This is a hidden gem. This tavern is tucked away in a strip mall. If I hadn't purposely been looking for a bar in the area, I doubt I would have noticed it. They are predominantly a beer/whiskey place with lots of options. They make a mean smoked old fashioned, that is very reasonably priced. They don't have their own kitchen, but you can order food with them, and it's brought over from the New Orleans restaurant next door. Apparently, they do karaoke and trivia, too. Overall , I love the vibe of this place and will be back.

Such a great atmosphere and awesome service. Delicious cheese curds. Definitely had to enjoy a lovely flight of whiskey. Perfect. Blessed.

Great little neighborhood bar. It has a very hip and trendy aesthetic, is always clean, and the food is surprisingly good. We almost always get the buffalo calamari, however their pizzas, burgers, and fajitas have been excellent as well. The beer selection is great, although they range in price fairly dramatically. We appreciate that it is also one of the few non-smoking bars in the mid-cities, however they do have a very nice patio if your party does. Great date spot.

Neat little, cozy bar. Comprehensive whiskey/whisky selection. Very respectable draft beer selection - maybe 20 taps, wide variety, local brews well represented. Had great service each time I've been, and prices are reasonable. My favorite bar in the Mid-Cities.

Food is from the cajun/new Orleans style restaurant next door and was awesome 👌 great selection of craft beers on tap at Ron's. Got our beers from there and ate next door. Super friendly staff

Exceptional liquor selection we loved having choices of rare and different bottles. Great drink pricing definitely was happy. The only part of the visit to be improved food was lacking definitely need to update the menu and expand good happy time bar food is a staple.

I had a great time here with my wife. I had been here before for the good beer selection, but I didn't even know they did well with cocktails! We tried the "menu" drinks (like Ron's Mule), as well as the more classic stuff like the Old Fashioned, and enjoyed them a lot. This is not an upscale cocktail bar or anything, but we were being served by Paul and he knew how to serve a tasty drink. His recommendations were good, too. It was also a pretty chill atmosphere, at least on the somewhat slow night we visited. I really recommend trying it out, especially considering that there aren't a lot of decent cocktail spots between Ft Worth and Dallas.

Nice atmosphere and a wide selection of exotics. Sombati was playing live. I'd never heard of them, but the music was good so I got a couple of the albums. Good crowd of people there, good conversation.

I had previously been to another Ron's location and expected them to have the same menu's at both locations. They don't. At first my boyfriend and I were very agitated bc their menu had maybe 6 appetizer choices and 6 sandwich choices. I don't remember if there were dessert options or not. But we decided to go ahead and try it anyway. I'm so glad we did. We ordered the fried mushrooms and marinated steak sandwiches. The mushrooms were probably in the top 3 of the best I've ever had. I am pretty sure they dried the mushrooms after rinsing and before battering them. But whatever they did, the result was perfection. They were not dry at all and it brought ought the natural flavors of the mushrooms so I didn't feel like I was just eating fried batter. Now the marinated steak sandwiches come with horseradish but I subbed ranch bc I cannot eat anything remotely spicy. (Note my bf had the horseradish and said it was so good!) The ranch tasted homemade and again the combo of seasoning they used was delicious. Idk what they did to they bun but it was so fresh and soft on the inside with a slight crispness to the crust just like it is supposed to have. The veggies were fresh and actually tasted like veggies and not paper like at some places. Now about the steak?!?!! WOW WOW WOW. Sooo tender! I tasted a piece of it before I tried my sandwich and I would have been happy eating just that by itself. It's been 3 days since we went and my taste buds are still thanking me. And best of all our waiter/bartender was so entertaining. His personality was great and he was so funny. I honestly felt like I was sitting at a friend's house watching the game and my bf tipped him $20 (which was twice the amount of our bill thanks to Groupon) bc he was so good. Cannot wait till we are back in the area to visit again. If you don't visit this place you need your head examined. ***Just a suggestion to whoever is in charge of the menu add some loaded steak fries to your appetizers using that marinated steak and serve with choice of ranch or horseradish***

The Cajun burger was delicious and the patio seating made for a great area to enjoy my meal. Lots of great beer on tap, definite going to stop by again the next time I'm in the area and need a place to eat!

We were looking for a place to call our home base after moving here from Michigan and after many bars we've settled on this cute little place. The staff is awesome and they have so many beers on tap! Do yourself a favor and try one of their award winning old fashioned. Recently they debuted a beer (Oberon) from my home state and had a cool rollout event for it. This place feels like home every time I walk in and we are so thankful to have found this gem

Even if Japanese people who are not good at English went, they welcomed me with good heart. I was there until the store closed, but the waiter woman did a job without any disliked face. Tourists have a hard atmosphere, but when they did, they didn't!

An incredible local pub. Always great craft beers on tap, menu has improved with some good food from Bourbon Street Cafe, and they now have an excellent bourbon selection. A must visit!

I built this place, it was my last construction job of this size, so I enjoyed it and was hoping it would be around for years to come. Lots of good beers, and the owners and staff are top notch, looking forward to seeing the place again when I'm in Texas in 2024

My wife and I love this place! Although recently their menu has changed and not for the better. Used to be great food. No, not so much.

Awesome Place with Awesome People! The prices are reasonable, and the selection of beers are very good. Kenny and Nancy were behind the bar. It felt like a gathering with friends then hanging out at a bar. The other customers helped with that as well. An excellent hangout type bar where you get to know people. I will definitely be returning.

Ron's Corner Tavern was great. It was our first time and it down the street. The drinks were very affordable for the quality. They offer food from the restaurant next door. We didn't get food this time but it smelled good. The service was very kind and knowledgeable. We definitely be back!

Always been a great place to hide away with friends and relax. The drinks are great and they have new food options.....the fried pickles are even better now.

Bartender didn't even acknowledge my presence until she was done with her conversation of a few minutes then asked me if I wanted a menu as she slapped it down in front of and told me to scan the code and walked off. When I tried to ask about the beers that were written in very small hand written torn paper on the taps she once again said I could scan the "menu", this time I walked off.

Had a regular recommend this place to us so we decided to check it out. They have a nice beer selection and a lot of cool old fashioned. They're serving food from bourbon street, the restuarant next door. had the crawfish queso. It was delicious. Big shout out to our bartender, Trevor, for making the experience awesome.

This bar has a nice intimate atmosphere, they make a great Old Fashioned, and their prices are budget friendly. My only suggestion is that they expand and diversify their cocktail menu. They also have an internet jukebox, which is nice. By far better than the depressing bars in the same strip.

The cajun chicken posts was absolutely delicious, but the bread, although tasty, was very small and hard. Overall still a great meal!
