Best steak I've had in a long time. Good service and good valet. Nice looking place as well. Seen this place when I was a kid at 15 years old. Imagine fancy people to eat there. I am 55 years old and decided to eat there on my birthday. Great decision.

Pretty good experience. They were busy. Lucky to be able to just walk in and get a table immediately! Steak was good. One of those kinds that isn't heavily seasoned but rely on the flavor of the meat itself. The bone in ribeye was quality and cooked to melt in your mouth. Others liked thier steaks as well. We enjoyed it all except the horseradish potatoes were served cold to one person in the group. Nice server.

We were here for lunch and it’s our first time trying this steak restaurant and it was so good. All their steaks are cooked in charcoal and i love it so much. I had French fries with my steak and that was okay since I’m not a potato fan. Salad is perfect portion and the rolls are good too. I would highly recommend this place!

The steak is absolutely delicious. And huge! We ordered a T bone and shared between the two of us and it was more than enough. Added a side of asparagus which was also delicious. Service was good. They did everything for us dairy free based on our dietary requirements as well. Perfect.

First time here. Had pleasant experience. Husband liked his chicken fried steak. My filet was cooked perfectly as requested. Add on shrimps were flavorful. While we'd love to explore other steakhouse options within the Stockyards, Cattlemen was definitely a great restaurant to revisit. Highly recommend.

We ordered Kansas City strip steaks. Unfortunately my wife's steak was over cooked. I told the waitress by pointing to the cut up steak it is over cooked. Without question she took steak by to the cook and showed him the steak. He immediately put a new steak on the open flamed pit which I can see from my table. Wow the steaks were very tender, juicy and were just unbelievable flavorful. I highly recommend this steak house.

First time visiting and really enjoyed it! Location is a little dated and it seemed under construction, but don’t let it fool you! I personally tried the grilled Chicken, and subbed my side for broccoli. It was cooked perfectly! Our server was wonderful, professional, and knowledgeable. Prices were decent. Average price for a steak was 55 and other plates were 20+. As you can see we had a large group and they treated us with so much patience. I can see why my brother really recommended this place! I hope to visit again when I’m back in TX!

Great options to choose from on lunch menu. I ordered the 10 oz Ribeye with the loaded baked potato soup and macaroni & cheese. Everything came out delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly to my desired temperature and seasoned well. Tender and flavorful. The macaroni and cheese was a little "soupy" for my liking but I liked the sharp cheddar taste. Would recommend going will in the Stockyard area.

The location in Fort Worth is excellent and the history runs deep at this restaurant. The atmosphere is dated, but we loved it and the steak and chicken was delicious! The condiment server that came with the baked potato was nice bonus. We had our service animal with us and no one made us feel uncomfortable. She just sat in the corner out of the way.

We went for dinner around 8:30 on Saturday night during Labor Day weekend. Surprisingly, we were greeted and seated immediately in a very busy restaurant. The table service was prompt, professional and attentive. The 11oz ribeye steak was to die for!! Perfectly cooked to medium and seasoned exquisitely. No need for any sauce for sure. The house salad was fresh and crisp with a delicious house dressing. The potato was huge! More than enough for two people with options for cheese, bacon, and chives served table side. My husband and I shared the 11oz steak and potato and both had a side salad and couldn’t finish the one meal between us. 10/10 recommend for an amazing steak!

I went to this place on a Sunday afternoon when the Stockyards were quite crowded. We initially stopped at this other higher rated BBQ place but the wait was too long. So we came in here instead being that it wasn't really crowded. My initial thoughts were quite positive. It had kind of an old wild west cowboy atmosphere, much like the theme throughout the Stockyards. We ordered a small serving of ribs and then ordered chicken wings. I liked them but didn't love them. It all tasted good and was decent quality but the flavor kind of lacked any type of boldness. Looking back, I wish I tried the steak instead. That being said, the prices were pretty high. They weren't outrageous, but we probably could have spent just a tiny bit more at another nearby place and have gotten better ribs and wings. Overall, I had a really positive experience at this place. It has a terrific atmosphere and everything that I ordered tasted pretty good. And even though I had a higher expectation for the ribs and wings, Cattlemen's is certainly a terrific option if ever at the Stockyards.

