Out of all of the unique places we've been in the Dallas area, this was by far the best place! We had 6 kids with us and every age group absolutely had the best time. We also absolutely enjoyed ourselves! The garlic mashed potatoes were out of this world along with all the other food! The kids had their pictures drawn and had the best time getting all the characters signatures! All around amazing experience and we will be back! Thank you and we will definitely be back! Memories like this are irreplaceable!

We had a wonderful time visiting! We came for a birthday and the characters even sang happy birthday to us. The drinks were tasty and the food was really good too. Come EARLY because it fills up quickly. The staff was extremely friendly and we loved our character. The magician was hilarious as well. Can't wait to visit again! The only con is children running around without supervision, we almost ran over some :/ it was worth the wait though!

We had a BLAST at the Magic Time Machine, the place has booths decorated in many different ways, the servers are dressed as Characters our waitress was super nice, the food had a VERY Good taste. The balloon guy was Super funny I think he was my favorite part 😂 but my 4year old loved it all even the magic guy upstairs. We will definitely return we live about an hr. and half and it was worth the drive.

Always a fun place to come for a celebratory dinner! Yes, it’s a little rundown and dingy, a little dark, a little humid, the menu is a little small and outdated, however it’s SUPER FUN! The whole is definitely more than sum of its parts!! We’ve been coming here for years, and tonight was my daughter’s last night at home before she goes off to college. We had to wait a bit for a table due to short staffing, however, our server (Disgust from Inside Out) was excellent! She kept up her witty banter with both my wife and I and our group of teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with her! Unfortunately, there have been a few Covid casualties, including the upstairs area, where there used to be a cool bar and a fun seating area that resembled a jail. The good news is that the salad bar/car is now re-opened and is excellent. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.

The food was decent; the bartender was horrid. We ordered captain and diet , because I’m diabetic. She gave us So Co and diet. Unfortunately not the same even if she insisted it was and that is what they give when someone asks for it. One is rum… one is whiskey. Huge difference. EVERY surface is dirty and sticky. My arms stuck to the wood tables! After waiting an hour and a half for a table, the waiter dressed as Barbie was great and saved the night. The magician named Mike was great as well. The kids are just too annoying. They need to be controlled by parents. Please don’t bring your children here and think it’sa play ground. Kids running and screaming everywhere. The blue drink was really sweet. My blood sugar sky rocketed. That’s my fault I tried asking questions but no one seemed to know the answers. I’ve been there. I don’t think I need to go back. By the way no music at the bar and the bartender handed my wife’s credit card to another person! Yikes!

The have taken down the salad bar but still offer salads with all plates, the potions are none refillable but very fun for kids we also tried the adult "potions" tequila and it was good. Food was fast and delicious. Waiters were fun and you're still allowed to walk around. Celebrated my nieces birthday and had a good time.

Incredible experience!!! We sat in Jack Sparrow’s section, and he was terrific! He was so attentive, so fun, completely embodied the experience, and made everyone comfortable. We laughed harder than we have in a LONG time! My little girl had a hard time once she woke up from her nap, and he was on it! Had her feeling better and smiling and laughing in mere seconds! I am so grateful for a great night, and it was so thanks to him and his kindness! I Highly highly recommend!

We took our 5 year old here yesterday and I’m so glad we did! Definitely get here early. This is one of those places where as my mother would say. “The early bird catches the worm.” We got here about 5:15 and waited about 5-10 mins. When we left at 6:30 the amount of people waiting for tables was mind blowing. The food was fine. I had the grilled chicken, my husband had the steak, and our little one had pizza. You come for the atmosphere, and because they make the experience fun for kids. Our server, Disgust from Inside Out did such a great job, and was so friendly and good at what she does- our daughter loved her, and asked to take a photo with her at the end. There is a man that comes around and does balloon animals. We had cash to tip him but he had a sign on his shirt that says he takes credit cards too, also there was a gal going around taking photos that you can purchase. We did that also. The server dressed up as Obi one also was really sweet to our daughter and he clearly was a very talented actor because he didn’t break character once, and was hysterical. Reminded me of a place from my childhood that I would have begged to go to for birthdays.

Let me just say... Mrs. Incredible. She was amazing. My family and I had a INCREDIBLE *wink wink* time! Food was good, but service was amazing. All of the characters stayed in character away and at tables. The atmosphere was very unique and I would definitely recommend this restaurant experience to people of all ages. Our server, Mrs. Incredible, had fun banter with my young niece and great jokes with all of my family. Will be coming back ✨

It was a neat little place. Someone has spent a lot of time on decorating it and the unique booths are really cool. Bring cash to tip the entertainment that comes by unless you want the awkwardness of tipping with a card. Food was not bad. Not great either. I think it would be really awesome for younger kids especially if they want to dress up. I also think it would be awesome to have even more and diverse entertainment working for tips as well.

