I could not ask for a better board game and ttrpg store. Dominic (the owner) is so open to ideas. He can tell you anything about all of the games he sells and rents. Which is absolutely amazing because there are SO many, I have no clue how he keeps it all straight! The Lair (ttrpg room) that you can rent has everything you need to just walk in and start playing! (From what I hear, soon you won’t even need your own DM!) James - the Merchandise Manager is very friendly and if he doesn’t know how to play a game, he will learn right then and there! If they’re not too busy that is. I stopped by this past week Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Every single day I got to interact with every person working. Even when the store was SO packed you had to look in every direction before you took a step. The cafe has delicious REAL espresso. The cafe manager (I forget her name, I’m so sorry!) is so sweet! And she seems to really enjoy her job. She makes phenomenal coffee. When the games are going and people around your are laughing and having a good time, you can often look up to see her smiling and laughing along with them.

Great place and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Plenty of room to setup for gaming even large board games and space to accommodate large groups as we had (9) when we went in. Nice food selection from local businesses (which is a big plus IMO because support local!) coffee is good and fresh. Good growing selection of games to both rent and purchase. The layout is friendly for movement for all. I look forward to many more boardgame nights at The Boardroom.

My family and I checked out The Board Room last week. We anticipated only being there a couple of hours, but before we realized 7 hours passed by. A great atmosphere to try games before buying, amazing game selections, great coffee selections, and excellent food options from local vendors. I recommend this place for all ages.

It is a Nice place to Play and purchase board games, and also the accessories that you may need or like. The Owner knows his stuff and the employees do too. I recommend The Board Room even if you just want to have a nice hot beverage.

My wife and I went today and checked out The Board Room. We were thrilled to discover all the variety of games available, from puzzles to board games and even roleplaying games. We reviewed most of their products and I was very surprised by the quantity and quality onsite. We will be returning to fill our gaming needs from this location. Finally meeting Dominique (the owner) was spot on making sure to meet and shake hands with his patrons. I was also impressed, when I showed interest in certain map box sets, he had some open and set aside, so patrons can see the product they are buying. I highly recommend The Board Room. Great selection of games to buy with a few games cleverly set up on display to show off the components. There's a good mix of local talent/artists' work represented for sale. The baristas at the coffee bar are quite talented and make delicious drinks. And the local play library is pretty robust. My wife and I enjoyed a lovely date night here playing a game from the library and got 2 drinks. Lastly the owner and staff are personable, friendly, and highly knowledgeable on the various games/items at the shop. South Tyler has desperately needed The Board Room for far too long!

Loved getting to meet the owner, see the new cozy space, and look at everything they have to offer. This is going to be an amazing place for all kinds of gamers in Tyler! Ownership is amazing!

The customer service was phenomenal! Great fit for gamers of all ages and skill levels! Haven't tried the Cafe yet, but certainly will be back!
