We’ve been coming to the restaurant for over 20 years and quit a few years after the original owner left this earth and due to life events it’s been a while since we’ve eaten here. . All I can say is you need to put this one on your list. The food was outstanding and we all tried different margaritas and all were superior. We will be adding this one back into our regular restaurant visits. YOU NEED TO EAT HERE. And, the staff is outstanding. ♥️

This is a little slice of home. The food is on point, nice and quiet atmosphere for a Thursday dinner. Everything tasted fantastic, from the chicken fajita nacho appetizer to the rice and beans or the margaritas ! This place is my new favorite place in FW when I feel like eating some authentic Tex-Mex food.

We got there at 7:30pm there wasn't much people, all of a sudden people started to get there after us and it got full. Every other person that came after us got their plate before us and finish before we even got our plate we ended up getting our food till 8:50pm. So if you're Hispanic or Latino, this place is not for you. They take care of all the white folks before they get to you. This is an embarrassment of "Mexican" food. Go to Pacos Mexican cuisine, Abuelos or Molcajetes before you give this place a shot.

We enjoyed this restaurant. We visited on a Thursday evening and it wasn't very busy. Service was good and so was the food.

BEST SALSA EVER! Food was wonderful! Excellent service, and the owner even came by to check on our table. I was very impressed all the way around. If you're not taking your family or your date here, you're really missing out on something great. I feel like La Familia may be a hidden gem because there weren't a ton of diners tonight, which seems weird for a Saturday. I hope this post helps spread the word, though, because DANG they've got some great food! Highly recommend anything including their beef fajitas. 10/10 all the stars.

Loved the PATA GRANDES! Perfectly cooked and the meat fell right off the bone. The presentation was super fun also as they lit it on fire by the table! The flavor was incredible and I think this will be my go to dish when I go now! The salsa was great and our server was very attentive to us. The manager or owner one (a beautiful lady) stopped by to ask how I liked my food and I told her I felt that I should hug them it was so good lol.

From the outside doesnt look like much but once you go inside it looks pretty awesome. The staff was great, our server, Micheal was very helpful and attentive the whole time. Was also able to get a very good Vegan meal, which brings me to the food, amazing! Will definitely come again and bring friends

Staff is very nice, food is excellent for the price. The flaming margarita is a fun treat with any enchiladas. Surprisingly spacious and walkable to all the fun on 7th street. Great go-to lunch spot.

Ordered a take out order for 60 people. Veggie and chicken fajitas along with chips and salsa, guacamole, cheese and both flour and corn tortillas and refried beans. Oscar was our contact person. Great job communicating with us on what we were getting with the order and they even went out of their way to make us vegan refried beans, we had a lot of vegetarians at the gathering. We had plenty of everything and the food was awesome. Great prices, much better than any of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. If you are having a big party, this is a great choice. Has been our favorite Mexican restaurant for a while and always exceeds our expectations. Absolutely the best chips and salsa anywhere!!

Wonderful restaurant! The waiters were polite and very quick to offer us chips and water, and the menus were already at our table. The food was absolutely delicious, and came very quick. The atmosphere was beautiful. The prices were affordable. All around a good place to be.

+ great menu selection, prices + great atmosphere, decor, music + excellent service + delicious salsa & chips + didn’t even have to ask for water, it came as soon as we were seated + super quick to offer small cups of delicious vegetable soup + food was so quick and piping hot, delicious! Generous portions + didn’t even have to ask for refills, they were there before we realized they were needed. Didn’t want to drink water because it meant I had to stop eating!

My friends and I met here on a Friday after work and had a wonderful experience. Sr. Pedro was so friendly and patient with us, and when I ordered some refreshments for us, Sr. Oscar personally delivered them and helped us toast. The atmosphere was extremely laid back and all the staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Getting to see their fur baby as we were leaving was a bonus! We will definitely be returning!

Fantastic restaurant! The waiters were courteous and prompt in bringing us chips and drinks, and the menus were already at our table. The dinner was really wonderful and arrived promptly. The atmosphere was lovely. The prices were reasonable. It's a nice spot to be all around.

The salsa that came with the chips was really good. We got the sizzling fajitas for two and the meat was great. The onions could’ve used a little more time. The rice and beans seemed store bought, which is typical for any Mexican restaurant nowadays. But there wasn’t anything that stuck out for me to give this place 5 stars. I’d return, just not as often.

Great tasting food. Festive entertainment. Quick service. Pricy but now everything is. Parking is limited. Hard to find parking at weekends. Yes you have to pay for parking. They will tow you. Steaks are tender and flavorful.

Oscar at La Familia is awesome. Very friendly and patient. Would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a bite to eat, and 10/10 recommend the salsa, so fresh, and so delicious! I am embarrassed to admit how much I ate. 🤤

The food was really good and I enjoyed my sangria margarita. That drink really had a kick! I highly recommend that one. Also the chips and Salas was phenomenal!!!

Very good, flaming fajitas weren’t flaming literally like I’ve seen, but they were so good. Great margarita. The spicy one is VERY spicy they mean business. Service was great throughout and we didn’t feel rushed..even close to closing time. Thank you! Will return

Cheddar cheese in the enchiladas. Street tacos were super full of grease. Everything on the bland side. Way more tex than mex. Almost no mex.

Not real Mexican food. Fajitas are Tex Mex, not Mexican. Not authentic. Their food is good and the atmosphere is on par.

  • 1/5 Samantha G. 1 year ago on Google
This tex mex food is not good at all. Super bland and unseasoned and the service also is super slow. The nachos were weird and the cheese wasn’t even melted. If you want decent Mexican food maestro tacos is down the road.

I think google maps needs, 8 stars. More options to voice my opinion, I've gone twice to this location and sadly. I can get better food at taco cabana, I know. Since covid crapped on everything. The old staff is no longer employed

Excellent food. Some of the best salsa I've had. They have new customers in us.

I dashed here today they greeted me the Restaurant smelled really good. It was the extremely long wait for me and the fact that the waiter never offered me A Drink nor chips and salsa I sat in this RR at least 30-45 mins do to technically difficulties with Dash and my tip was not even worth me waiting that long. I don’t think I’ll jump on dashes from here anymore. Either the rr should tip for the long wait or something because only I took a Lost today.

Immediately met by someone to seat us as we walked in. Very Friendly staff, great food served hot and delicious, The chips and salsa were amazing! We were from out-if-town and just happened to pick this restaurant and we were NOT disappointed! Should we ever make it back to Ft. Worth, this will be our 1st stop!!

My husband and I had our 1st experience today and shared the 3 enchilada plate. You can mix the types. Beef or chicken and the sauces. Cheese, chili con carne, green tomatillo or sour cream. I had a Swirl that was delightful. Our waiter Oscar gave us great service. We will definitely return.
