Have used this restaurant as a shuttle to watch my favorite football team when their home a few times. Have always had a pleasant experience and no complaints. We decided to show the restaurant some love after the game and dined in. Of course it was super busy and filled with a fun energetic atmosphere. Good food and stiff drinks!!

Stopped by last Saturday night for my birthday with some friends. I ordered a drink and some food for myself and one of my friends got some food as well. Everything was fine until I got my tab and I was charged for both mine and my friends food. We both told the girl bartending that I wasn't paying for anyone but myself. She said "Well okay, you should have told me that when you ordered it".. well okay, but I'm saying it now. Anyway - I ask her if she can remove it and she tells me I've already been charged for it but she will fix it and when it clears my bank the total will have been adjusted. So I sign my tab and leave. Next couple days, the charge clears my bank and its exactly the same. I made a phone call up there and spoke with a woman who said she would pass my message along to the manager or owner when they came in and I'd get a phone call back. Well it's been almost a week since this happened and about 2 days since I made that phone call and I haven't heard anything. Would have been real nice to have not been lied to and my money stolen but 🤷‍♀️ Also- watch your step on those stairs inside to the patio.They decided to build the steps to where the last one is like 2 or 3 inches off the floor, I twisted my ankle on it that night as well. Only giving more than 1 star because the food was decent.

J. Gilligan's has been an Arlington hallmark for me since the early 1980's. Great bar and grill! And to add to it's credit it has a great shuttle service to the local sports venues. We took the shuttle to Globe Life for Game 1 of the World Series. They have this down stone cold! Park in Arlington by them, $15 each. Dropped us at the South Entrance. Picks up at Stadium/Division behind 7-Eleven. Could not be simpler...

Used their shuttle service to the game with FREE PARKING. Ran like a well oiled machine. Highly recomend

This legendary establishment takes us to the games in City provided shuttle busses. The drivers are City employees. We eat the delicious burger and fries plate before leaving to the game... such a blast.

The Irish nachos are terrific! And they often have live music that's great as well. Hard working staff do their very best to make sure everybody gets what they ask for and are taken care of.

Went here with my friend when we had to a few hours to kill. Sort of a dive bar/sports bar combo feel. Prices were amazing with many beers and shots for less than $7. We had a couple shots and a beer with the total being less than $40. Bartenders were quick and it didn’t take long to flag them down.

I used to love this place. Last three times were meh...okay. Tonight was HORRIBLE. Irish nachos were old and stale. The chicken fried steak was off. Inedible. Tasted like cleaning chemicals. Makes me nervous about the two bites I ate. I don't know what happened but this place has definitely gone downhill

This is a local bar that is understated and lots of fun. I had their Irish Nachos - potatoes instead of nacho chips - and they were amazing. The half order was more than enough with a side of grilled chicken. The staff was friendly too!

First, the hype about the Irish Nachos isn't hype, it's honesty. Should have ordered 2. Great to make a meal out of. The chicken fried steak was really good, Buffalo chicken sandwich was balanced and well cooked, and yummy. Kid's chicken tender meal wasn't messing around, real chicken breasts, great breading. Ever the traditional club sandwich couldn't be beat. Along with the Nachos, order the side of grilled chicken. The side of grilled chicken is seasoned and cut up and worth being a meal, generous and delicious.

Irish Nachos!! The Irish Nachos (made with sliced potatoes in place of chips) were delicious. Cheeseburgers were exceptional as well. Staff was very cordial and professional. My wife told me about this being an exceptional establishment from (way) back in the day. We were in the area and stopped by for lunch. 30 years later, we agree it was an exceptional lunch experience. We'll definitely patronize again.

Claire was our waitress and what a great representation of the place she works. Not only beautiful but good at her job. This place is a locals spot they have shuttles to the stadium during game days and separated bar are with live stage. Food was awesome quick and just as it was ordered. J Gilligan's is a place to go for quick lunch or a night of drinking and listening to local bands.. I would go back anytime.

For Big 12 Championship, we used their free parking & $10/person shuttle. Painless & Awesome! Very well done! So organized. We didn't have to but we had time so we ate a Great breakfast before we shuttled to AT&T stadium and great meal after the game. Great & timely service! Great food! Will definitely go there, if ever in the area again!!

