Great fresh made German food. Not much more to say than that. It is all great. Julie is an awesome server. Some people are put off by the old building and it's appearance. Please do not let this deter you from enjoying this place.

6 sausage plate, Rouladen, German chocolate cake, and black forest cake! Little Germany serves a big portion of super tasty German food. I am stuffed and my taste buds are satisfied. Neither my wife or I were able to eat 1/2 of our meal. We get to eat excellent German food for a few more meals at home this weekend. The staff is very friendly and the service was quick. As another reviewer said, Little Germany is a hidden gem in Fort Worth! If you want to try German food in Forth Worth, check out Little Germany.

Lovely find! Hopefully you get Julie as your server… she was excellent! My husband lived in Germany for several years and he thought that the food was fairly close to authentic. The goulash soup was delicious. Herbed butter was amazing on the potato pancakes. I got the chicken dinner with the “apple ala,” and it was so good! My husband got the combination platter and loved everything on it, especially the red cabbage. Topped everything off with Apple strudel 🤤🤤

Wonderful experience and great food. We were in town for a family emergency. My wife and I desperately needed a home cooked style meal. Everything we tried was great and the wait staff was very patient explaining the menu items. Portions are very large and you'll definitely leave full. Thanks so much!

There was only one other customer when I showed up at 3:45pm on a Friday. Real bavarian drinking songs played in the background. The waitress was very sweet, helpful, and attentive. I was very hungry when I arrived so I bought the combination platter. I could only manage to eat a part of it and ended up taking a whole meal's worth of food in a take-home box. I would give the german food and authenticity rating of a 9 out of 10.

Older place, with choices that were ok... But have had better. Batter on schnitzel was well done, but was not seasoned. Brats were good, red cabbage was good, sauerkraut had a weird wine taste to it, but was ok. The Jager gravy was not seasoned very well but had good consistency. Lots of older crowd eating here, maybe to remind them of being stationed in Europe, but it was not as authentic as the wife and I hoped. I will tell you though... The curry ketchup was actually pretty damn good.

The atmosphere threw me off - it’s in an old Denny’s. But once you eat the food, you won’t care. I would eat this food even if it was being sold out of the back of an El Camino. I grew up eating at Edelweiss, but after eating here tonight I’m disappointed at all the times I could have been eating here. The red cabbage was fresh and crisp, the German potato salad had lovely lumps of soft potatoes, and the beer was dark and delicious. (If you like coffee, I recommend the Warsteiner Dunkel). Don’t bother with appetizers, the portions are huge. Also, ask for Julie. She made our night. If she recommended it, we ate/drank it and it was amazing. The place is clean, the service is friendly and fast, but go for the food.

Very good German food for the money. The establishment is no-frills, but the food speaks for itself! Service was prompt and friendly. The menu had a good collection of German classic dishes, and both the Jägerschnitzel and München sausages dishes we got were very good and generously portioned. Also enjoyed the Potato pancakes. If you're looking for good value for money German food, be sure to check this place out.

My wife and I were so excited to eat here after I conveyed some reviews to her. I called ahead, to make sure they were open and if we needed a reservation. I was greeted on the phone by a very sweet young sounding lady. Found the place easily and it did look like an old Denny's restaurant, which others had stated. Interior was not German, except for a few German flags. Beer was spot on. Cold, right amount of head and appeared fresh. The bread was similar... Cold, but seemed rather stale and even the bread that I would have thought was pumpernickel, was almost completely flavorless. We had the potato pancake appetizer. Two of what I believe we're six pieces seemed okay-ish. Still a bit greasy, but has some decent flavor. Applesauce and sour cream were both good. The other 4 pancakes were greasy and just didn't taste good. Overall 3 out of 10. The good ones were maybe a 6. We ordered the Jägerschnitzel and sausage entrees. Jägerschnitzel is what I use to set a standard for a German restaurant. The batter used to make the Jägerschnitzel was crispy, but wasn't really a good texture, the coating itself didn't taste good and seemed a mismatch flavoring from the meat inside. The meat was thin, which was ok, but it seemed like a small portion, which actually worked out. The Jäger sauce was not sauce, but more like gelatin and had some mushrooms in it. It was not good. We didn't even finish it. That has never happened and we have had many. Jägerschnitzel did not score. 0 out of 10. The sausage platter next. The sausages were actually ok. 8 out of 10. The mustard very tasty. And now for the sides. The red cabbage seemed overcooked and perhaps out of a can. (My wife says it was similar to canned peas. Squishy). The flavoring could have been a 7 out of 10, but with the consistency, it did not score. The sauerkraut was about the same consistency as the red cabbage but had also some ok flavoring. Overall about a 4 out of 10. The potato salad was cold, with some vinegary flavoring and was not worth finishing. The pan fried potatoes were also not appetizing. Both receive no score. No, our waitress, Heidi. She was actually the one that answered the phone prior to our arrival. Very sweet, great attitude and helpful. There were several times when she was just not around for several minutes. Seemed odd. She earned a 10 for her personality. Strike a point for being gone for long periods. Seemed as if she was in the kitchen helping things get out.. dunno? Overall, we have decided we will not being returning. My wife informed me that this restaurant was at another location a few years ago that we had checked out. We didn't like that either. We went once and never returned there either. Disappointed for sure. Heidi is awesome though. Hope they get their kitchen in order and start making some good food. We did think though, it could have been someone other than the normal cook on the Sunday night we went last weeK. But not worth the $100 it cost for this experience to roll the dice again.

