This place has open kitchen concept which I loved with a lot of windows for sunlight. Staff is very friendly, I thought I soup was great and liked my main dish, but I did think chicken was bit dry. Thing that's different about this place is that you decide the price of your food, and its an none profit. So you can pay only whatever you can afford, whatever you think it cost and if you can spare little extra. I really love the concept of this restaurant SO much, and didn't know until I was paying that there was some homeless people eating around us. I will support this however I can.

This place exists to literally serve the community, and we should all eat there. It's pay what you can model is a beautiful thing. All walks of life sitting together enjoying a well prepared meal, ordered off a well crafted seasonal menu that caters to all pallets. We had the pumpkin curry, musroom burger, and chicken salad sandwich for lunch on the fall menu and they were all so good. The pumpkin curry was rich and creamy, the chicken salad sandwich was crisp and filled with a great portion of chicken salad. The burger was cooked to perfection and served with these salted crisped potatoes that were crunchy and enjoyable. Shout out to the chefs/cooks learning and volunteering you all are amazing!

I live in DFW and had not even heard of Taste Community resturant until yesterday when my son took me. How could I live and work here and not know about this place! Now, it is my goal to spread the word! The food was so delicious and the presentation was 5 star! I can truly see why they are in Yelps top 100 list for the past 3 years! I will be back and I will be bringing friends who have a generous heart who can also give to this community and purpose! I would love to come and volunteer as well! Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! Just phenomenal!

Fantastic mostly heart healthy foods. I got the citrus salad and sweet potato risotto. Make sure to pay it forward if you can!

This restaurant is one of it's kind. Been to plenty of restaurants in my life, and this happens to be the first restaurant which lets you pay whatever you think will they deserve. The restaurant looks so neat, and the staffs are so friendly. You might observe plenty of homeless people, but, the quality of food is not compromised because they give a lot of free foods. I was slightly disappointed because the online menu had plenty of vegan options but they're available only during the weekends. I tasted a caprese sandwich and a s'mores. They were absolutely delicious!

The breakfast was amazing. The website said reservations needed but I walked up and waited maybe 10 minutes and got seated at the “community” table. I would go again for lunch or dinner. Everyone was so nice and the place was clean and well lit.

It was still early morning and we were looking for a place that was open to eat while on our way back home. Happened upon this place while searching what was open on Google. All the photos of the food looked amazing and way better than early morning fast food. So we decided to take a chance and stop by. Staff were all very friendly and wonderful. From what we were told all staff but a few chef's are volunteers. Most the chef's are there as a apprenticeship as well as a way to learn and grow their skill while also helping to serve their community. The food was simply amazing. We have began spreading the word about this place to coworkers, friends, and family. The atmosphere was so unique and the whole experience here was amazing. I hope to have a reason to drive through Texas again just to come here.

What an amazing concept!! The food was incredible as well! Volunteer service, the cooks are all working towards a culinary degree, and the meals are as expensive as you can afford. I'm definitely going to have to volunteer here.

Everyone was a volunteer, the food is prepared by professional chefs and chefs in training, and the facility is inviting. We were able to walk in at the time but I think they preferred reservations. The menu changes between from morning entrees to evening entrees. The food is delicious. The food is unaltered from the menu and it is unnecessary anyways. The cost is by donations. WORTH IT! A great cause to support!

Updated.. New menu as of 03 / 14 / 23.... Potato leek soup was amazing. As was seafood pasta and the dessert. There is a reason why the place is so popular. Older review.... Great place. Most people working there are volunteers. The restaurant is very nice and a welcoming place. The menu changes seasonal. A nice variety as well and every looked good and taste great. You pay when you can which is great for the people in need. More fortunate people like me can go have a delicous meal and pay a little extra to support the wonderful concept.

A wonderful place to eat!! The food is delicious, healthy ,fancy and fun!! The waitstaff are all volunteers and all very kind and helpful! This is our 2nd Mother's Day in a row to eat there. Great atmosphere. Child friendly and chic/trendy at the same time! Soup , salads, sandwiches, omelets, hamburger, eggs, sausage, crisp potatoes, yogurt parfaits, and so much more. Their menu changes every 3 months. So there is always something new and exciting to try!!!! We love this place and the commitment to providing a fabulous dining experience for every single person who walks in their doors, no matter how much or how little they have in their wallet!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Such a great place for our community. There's no prices on the menu's. Pay what you'd normally pay, pay extra, or pay nothing. It's up to you.

One of the more unique foodie stops I've made, this pay-what-you-can-afford restaurant serves the entire community whether you are houseless and don't have a dime to your name, or you are a white collar professional making over six figures. The model only works with community support, and it shows when you go in that this faith-based establishment very much has the support and patronage of the wider Fort Worth community! The food here is prepared by culinary students who come from low-income backgrounds and are led by a head professional chef, making a seasonally rotating and delicious selection of healthy, wholesome foods. The serving and kitchen staff are all volunteers, putting their time and sweat into keeping this beautiful project going. They have a community garden, also tended by volunteers, that supplies many of the ingredients they put in their dishes so much of the food is locally sourced. Every time I'm in Fort Worth I stop by, and as a former volunteer myself, I would highly recommend anyone in Fort Worth, resident or passing through, stops by to check out this fine restaurant! 5/5 will be back

