For some reason this place is popular and I'm not sure why? This is my third time visiting. First visit was by choice because I was told it was awesome. The second was for a birthday gathering and the pizza was still blah. This visit was also for a birthday and we ended up waiting for over an hour before our waitress asked, how was it? As we replied, we haven't received anything. So it took nearly 2 hrs by the time we received our food. Knowing that I really didn't care for their pizza. I went with a safe bet and ordered a Meatball Hoagie. When our food was brought to the table I sat there for a bit staring at my sad looking hoagie. It was basically three small meatballs cut in half to fill a10 inch. With a little bit of tomato sauce splattered on the bread. So with this last visit I can assure it will be my last time eating there. If there is another gathering there I may show up but it will only be to drink. I'm only giving the second star for the second waitress or manager that gave us the discount on the food for taking so long.

We love Mellow Mushroom. Both of the Houston locations closed so we were happy to get our fix in Fort Worth. We started off with Parmesan pretzels and then ordered our two favorites pizzas (Thai Dye & Funky Q Chicken). All were hot & tasty and we cleaned out plates. The food was out in the appropriate amount of time and our server was friendly. Thanks for a great visit!

Great food! Get the Aioli on your pizza instead of red sauce. It's a whole new experience. Staff was on point. The place is very Eclectic. Go, you'll be glad you did.

New favorite place! For full description go to my Instagram page. Had the brushetta and their spinach artichoke dip. Tried the cloud 9 wings . Ordered a medium 3 ingredient pizza. Tried the strawberry shakedown and sunset in paradise alcoholic drinks.

It seems like a common theme at Mellow Mushrooms in Texas to be extra stingy with toppings. We ordered 3 pizzas for 78+ dollars before tax and tip. We usually only get veggies, they charge $2.50 for each topping for the build your own pie and they always barely put any veggies on our pizzas. Here in Fort Worth and in the Denton location, I don't get it! The pizzas are very tasty but I don't understand how they are so stingy with the toppings when they pay pennies on the dollar for the ingredients and make quite a big percentage when they charge 2.50 for each ingredient. Anyway be aware that if you order pizzas to go you might get very little toppings.

Kids pizza was no good, it’s basically a piece of bread sliced in half smothered in red sauce, drowned in cheese, the wings were the same as grocery store Tyson precooked wings, hardly any flavor even with the sauce, the small pizza was only highlight, our waitress was great, just wish the food was better for the price we paid. Overhyped for sure.

Took off work on Tuesday and decided a visit to Mellow Shroom was in order. It had been a minute. First thing I noticed is that they are doing a great job with social distancing between tables which I so appreciate. Hannah waited on us immediately taking our drink orders. Patrick ordered better than I did as his drink had toasted coconut around the rim. It was so good...sunrise or sunset something or other. Checking in gave us a free order of the pretzel bites which were delicious...beer cheese for dipping. We went with a large make your own pizza with hamburger, pepperoni, garlic & basil with jalapenos on half. It was perfect and so filling. We had another meal each to take home...that crust...yummy!

I love coming here. The staff is always incredibly helpful and attentive. The food is stellar and it is easily the best Mellow Mushroom I've been to. The local potato pizza is my absolute favorite.

Great place to eat and drinks as well. Bartender works only on Fridays, the greatest attitude about what she does!

We were visiting family and excited to go here, but unfortunately pretty disappointed. We are gluten free and vegan and the pizzas were SO small for the price and they didn't have many toppings on them. We also wanted to change the wording of the pizza we ordered because it would've been half the price, but they wouldn't let us which was very upsetting Definitely won't be going back!

I started ordering from here about a year ago. It’s definitely my favorite pizza of all time, but the prices are quite high. I’m willing to splurge occasionally when the pizza is that good. (Except on the occasions where they reduce the size of the pizza) However, my two major complaints are 1) my husband always gets a salad and every time, the portion is super small. He pays $1.25 extra to add grilled onions and it’s literally one teaspoon of onion; total rip-off for an already overpriced salad. (See photo) For this reason, we don’t eat here very often, and when we do, my husband usually gets food somewhere else 2) Every time I’ve been in here in the past year (with the exception of one time) the staff are jerks. They ignore you until you’ve stood there 5-10 minutes, then when they finally do look at you, they have “F off” written all over their face, like they’d rather be ANYWHERE else than talking to you. The first time I ever received my order and it was incorrect, I told the lady at the counter (kindly. I get it, mistakes happen. No biggie.) and she said “oh……….sorry.” and walked away. No offer to fix it, not even a sincere apology. After that, I decided it wasn’t worth even mentioning when things were wrong. So for this reason, we make it a habit not to dine in, only ordering take-out. So if you’re willing to pay a high price for good pizza TO TAKE HOME and NOT a salad, this is a great place.

I've been a patron of Mellow Mushroom for several years, but my recent visit this weekend prompted me to revise my review. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, only to find that it was missing two key ingredients - onions and bacon. My friends ordered pizzas with spinach, which they barely added. It seems they are quite stingy with their ingredients, to the extent of omitting them altogether. Regrettably, I won't be revisiting in the future.

