We have been talking about going here for a while and finally made a reservation for 6:30 PM Saturday, August 7. It is a bit of a drive so we gave our self a little bit of time to allow for possible traffic. We arrived a few minutes early and took a short walk but it was very hot so we went ahead and went to the restaurant. At the hostess stand there was a woman that we later came to understand was one of the owners. I would have to say that she did not greet us warmly at all, she said nothing, tilted her head and opened her eyes widely looking at us waiting for someone to speak to her. I told her we had a reservation she then made a point to tell us not once, not twice but three times that we were early. Finally, I offered to this woman that we would be happy to leave and return in 15 minutes at our precise reservation time. She then proceeded to tell us she would go ahead and seat us in a manner that made us feel as though someone was doing us a favor. This was really not a great start to our experience and as a sidenote, only two tables have people seated at them at this time, the place was virtually vacant. Our server was perfectly pleasant, we had the fried lobster bites for an appetizer, my husband ordered a steak, my son had the meatloaf and I had the special which was a chicken limone. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our food, thankfully because this more than made up for the odd behavior of the owner/hostess when we arrived. It appears that this place is struggling because when we left it was around 7:40 PM on a Saturday and very few patrons in the restaurant. If you are in the area, I would suggest you give them a try as the food is quite good. I believe they could do more in terms of specialty cocktails since they do have a full bar and a warm welcoming greeting goes a long way when people walk in to any restaurant… especially these days.

We moved to Texas in October and I started a long list of restaurants I want to try. Cat city grill was on my list and I saw they had a patio and with the excellent weather today it was absolutely going to be our lunch spot. We were immediately greeted with friendly faces and sat on the patio. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the 505 burger. The fish was seasoned perfectly, the waffle fries were great, the hush puppies were amazing. Everything was outstanding. Service was top notch. Wait time for food was a nonissue and drinks were always refilled. I wish I could give the review a 4.8 because I’m a Big Dipper of my food and the tarter sauce was some of the best tarter sauce I’ve ever had, but I really like to dip my fries in ranch and unfortunately the ranch did not live up to the 5 stars that I would undoubtedly give this place. Absolutely will return and incredible experience!!

I’m only giving this place stars because of the friendly and efficient staff. Otherwise, the chicken fried steak is extremely bland, absolutely no flavor. The breading shouldn’t slide off the steak, the steak didn’t have any kind of flavor to it. No salt, even. The hash is just diced fried potatoes, not the typical hash browns that are usually served around here. They are home fries with corn mixed in??? My dining partner’s food was okay, according to him. I will not be frequenting this place. Overpriced for the lack of flavor.

Great atmosphere. Nice location. Good food although my quiche was a little dry but good flavor. Nice and kind servers but I'm giving 4 stars only because the food took too long to come but we enjoyed waiting with our delicious mimosas!! I will come back for sure!

Nice little place. I had fish tacos off their lunch menu, and they were delicious. Their mimosas are good too. And try the lemon cake.

Ordering Chicken fried steak here is a big mistake. After the waitresses told us it was the best thing on the menu 2 of us ordered it. The crust and gravy were good but the meat was so tough and bland that it wasn't edible. There was no seasoning on the meat at all. It was even hard to cut with a knife and definitely too tough to chew. We paid for a full meal but just ate fries, toast and a little crust with gravy. Huge disappointment. Others in tge group liked the patty melt. But the potato soup was not the best. Just cream with potato flavoring, no potatoes in the soup. Then you get your bill and they add a fee for using a credit card without even telling you. So cheap to nickel and dime hidden fees. The prices are high enough that they should cover payment fees and not sneak it in on customers bills. It wasn't a huge amount but seems greedy and deceitful. I won't give them any more business.

Food wasn't all that great. This place seems like it solely lives off its alcohol sales as the food isn't what I consider flavorful. The staff was great though! Very friendly, timely and appreciative.

Great breakaway from the hospital. Came here alone and sat at the bar. Gina and Aaron were fantastic bartenders. They were very attentive and especially sweet. Very comfortable environment. I liked the music choice, as it gave off a very tasteful vibe. (Classic rock) All in all great experience. Had the calamari and the lobster bites. Lobster bites are small but just what I needed. Thanks for a great experience.

Great food. Have had the seafood pasta and chicken fried steak. Both excellent. On the pricey side but quality. Excellent half price wine Wednesday and happy hour goes to 7:00, later than most. Nice people.

We had the Texas omelette and the chicken fried steak and they were both delicious. Got there right when the doors opened and everyone was so friendly and we got seated right away. Great atmosphere and the food was super delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant if in the Fort Worth area

Loved this place. Came to Ft Worth for a wedding and my friend suggested this place; plus was hungry. You get a lot for a reasonable price! The service was fantastic and the vibes are great! If I ever come back to this city I will come here to eat again!

