My husband and I were told about this garden and heard how wonderful it is. We saw such beautiful pictures onlines, so we went and seen it for ourselves. Oh my word this place does not disappoint. My husband and I both are outdoorsy and nature type of people so for us it was like Christmas being able to see new things and walk the distance to see it. We also got to see the Butterfly Garden which was super unique and fun to see a few of the butterflies they had. We went on a beautiful March day 3 weeks ago and unfortunately not everything was full bloom but what we did see was breathtaking. These pictures don't do it enough justice but loved every minute of what we got to see. We can't wait to go back and visit it again to see it all in full bloom!

The wife & I are simple people. We enjoy the beautiful, yet simple things in life. This botanical garden experience was amazing. We went through a time of drought & the garden still had plenty of thriving flowers & plants. I'm sure that a trip during the spring would be even better. We walked for nearly 3 hours & enjoyed ever minute of it. We stopped to take pictures, enjoy the quietness, & admire the beauty of the gardens. The Rose Garden & Japanese Tea Garden were our favorite parts of the garden. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend that you check this place out.

I absolutely adore these gardens. More than anything, I love to spend time in the Japanese garden. There is nothing more serene and stunning than the Japanese garden. I have attended both the spring and fall Japanese festivals which were incredible. This spring I had the pleasure of experiencing the seasonal blooms. It is the perfect place to relax and be one with nature.

This was a gorgeous place to visit in early December. There were still fall colors, which made it for a lovely leaf peeping walk. I’m looking forward to coming back during other seasons to see the flowers. The Japanese garden for sure should not be missed.

Beautiful gardens! We visited in November and there were still several flowers in bloom. The origami art throughout the park was fun and whimsical. Without a doubt, the Japanese Garden was the highlight! The landscape is so calming. If you only have a small amount of time to visit, make sure you go to the Japanese Garden. This was our first visit, and the staff at the desk were extremely helpful. We rented a scooter for a member in our party, which held its charge through the garden and was easy to operate. We purchased our tickets online for ease. The website purchase was easy.

A beautiful day to explore the botanic garden. The staff were all courteous and helpful. It was my first visit and it exceeded my expectations. The fees were very reasonable. The cafe was also reasonably priced. We actually saw an armadillo while we were dining. The origami sculptures were beautiful. The Japanese Garden with all the beautiful fish was the highlight. I'd love to visit at night and see the Christmas light display. Lots of signage so a great learning opportunity.

These are really nice gardens. It was very hot and humid when we went so that was a challenge but, there are numerous shady places to sit and enjoy the plants and trees. We brought an umbrella which helped keep the sun off of our heads. There is a gift shop and cafe. The staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. They have several trails that are kid friendly.

March 2022 - Words don't do justice to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. My husband and I arrived around 9:15, and very few people were there. However, by 10:30, the garden had lots of visitors! So if you're interested in attending when fewer people are there, I recommend arriving between 8:00 - 9:15. The tulips were picture perfect. I'll return around the first part of September to see the garden during a diffent season.

I highly recommend this Botanic garden. It has wonderful pathways, amazing statues/structures, and everything is so well maintained. Great for kids, adults, and handicapped folks. Please take water, good shoes, and a small neck fan if you plan to walk the entire area. The best part is the buses will pick you up and drop you off so you don’t have to walk it all if you can’t/prefer not to. Also, buy tickets online because they are buy 1 get 1 free!

I have a membership to my home botanical gardens that has reciprocal membership, so entry was free. While there went to the Rock Springs Cafe and the Japanese garden. The cafe was very reasonably priced with lunch options around $10 for a lot of food, especially compared to what you normally get at a museum or the like. Plus, it was more like cafe food and less like snack bar food. The Japanese garden was wonderful! Even my teenage son loved it! He actually found a secret path just past the cafe that took us into the garden, bypassing the entrance gate. We ended up seeing the entrance gate last. The koi fish were huge and very friendly. If you stood by the shore, they'd come near. To see everything, there is a lot of stair climbing, but you can see a lot just following the main path. I think there are 2 or 3 sets of bathrooms, which was helpful. We spent about 2 hours just at the garden.

Such a beautiful and tranquil place. Admission is $12 per person and it's well worth it. There is construction underway at the Botanic garden so there are a few detours but not awful. The garden is huge! There is so much see!! You will have a very peaceful and relaxing day here.