For Heaven's sake! Should be their motto. It's a restaurant that cares about your soul as well as your stomach. Came in for lunch, for what I thought was after the lunch-rush...NOT! The place was slammed, so I stood near the drink bar and had an entertaining conversation with Bill the Bar Keep. Everyone from the hostess (never got her name) to the servers (mine was Jane) and cooks were genuinely happy and ready to please the customers. One of the co-founders, Julie, was there...keeping the machine oiled. I ordered the Pozole Rojo, which is on par (if not better than), with my Mexican mom's pozole. For dessert, I had a cup of REALLY strong coffee and the bread pudding. It was amazing delightful, and not stuffed with crazy amounts of dried fruits, just enough dried cherries to add a little sweetness. I'm definitely coming back and bringing friends, too!

Not only is the concept commendable but the food is amazing. I stopped in and tried the Tuscan chicken & berry crumble. Both were crazy good. I'd go back anytime I'm in Fort Worth.

Excellent! I love eating here. (Note: the menu is very limited; and changes each quarter.) It doesn't matter what you order. It's always tasty and delicious. It is a rather eclectic menu. It is gourmet food simply at its best. There are salads, sandwiches - but don't expect anything boring or typical. The entrees are delightful with even a vegan option. Don't forget dessert. There's usually two choices, and a hard decision. Know that the menu has no prices. (If I had to complain about anything, it would be two things. Service is slower, so it might take longer than an hour if you are limited on time. And two, having to figure out the ticket. Each food and drink item has blanks for you to fill in what you think each item is worth. I don't want to interrupt my satisfaction and enjoyment of lunch having to do intricate math - - and I love math. I usually put a total on the bottom.) You pay what you think it is worth; but keep in mind that anything over the cost of the meal goes to help the homeless. It was started as a project of love to help the homeless to good food and by treating them with dignity. They employ some and they also allow them to eat for free - - so be generous. Also, don't let that scare you or put you off because you are uncomfortable about being near the homeless. There are always so many patrons, reservations are highly encouraged, you might see one or two homeless but it isn't an issue. You will feel good about it. The restaurant has a rustic modern flair. It is comfortable and clean. And even though there are hard surfaces, you can hear what others in your party are saying. It is a great place to visit. You won't regret it. Parking is on the side streets.

Another fantastic meal! It's amazing that these young people are learning and cooking culinary delights for the community. The winter vegetables were my favorite. The spices were perfect. Thank you

SUCH A WONDERFUL CONCEPT HERE - I LOVE THAT MONEY IS NOT THE MAIN FOCUS, BUT BUILDING THEIR COMMUNITY AND GIVING BACK. WE ORDERED THEIR RICOTTA CITRUS TOAST (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), SUNRISE SPECIAL AND YOGURT PARFAITS. RICOTTA CITRUS TOAST 5/5 WHAT A UNIQUE WAY OF HAVING TOAST AND FRUITS FOR BREAKFAST! I WOULD HONESTLY NEVER ORDER THIS IN MY LIFE, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. OUR WONDERFUL SERVER MARY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED US THIS DISH & ITS THE BEST DANG THING IVE EVER HAD FOR BREAKFAST! ITS GOT FRESH SLICED ORANGES AND GRAPEFRUITE (BRULEED, OMG!) WITH POMOGRANITE SEEDS AND CRUSHED PISTACHIOS! MUST TRY!! SUNRISE BREAKFAST 5/5 - 2 EGGS (ANY STYLE) WITH FRESH BACON AND THEIR FAMOUS HOUSECRISPY POTATOES! WHAT A HEART WARMING EXPERIENCE KNOWING OUR MONEY IS GOING FAR BEYOND JUST PAYING THE BILL. THE CONCEPT HERE IS HELPING THOSE IN NEED WITH CULINARY SCHOOLING, TUITION, EXPERIENCE, COMMUNITY SERVICE & MORE! THERE IS NO REAL "BILL" OR TIPPING - INSTEAD, DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED WITH GRATUITY KEPT IN MIND FOR THE DONATION AMOUNT AS WELL. WE KNOW THIS PLACE WILL CONTINUE TO THRIVE AND GROW - THEYRE IN THE WORKS OF OPENING A LOCATION IN ARLINGTON, TEXAS!

Today, the Lord put it on our hearts to check out this restaurant after a disastrous attempt to eat breakfast at a neighborhood cafe. We could not have had a more meaningful experience than to enjoy a delicious meal with a concept that truly touched our hearts. This “community project” left us with our hearts (and bellies) full and feeling blessed. We cannot wait to return and introduce others to this amazing concept and dining experience.

I was very excited to stop in for lunch. I had been anticipating the new menu. I was really really impressed with the Chicken Milanese and also the shaved carrot and beet salad. The upside down cake was my choice of dessert. I think the cake would be better warmer mines was cold to the touch like it had been previously refrigerated and thawed out to serve upon request. My lunch date had the Lamb Kofta burger and the crispy potatoes. And a side of fresh fruit. Which was done perfectly. I love this place I can't get enough of it. From the time you enter you're appreciated and everyone seems to be in perfect harmony. I tell anyone and everyone in the community who wants a healthy wholesome experience to please stop by you will not be disappointed.
