course while trying the flavors:). The end product was truly magnificent between the taste and the presentation! Might I recommend the opera cream and pistachio-so yummy and moist. Our guests really loved the cake too and had such wonderful things to say about it. BonBonerie will even give you a coupon for a free top layer on your one year anniversary so you can enjoy your wedding cake again fresh! This bakery took great care of us and for that I cannot recommend them enough for your next wedding or event!

I’ve had and ordered quite a few cakes that were good and it’s been years, but I ordered the Bumbleberry for my daughters birthday and it just wasn’t good due to cake tasting gritty and a bit on the dry side. Everyone kept saying “it taste gritty.” Birthday cake disappointed and a waste of $56. Looked better than it tasted.

This was such a cute shop! I’m new to Cincinnati and came to the BonBonnerie because it was listed in the “100 things to do in Cincinnati before you die” book. The process is a bit confusing so learn from my mistakes: there is parking around the back of the store so that you don’t have to pay for street parking. Just after the shop, turn left onto the oneway street, and the parking lot is on the left. There are 3 sections to the BonBonnerie; there is the bakery, the café, and the tea room. If you just want to get sweets and head out, you’re looking for a whole cake/sweets order, or if you want a wider selection of sweets, go to the bakery first and see what’s there before going to the cafe or tea room. Next, go down the steps to the right of the bakery to get to the café and tea room. It can feel a bit maze-like as if you’re somewhere you shouldn’t be, but follow the stickers on the floor and signs and you’ll be fine. The café is where you can order most classic coffee drinks and a selection of the most popular sweets. I ordered a small cappuccino and a chocolate caramel cupcake. The cappuccino was a little burnt-tasting and had a bit too much foam (i’m truly sorry, i sound like such a coffee snob, but i don’t want to just be like “it wasn’t very good” without actually describing what I mean), but it wasn’t terrible either. I think if I were just getting coffee I would have been more disappointed, but obviously the point is to get a bonbon. If you’re dining in, your coffee will be served in a tea cup. Being served in a tea cup is *super* cute, but I would say on the coffee, even if you’re dining in, order it to go and then sit, because they served the small coffee in a tea cup, which seamed that the amount of coffee is somewhere between 8-10 oz, as opposed to a US standard 12 oz for a small and 16 oz for a regular. Finally, get the Opera Torte (either cake or cupcake). It’s their specialty, and deserves a try. I didnt realize that before I ordered what I did (which was totally my bad, since it was posted everywhere), but i’ll definitely be back with my partner to try it because overall, it was *super* cute and their cupcake was amazing—even just out of the freezer, the icing was still sort enough to bite into. Highly recommend!!!

It was my 1st tea party. I was not disappointed. The tea sandwiches and sweet treats were amazing. Not only delicious but appealing to the eye. The teas were aromatic and tasteful. Highly recommend. I will be back.

If you’re looking for a place to host a shower, I can’t recommend The Bonbonerie more highly. My daughter and I hosted an afternoon tea baby shower for my godson’s wife and it was absolutely perfect. The staff is wonderful, and of course the food so delicious 😋.

Bonbonerie is one of my happy places in Cincinnati! They have the most wonderful pastries, the cutest seasonal cookies, wonderful tea, and nice lunch. I’ve celebrated my birthday now 2 times here, and the service has always been wonderful. They have a great collection of cakes by the slice or whole as well as a ton of other treats. Their tea selection is extensive too. Their crème brûlée and their chocolate mousse are my favorite desserts of theirs, and their white chicken chili is so amazing when they have it! Such a cute shop, with a little garden, and a bakery out back. I always look forward to my visits :)

Absolutely love the atmosphere!!! Every employee was so pleasant as well. The pastries are to die for lol I highly recommend the three tier pastry tower with a tea kettle. Go with an empty stomach lol

Such a wonderful shop with a wide variety of pastries and other baked goods. All the staff were very friendly, you could see the bakers in the back at work too which was interesting to see them decorating as well. You can tell each is made with precision and passion. The chocolate is rich and flavorful it was one of my favorites, along side the lemon bar and the poppyseed cookies. From the packaging, to the intricate details in the desserts all of it is beautiful.