Okay, my group passed by here and just had to check it out. Our waitress "Jessie" was truly amazing and her communication was MUCH appreciated. There were a few problems in the kitchen so it took a bit longer for us to get appetizers and food but she was really great and kept us informed and just really made the experience for us! And later the cook even came out and apologized for the delay! Loved the atmosphere, love the staff! The food was delicious! We had calamari for our appetizer (SO GOOD), then chicken parmesan, sirloin, and fried catfish and shrimp. The only negative thing my husband had to say about his sirloin was that it was a bit overcooked. Other than that, we really enjoyed it all! Calamari, Fresh loaves of bread, our chicken parmesans were DELICIOUS! And the house salads are in quite generous portions. We also had drinks. Two of us had the bubbling "Magic Potion" with tequila, which was super cool! I ended up ordering one later with coconut rum and despite how good it was first time around, everyone agreed it tasted better with my choice. My first drink was the "Abracadabra Mudpie". It had good flavor, but I'm a sissy and it was a bit strong for my taste haha our young adult in the group got the kid version of the "Magic Potion", in the "Ugly" option lol We all had such a great time and WILL be back! Thank you!! (I forgot to take a picture of the chicken parmesan! And the fish 🤦‍♀️)

We went to the Magic Time Machine last September during the week. There was no wait and hardly anyone dining. We were seated in a basic booth near a drink service area and close to the salad bar. This place is quirky and eccentric. A little gimmicky, BUT the food was surprisingly decent. I had the Eve cut prime rib with an added lobster tail with baked potato and my the bf had the half and half which was 1/2 ribs and 1/2 smoked chicken (with a fries). My prime rib and lobster were juicy, cooked perfectly, and delicious (the potato was great too but that's kinda hard to mess up - it was very large). The ribs were pretty dry and bland, however, the half chicken was tender, flavorful and well-seasoned. The salad bar was included with the entrees and included fresh salad and the fixings in addition to other various salads and slaws. Everything on the salad bar looked and tasted fresh. I also had some sort of potion drink that was pretty good. The waitress who was dressed as the Cheshire cat did a "spell" and then it started bubbling. All in all the experience was fun, and interesting and the food was good quality and quantity so I would return.

A MUST for eating in Dallas. Great for all ages! SO MUCH FUN The salmon & veggies were fantastic!!!! (I split the plate with a friend so the picture only shows my half.) Chef did a great job, everything tasted so fresh. The spinach dip appetizer and the calamari appetizer were good too! Spider-Man was an excellent & engaging server!! I’ve been here twice yearly for 5 years and I’ll be back again!

Thor! Thor! Thor! He was our kids favorite waiter! (Our kids are 15 and 14 yr olds) We had the best time here. Thanks for being such a fun place! They have magic potion drinks, and each table has a theme! How cool is that?! Us, Bush People will definitely return!

Worth A Detour! The Magic Time machine is an exciting adventure through the land of make believe. Imagine you left your house and jumped into a book, that's what this restaurant is. It brings books and movies to life. Their exciting and fun decor has so many hidden jems you'll need to go multiple times to see it all. With so many different rooms and environments you may get a new experience each times you go. Though the decor is incredible, the staff is phenomenal. From Shaggy, Dorthy, Capt. Jack, Cruella and so many more this fun filled cast of characters really helps to enhance your story book experience. They are excellent at staying in character and it's because of them that no two experiences at the restaurant will be alike. The food is delicious and the portion sizes huge, so make sure to bring a large appetite. As someone who travels to themed entertainment venues all around the world I would definitely say this is one of the top on my list. I just wish that this restaurant would expand offering the experience to even more guests all across the US. Keep up the great work!

Oh my gosh!! We loved it ❤️ our waitress was "Harley Quinn" she was fantastic! Did an awesome job as the character.. The food and portions were great 👍🏼. My grandsons thought it was a lot of fun! They had the kids' meal chicken strips and the popcorn shrimp. Both came with fries. $8.99 ea. We also ordered them one of the special kids' drinks that was $2.99. Grandma and Grandpa got some Prime Rib 16oz $37.00 cooked perfectly & every one of the meals included all you can eat salad bar that is in an old car made into a salad bar. Super cute place and fun for all ages.. The greeters were not in character, which would have been fun too, but oh well, it was fun for a special day, and our grandkids had a great time and laughed a lot! That's what counted for us.. ♥️ We made memories with them!

The kids had a good time. The food wasn’t as expensive as I would have guessed, particularly when you order the awkwardly named family meal for the table. They do get you with a number of small expenses that add up, like the balloon guy, photographs, and character sketches, but all of that is optional. All in all, the food was decent and the kids loved running around getting signatures from very patient wait staff. Nana was very happy to get her photo with Jack Sparrow. The time machine doesn’t got back much further than 2009 when it comes to character selection, and some of the folks in costume had set a pretty low bar for themselves as far as effort. There were times I was glad that it was dark so I didn’t have to think too hard about the 40+ year old food-matted carpet under all the tables. It’s not something I would go to on my own, but it’s an experience the family will remember and we all had a good time.

We absolutely loved it here, my kids loved the fact they could get up and get autographs from all the characters, and the kids can dress up as well, everything is decorated in each sitting area, they come to your table and take your picture, and have a balloon artist who comes to your table, another artist who draws your picture, the food was also delicious and very well portioned they also make potion drinks for the kids, the salad was yummy as well, very kid friendly, it was our first time here and we loved it we will make it a habit to start coming here every 2 weeks from now on

It was a cool place to take my daughter and have a family meal. Boy there sure is a lot to see in there with all the different themes. I wasn’t super impressed with the quality of food but it wasn’t terrible. We did have some cool pictures taken to remember the experience

Our family had the best time there! loved that every booth was a different theme and the wait staff was dressed in costume. They also had a balloon man, an artist drawing pictures and a magician walking around. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back

My boyfriend and I brought our sons here for dinner on Thursday evening. It had been a few years since my oldest (15) had been to The Magic Time Machine and he was beyond excited. I was nervous because he usually does not handle eating in a noisy restaurant well- he is on the Spectrum, and it is his Super Power, and sometimes that super power enhances his senses a little too much. The evening was amazing! We had the Cheshire Cat as our waitress and she went above and beyond to make us comfortable and make both the boys wants come true. She never once made my son feel like he was taking up too much of her time. My son was beyond excited to meet Superman and it took him a while to feel ready. Superman was amazing with him. Very patient and answered every question. Thank you to all of the staff for a fun evening.
