NEW EDIT 5/3/22: They lowered the prices! Well, some of them. I gave them back 2 stars. The prices are now in line with other post covid price increases. The chicken fried steak is now priced appropriately. And they are posting accurate prices on their website! Also, it seems like they were able to locate a well trained cook who has stayed in place. EDIT: Good reviews of this restaurant are all BEFORE the price change. Many took pics of the menu, so check the date and that menu they posted. You will see the difference. This used to be one of our go to places. I don't know if it's the result of post covid supply chain issues or current economics, but the prices have SIGNIFICANTLY increased in the last three months. Burgers & Sandwiches used to be between $11 and $12 and now they are $15 to $18. We are talking hole in the wall/small town diner food, not a gourmet burger place. And chicken fried steak dinner went up to $24! I could get prime rib at Charlestons for only a couple of dollars more. Again, this is not gourmet food. Admittedly, it's hole in the wall food with great view of the lake, but it's not worth these prices.

The staff here are awesome. I brought my lady here for an evening date. I had the mushroom swiss burger. It was amazing. She had the grilled cajun chicken sandwich which was awesome. The view of the lake was very nice it still sunlight out but as the sun goes down I'm sure it's beautiful. As a guide I give this place five stars the environment was clean the service was awesome and the owner was great. A very nice place to have drinks and some good old-fashioned American food.

This place is GREAT at ignoring customers… what a wast of wonderful space…I’m not sure what has happened over the years, but we keep giving it “one last try”. LOVE view of the lake, but that’s about it…Monday night 7pm…two employees (?)…live music…nice weather (67 degrees), so we sat on outside, but not before we knew to grab a brew. We decided to time it. Arrived at 710pm. As of now it’s 745, and NOT ONE PERSON came to see if we wanted ANYTHING. (Prices have gone up, quality has not-from the last time we were here) We’ll be spending our money at another restaurant. Don’t get me wrong: GREAT place to sit and drink, but be prepared to get your own drinks & not eat anything…I would post pics of food, but no one ever came to take our order! Here’s pic of menu of foods you’ll never get…

This place is not near as good as it use to be a few years ago. Not sure what’s happened but just not as good. I’d say it’s good for a drink and appetizer but not a meal. I got the cheese burger with fries. It was ok, nothing special. The fries were pretty good though. The price was way high for what you get. My mom got the catfish. It had a very strong smell. Catfish does not usually smell like that. Either way she could not finish. She got the pinto beans with it and they were inedible to us. Just not good. Can’t quite put my finger on it. Then the salt and pepper shakers were nasty. They had someone’s crusty old dirty grim on them and need to be cleaned. The final straw was the excessive loud music coming from the kitchen. It did not fit the restaurant atmosphere and it was the cooks music. I didn’t go there to hear their music. I’ll come back for a drink and see the nice view of the lake but not to sit and eat like a restaurant. I think they have live music that might be cool to see.

Food was D tier at best - but priced like it was Ruth's Chris. 17 bucks for chicken tenders that resembled a brick. I've reheated mcdonalds that was more exciting that that. 100 bucks total for a couple beers and food for 2 at a local lake shack? I don't write food reviews much but I was astonished at how this place managed to mess up dive bar/lake food. Looking forward to someone else buying the property when it inevitably goes under. Only a matter of time - Tick tock. View was nice. Waiter was kind and attentive, props to her.

A great place to spend a Friday evening! Beautiful lakeside views of Lake Worth. Good live music, this Friday was classic country music perfectly performed. A good selection of food from burgers and dinners to seafood. Service was friendly but slow.

View was nice. Server Alexis H. was very kind and attentive. We had a BLT - bacon was burned and Patty Melt - pretty dry. It was right after they opened so may not have gotten into the groove yet.

Not my cup of tea. The customer service was horrible, we waited WAY to long to have a waiter take our drink order then another 20+ minutes (we had to finally flag someone down) to order our food. They were not crowded at the time but said they were short staffed. The food was not good at all and I do not believe that was catfish. Highly disappointed especially since I stepped outside of the box to try something new.

The Point is kid and dog-friendly. It's shady enough to eat outside and enjoy the atmosphere off the lake. The food was delicious and the atmosphere laid back. We happened to be there on karaoke night, which was awesome. We ate outside so the kids could run around on the lawn and it was heaven!

Absolutely love the band that was there tonight. Nö Plans...The hostess was amazing. Really kind young blond I didn't get her name. The bartender was a little grumpy and slow, and inaccurate she kept forgetting to give me the lime I asked for for a friend. But maybe she was new, or busy with the other four people that were sitting in that area. I don't think she liked the music to much. The service was not bad enough that I wouldnt go back there. I will indeed go back there if Nö Plans is there definitely. But even if they are not. I used to be a waitress. and I know not all days can be perfect.

Something must have happened to this place since April 2023. The roof is destroyed and leaking BADLY. The restaurant smelled musty. Many said the leaking had been “going on for months”. A small staff worked tirelessly to move tables so the water did not drip on our table. Our young sweet waiter also worked hard to keep cups and glasses full. We were there 12/15/23 during “happy hour” Happy hour has no food on a happy hour menu, only drinks. I loved the beer “on keg” selections. The onion rings were great. BUT our table agreed the food we ordered off the main menu was bland. The table plastic cloths were dingy and the staff had to get napkins from the bar. Silverware was wrapped in a paper that was stiff from having been in contact with water. It was a dive dining experience and that’s a shame with such a lovely view of the lake!!!