We went for lightscap, first time to the gardens and if it's this beautiful at night, I have to get back and write another review for the day. The music was well planned out for each of the exhibits, the creativity of some people is astounding. I was thoroughly entertained with the displays and how the artists were able to infuse lights with nature to induce harmony. My favorite are the bluebells, so beautiful. The is a cohesive marriage of botany and technology, go now before its removed.

What a gorgeous botanic garden! I loved the walkability of the grounds. So many areas to sit and enjoy the gardens. I was blown away by the Japanese garden section! Lots of restrooms throughout the grounds and I loved there were so many water bottle filling stations, which comes in handy on a hot summer day. Give yourself at least 3 hours or more. While there are lots of shady areas, I would recommend wearing a hat or bringing an umbrella. I wish I brought my portable fan/water bottle! I can see why folks would want to do photo shoots there. I saw that they have lights around the holiday, so I will definitely be back!

Loved it. Wasn’t crowded and we went when the weather was just right. We bought the family membership because we plan on coming back before it expires and visiting other gardens where we can get in for free with our membership. If you have a family I suggest you get the membership because I think it’s a good deal.

We went for the Lightscape exhibition and it was amazing! It was like being in Fantasia. The lights change and are set to music. The whole set-up is beautifully integrated with the natural elements of the Garden. It was the perfect length and there were lots of rest points and beverage stations along the way. We loved it so much that we'll be coming back next year from Minnesota to see it again. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Thank you for such a mesmerizing experience!

Absolutely Stunning!! Ramps pair with the amount of staircases and bathrooms are randomly placed throughout. It is definitely a wonderful trek on beautiful days and there are benches to rest throughout the park. Bring your camera, but keep in mind, that photos never seem to give any justice to the beauty that you will witness. Definitely recommended for all ages and don't forget you have the option to feed the fish inside the Japanese gardens.

My wife and I have been to this place multiple times and we both LOVE it! This time in the month of November we decided to check out the light display they have going on around this time of the year and it was beautiful!!! They offered hot chocolate, hot apple cider, snacks, and even alcohol for the adults!! Parking was a little confusing at first but it was all worth it!!! Definitely recommend this place as a must in Fort Worth!! It's kid friendly, dog friendly and it's a great way to walk around get some exercise while having a wonderful time. 10 out of 10!!!! You will not be disappointed, I promise!!!

Wonderful day today and the gardens didn't disappoint. Perfect spring day. The flowers were in bloom and everything was so lush. We went for the big bug exhibit and the artwork was amazing, wish there was more.

We were in the area for a concert and decided to swing by to kill time. We are both plant lovers and really enjoyed our time here. Everything looked well kept and there was plenty to see and smell. Be ready to do a lot of walking!

I went here with my husband yesterday and we really enjoyed it! The scenery was beautiful and we got lots of great pictures. We got there around 5pm and didn't realize the Cafe would be closed already, so that was a bit disappointing, but we were able to use the bathrooms right before they were locked up (around 5:15). If you plan to go earlier in the day, you probably won't have any issues. Regardless, it was still a great experience for us!

So much fun! It was super hot outside but my kids loved it here. So much to see and do we didn't even get close to doing all of it. They love the Texas Boardwalk! You can cool off and learn some stuff over in the science center. Overall, visiting these gardens will improve your day and add some knowledge to your catalog! Recommend. Staff is fantastic too. I've heard the restaurant is nice but we packed a little bag with snacks and drinks!

STOP HERE! We were driving cross country and we love our gardens. This place is huge! And the amount of flora and fauna was inspiring. We weren't able to do the whole gardens but the rose and Japanese gardens were breathtaking! For $30 for 2 people, it is well worth the money. Especially for the time you spend there. The gardens makes you forget you're in a massive city. Parking is easy once you find it. The one way streets make it hard but the people around the area at other venues were nice and helped us out!

Wow! This place is awesome! I think it’s one of Fort Worth’s top attractions. I go to lots of botanic gardens and this is one of the bests. If you have any interest in gardens you need to go here. The Japanese Garden is amazing but the whole place is nice. It’s a good balance of manicured floral exhibits, art, natural features, open spaces and trees, and the lots of ponds, streams, and fountains. I’d skip the stockyards and go here.