Preordered a lovely cake to celebrate my moms 60th this past February! It was so nice going into the store and having the staff help me decide on the flavor and size I needed. They even offered me samples of the flavors I think my mom would enjoy best and boxed up the leftovers for me to take home after ordering🤍 I was able to pay ahead and make note that someone else would be picking up the cake for the weekend and it was no problem. They just made note on my order form! We went with the raspberry romance and she loved it!! Would recommend them for social occasions where a cake is needed💞

The absolute cutest place! Had such a good time with some girlfriends grabbing an afternoon tea. I will 100% be coming back and bringing out of town guests because this is such a fun activity!

I really enjoy going to the bonbonerie for lunch, and have even hosted a baby shower in their private room. Don't bother to ask how many times I've stopped in to pick up pastries and cakes. The food is always delicious, I absolutely can't leave without the carrot cake. As of right now, there doesn't appear to be enough people working the tables, and in terms of atmosphere, it's super cute, but loud. The walls also need a wipe down, where we were seated, we noticed splashed tea or coffee all down the wall.

We are so happy we chose BonBonerie for the necessary guidance in the process of choosing our wedding cake. We were so indecisive about cake vs pastries vs both and we’re happy to have chosen the cake that we did. All of our guests enjoyed it and we’re excited to be able to have a bite from our leftovers in the freezer every week. It’s definitely still delicious 3 months later! Thanks to the bakery magicians and all the staff!

The best quiches and the most beautiful decorated cakes with superb customer service! I order a Bengals cake for a Super Bowl gathering and it was not created as I has preordered. They corrected the situation by sending me home with a beautifully decorated alternative! I will keep coming back! 😋🍰

Cute little coffee shop! Took my mom in law and my 2 girls for an afternoon tea and they had a blast. Im not usually a tea drinker but i came here for the experience and it was fun! ! The tea selection was huge and they were delicious! Even my 6 yo gurl loved their blueberry infused tea! The pastries and the cookies that they served were absolutely delicious. I gave it a four just because i find it kinda expensive and the sandwiches they served were pb and j for the kids! I mean for a price of 30$ each kid i could have made it myself. Ive been to a different tea place and the sandwiches at the other place was better. Overall experience was good (just because it was my kids’ 1st time and i enjoyed spending it w them) but will i come back here!? I would go check out the other places 1st before coming back here!

Charming bakery!! Female owned bakery for 39 years. My sister hosted a Bridgerton themed birthday for me and got ALL of our goodies from this bakery! Tea sandwiches, scones, cookies, and cake. So Delicious!! As for presentation, the ladies of Bridgerton would swoon that's how pretty everything was!! This bakery is lovely and the food is so So Good!! Seriously, their Opera Cream Cake is *chefs kiss* divine. People from other states, have been known to make the drive for this cake. Also, their Whoopie Pies will make you starry eyed. The owners are lovely and their bakery will go down in Cincinnati history as Legends!!

Was told they don’t do custom cakes in December at all-after I checked their site that said get custom cake orders in early. Kinda not as mad about that given the lack of cleanliness of the staff handling the cakes. A life long customer no more. **EDIT maybe you didn’t read my review carefully enough so let me be more clear-your website says you DO in December, you should fix that. It makes sense that you choose to prioritize other things this month, but why tell people you do? Is it to have people come in and hope they just buy something else?

The Bonbonnerie did a FABULOUS wedding cake from the tasting session to co-ordinating fresh flowers for our wedding cake and delivering it to the reception venue. I ordered the delicious lemon cake with raspberry filling for the lowermost tier, a surprise carrot cake for the upper tiers for my husband who absolutely LOVES their carrot cake. We had a semi-naked frosting finish since we both do not care for frosting. We also ordered mini chocolate cupcakes, so every one of our guests would be able to try three different flavours of cake if they so desired—there was not a slice left over! We of course have the top layer which may not survive till our anniversary. I love every cake I have ever had from the Bonbonnerie and will continue to enjoy this Cincinnati treasure.