Whether a spot to get together with friends, a date or a multi-generational gathering with small children (we had 9 folks and three four year olds for a birthday party), you absolutely can’t beat the sunsets (see pic) on the water. The colors are magical! You can even eat outdoors, includes a bar in the back. Extra friendly service with cocktails and beers on the menu. Come here when you are craving a burger, chicken tenders or catfish (healthy salad options available too). Lots of appetizing starters. This is the place to come to appreciate life, food, and people with nature’s perfect backdrop (restaurant lined with windows). There is a stage in the dining room too! Perfect event spot with no cooking required! Highly recommend. Can’t beat the backdrop.

Did not eat. Came to enjoy the drinks. Coors Light draft I’m good to go. The lake was great. Came for the scenery. Meagan was my bartender. Super friendly. Yes I was not welcome upon entry but it’s 1:30pm on a Tuesday. So kinda dead. Outside seating was closed but enjoyed the shade in the patio. Did not get to eat. I will be back 😁

Close to the lake and offers great pricing on draft beers, but everything needs to be cleaned. The tables are all full of dust and dirt, which has me worried how the kitchen is kept if the dining area is presented that way. Great if you can just grab a beer at the bar and sit on the patio, but I would keep it to just that. The service was also super slow even considering it was a weekday evening.

Looking for someplace different while in north FW area, and found out about this place. Food was good, large portions. Nice atmosphere w/live music, prices pretty reasonable. The one (big) negative is when I was going over my credit card statement I noticed they had added an extra $5 to my tip amount. Not good.

The food is good and the view is great! The service was really good. The building is so old. It needs some updates. If it were updated and with a fresh menu then I bet the place would be busting at the seams because the view and location are great! The restrooms don't flush properly, the décor is super old from like the 1960s and the whole place could use a face lift!

So I took my friends to this place randomly after I found it on Google maps. The lake view is really nice during sunset.10 out of 10. The food was a 8 out of 10. The service was 9 out of 10. The only reason it wasn't 10 was because they got part of our order wrong but they made up for it by giving us half off our whole order! Definitely worth the trip. Will be coming back often.

Great place for a beer, very laid back atmosphere. Sit by the lake or inside. Our food was good, not great. Portions are enormous. We ordered cajun style shrimp and it was slightly seasoned. It could have used a lot more cajun seasoning. You get 9 decent sized shrimp and 2 sides. The other diner in our party got the fish tacos, these are fried catfish also with 2 sides. The catfish was also quite bland. I should have asked for hot sauce, but made do with salt and pepper. For our sides, we tried beans, green beans, fries, and fried okra. Okra was good, green beans good but basic, fries were fine and beans very good.

First visit here and it's a small restaurant with a super nice bar and patio area, literally a few feet from the lake! It was about to rain and it's a beautiful place in the patio watching the rain move in, well definitely be back!

I hate leaving a bad review for this place, but it seems like the service has taken a dive in the last couple of years. The Point had always been one of my favorite lunch and dinner places for 5+ years. But the last few times I've been here- the service has been terrible. Most recently, I went with someone that had never been. It was starting to get chilly outside, so we asked the guy at the register if he could turn on one of the heaters for us. After 30 minutes, and asking our waitress three times for someone to turn it on- we gave up and went inside. Our appetizer was a chicken and cheese quesadilla. The waitress confirmed it, but when it came out- it was loaded with onions and mushrooms as well. I have a mushroom allergy, so I didn't get to have any of it. When our dinner order arrived- my mashed potatoes were swimming in gravy(which I didn't see on the menu) and I'm not a gravy fan at all. Didn't really eat my mashed potatoes either. Now. My ham and cheese sandwich was good, and my date liked her food. Sad to say, but I probably won't go back. The Point stays busy because of Lockheed, so they probably won't care if one person doesn't come back. This place used to be awesome- but it looks like COVID ruined another great place.

The burgers were delicious. Chips and dip were good Along with the drinks. The sampler appetizer wasn't that good at all. The fried mushrooms were too big so the inside wasn't cooked all the way through. Would recommend cutting the mushrooms in half and then frying them. Didn't like the hush puppies ethier.

I would give five stars if the service were better. We often struggle to get decent service, although we have had a couple good servers here. Other than that it is a great location and excellent for food and drink after a day out on the lake and they have several slips where you can pull in with the boat. They have some of the best Friday catfish around and the filets are huge

Ambiance was great and food was pretty good. The service although friendly, was super slow and clustery. I know the whole world is short staffed, but this has been an ongoing issue for sometime. I would go back to have some drinks, but not sure I would go if I was trying to show someone a good time

We sat outside at a table overlooking the lake while enjoying a cold beer and listening to a very good DJ and some karaoke singers. We will definitely go back and try the food next time.

Great view. Live band. The band was great but it was TOO loud for the very small space. Food was ok. Don't get the tostados- tasteless and dry. The fried catfish is the best option and very tasty! 1

Good food, nice environment. I feel the food is slightly overpriced but maybe I’m being cheap lol. I loved the quesadilla we got for $15.

My first time here. I went around 1910. The atmosphere was perfect! The staff was super nice. The catfish was fresh, hot & crispy. It’s perfect!!! I also got an amazing raspberry cheesecake!!! I’ll be back with my family next time!

3 years living in Fort Worth, can’t believe I just now discovered this place. Good food, chill vibe and right by the lake. Will definitely come back!
