We always have such a great time and experience when coming to dine here. We were served by Sophia this evening with the help from Kentt for some great wine options. We came to try out this years Restaurant Week menu and we were not disappointed. There were three of us at the table, so we were able to divide and conquer the whole menu this year and get to try everything. The salads, soup, and fish dishes. The espresso cream Brule dish was really outstanding and it really put the sponge cake into the shadows for the sweet part of the menu. Never a bad meal or service at Waters Texas!

This was our first time here and we had high expectations. When we arrived for our 5:45 reservations we realized quickly that the restaurant was too cold for an enjoyable meal. We opted to sitting on the patio whose ambiance was more questionable. Our concerns were quickly put to rest as we started ordering (oysters followed by a salad and the entrees). The food was amazing. Definitely prepared with quality in mind My wife's scallops took the prize. Anyway we would definitely return and the temperature in the lobby was better when we walked back through it otw out.

Came here for my 30th birthday. No special treatment in terms of free dessert or anything, but you don't go to a restaurant owned by Jon Bonnell for that. You go for authentic gumbo and basil cream halibut and lemon icebox cheesecake, all of which were fantastic. The after-dinner coffee was also delicious which it had no business being in an upscale seafood restaurant.

Enjoyed my birthday dinner here. They present you with a happy birthday card and a candle in your dessert. The perfect little touches made it a lovely birthday. The halibut was ohhhh soooo good!! I believe they are called “texasfellar” oysters were the best cooked oyster I’ve ever had!

Super expensive and supposed to be fancy but there are better fancy restaurants in the area for suree. 24 dollar lobster Mac that was bland and not enough cheese or lobster.

We LOVE LOVE The Waters Restaurant! We live downtown and support the local businesses! Our fave at Waters is the Happy Hour Martini, Margarita and Dirty Dozen! We enjoy trying the different oysters each week. So delish! As much as we love the food and drinks, the staff is amazing!! Kalvin, “Kalvin with a K” is the best. He remembers our names, faves, and little details of our lives!

Food was so Fresh, we had Oysters and Shrimp Cocktail. Patio Bar staff was amazingly kind and thoughtful. We wandered in with no reservation. It did not change how they treated us. We were sat at the Patio Bar since the manager asked if we would stay for drinks or food. He offered us a table but it had a reservation an hour later. So we opted for the bar. Did not disappoint. They changed the tv to the NFL draft for my wife and I. They also reminded us we had time to sample the Amazing Happy Hour menu. Price/Value/Ambiance

I think my expectations were too high - I didn’t find the food to be well seasoned past salt and pepper. Out of our spread, the scallops were the best thing we ate. Their old fashioned was also not well balanced - it needed a bit of water to open it up a bit. Overall, I would not return if I was paying for the meal, and if someone else was paying, I may recommend a different place. Perfect for those who don’t require well seasoned food. Their table bread is delicious!

First time there. Food was outstanding! Service was just as good. We were there early, so no wait. Do make reservations and I highly recommend it here. I had a special, prime rib. Cooked to prefection.

What a great evening. Thank you Samantha, thank you cooks, thank you to all the attentive staff. You guys were great. The food is way beyond wonderful. The crab cakes that were more crab than cake. The gumbo!! The card signed by all the staff was the candle on the cake. Thank you again.

We visited for our anniversary. We ourdered a house salad and a lump crab and avocado salad, dirty rice, lobster macaroni, lobster and a 14 oz ribeye. All of the food was good except the dirty rice. The hostess Lydia was great. The waiter was ok. The restaraunt was overhyped by a hotel member where we stayed. For the price I would have preferred Del Frisco, Ruth Chris, or Eddie V's.

Our first experience at Waters and many more to come hopefully. This is our new favorite downtown restaurant in Fort Worth. We celebrated our anniversary here and went to the symphony after. Waters helped contribute in making a memorable evening as special as one could hope.

Came away unimpressed after trying Waters for Christmas Eve dinner. The raw oysters and steak were exceptional. Everything else, from the halibut to the sides to the drinks were average at best. Service in particular was mediocre, with seemingly confused staff the whole time, culminating in food being spilled on us with minor compensation afterwards. Will likely not return.

Our friends had recommended Waters. We were not disappointed in anyway. Our server, Val, was pleasant, accommodating, knowledgeable and very helpful. The “Dirty Dozen” of fresh, chilled oysters on the half shell were excellent. The Red Fish, Crab Cakes, Swordfish (special) all were outstanding. As were the gumbo and fresh grilled asparagus. We would highly recommend Waters. I was raised on the East-end of Long Island and really appreciate fresh, well prepared seafood.

went for happy hour, outside. the food was good, service was good. the staff weren't engaged with customers spent most time talking amongst themselves. it didn't affect experience but was not a wow factor. need to move trash dumpster away from bar area. it smelled. drinks were great. Nice place for tourists

Amazing place from food to service! We had oysters to start and were super fresh and delicious! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the cocktails were on point! And the desserts, don’t miss out! Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful guiding us in making the best menu choices for our table. We even had a visit from the GM Jake to ensure our visit exceeded our expectations, which it did. We will definitely be back soon!

My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. This was our second time here, and it was still as fabulous as I remembered. We chose to sit outside this time, and it was an amazing atmosphere at night; not too hot or cold. The tables are spread far enough apart for an intimate setting. The service was its usual high standard; no surprises there. However, as always, it's about the food, delicious. We started with the Calamari. It was perfectly seasoned and actually crisp without being overcooked. I also started with the Tomato and Fried Goat Cheese Salad. Wife didn't feel courageous, but I liked it. The cheese did have a bit of a gamey taste, but the roasted red pepper vinaigrette balanced it nicely. For the mains, my wife had the Crab Cakes, and they didn't disappoint. They were a decent size with plenty of juicy crab. The cakes were firm and not mushy. She paired it with the Crispy Fries. I loooove fries, you've got to try these. First off, they came out streaming. True fry lovers will get that. Secondly, they didn't need salt or pepper. Whoever the chef was, knew what they were doing; crunchy exterior but soft interior. Two tumbs up. I had the Blackened Scallops. They were seared to a perfect medium. The seasoning wasn't overpowering, but just enough heat not to ruin tasting the actual Scallops. I paired my dish with the old fashioned Haricots Verts. For dessert, we tapped off the night with the Brownie a la mode. It was really good without causing toothaches. It is a fine dining restaurant, but feel free to relax in jeans and a Tshirt. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.

A very nice restaurant. I enjoyed my time here. The atmosphere is awesome. I love all the nautical themes. The bartenders were nice. I had an old fashioned and a honeysuckle daiquiri. Both were good. I loved the oysters Sundance. I will definitely come back again soon to have them.

Waiter Chad was awesome and very accommodating. The lobster Mac and cheese is very delicious but for $22 there were just little pieces of lobster every now and then. My filet mignon was delicious but could have had a little less glaze on it. The menu is very limited. The manager kept coming around to the table next to us to check on them and other tables around us but kept skipping ours which was odd. Didn't seem very professional. The hostesses were awesome and able to bump up our reservation by an hour. All around yummy meal.