Was definitely a mellow place! We had an amazing waitress always made sure our glasses were filled always came over with a smile. I definitely do love my pizza as far as the potato pizza I wasn't necessarily the biggest fan of I didn't really taste much potatoes imo I feel like if they went w square crispy potatoes that would make this pizza a next level dish for sure make them square and crispy not saying the pizza was bad by any means we destroyed it and only had one pizza slice left to take home. The place was real clean which is definitely always a plus in my eyes and they had a lot of different pizzas to try so definitely going to have to come back as well as the people sitting behind us talking about how good the gluten free pizzas is made me want to come back and try that one next time. We enjoyed our meal as well as the waitress we had thank you for making this a great experience mellow

My first time coming here. My girl has been here before and told me it was awesome. After a rainy and lazy Sunday afternoon, we got hungry and decided to hit this spot up. I'm glad we did. First off, they have a good draft beer selection. I ordered the Bells Two Hearted IPA....not too hoppy and great taste. My girlfriend wanted something other than beer and ordered the Lavender Grove which was delicious! I got the first sip....yummy!! We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. Very creamy and good flavor. Then, we ordered a large House Special pizza and it was delicious! This thing was loaded with toppings, crispy crust and nice n hot! I was tempted on the meatball hoagie from a Google review picture, but we agreed to split a pizza. Maybe next time.... We ended up taking home the other half of the pizza. It reheats well in the oven. 425F for 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and so we're the restrooms. That goes a long way with me. I wish I could remember our waitresses name, she was awesome! Short Hispanic lady that knows her job well. I'll definitely be back soon to explore the rest of the menu. If you are looking for great pizza, great beer and drinks or both, this place won't disappoint.

I was recommended this place by a friend but maybe he was hyping it too much that I was a bit disappointed. The place and food aren’t bad but nothing extraordinary. It wasn’t crowded but it took a bit to get seated and to get our food. The bread from the pizza was really good though.

I’ve had my food delivered before and it’s usually not warm when I get it so today I picked it up. This sweet employee named Lyle was so kind on the phone and very helpful when I asked about curbside . He said to call and let him know when I was there and he would run it out to me as I wasn’t feeling too well. Thank you Lyle and thank you Mellow Mushroom , my food was great ! I had a Cesar salad w/ chicken and the spinach artichoke dip , yummy !

This was my first time visiting and won't be my last. We ordered a 16" pizza with mozzarella, sausage, spinach and pepperoni and it was delicious. The crust was perfect and not the skinny shoe strings you see from the major chain pizza places. The waitress was very nice and refilled drinks before they were at 1/4 empty.

Wings are always a hit and miss when eating out (unless you’re at Wing Stop) so I was a bit reluctant to order wings from here but all I have to say is WOW! They did not disappoint and were delicious. Extra crispy, meaty, and the sauce was amazing. I also ordered a large pepperoni pizza which I enjoyed just as much.

Jared was a great server. Just like visiting with a friend. This was our first visit and it was great. The Greek salad was huge and the house special pizza was great! What really capped it off was the Breckenridge vanilla Porter. My wife and I have been looking for a replacement for the beer we loved which is no longer brewed. Anyway, I'm sure we'll be back.

This place is awesome! I ordered a Peach Buzz and loved my drink. For food, I got the Holy Shitake Pie and I was super impressed with my pizza. If you’re a mushroom lover, that pizza is a must. Jared took care of our table and did an outstanding job. If you have the chance to go check this place out, do it!!

This place never disappoints. The pizza is amazing with loads of options. There are also sandwiches, calzones, and salads, but DON'T FORGET to order the pretzels! Order these as soon as you are seated since they do take a while, but you do not want to miss out on these crunchy, though soft pillows of wonderfulness!

There are many places in Ft Worth that serve pizza but none that do it with the uniqueness and unashamed hippieness as Mellow Mushroom. The menu features many wonderful choices but I will tell you that if you do not try the Holy Shiitake pizza, you are living an unfulfilled life. There is plenty of seating, indoors and out. And their outdoor patio is dog friendly. The staff is friendly and ready to serve you in the hour of your craving for pizza perfection.

My husband and I visited this location last night; the first time in several years. Our last experience was amazing, so we were definitely looking forward to our dinner. The pizza was soggy and greasy, and had minimal flavor. It was also not the pizza that we ordered. The service was also not great. I’m not going to state her name, because that’s just not who I am. I should mention that I believe this was limited to just our particular waitress; the waitresses serving the tables around us were doing great. It took 18 minutes to get our drinks, and 10 mins to get our ranch and blue cheese we requested. She seemed to have a pretty poor attitude overall. She also stated she would discount the pizza, we did NOT request a discount nor did we really make a big stink about the fact that the pizza was wrong, and she didn’t end up discounting anything. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

My family really loves the food here and they are a seriously picky group, very hard to please. Pizza crust, sauce, and everything are just really good and unique. The salads are really delicious too. Servers at this mellow mushroom are always so friendly and professional! Some have been there a long time and you can tell they love what they do. Jared has been our server a few times and you would think he owned the place from how much he cares about making it a good experience for everyone, including our 5 year old.

They have the best, most unique pizza crust. The ranch is on point. I got half holy shitake and half baked potato and they were both some of the best pizza I've ever had. Mushroom soup is really fantastic, too.

Went on a Sunday to squeeze in a birthday celebration for my brother. We had about 45 min to 1 hour to celebrate. Called ahead to order pizza as we were driving in to Fort Worth and knew time was tight. Manager was courteous enough to tell us we couldn’t do a call ahead because it was a weekend but if the patio was open we could sit there to eat with no server since they were so busy. There was room and he gave us cokes on him. We were able to eat delicious pizza and celebrate my son in the short window we had. Thanks mellow mushroom!!

The food was amazing! Our server wasn’t great but my nee fav is the truffle mushroom pizza!

  • 4/5 Marvin H. 2 years ago on Google
The drinks and food here are tasty. The pizza is above average pricing (additional for the vegan cheese option) and the drinks are reasonably priced and not devoid of alcohol. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant is located in a nice area with other local shops nearby. Not a destination spot, but definitely a solid option if you are nearby.