We took my step-son for his birthday dinner. Everything was good the steaks are always so tender. They get medium rare. They waitress was awesome we never had to ask for refills she was always on top of it and and very friendly. The chef was great he knew how to make everything tasty and juicy. We recommend this place.

Very solid steakhouse located in the Stockyards. Waiter was very nice. They have a good selection of wines and mixed drinks at reasonable prices. The filet mignon I got was great. Had a nice char and full of flavor. My wife's bone in rib eye was also excellent. Great value as well as each steak comes with a salad and potatoes.

It was very good. Service was great. Price was well .....not cheap. I did think the salad could have been a little more. Maybe cheese 🧀 and tomato 🍅 and bacon 🥓 bits. Baked potato was good. Loved all the toppings. Steak was cooked pretty close to how I ordered.

Not sure why the bad reviews. If youre thinking about going, go! We were not disappointed. We ordered the new york strip with a potato and salad and the whole meal was flavorful and delicious!! The steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was amazing, atmosphere chill and they even gave us dessert for our anniversary. 10/10!!

Excellent food & service. We began with hot rolls! Incredibly light & fluffy yeast rolls! Amazing!! We got the 16 oz. 28-day aged New York strip with a baked potato (large) and spilt it between the two of us. We each had a house salad. I had ranch dressing. Hubby ordered thousand island. Incredible flavor! I recommend making reservations in advance or check in as a walk-in guest well in advance of your desired dining time. They're busy!

We stopped in for dinner and ate in the bar. The atmosphere is incredible, and the stake was very tasty. Unfortunately, the server was busy and forgot a couple of things, and I didn't check in to ask. I only add this info for constructive feedback. We will definitely be back.

Good 👍 but it was along wait to get seated ! The drinks were as expected and the food was reasonable in price.. I expected however extraordinary not ok! My steak 🥩 came out medium when I had asked for medium rare… so that was the reason for one star ⭐️ less.

The restaurant is quaint and delivers at your expectations for the price. They were a bit understaffed but made up for it in server personality. Grill man was a little peeved that I asked him to sear out to the “medium” I asked for, but was otherwise a delicious steak.

This was a casual establishment. Average, this the 3 stars on atmosphere. Service was great, everyone was nice and courteous. My husband ordered a 14oz steak. He really enjoyed it. I had a bite, it was very tender. I didn't really like the sauce that came with the steak. I ordered the chicken salad with fried chicken. The salad was large. It had secret butterchip pickles on the bottom. That was a pleasant surprise. The chicken itself was bland to me. I had ranch dressing and it did a great job of adding flavor to the chicken. The best part were the rolls. They were made in-house. They were so soft and delicious. I had to hold back so that I could have room for my meal. I would recommend this restaurant. My husband wants to go back tomorrow for the T-bone.

I’ve always seen this place and I figured it’s my bday so why not. As historic as it is the prices are crazy high. Two beers, CFS and signature cattlemen’s porterhouse steak wasn’t worth the $180 price tag. The wings were ok but they were lukewarm and the same for the steak. I had more fat than the actual meat but it was tender. The seasoning was pretty heavy and very salty. Would I come back? Sure i wanna try their T bone steak. My biggest complaint was the salad it was served warm so not sure what kind of service that was but I wasn’t digging warm salad. I would say the happiest part was the server knew it was my birthday and she brought me a peach cobbler with two scoops of ice cream.

Great steakhouse in Fort Worth. Make sure to have a reservation. Great old western vibes inside. We ordered the Ribeye and KC strip. Both were excellent. The baked potato that comes with the meals are huge and make sure you like them heavily seasoned. The topping stand that comes with it is a nice touch. The rolls that they start you with are excellent. Will be back on my next trip to the area.

My son and I enjoyed a couple of steaks here -- top flight experience.  I saw a pic of a tomahawk chop in one of the reviews but did not see it on the menu.  Asked the waitress if they offered it and they said they did depending on availability -- it's not on the menu for that reason.  You have to ask for it.  It's not cheap but my god is it worth it.  Absolutely fantastic.  Overall wonderful and authentic experience.  Recommend, will go back.

The service is ok. I was expecting more color and flavor but its good. I will rate the steak “ filet mignon” 0 to 10: 8. The salad was very basic and the potato was not the beat either. Overall the place has great decor and the service is a little pushy for me.