I'm always down for some good German food and I've been wanting to try this place out so I stopped in for lunch. Our server was very sweet and attentive and the food portions were much larger than expected. You get a lot of bang for your $$$ here. The sausage sampler was awesome and could have been a meal of its own. The schnitzel breading was very tasty. The gravy was also good, but much lighter than I'm use to. Some German style music playing softly in the background could've contributed to the authenticity of the ambiance in my opinion but that's just me splitting hairs. This was a very enjoyable visit and I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I went here for dinner. I can't believe we didn't know about this place. Almost missed it because it blends into a large strip mall. The decor was (meh) but everything was clean. The staff were delightful - friendly and attentive without hovering. Our waitress was spot on; food came out exactly as ordered and she made great suggestions. But the food...so delicious and such generous portions, i couldn't finish it all. Grabbed a slice of black forest cake to go and it was sinfully good. Worth the extra file miles on the treadmill. Definitely coming back. The food and service ranked 5 stars all the way!

If you have had authentic German food you will be extremely disappointed. Th Jaeger schnitzel was a thin slice of pork with a lot of breading and the mushroom gravy was full of onion watery and no flavor tasted greasy. The red cabbage wasn’t even good tasted sweet and creamy. Could not eat the meal

I was surprised. I'm usually a big spice person, and I was expecting bland. The food was actually very flavorful and delicious. There was one thing that's holding me back on that fifth star; Many of the dishes (soup, gravy, cabbage, and strudel) seemed to have been blessed by a sale on corn starch. They were just all a little bit thick and starchy, but not in a way that tasted too bad. Possibly this is a tactic that allows more hold time in the Kitchen? Did I almost forget to mention friendly attentive service and Generous portions? Good thing my suspenders are strong!

Food was very authentic! The meals we got were extremely tasty, and I highly recommend the pork with mushroom sauce. Best German chocolate cake ever! Though the building is obviously an old Denny’s, the atmosphere had a very German vibe and they were playing German music. The staff were extremely friendly and took great care of us!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Little Germany in Fort Worth, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant is fun and quirky, filled with charming German-themed decor and other unique themes. What truly stood out was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, ensuring that our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. Speaking of the meal, it was absolutely delicious. The goulash was rich and flavorful, a perfect blend of spices and tenderness that left us craving for more. The German sausages were cooked to perfection, offering a delectable combination of flavors and textures that was both satisfying and authentically German. But the star of the show had to be the schnitzel – crispy, golden, and cooked just right, it was a delightful treat that perfectly encapsulated the essence of German culinary excellence. In summary, Little Germany is a gem in Fort Worth that offers not only a taste of authentic German cuisine but also an experience that is warm, welcoming, and utterly satisfying. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in good food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Strictly my opinion, but generally I like sauerkraut and red cabbage both. I've eaten at Other German restaurants before and never had this type of side dish. I even worked in a German/ Russian neighborhood and ate their cooking. The staff was great and the ambiance cute. The meat entrees were very good.

Tasty food, good beer, and great service. Heard about this gem from Fort Worth Foodies, my wife and I love German food so we had to stop by. I had the Hungarian-Style Gulash, noodles were just right, sausage and meat was perfect. The red cabbage was a great side with just the right balance of sour, and the spatzle had the correct consistency. The Paulaner Hefe-Weizen was a great light wheat beer to top it all off. Finished with the German Chocolate Cake, recommend.

