This review is for two times of eating at the Blu Crab. Both times were extremely disappointing. The first time we ate there we got the coconut shrimp, mixed grill, horseradish crusted sea bass and the shaved Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts and the mixed grill were delicious, the coconut shrimp was ok, and the “sea bass” was disgusting(I don’t think it was sea bass) Our waitress was extremely inattentive, I had to go refill our own drinks and when I brought up the fact my “sea bass” was not good but the Brussels sprouts were good. She replied “at least something was good”, and walked away. I eventually gave up on eating my “sea bass” and set it aside. After waiting for an extremely long time for the check I finally asked for the manager. The manager was appalled at or service, and admitted the chef was not pleased with the quality of the “sea bass”. The manager blamed it on them being new and completely comped our meal, which was overly generous and not asked for. She asked us to please give them a second chance, which we said we would. We got Blu crab for take out today. We got the mixed grill, jambalaya, crab stuffed shrimp, and shaved Brussels sprouts. The mixed grill did not look appetizing at all, and it was not, the jambalaya was mushy, and had no flavor other than spicy, it was not worth eating. The Brussels sprouts and crab stuffed shrimp were good but not amazing. I appreciate the manager going above and beyond to make our first visit right. That is why I waited till the second visit to leave a review. The second time was just as disappointing. The blu crab is a nice place with a good menu, but the quality of the food is extremely poor. Hopefully they change and get better. The pictures were after we ate (gave up eating). Even though the food is half eaten you can see how unappetizing it looked.

The wife and I went last night and I gotta say it was not good. The skin on my red fish was soggy and it tasted burnt. That’s hard to do. This was our second trip and our last. If we want to spend $39.00 per plate it better be good. I was honest with the both the server and the manager that the fish was no good and I only ate one bite. Still paid full price but they did offer to bring me another piece of fish. I declined it in fear that it would be just as nasty. Worst piece of fish ever.

First time dining experience here. Arrived just in time for the happy. Great way to try out several appetizers with some fantastic drinks. Everything ordered was recommended by Jason the waiter. He really knew the menu and didn't just blankly recommended the most expensive items. Ordered the seafood trio. The shrimp, scallops, and lobster were amazing. Followed up with the bourbon bread pudding. Highly recommend this place and ask for Jason.

Our first time here! Didn’t know what to expect, but was 100% pleased! Food was fantastic and service was great. It was a slow night so we were able to enjoy our time there. Definitely would go back! Absolutely love the atmosphere! New Orleans vibe, live music. Great experience.

7 of us came for dinner and it was all delicious. Ariel was our server and she was great. We all had fish and very much enjoyed our food. I had the redfish and it was excellent! Best I have had in years. This was our first time to this excellent restaurant and it will not be our last!

For my Wife's birthday she wanted to try the Blu Crab Seafood House. We were welcomed by Gary at the front door and he was our waiter for our dining experience. We sat down and discussed their wine selection and were offered a taste of wine we were interested in, to see if we liked it. We selected a different bottle and were offered a taste and we went with that bottle. Our appetizer was the seafood bruschetta (Excellent). Our main courses were stuffed shrimp with crab, sides of garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, and their signature horseradish sea bass in a beurre blanc sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts with bacon. Both meals proportions were above average and were very tasteful. Our dessert was the Bourbon bread pudding and it was amazing. It was an awesome dining experience and Gary service was the reason for the amazing experience.

I found this place while looking for a place to take my mentee for lunch. I enjoyed it! I will definitely be back soon. Our waitress Regina was wonderful!

We would give this place 5 stars if their staff met the ethical standards of any business. Our card ended up being charged an additional $10, which we only noticed days later while checking some bills. They found the merchant copy and it showed double the tip amount we gave (which would involve changing the overall total on the bill). Good food, visually aesthetic environment, perfect location, but definitely check your bank account after your visit and make sure any shady employees lacking professional integrity don’t think they can pull one over on you.

Completely satisfied with a few recent visits. Food very good, as was service. However, since we do not have a tree in our back yard which grows $20 bills, the price will cause our visits to be less frequent than we would like.

This is a very laid-back and casual restaurant. I took my husband today for his birthday and received a free dessert to celebrate. The food was good. Although I wouldn't write home about it, my husband's opinion was the opposite, he loved his boil. The price wasn't too bad. We had 1 appetizer, 1 cocktail, 2 entrees and the free dessert for the two of us to spend $120 before tip. Our waiter was great and although I'd definitely go back, it would for a while, and not before I try other places.

Jason was an outstanding server. He explained the foods, what was popular, what paired well with each. He stayed on top of refilling our drinks, which is always major for our family. The food was awesome!! We ordered the shrimp tacos, the halibut with Burrell blanc sauce (AMAZING) and the snow crab boil. We also ordered all the desserts; bread pudding, key lime pie and mousse cheesecake with raseberry sauce). Highly reco..end this place and if you try it, ask for Jason, he is the best!