This was the 1st time that I had been to this restaurant. We were going to see ed sheeran, we had dinner there and then caught the shuttle to the stadium for the concert. The food was outstanding for the cost, great service from our waitress. I loved the fact that they offered the shuttle for $10 a person for round trip. I am in a wheelchair and they a lifted me up from my chair and put me in the Van. Everyone is very friendly And I will definitely use this event for future concerts and cowboys games

Irish Nachos were excellent. Cheeseburger was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed our lunchtime visit to this long time Arlington icon. In the heart of UTA, my wife's stomping grounds from her college days and before. I really considered returning the next day for an encore experience. But I exercised some restraint, to save it for another time. The staff was cordial and professional. We will definitely return in hopes of another excellent dining experience.

On my first time here we had the Philly cheesesteak and it was great! Onion rings were fresh and crispy. Took a little more than desired for them to come and take our order. Lots of people there for lunch. We parked on Abram side and we had a hard time finishing our way in. No clear signage that we could see. The place has a pub feel but also feels old.

Had a great time playing trivia then ordered Irish Nachos with hamburger and fried pickle spears. Was pretty disappointed with the food - the nachos were $10.99, the 'side' of hamburger was $4.99. The nachos were alright but the hamburger meat that accompanied it was sad - maybe 1/2 cup of plain hamburger meat. Really? And the pickles were unedible. I think they must have been under the warmer for a few hours - the batter was tough and chewy - not good at all. Plus they were $10. Really? Our server was nice but very hard to catch - my table had to wait quite awhile for a second drink. I think they must have been understaffed and there was no manager in sight. One final note to Gilligan's.... Please, please, please stop using Styrofoam!! Styrofoam is a single use product, which means it will never biodegrade and will continue to pollute our environment for eternity. Plus, it's made up of polystyrene, which is a type of plastic. Polystyrene is made up of a styrene monomer. The styrene monomer is flammable, and can be harmful to our health. There are so many better alternatives that there really is no reason to continue using it. Thanks!

Great food in a fun environment! Chicken fried steak sandwich was killer! Glad we did the upgrades to cheese fries and onion rings. Great service too!

This wasn't their first rodeo! My husband discovered this place on Reddit as we were searching for a shuttle to the AT&T Stadium. It turned out to be spacious and affordable. The food and parking options were very good, and they had a limited menu for the event to ensure quick service. Overall, it was well-organized with friendly drivers and staff, making it an enjoyable experience. The drinks and food were also excellent. I would even go out of my way to visit them again and try their regular menu.

Fun place for our Lamar HS reunion. Great food ( chicken sandwich) and drink (cabernet sauvigion). Great service by our server, Mary ( believe her name was). She even gave me her pen, too! Wished this place was in AZ.

A must-see when visiting Arlington! Great food, beer, and atmosphere, AND they have shuttles going to the stadiums! Went with my sisters and their partners, had a wonderful time. Had Irish Nachos (always a hit), and there was a live Irish band practicing in the next room!

Our waitstaff was impeccable, and the schooners of beer were cheap. The chips were okay and the queso was actually pretty good. The club sandwich hit the spot. My only complaint was that the taco salad was awful. A ridiculously tiny portion for a full priced meal. A few people around me who were eating various other menu items noted how tiny their portions were, as well. All in all, it wasn't a bad time spent there. I'll just know better than to get that menu item if I ever go back.

Stopped for lunch and wasn’t disappointed by the menu selection. Took a little longer for lunch than my group was looking to be out but decent food for the price. Irish nachos came in a cute little skillet and a half order was more than enough food.

Food is better than it has to be for the price. Drinks are reasonable. Sort of a dive with pretty good service. Irish nachos are popular. Burgers and wings are good.

It's a good thing to enjoy your life. When you have the opportunity to see good friends,have great food and a wonderful time seize the moment .this was my first time going to this place and you have to be ready and hungry willing to share and take some home

Nice place. Ok food but it’s not Irish. So I was slightly annoyed. However the hamburger and onion rings made up for it. Onion rings were a bit greasy. But the draft is nice and cold.

We went and hung out there before a Dallas cowboys game. We had to grill chicken sandwich and a hamburger. Both were good. They also have a shuttle from there that takes you to the game and back for $10. Nice service.

We love this place. The staff is friendly and treats you like family. Thr owner Randy is very personable and greets everyone he passes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. My 81 year old mother loves going there when I take her out to lunch.

This place was so badass. First Cowboys game, planning on coming to many more and this is going to be my spot all the time. Food was delicious, place was busy but the servers were on point. Super friendly. Free Parking with shuttle holy cow can’t beat it. Great spot to watch the rest of the games. Dope place
