This review is coming from a comparison to the way Drunken Donkey was before Bar Rescue came and changed things.The new Drunken Donkey Lewisville is whack. They got rid of most of the favorite items for the majority of customers I've talked to. Employees are running around distraught because some of them didn't even know about the changes. They ran out of a major entree item 2 hours after opening but didn't mention it until 30 minutes after several customers ordered that item. The new food is good but nothing special. I will say that their new cocktails are tasty but not quite enough to make up for the loss of their fan favorites. I may go from coming here a few times a week to coming once in a great while. Sad to see. At least the colony location is still the same. Note: from what the managers and servers have told me, Drunken Donkey was not in need of rescuing. They told me that Bar Rescue just chooses bars submitted regardless of how well they are doing.

All American style restaurant. They have Wings, Sandwiches, Salads, Soups - and most important a great variety of beers. Their beer selection includes domestic, imports, IPA, Reds, Ambers, Brown, Cyders, etc. I had the Big Turkey Club which size was enough to feed two people. Multiple screens to watch a number of sporting events. Service is quick and friendly. I look forward to coming here to try other beers

What's available for consumption at the bar is always almost as important as who is selling the experience.

We selected this place as it was a bar that was rescued on the TV show and being not familiar with the area. We thought it would be fun. The food and service was outstanding. Unfortunately, they ditched the decor and new name. Went back to the decor before the show. It's a step down and wasn't a good decision. Plenty of wasted floor space and an ugly green wall color. Ah well. With excellent food and service. I can live with it.

Been there twice. Staff is pretty rude. If you’re not a regular they are stand offish. The regulars in there are your typical drunks that insert themselves in your conversation then the staff will back them up. The place seems dead most of the time. The wings are great though. There was this curly haired server who was extremely rude. She acted like she was better than everyone else.

Had a good time. Spent too much $$. Didn't eat, just 4 beers of various sizes times x 2 people was $90 with 15% tip. Service at 8:30pm Saturday was just ok. Clever name is about it. I won't be back. Better places closer to home with much better service.

Always nice! Always clean! If you want a late night dinner b4 1230am. I would definitely recommend the chicken tender and fries with your choice of sauce on the side. You can dine in or carry out.

Service was awesome. I had no issues with the service at all. Out server lost her voice and still was outstanding. She did her very best to get us everything we needed and she was super attentive. Had a great selection of beer. The food was awesome. I had the club and it was fantastic. I highly recommend getting the fries tossed in golden donkey sauce. So tasty really excited for the next visit.

We love and have loved coming here. The environment is inviting and warm - The beer’s in wide variety and cold. They make us feel nothing but taken care of and comfortable every time. 100% fast friendly and awesome service. I definitely would recommend anybody go in there. Good prices. Awesome atmosphere. And you can even sit outside and enjoy yourselves if you wanted. 👍👍👍🤗

A wide variety of beers even though the first three I asked for they were out of. The food was a large portion (enough to split between two). Sports bar atmosphere.

My most recent experience here was the worst time from the other 3 visits. To begin the bartender, who is mentioned in other reviews so I wont say her name, was drunk; She had the attention span and comprehension of a 6 year old. I asked for a beer on tap she gave me a bottle of the beer I asked for in a bottle and opened it because she wasn't paying attention to me telling her that's not what I wanted then on top of that she didn't even give me a glass,. This visit was so horrible i lost my appetite and didn't even order food; their food is great but I hope this night is not a downward trend because if so then call bar rescue back immediately before this type of service becomes the rampant.

Great beer selection and great prices on pints, especially on Mondays. Food is truly scratch kitchen style and their Big 🐎 nachos are amazing with the pulled pork subbed!

Very bad/odd smell… ordered nachos with pulled pork… obviously canned queso and microwave pulled pork(loyds maybe) craft beer was flat and warm out of the tap. Waitress was very nice and attentive.

This place has made me excited to go out to eat again, the wings are my personal favorite always paired with their delicious strawberry margarita, every waitress and bartender has been nothing but kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. Here's to making every other Wednesday a donkey day

What a find. My wife and I stopped into this eatery for a quick lunch after shopping. We were greated with a most friendly waitress who offered great suggestions for lunch. The meal was great. We shared a Philly sandwich was simply delicious. The one thing that I have to comment on is the French fries. absolutely the best I ve had in years. Give this establishment a try. Don't think you'll be disappointed

So inside was a little rough like a bar but we sat outside on some picnic tables. As far a comfort I was good because I was leaning up against the wall but my 3 other friends (all in our late 50’s to early 60’s). Food was good flavor but half the table was very cold. I’d rather been delivered in rounds instead of waiting till it was all done. Fried catfish tasted good but we got two pieces that were REALLY fishy. The chicken fried chicken was really good but sadly cold. We all had drinks and honestly we waited on most stuff. We would have drank/ate more if we we’re waited on more.

Food was extremely good and waitress was very friendly and professional. Will b going back. Loved all the games they were showing as well...

Our server was really great! Very nice and helpful! We came in at 12AM so there was a limited menu but the food was great regardless! Portions were a bit bigger than we expected but reasonably priced.

Anette was our server tonight and she was amazing! She was attentive and apologetic when the kitchen ran out of fish (I had ordered the fish and chips.) Most importantly she connected with our table like an old friend. She forgot my friend's ranch, but he got over it. Lol Seriously, great service!

Amazing food, great beer selection, and good service. Been here many times but finally got the Mediterranean salad with some greens and WOW!

Seated ourselves on the patio, one waitress was serving everyone, it seemed. Took an hour to get our drinks, then they were bad, what bartender doesn’t know how to make an old- fashioned??? Took almost as long to get our food ! Definitely unorganized and slow!! We went to The Colony location. Our group DEFINITELY won’t be back!!

The wings were really soft and juicy and they offer a multitude of different sauces, all 3 different sauces I tried were very delicious kudos to you guys. My only complaint is that the Moscow Mule I ordered was pretty watery and they dont use live ginger in the drink. Other than that, our waitress seemed a bit annoyed by our table, but I will admit that we had lunch with an older couple from my work and im sure we came off as needy. Haha Ill be back

Awesome Place! Brittany served me when I came here, and she has the greatest personality. Food is amazing, beer is Ice Cold, and the atmosphere just plain cool.😎 I recommend to anyone.

All we had were nachos, which were good, but they were actually made with pulled pork. They werent exactly traditional, but the pulled pork was very tasty. The hot sauce was very hot. The Revolver Blood 90 beer was good. The people/servers/mgmt were very friendly.

Food is good. I asked for an extra cup of ranch with my order but I guess they charge an extra 50 cents but I had already run my card. They still didn’t give it to me lmfao. It’s the little things. McDonald’s jr.

Had a great experience at DD today. I feel they had lost their identity when they crossed paths with Bar Rescue but I feel they have restored it. Great food and clean establishment. Try their chip and salsa/queso to begin with.

Great craft beer selection and the service was great. Could probably use a little attention to cleaning the front patio and inside but I would visit again.
