I've always heard good things about this restaurant and people have recommended it multiple times. The presentation of the food was the best thing about this place it all looked so good but it's sad to say that wasn't the result we ordered the catfish and shrimp platter was so stoked when it came out but the shrimp ended up tasting kind of rubbery IMO as well as the catfish just wasn't the best especially for the price of the food , I'd say if the food was a bit cheaper then it probably give it a 3 star. My favorite thing we had was the appetizer blue cheese and chips it was good but the price again didn't seem to match the amount/quality of food but again the presentation they look super delicious and mouth watering, my girls favorite dish their was the coleslaw she said it was delicious but I'm not a big Cole slaw person so I'll have to agree w her on it. The atmosphere of the place was not good we were there about an hour and we did not see one single employee smile everyone their seemed to not enjoy their job from the hostess, bar , waiters and the staff handling the food. I'm not saying I will not give this another go in the future but as of right now I'd just rate it a 2 star overall if we base it off the presentation itself of the food I'd give it a 4. Definitely try it out and make your own opinion I can't speak for everyone as well as people do have off/bad days and maybe this was just one here.

We had the best first experience that we could have had at Tricky Fish, our server Bailey was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us pick the best appetizer and entrees to fit our specific tastes... all to be topped off with an AMAZING dessert. I would come back for the French Toast Sundae alone. The Sausage and Chicken Basil Pesto Pasta was creamy and filling (definitely enough food for two servings). The Tricky Salmon with Dirty Rice and Crawfish Etouffee paired perfectly with the fried Okra, which we were extremely surprised with. The Calamari starter had the fried Okra, and fried banana peppers... perfect additions to the already great appetizer. We will be back soon!

At first it wasn’t looking good. Sat there awhile. The manager noticed and got someone to help us out. The food was very good. Fried green tomato’s were good as well as the peel and eat shrimp. I got the fish and chips. It was very good. Very large portion so either bring your appetite or share. My cocktail was the old fashion. It was good and made well. We will be back for sure

It was a really great experience. Nice atmosphere, very casual. We really like the bar. The team. They are always nice, always friendly and always make the best drinks. The menu items are really good, it's not just tacos, not just fish, they have all sorts of great foods. We ordered the Thai chicken wings and the boil and peel shrimp for appetizers. They were really good, especially the Thai chicken wings, they were sweet and hot, we will definitely be ordering those again . For the entree we ordered the cheeseburger and the fish and chips. The cheeseburger was wonderful. We had everything on it, we do highly recommend it. The fish and chips were nice. Not too greasy. We substitute the fries for mac and cheese which was a nice touch. Would we recommend this place, of course we do. High marks on food service and team.

Good food and good service. There are great options on the menu. The red fish was terrific, as was the macaroni and cheese. My entire party enjoyed their food. The old fashioned was very tasty. Can't wait to try the desserts next time.

Destiny is a great server, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and very willing to make sure our whole experience was memorable. We ordered the calamari which was absolutely perfect. The crunch and the freshness and the balance of crunch and flavor was excellent. They fried Banana peppers!!!! That was a game changer because it was a nice balance heat and because it was fried made sure it didn't get the calamari soggy. It had a few fried okra in it. ....Let's talk for a second... I used to pick okra and I hated it...the okra they made...I was eating it like McDonald's fries, I forever changed 🤣🤣🤣. We ordered the PO boys ( one catfish and the other one oysters) the way they balance flavor is so great to see in a restaurant today. The atmosphere was comfortable and Brad the supervisor stopped by to make sure we were satisfied and the staff was very attentive. We will be back soon to try the rest of the menu.

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I with our 15th month old went here for dinner and we had Peter for our server. Probably some of the best service we’ve had as a family especially at a seafood restaurant in Fort Worth. The food was absolutely fantastic and very well priced. Plus they have an amazing Firemans four light on draft which is pretty hard to find. Highly recommend coming here for a family date night or even some cocktails. Also, the seafood is pretty amazing for being in the panhandle of Texas.