Best place on Magnolia for a quiet lunch or dinner, great food, great service. I had the grilled rainbow trout with lemon and cream sauce, Decadent! And the buttermilk pie. Wonderful! My companions had fish and chips, and salmon sliders. We all cleaned our plates 😊

Just went for brunch. Both me and my partners benedicts were awful. There was hardly any cream gravy on mine or hollandaise sauce on his (his sauce was dried out). The corn hash is NOT hash, its like dry home fries with loose corn mixed in it. Food was bland, mimosa was gross (frozen Bellini was okay) Our waitress was sweet (Scout), but one other waitress there seemed like he had a bad attitude when running some hot sauce and extra gravy to us (the hot sauce bottle he gave us was empty). We likely wont be back. There are plenty of other brunch spots nearby that are WAAY better

Absolutely fantastic meal. Also super great service! We ordered the calamari and didn’t like it, and they happily took it off our bill( with no drama at all) and sent out bruschetta which was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. Trey had the Short Rib which you didn’t need a knife for, with carrots and mashed potatoes. I had the Beef Stroganoff (also fantastic ) and wound up taking half of it home. Scout was absolutely a joy, and so knowledgeable about the menu, and you can tell she loves that place!! Great experience! Oh! And on Saturday night from 7-9 martinis are $7!!! Other drink specials too, but that’s what we had! Can’t wait to go back again!

Very accommodating staff. I had the "special" pork jalapeño with potatoes and salad. Very tasty. It's not too spicy, but just enough. Recommend if willing to spend a little extra!

We went for dinner last weekend. We had a great table by the front window. It had a great ambiance with table cloths, cloth napkins and twinkle lights in the trees outside. The wait staff was efficient and polite. We had a steak with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables and salmon with risotto and glazed carrots. Both entrees were perfectly cooked and delicious with good portions. I loved the glazed carrots however, the risotto and potatoes, while good, were very small portions. Those are some of the most inexpensive items that could have filled the plate a bit more, leaving the customer feeling like they got more for their money. The steak was $37 dollars and we had to pay an extra $6 for a simple side salad. That is included at nearly all other restaurants. I had the lobster bisque. It was $15 if I recall. It was ok but the bisque at Lucille’s Bistro was much creamier with a stronger flavor for $9.95. The food is very good and we may go back one day. There are a couple of changes that aren’t really expensive that would improve the experience and the feeling like I got a better value for the money spent. Our check for two was around $100. We ate a very similar dinner tonight at Lucille’s and also had a dessert for $70.

I'd have to say that overall my experience visiting this restaurant was a slight disappointment from the lofty expectations I set. If you are not a drinker then view this review as closer to a 4-star. Here's why: - The cocktail - I hate to be dramatic but this was easily the worst old fashioned I think I've ever had. It was very watered down, and tasted like a cheap imitation. - The food - the food was great. I got Chicken Fried Steak and both the gravy and the steak, as well as the sides, tasted amazing. - The appetizer - I got Bruschetta which I'd have to recommend to the cooking staff to lighten up on the feta. Both of us commented to each other that there was an absurd amount of feta cheese, you could hardly see the bread. Other than that was a solid appetizer. When you eat at a nicer restaurant naturally your expectations are higher. Unfortunately they were not met, but I'd be interested in giving it another chance. Will not order a drink next time though.

Overall great experience. We came Saturday at opening time (10:30am) for brunch. Food arrived quickly. The side of bacon was perfectly cooked and the sausage in the sausage & biscuits fell apart in your mouth. *chefs kiss* The chicken fried steak had a nice flavor in the batter and the waffle fries were a great mix of crispy and soft. Only complaint I have is the Bloody Mary was sub-par, but the drink was still worth the $3 it cost.

Quiche was very different. More like stuffed cheese cornbread than fluffy egg custard. Caesar was not good. Omelets and benedicts looked good. Not an egg oerson so I was short on menu options. cheap bar drinks though.

This breakfast/lunch restaurant serves alcohol and offers delicious food at a good price. It is family owned and has the feel of a local place. They have outdoor seating which looked inviting but it was 104 when I went so I stayed inside! The salad and sandwich I ate was filling and so tasty. Definitely recommend it!

phenomenal service and amazing food. definitely try the brie appetizer.. the chili relleno is spectacular. Chef knows their stuff. just perfect. Prepare to pay more than you want to, but by the end of the meal it will be worth it. Perfect date night location if you are wanting to impress that certain someone. they also have a seated bar area if you are just dropping in for a good beer and some great food. fun environment.

Nicely designed. The atmosphere and service makes it a pleasant place to eat. They're reasonably priced, also. I gave 3 stars because, while we enjoyed the "visit", the food underperformed. I ordered Salmon Sliders - great pairing of ingredients, but the salmon was overcooked and there was very little aioli, making for a rather dry slider. The waffle fries served with the sliders were delicious however. They were seasoned well and had just the right amount of crisp. I'll visit again, but if the food isn't prepared well again then I'm afraid it may become my last trip.

Brunch was lovely, if a bit slow. However, they are likely suffering from a lack of help like many venues.

If you want a good wholesome Sunday. Church in the morning, brunch at CCG next. My wife and I had our wedding reception here and always have the best brunch ever here. Food-Cooked to perfection Staff- Awesome and friendly Atmosphere- Homestyle and cute Show me another restaurant where the OWNER doesn't mind running the bar BY HIMSELF.