Pretty place with friendly staff. Lots to explore but VERY busy. The Koi are so beautiful and loved to be fed. There are multiple places to feed them, so we spread that out. Unique place to visit. Several areas shut down for remodel but they are improving them. Great place for bees, butterflies, lizards, turtles, squirrels and hummingbirds.

Two times the fun here. We had plans to attend the "Music of the Eagles" tonight, live music 🎶🤙 in the park, so we figured a bike ride there during the day to check out the parking and logistics of the place would be a good idea. It was... We found our north parking lot, how to get in, and where to directly walk in to. Our first time here attending and we had an ice chest to pull, so. Spend the additional 18 bucks for parking as you purchase your ticket online. Get the North parking which is very close to the entry. Easy walk to the sitting or festival area from there. Warning!!! It can be extremely hot and humid out there! PREPARE yourself! Plenty of concessions close by, well behaved crowd, but very hot and sticky. The fireworks helped though🧨

As I walked through the entrance of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, I was immediately struck by the beauty and tranquility of the place. The gardens cover a vast area, featuring a wide variety of plants, flowers, trees, and ponds. One of the first things I noticed was the stunning Japanese Garden, with its meticulously arranged rocks, bridges, and water features. I spent a good amount of time here, admiring the different species of trees and shrubs, as well as the koi fish swimming in the ponds. Next, I wandered through the Rose Garden, which was bursting with vibrant colors and sweet fragrances. I was amazed by the sheer number of roses in every shade of pink, red, and yellow, and I couldn't resist taking a few photos. As I continued my exploration, I discovered the Cactus and Succulent Garden, which was unlike anything I had ever seen before. The desert plants were arranged in an artistic and educational way, with signs explaining the unique features of each species. But the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Butterfly Garden. As soon as I entered, I was surrounded by dozens of colorful butterflies, fluttering around me and landing on the flowers. It was a magical experience that I will never forget. Throughout my visit, I was impressed by the care and attention given to maintaining the gardens. The paths were well-maintained, the plants were healthy and well-kept, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, my experience at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden was nothing short of spectacular. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or just looking for a peaceful place to relax, I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful oasis in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas.

This place is just beautiful and they do an amazing job keeping up with it. Be ready to walk a lot of course or pay attention to the shuttle and where it stops. I took a lot of amazing pictures and had a great time in general. I also think it’s worth mentioning that they have a lot of events like an orchestra and seasonal events like their Christmas decorations.

What a lovely place for a walk. It is slightly difficult to navigate with a stroller but it can be done. We had a wonderful time. It was about a 2 mile walk and took us 2 hours including stops here and there. We saw most of the gardens. Great for families.

It is great place to explore the beautiful nature, beautiful landscaping and walking in the trail. I think everybody should visit this garden. Beautiful flowers with beautiful environment are the attraction of this botanical garden. There is the pond with many fishes which are of different colors. Everybody will enjoy watching fish floating in water. It is really breathtaking view. Apart, from that small waterfall has been created to give the rural experience. What a great work? I cannot describe it. You can experience the forest which is possible to see in only remote area. You will enjoy everything. There are lots of pavilion which are enhancing the beauty of park and also rest if you are tried walking. Apart, from that pedestrian bridges are other beautiful element which are adding the aesthetic of the botanical garden. Do not forget to visit this place if you are visiting DFW. Local people also should not forget to visit this place.

My daughter and I visited the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and spent hours there, although it seemed that it wasn't in full bloom due to the time of year. It was still absolutely beautiful and we cannot wait to go back especially during the different seasons!

Absolutely a must place to visit. When my family and I visited, it was humid and the sun was not cooperating. However, the beauty of the garden, the entire atmosphere, the unbeatable price, the friendly staff, was all worth it. I recommend, comfortable shoes, sunblock, water and a smile. Oh, and do not forget to eat, because you will burn those calories.

Love the Botanic Gardens! Plenty of trails to stroll while admiring beautiful blooms. Take advantage of the many structures, fountains and arbors for pretty photo ops. My husband and I were married in one of the gardens so it brings me joy to visit our spot. Go to the conservatory in late Feb through early April and enjoy the butterflies fluttering around. They will land on your head if you wear a flowered headband/hat. The Japanese garden is one of my favorite places, it's a separate enclosed space near the rose garden. There is an admission fee to enter the Japanese garden but I don't mind that because it is amazing.