We had been looking for seafood and my wife found Tricky Fish. The food was wonderful. The peel and eat shrimp were huge. Darn near could make a meal out of them. You select the type of seafood you want and then there is a choice six main sides. My wife choose shrimp on ouzo. I had a special blackened grouper with a carrots and fried potatoes. The drinks were great. Dessert had to have the French Toast Sundae. It was great.

Absolutely delicious, I order fish and shrimp and I must say it was perfect… the person who greeted me wasn’t that friendly and she seemed annoyed that I asked her what would she recommend; however the food was great.

What a nice place. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are wonderful. My friend took me here to grab a bite and let me tell you, I was very pleased. Michael, our waiter, was awesome! He was attentive and offered options he felt were great! I can't remember the bartender's name, but she knew my friend's drink order by heart, which let's me know my friend is a regular 😊. She, too, was very attentive paying attention to drink levels and being ready to take another order when she was ready. We ordered the calamari, chips and queso, and the Grilled Thai wings with ginger peanut slaw, which was the WINNER of the night! I ordered my husband the fish and chips to go, and although I lived 45 minutes away, a pop into the air fryer revived the meal back to its original state, and he enjoyed it.

Ive been to Tricky Fish twice and if you love fried shrimp this place is hard to beat. The food & drink menu is really good and the service has been very good once and a bit slow once, but the food made it worth it. I am a seafood lover and plan to return. The atmosphere is more towards the louder young crowd, with a large round bar, than a conservative one. I love stopping by Whole Foods then eating here. Recommended.

The fish tacos are awesome. They go good with the Community IPA on draft. My girlfriend's sister got the fish and chips and it looks delicious! I need to go back soon and explore the menu. Staff is helpful and the restrooms are clean. That says a lot about the kitchen's cleanliness. I'll definitely be back soon!

Been there twice now and will not go back. Both were at lunch late around 1:30 so not busy. First time sat at the bar and the bartender/waitress across from me had her back to me talking to two men. Another employee came by and asked me tif I need something I said yes I wanted to order he got her attention she turned around and gave me a menu. I ordered six oysters on the half shell and when I got them I was astonished. All six of these wood not fill a shot glass! They advertise their food is from the Gulf, I asked her where these were from she did not know. Second time there I ordered three blackened shrimp tacos. I like spicy foods but there's a difference between spicy and hot every good chef knows this. You enjoy spicy foods you get the flavors and you just want to keep chewing, every bite of these tacos my mouth was on fire I was doing nothing but reaching for water I couldn't taste the damn thing. I ate one and two bites of another got my check and left. My mouth was on fire and my lips were burning. This was my experience judge for yourself.

We celebrated my birthday at Tricky Fish this week. We arrived very early to enjoy drinks at Happy Hour prices. The Margaritas were terrible, very sour. We added Splenda to make them palatable. Sangria was ok but nothing special. Wine was good. My salmon with a side of Etoufee was cooked just right and tasty. Hubby's filet of rainbow trout was full of bones. Needless to say he was not impressed on his first visit. The waitresses was attentive and friendly. They even gave me a birthday card with a $10 coupon enclosed. I will probably go back for lunch without my husband, lol

Husband randomly chose this place to meet with family for his birthday, he lucked out & it was a great meal. Servers were quick & friendly, but not chatty or overly present. Food was good, & atmosphere was fun. Music was loud, but I liked it... so not a problem. Okra was a big hit around the table, fried green tomatoes were done very well, trout was good. Drink menu looked interesting, but I did not imbibe. We will be back to try brunch!

I asked my baby girl who is now approaching her mid 40s. Where do you want to have your birthday diner at. She chose Tricky Fish. We had the calamari appetizer. Then the fish and chips main coarse. Everything was cooked to perfection. The portions were large. We neither one had room for dessert. The waiter asked if we needed anything else. My answer was a wake call in 45 minutes.

The Young man’s Edwin hospitality is the best opening up the door for customers is a plus for me. You don’t get that type of service at many restaurants and Jack the server was the best I’ve had y’all have great food and fast service. This will be my go to on occasion. I’m just lost for words on how marvelous the service is!!!!!!
