The service at Angelo's was excellent and it has the ambiance of an established Texas BBQ joint. However, I found the meats to be fairly average. The brisket was good but there wasn't anything memorable about it. Their ribs seem like an afterthought that they just throw on the pit with the other meats but don't really pay much attention to. The sides were ok. This isn't bad bbq but it doesn't excite me about going back.

OMG, i have lived in Texas for 22 years… and this place is awesome! the food was perfect, not greasy or all fatty, but lean and tasty. The best potato salad!! and im picky with my potato salad! lol But also the price was nice!! usually it gets very pricey to enjoy a good bbq.. not here! well served and the staff amazing! would highly recommend to visit!!

Quick BBQ, the chicken was moist and smokey. Serving size is generous! The atmosphere is fine Souther Comfort.

Angelo’s is a long time establishment of Fort Worth and it should be on a list of BBQ places to check out while visiting. I recommend ordering a side of pickles and onions when picking up BBQ because their pickle spears are outta this world. Their BBQ Is pretty tasty, grab some brisket, a side of beans (and Texas BBQ pro tip: ask for a few complimentary slices of bread to go with your meal) and you will be hog heaven and FULL. Angelo’s Bar-B-Que is worth the visit.

It's definitely one of the best BBQ places! Fresh and delicious meat. BBQ ribs were very good. Also, brisket was 🔥! Good atmosphere inside. Coleslaw was good. Backed beans, great choice. People are nice and friendly.

Ribs and brisket were ‘okay’ although I’ve had better from gas stations. I’ve never seen anyone cut brisket as if it’s a big chunk of roast but that’s how my “sliced” brisket was served. Something told me to turn around after seeing one of the servers preparing food without gloves. Then, goes into the warming drawer, picks up an ear of corn with his bare hands and serves it. I’m from Houston and I have a different set of expectations when it comes to top notch food. This isn’t it. Oh, the sides taste like they were store bought or prepared from a box and “spiced”‘up.

I've been a customer of Angelo's since birth and my family since 1963. In all these years it has become our place. We had a wedding reception, 2 funeral dinners, and countless dinner and lunches. The nostalgia never changes. One of my favorite parts is how despite the demand for new and shiny high tech everything, Angelo's has maintained the same decor and ambiance I remember for the last 42 years. The food is amazing. If you want a nice stack of ribs, Cole slaw, potato salad, and beans, get the rib plate. You won't regret it. The draft beer is so cold it freezes in the glass. Like light? They got you. Rather have a dark? Shiner it is! And don't forget, "Dark, Make it large" is totally understood. While the grizzly at the door may have moved, the coin operated prize machines are long gone, and the menu is now a digital big screen, Angelo's is a staple of west Fort Worth and will forever stay in my heart as the best BBQ ever made!

Old fashioned BBQ. Don’t expect fancy! Order at a bar, select your drinks. Used to be a famous local “beer joint” however, it has only a few beers currently. Beware: roared turkey is spicy.

I love the atmosphere here. My family has been coming to this place since before I was born. It's been open for ages and the food is fantastic and the staff is very nice. The wait time is basically nothing because the cooks are so fast at getting everything served out to each customer. I love it and I can't wait to go back for more.

I give it a three only because it is an icon in Fort Worth. Smells better than it is. Baked beans are no more than ranch style beans you can get in any grocery store. Green beans are most likely canned. Potato salad you have to wonder if it is store bought. Turkey I've had much better elsewhere. Brisket the same. It's just okay as far as food is concerned. On another note, Want to have a beer. It's cold schooners are frozen. It's a great place to meet friends and have a drink and some laughs. I have had many here. But the food is just okay and pricey for what it is.

My absolute favorite BBQ place in Fort Worth - been coming here since I was a toddler in the 50s, and have never been disappointed in their food. I recommend any of their plates, my favorite is 2 sliced beef BBQ sandwiches, with everything on them and of course a large dark (Shiner Bock) served iced cold!

I stopped in with my brother, and our wives yesterday. My brother and I have been eating there for 50 years!!! What has happened to this place?!! the food looks like it’s store-bought, my favorite slice brisket sandwich wasn’t even hot! My wife’s sliced turkey sandwich was the same way. My brother’s rib plate looks like it was store-bought Also, I guess they don’t do their food locally outback anymore.

This place has Been here for such a long time. The ribs always do fall off of the bone. Kinda wish they would update some stuff bc it definitely hasn’t changed one bit over the years but the food is delicious.

The sum of the parts is greater than the whole. Everything taken together makes this one of the best BBQ joints around. I believe the building has finally achieved dive status after 60 years, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The BBQ really good, the beer served in frosted mugs great. Sides are tasty but I wish they would upgrade their beans. Atmosphere is perfect, servers are friendly and efficient. It had been years since I had been since it's a bit of a drive, but I won't wait so long next time. You should go soon for you true Texas BBQ experience.

Brisket was super dry, they charge extra for shredded cheese on a baked potato????? Bbq sauce is very vinegary and unpleasant. Mac n cheese was made with very over cooked pasta. For $15 this was definitely a place I will never go back to and couldn’t even finish.

This was our Nolan Reunion luncheon. The food at Angelo's is DELICIOUS!!!!! Great BBQ aromas, taste, and atmosphere! Great choice of restaurants!!! Love the animals in the upper eating area!! Reminds me of South Dakota!!!

Great bbq!! The brisket was awesome. You can taste the local Texans BBQ. One thing that I was bit disappointed was their corn. It is not juicy taste little blend to me. Coleslaw taste little different than other bbq restaurants. It was more like apple taste and sour sweet. Bread was soft and tasty.

I buy their seasonings so I expected the food to be flavorful. That was not the case. The macaroni and corn tasted like they didn't add salt and pepper. The sausage was room temperature and pretty dry. The food tastes comparable to Dickies BBQ. We will not be back.

The place was packed. If I wasn't working, I would have taken advantage of their schooner of beer. They looked ice cold and delicious. It's a walk-up and order type of place and pick your own seat. The BBQ was delicious. You come out of their smelling like a smoke stack but thats a true sign of a great BBQ place. Highly recommended.