I only had one hour before closing time to enjoy the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, so I asked an employee what not to miss. She suggested the Japanese Garden and Tulip Garden. Both beautiful! I was able explore both of those and take a leisurely walk back with my time.

Truly one of the hidden gems of Fort Worth! The Botanic Gardens are a must if you are visiting Cowtown, USA. There are no cows or rodeos but what you will find will dazzle your senses even more. The flowers, the exhibits, the experience of being in such an amazing botanical paradise in the heart of Fort Worth is something that should not be missed. You'll be like me and want to come back again and again!

Amazingly beautiful place. We felt the price was reasonable (but then also realized that they have a reciprocal membership with the Dallas Arboretum, which someone with us had a family membership to, so we got in for free). We enjoyed walking around the paths. There was some construction that left us with a bit of a boring section, but it wasn't too long and they rerouted us through shade so at least it was cool. The Japanese garden truly was the highlight (as other reviewers have mentioned). The kids with us enjoyed a snow cone from the truck in the parking lot prior to the Japanese Garden. We all appreciated the frequent water-bottle-filling stations (the water isn't cold, but it was still welcome). We ran out of time after the Japanese Garden and wanted to take the tram back to the car (the park is laid out in a line, not a loop). We also had a senior citizen with us who was pretty done walking. We stopped at one of the parks restaurants to ask when the tram came and they said every 15 minutes. We waited and waited, but no tram came. Finally a group of us separated and walked back to the entrance while others waited for the tram. I asked about the tram at the ticket counter and was told it didn't run at all during the week! They sent someone to pickup our group, but we had already wasted like 35 minutes and the lack of communication was terrible. The restaurant worker should have known, and told us, that the tram wasn't going that day! It was the only negative part of the entire trip. They really need to improve the signage relating to the tram - where stops are and when it is running seemed like a mystery that we were just supposed to magically know.

Lightscape is a must for the holiday! This is the second year we have gone and my family adores it! We love the gardens, but when they are lit up… it’s breath taking. Just make sure to go after dark and bring a jacket.

bummer that they only offer a military discount on labor or memorial day, but besides that, garden was so beautiful and very peaceful. tickets were very affordable (coming from a current college student.) definitely recommend to anyone who is in the area.

Great place to visit. Please see the photos to appreciate the beauty of the gardens. Even with the drought, the Botanic Garden is very attractive. We spent several hours and had to leave due to the heat. We will definitely return when it is cooler and view the gardens.

Decided to finally go out and about and explore Fort Worth a little more. This botanical garden is moderately sized. My favorite was the Japanese garden because it had a lot of opportunities for photos. Most of the paths had shade, which helps with the Texas heat. The parking lot is decently sized and I was able to find parking easily. Parking is free as well, which is nice. Enjoyed my time here. Very family friendly.

  • 4/5 charbear87 11 months ago on Google
It was beautiful in most areas, but I think we came before all the roses had a chance to bloom lol. Make note that Sundays are very crowded, maybe going a weekday is better. The Japanese gift shop was cute as well. Some areas did look like it needed professional work done to improve the overall experience, especially in the greenhouse. Parts of it looked a little rag tag, but overall it was pleasant.

  • 3/5 Taylor D. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful park, great for a nice walk. Was super impressed with the Japanese gardens, it was serene and beautiful. The orchids were beautiful albeit a small exhibit. Besides those two, no wow factor, but I will say the Japanese garden alone makes this entirely worth it!

  • 5/5 Corey C. 1 year ago on Google
A great family adventure year round, so many things to see and do. The nature walk is filled with tons of info, and the kids love it. It could use some updating to make it a bit more immersive, but we make do with what's there. The color changes, the rose garden, the new additions, the always beautiful and now included in admission Japanese Garden.... This place is the perfect in town stop for exploring plants and various insects with your family. Huge trees and we'll planned landscape can make you forget you're pretty much in downtown Fort Worth. Special activities change all the time, be sure to check the website and see if you need tickets. Butterflies in the garden, bugs, fireworks, symphony, live music, weddings, and many charity events, we go multiple times a year and haven't even scratched the surface of everything that's offered. It's a must see Fort Worth attraction.

We love this place. It's serene and calm place to spend your weekend. Even if it's crowded it big enough to accommodate. Our go to weekend spot. Their yearly pass works the best and you can use the other entrance near Japanese garden if you are member.
