It's a very nice relaxing place. They have fresh flowers on every table. The entire place is really clean including the restrooms. They have a 1 page menu with a few happy hour half price choices too. We started with pork and shrimp egg rolls and a bottle of red wine since they were half price for happy hour. We then ordered the kung pao chicken, steamed jasmine rice, green beans and duck fried rice. It was a nice amount for 2 people with a little left to take home. We decided to order the chrysthamum custard to eat there and a piece of the chocolate cake to go. Everything was delicious and our waitress, Valerie, was awesome!

Go for the wall paper, stay for the food. That is what I tell people. Cannon is a renovated home and the wall paper decorating their dining area is gorgeous. But obviously the food is why you’re there and it does not disappoint. They have the best happy hour menu, too. Our faves are the scallion pancakes and the mushrooms in soy paper. Also don’t miss the Effen Bob Barker.

The hot and sour soup was definitely not hot and sour soup, should be name something else, and the Beef Chow Fun dish was lacking in flavor. However their egg rolls were delicious and hit the mark, they are slightly different than traditional and much spicier in a good way. The scallion pancake is something ive never had before and so yummy, glad i got the bang-bang chicken. I ate every bite. The dumplings were also tasty, albeit, they were a little more dense than traditional dumplings. The service was quick and friendly, but they do give you a hard time with substitutions. My husband prefers beef over chicken. The decor was very cute, absolutely enjoyed the house and space. Check in if its your first visit for a tasty treat.

THE BEST FOOD! The staff is always super sweet and their food is unlike anything I’ve ever had! It’s so amazing. Anything you get is great! They also have a great selection of alcoholic drinks, they do things I’ve never heard of and it’s so tasty! All in all a great place to eat and hang out for a date or a night with the family

The food was amazing and very in traditional Chinese style. There were sharable plates fed our group of 5 well and personal plates that acted like appetizers in our case. They weren't super expensive so getting multiple personal plates could serve as a meal for one. Really enjoyed the dumplings and the sauce they gave. Service was great and or server gave good suggestions and explained how they served food there and what options we had. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

Cannon is a wonderful, modern twist on family style traditional Chinese food. The food is good, and the atmosphere is definitely fun. Situated inside an old renovated historic Fort Worth South Side home. The service, drinks, and menus are top notch. There is also a nice patio outside. One of our favorite places near downtown.

The decor is very nice and the head person in charge was able to get us a table even tho we didnt have a reservation. Love that the service was really good...so heres where I struggled...the execution of the food was solid but some of the creative attempts to breath life into certain tradational chinese dishes sort of fell flat. The rainbow trout was really good, shrimp toast was ok but nothing to sing about the sausage fried rice lacked life, the penna cotta looked amazing but Lacked the wow factor. When I hear fusion I set the bar high but none of the dishes beyond the fish and orange chicken really made me feel like I was experiencing something new and refreshing... Would I trade this food selection for a 25 buck special with fried rice , wings and a soda possibly not...somethings things either work or dont mess with the classics.. The ribs sucked baddddd....wow...

Not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere is so calm and makes you feel like a real hole in the wall restaurant. Overall a gem hidden away from the hustle and bustle from the city. I love going with friends and ordering a few appetizers, a main meal, and some vegetables and sharing among the table. It really brings family style to the restaurant atmosphere. I am saddened this restaurant is closing soon and am looking forward to enjoying the dumplings and special oil sauce with the rice one last time. Hope once this pandemic is over the staffing is available to revive this wonderful place.
