Super cool cocktail bar with very interesting drinks. I went by myself and felt pretty welcomed by the other customers and staff. I'm new to town and this will definitely be one of my go'to bars Update: I got a little tipsy but luckily the bartender helping me stopped me from drinking any more throughout the night so I made it home safe. Thanks guys! Also, happy new years! Uodate 2: Still awesome place

Thomson’s Bookstore has a very cool concept for a bar. The ambiance and decor is inviting and quite nice. The drinks are extremely well made. All the drinks I had there were refreshing, tasty, and made with care. The midnight moonlight and the telling of the bees were great tasting drinks. The gin old fashioned was quite strong, but well made. The details that elevate an establishment to the next level, Thompson’s Bookstore took those into account.

Fantastic service by Andres. It was confirmed by another guest who was seated at the bar. Amazing hospitality, which is why people return. Will surely visit again when I am in Fort Worth. Great cocktails, amazing ambience, friendly staff...a must visit if you are in the area.

Absolutely love this spot! Discovered this little gem while visiting downtown Fort Worth and looking for a good cocktail. We were going to Bass Hall for a performance and we had about 90 minutes before the show. This was about a 5 minute walk from the 777 Main Street Garage which was perfect. The happy hour is amazing for their signature cocktails. My friend and I ordered the Aviation cocktail and my husband had an Old Fashioned. The cocktails were very well made and we loved the mixologist that created them. He was super friendly and chatty even though they were extremely busy. Can’t wait to go back here and check out the speak easy next time. I would recommend this place for anyone going to Fort Worth and looking for a good cocktail.

By far the coolest little spot in downtown Fort Worth and has just made all my future business meetings down there more exciting! The bartenders know their craft and they are incredibly knowledgeable about what they are doing. Felt like I was in a trendy NYC bar. Can't wait to go back!

Best cocktail bar ever! Walked in and we were greeted with a smile, sat down at the bar and asked some questions about the cocktails, they were very polite and informative. You could tell they really enjoy their craft and make some phenomenal cocktails.

What's the password? S-P-E-A-K-E-A-S-Y. We snuck on down to thompson's Bookstore's "hidden" entrance around back and gave the password found on the botton of any receipt from the bookstore. Inside was a quaint bar with seating and room for plenty. There were 3 or 4 small groups when we entered, too many to count when we left. The specialty cocktails were twists on clssics but with a theme. Several were delicious. The "100 years of solitude", actually made me want to be alone.

This is hands down our favorite bar. The happy hour atmosphere is the best and the quality of the drinks is top notch. This is a great bar to start your evening at. They don't serve any food so we pretty much stay until we are hungry. The downside is that when this place gets busy the service can slow way down. Again perfect for a mid-week happy hour. Not so great for a Saturday night. Can't wait to see the new renovations and additions upstairs.

Great atmosphere. The cigar lounge on the 3rd floor is a cool spot but it is definitely too small for the crowd it draws. This made is pretty cramped and the service crazy slow. That said I still really liked the place.

Came here with some friends after dinner. We decided to go downstairs to the speakeasy. Atmosphere was great, a little dark, moody, but lively. Drink prices were very reasonable and the staff was great.

Find the cool bar located on the lower level (hint; look for blue light over the stairway),enjoy tremendous cocktails and a chill, speakeasy vibe. Don't forget to get the password to enter! Love this bar!

Cute little bar that feels hidden. Their happy hour is generous, $6.50 for a classic cocktail from 3-8PM every day. I tried the Aviation, which was delicious. The bartenders are also very nice and friendly and give great recommendations. Very cool that it has a basement level as well as a cigar lounge as well.

We had a great time here. We arrived 10 minutes after opening and were greeted by the friendly bartenders. Very welcoming vibe. The cocktails were perfectly crafted and served. I definitely recommend this spot!

This place was amazing! It was our first time there this past weekend and we did have to wait to get in but no long at all the guy running the door on 8.12.23 was awesome, good dude. Anyways my wife and I stayed on the main level for a while and then decided to check out the speak easy. That was the only disappointment for us. I thought the main floor felt more speakeasy and the speakeasy felt more like a club. Anyways, 3rd level was a cigar lounge and it was a nice set up. Over all had a great experience and Rosè took good care us all night. We'll be back, this place is what the hype says it is.

Beware bartenders pour less (OUNCES LESS) on your second round! 9/8 evening ordered the same drink twice from my server, and the second was much smaller and the same price. Bartender and management more interested in profit than service. Server was professional and good.

This place was a chill atmosphere. I was told to come back during the week when the speak easy is open downstairs. They also have a cigar lounge upstairs. Sarah, the bartender, made me feel like u was at home. Super welcoming. Can't wait to go back. The drink is a blood over flowers...might have it wrong, whiskey, cabernet, and muddled fruit. The taste is amazing

How about a cocktail with a side of Quaint, and Charming! That’s the best way for me to describe Thompson’s Bookstore. If you want to know the best places to go for a cocktail, ask Hospitality, and Entertainment industry professionals, and they will definitely point you in the right direction. Entering, you’re transported back in time. The cozy furniture, diverse clientele, and assorted literature, create the perfect ambiance for stimulating conversations. Our bartenders were a delight, and really helped us select the perfect Japanese whiskey for the night. Interesting, they offer pours by the oz. Good to know if you’re watching your budget. You can go crazy on Wednesdays, when everything is half off. Enjoy yourself at Thompson’s bookstore! Maybe you’ll find me at the bar, with a book, and cocktail! Xoxo Lorenzo

What an awesome spot in downtown Fort Worth. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The drinks were delicious. Next time I'm passing through I'll definitely stop in. Cheers 🥃

Drinks have always been good. However, on several occasions, not just one, the doors are not open at 3pm…3:15…3:30. So I’m not sure why you list hours for which you are not open. Move the time to later if you don’t intend on being open at 3pm. Also I’ve had two people who work here walk right past me on the street while I’m standing at the door knowing I’m waiting to go in and not say a word. Not Cool.

This is a great bar! We met some friends here who knew how to get into the bottom of it which is a speakeasy that you need a code to get into. The location looked amazing and the bartenders were great! Even if you can't get below the top of it was great as well. This is a great bar if you find yourself in downtown Fort Worth.

This place looked closed at first glance, we decided to try the handle and were not disappointed. The old fashioned was not too bitter or too sweet. The staff were clean and friendly. They seemed to strive to impress us with every drink - we appreciated this. Overall, a great bar with great employees. Thanks for having us!.

Excellent craft cocktail bar. Very good selection of tasty whiskeys even with current supply issues. Talented staff. Fun history.

Ty made some awesome drinks. Love the vibe, customer service and dedication to the drinks. Every drink has its own profile of flavor and offers a unique libation experience!

Cute speakeasy. Upstairs is just as nice as the speakeasy is. If the blue light is on around the corner, you can sneak in the bottom entrance as well.

I have never had a bad experience here. The cocktails are worth every last penny. Great bartenders, fantastic people, and a chill atmosphere. This place is like a self playing grand piano. It is undeniably wonderful.
