Great place to take a break and refuel when visiting the museums here. The food is pretty amazing for the price and the service is great. The scenery is pretty nice in the cafe. I really like their burgers here even though I resist getting it to try out other different things on the menu. I prefer the modern vs other neighboring restaurants. It’s always a treat to come here for lunch.

Great ambiance, very modern. Enjoyed the food as well despite my salmon being slightly over cooked.

My family recently took me to Cafe Modern on a beautiful Sunday Morning to celebrate my birthday with brunch. This restaurant is relaxing and perfect for family/friends meeting to catch up with each other. The meal began with some scrumptious breakfast breads. I ordered the entree of two eggs any style, which for me is two eggs over medium and that came with crispy potatoes, whole wheat toast and bacon. I also ordered some delicious cold orange juice. Others in my party ordered the Belgian Waffle and the Omelet of the day. Our food was very good and quite filling. Our server was friendly, helpful and gracious. Nice and relaxing atmosphere, good food and Great people to converse with. ⭐Winner in my book.⭐

Arrived at 11 am and basked in the stillness. The bread was outstanding. The French mimosa was also excellent. The quinoa salad and bolognese were a small step above average. We tried the mini pistachio eclair bites with matcha ice cream, the sweet potato creme brulee and the red wine poached pear cobbler with ginger ice cream--each of which was $15. Pro tip--arrive at 11 am because as the restaurant fills up, the noise level goes up

Great venue for a wedding reception! Everyone had a great time, the staff were all super nice, and the vibe was perfect. They have a very large patio as well overlooking a water feature. Will definitely use this place in the future!

What an incredible and pleasant surprise, this dining experience was! How about that view huh!? We dined here prior to attending the movie right next door in the Magnolia, at the Modern. We weren't familiar with their menu prior to attending, and quite honestly, we were not expecting much on choice or quality. I mean come on...it's inside an Art Gallery right? WRONG, so wrong... The choices were many, original, and there is a reason the Chefs name's are placed on that menu! Unbelievable presentation, flavors, and textures. It was nothing like we expected! We ended up ordering the Potato and Leek Soup, Mushroom Risotto, and the Celery Root Agnolotti. Wowsers! What a treat and perfect pairing for our Friday date night! Do yourself a favor and go support your local art scene, and dine like you deserve too.

Went here early December 2021, after hearing Cafe Modern opened up their dinner dining option again. I made a reservation for 2 in advance, and got there a bit early to check out the exhibits before eating. The views were really special, and perfect since I wanted a holiday-related outing 😊 My partner and I ordered the Mezze Platter, Black and White Bucatini, Dan Dan Noodles, and the waitress recommended the Peaches and Cream dessert. All of it was delicious and flavorful. The waiting time was a bit long between each dish, but the view and the food made it worth it.

Very cute place for a brunch spot, fine crafted food which was delicious. Booked a reservation and go seated next to the water- beautiful view. Just took off a star because for us, service took a long time from the time we came in. However when brought up the staff was very sweet and was served right away. Overall experience was very pleasant and would recommend!

Compliments to the chef. Chef Kate and I had a wonderful Sunday brunch at our first visit to Cafe Modern. Not only was breakfast Woburn we also met some a beautiful couple who were dining there. We will definitely be back for more.

Pretty area but wasn't that exciting to me in terms of taste, price and options. The sourdough rolls and butter was excellent.

The food was fine, no real complaints but I wasn’t blown away either. The experience here is the key. You won’t have bad food, so that’s a good start. The coffee is Starbucks which is disappointing. I mean it’s truly a disgrace and perhaps I should actually ding another star because there’s so much good coffee in Fort Worth that supporting a chain like the bucks is embarrassing instead of, oh let’s say Craftwork or Avoca or even dare I say get coffee from a Dallas roaster. Get the Bucks off the menu Modern! The experience feels top in class. The staff is professional and helpful. The seating is elevated and you can sit in a sans-dome semi-rotunda which extends out into the reflecting pool. The glass walls provide a great view all around.

Hearty, flavorful, and peaceful. Great place to dine right after exploring the museum. I didn’t expect much from this place, but I was pleasantly surprised. If I lived in Forth Worth, I would come here somewhat regularly to try out the entire menu. The chef does a good job of combining different cuisines to make a cohesive, delicious dish.

Cafe Modern is exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant in an art museum. Chic & beautiful, the ambiance is incredible. The thing that sets it apart is its price. I'd say this is one of the cheapest fine dining options I've seen in Fort Worth and one of the best in terms of cuisine. My first time in there was rather long wait times but this was probably due to the huge party an organization was throwing inside. Other than that the service was great. The chef and manager are both quite nice. Plus this is the only cafe I know that has a pet duck.

I actually can't recommend this place. Food was a disaster. Not fresh, put together in some weird way. Their soup was a weird mix of a French onion and wonton soup, the dumplings were burnt. The chircken salad was something unrecognizable. I refused to eat that. But the rest wasn't any better. Sandwich gave me an equal heartburn and taste was worse than a $5 subway. Coffee, maybe. But I wouldn't go beyond that here. View is nice though.

Great spot for brunch. Very elegant dining room and a well crafted menu. Even if you're not going to see the art museum, I highly recommend for a nice meal.

My love and I dined at Cafe Modern last night with friends. Excellent experience! Beautiful views, delectable menu, fantastic wine selection! Chef Mora came to our table to deliver our food and explained some of the intricacies of the dishes. We started with the creamy mushroom risotto for the table, and most of our group had the jerk chicken or the seafood plates. Spicy and cooked to perfection! Can’t wait to go back and try something new!

The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. we were with a group and they do not do separate checks so we had to come up with cash from each of us. I would give them five stars but they need to be more accommodating for groups.

Regardless of the museum we have chosen to visit in the district on any trip to Fort Worth, we begin with the Cafe Modern. The variety and quality of the meals offered and the service are outstanding. The cafe is just within the 50 mile range we will drive to treat guests to a special meal in the most appealing surroundings. Combined with the art we then view and other opportunities in the city, we are assured of a full day enjoyed away from home.

Atmosphere was very clean, modern and comfortable. Servi e was very nice, quick and polite packaged in an appropriate amount of professionalism Ms. Clancy did an awesome job. Food was delicious and the menu had just the right amount of selection. Son had the tofu salad and my daughter and I had the turkey sandwich. Mine with kettle chips and my daughter had hers with fries. The fries were just a bit o. The soggy side but the chips were crisp and tasty. Daughter kept taking from my plate... arghhhh!!! Very ni e place to go to as the views through the glass windows were very nice.

The Modern offers a classic brunch, with omletts, quiche, and waffles. I love the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and view of the reflection ponds. Recently, The Modern appears to be getting a lot of attention, and everything about dinning here should make that no surprise.

Rude manager bizarrely chastised me for sitting next to my wife at the table and publicly said I need to move my chair. Well, that would be fine as long as other patrons did the same. And by the way, it was our anniversary and your sad unsmiling face shows up. Get a life. You probably owe me a refund because the food was mediocre at best.