Cute restaurant Food was delicious Appetizers fries mushrooms and potato pancakes were fantastic, my mom, brother and I just gobbled it up like pancakes. And we were eating potato pancakes lol My brother drank german beer mug and he liked it. Drank it like if it was regular beer however he was buzzed after drink 1/4 of it lol. Now the food, 😮‍💨😋 Beef ala, I can pronounce the others but man they were so good. I will say I think my meal looked more delicious 🤤 but I cheated on it wen I saw 👀 the dessert 🍮 lol. I’m not going to lie we still ate our meals like champs but had to get a to go box. Had to admit defeat 😅. When she mentioned the dessert 🍮 I couldn’t miss that opportunity lol My crew thought I was nuts but I’m killing that dessert at lunch Germany blackforest cake and pecan coconut cake 🤩

Great food! Don't let appearances keep you from trying this German food gem! It's not much to look at. It's housed in the old Denny's on Camp Bowie. The inside doesn't look a lot different from when it was a Denny's, either. Seems some of the wall paint and art has changed, and there are now kitschy red and white vinyl checkered table cloths on the tables. But you can come here dressed comfortably, kick back with a giant Paulaner, and enjoy some amazing German food. We unfortunately showed up an hour before they closed. It was our first time at Little Germany, we were celebrating a birthday, and we had a list of many dishes we wanted to try. When we saw they'd be closing soon, we took a several entrees off our list, but still ended up with enough food for an army. We had Shaslik, beef ala, Jager and Vienna schnitzel, (on the combination plate which came with two sausages) the six sausage plate - but they also offered us two seasonal sausages, one beer based, the other venison, so it became an eight sausage plate, (we had a total of 10 different sausages adding them all together!) potato pancakes, potato dumplings, pan fried potatoes, red cabbage, Sauerkraut, the (goulash based, I think?) soup, two types of bread, and of course, Spatzle. We took home a piece of chocolate cake and apple strudel, and what felt like 30 pounds of leftovers! All of it was amazing. The highlights, though, were the Shaslik (we ordered it with beef and pork only, no chicken) and especially, the beef ala, neither of which we'd ever had before. I typically do not enjoy red cabbage at other German restaurants (though I like cabbage in general) but I really loved the way it was done at a Little Germany. We felt so bad showing up so close to closing time. We were trying to hurry, and as soon as all our food arrived, I took a few bites and began the huge task of packing everything up to go while my birthday guest continued eating. Our waitress was so kind, and never rushed us at all. She did help me pack up some of the take home items, which we appreciated. I know her and the other couple of staff members did not want to be kept late. We did keep them just a few minutes late and we felt terrible... We are so sorry. We hope our tip made up for it. Anyway, it seemed as though all the food was cooked fresh as we ordered it, and our server was great, and very attentive. Even though we told her from the beginning we were going to be taking a majority of the items home with us, she, and/or the kitchen staff individually plated up every single dish for a nice presentation. Also, they use smattering of older mix-match dishes to serve the food upon, which I think is kind of neat. The prices are extremely reasonable for the serving sizes, and quality of food you receive. We spent a small fortune that night, but we ordered half the menu! We will definitely be returning, repeatedly, and will order the other half of the menu, as well. Maybe just not all at once, and we'll definitely check their hours ahead of time next time. I think Little Germany is superior to the place down the road on the traffic circle, and you don't have to listen to the awful live polka music! Thanks again to the staff that night for making sure we had such a great time. I'll attach a few photos with this review, but I was in a flying hurry taking them, due to the time crunch.... they probably don't do the food justice. Go to Little Germany; you will not regret it.

We came here for my husband's birthday. I'll admit that at first I was a little iffy about it since it's an old Denny's building and the prices seemed a bit high, but the food was good and the portions massive. We ended up taking enough leftovers home for at least a couple of meals. The staff were great and extremely helpful.

We had so much delicious food here when we visited the other day, I'm glad I finally got to visit the new location! I can't remember the name of our waitress but she was super nice and answered all our questions thoroughly.

Plenty of German beer and sausage started the extravaganza. The schweinshaxe is tradition German beer hall food and was done well. The skin was crispy and the meat tender. The serving was over 4 lbs! The schnitzel seemed to get more delicious the longer the flavor lingered on the pallet. Well done!!
