Fort Worth Texas stock yards are the place to be. It's so much fun loving it loving it loving it. Fort worth Texas is full of such culture. It has cowboys and horses and chic shopping why would you want to be anywhere else since I've moved here I've hardly encountered a rude person. Everyone is warm and kind. I love it here

Cool and interesting place to check out, they do cattle drive 2x daily, at 11:30 and 4pm. There are shops and restaurants you can eat nearby. Kids loved the pony rides at $8 a person, we also did the horse ride at $15 per person, and mini train ride at $5 a person. Bathroom on the outside by the trailer is cleaner!

This is definitely a must-do if you ever find yourself in Fort Worth. The Historic Stockyards do not disappoint one bit. There are many shops, restaurants, shows, and other activities that will give you almost a full day of fun. As you walk down the Stockyard Strip (Exchange Ave), the smell of smoked BBQ will delight your senses. Horse drawn carriage rides are available, as well as photo opportunities with some real longhorn steer. Twice a day they have a cattle drive, it doesn’t last very long (roughly10 minutes), but it’s definitely worth it to see the longhorn steer parade down the road as they have daily for over 20 years. Depending on when you choose to visit, parking can be a little challenging. There is paid parking on Exchange Ave, however, I recommend walking a little further to the main or side roads if you want to park for free. I highly recommend the Fort Worth Stockyards for a unique Texas experience.

Great experience! You must be there on time for the longhorn steer street parade. This 140 year plus historic center of live stock processing/sales tells a great story about the early years of this industry. There are many great attractions, restaurants and bars close by to enjoy. Parking is plentiful, but be prepared to walk as it's required to enjoy the full experience. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Saw the Cattle Drive today and also saw it in December close to Christmas time and it was absolutely amazing both times. Before it started there was this awesome Texan there talking about the history and it was quite fascinating, I learned so much. We got to take pics with the longhorn and see the cows which was awesome. The entire street, the look, the stores are all worth it. It was absolutely amazing. If you're in forth worth you gotta check this is you won't be disappointed at all. Definitely recommend a visit.

The best tourist's attraction in Fort Worth! Lots of people during the weekend (F U Covid!). The area was vacated last year but has since gained back its patrons! And I'm glad because this place has so much history and culture. There is the rodeo, the museum of cattle trading, the historic buildings converted to hotels and restaurants. Two of my favorite BBQ places are in this area.

Saw the cattle drive which was very cool! Some gigantic horns on the cattle that came through. It was cool to experience traditional Texas culture that way. Lot's of interesting shops in the area as well. If you want a sense of Texas culture, this is a place to go.

I was bracing myself for a tourist trap but I was very wrong. Friendliness: Firstly, everyone working in the stores and restaurants I visited and the staff involved in the shows and attractions were very welcoming and friendly. The prices for food, souvenirs and attractions are normal and reasonable. No price gouging in any of the places I visited. Attractions: There’s something for everyone in the family. The cattle drive is entertaining and the comedy shootout show afterwards is a must see. Carriage rides were also fun but I really enjoyed simply hanging out in the well maintained Exchange Ave where you can have beer while you walk around. Parking rates ($16.50 a day) are expensive if you are visit only for couple of hours but worth it if you are spending a whole day. Furthermore, there is a good amount of parking. There were few empty spots close to all the attractions on a Saturday of memorial weekend around noon.

This place makes me so grateful to be a Texan. The Texas Western heritage is on full display here, and it's as close to experiencing it in modern times as you can get outside of a dude ranch. Fort Worth has done a phenomenal job of keeping the history in place, yet bringing in modern industry that attracts sustainable crowds. If you've never spent a couple of days here, now's the time to do it.

It's a fun place to visit. Go early to beat the crowd. The TX long horn parade is at 11:30am and 4pm (check their website for the time) and it is a must see. The parking is $10 for all day. Plenty of parking, but mostly are in dirt areas. Lots of shops to buy your souvenirs. Also many restaurants. They also have pony rides which are $8/per kid and cash only. Make sure to have cash on hand for activities for your little ones. I saw an ATM, but it doesn't seem to be operational. They might have another ATM at another location, but I did not see it. Most people are friendly and serve you well.

FREE event, Christmas parade was awesome! Good vibes, family atmosphere, lots of shops and very good and affordable restaurants. Plenty of parking lots, I think streets are free to park but not sure. We paid $17. Christmas tree is nice looking! There’s so much to see. Bring your beer!

This is a great place to bring family and friends who come to visit us in Texas. They get a flavor of the history of Texas in an interactive way. The restaurants and shops give you many choices for enjoying your time in this historic destination. You don't want to miss the daily cattle drive or the rodeo!

Loved our trip to Fort Worth Stockyards. Sunny day in December and was good to see all Christmas festivities and decor. We saw the historic parade and longhorns, as well as listened to the live band. Museum was lovely to visit as well. You can sit on a Longhorn for $5. Fabulous experience.

Since it was Christmas break it was very busy on a weekday. Plan to go back again to better enjoy it without the crowds. Happy to find some green space by the water to bring our puppy to do her business.

I was with my wife and daughter. It's the third time we have been here. If you're looking for a day trip this could be the place for you. The have a variety of restaurants and stores too. They have live animals for the children to see. Also there's a John Wayne museum and live shows to see too. I recommend it.

Lots of fun to be had here! Plenty of shopping, restaurants, and experiences. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in town, or bringing family to visit if you live in Fort Worth. The Cattle Drive times can be found online - super fun to watch. Parking wasn’t bad - it is paid in most areas.

If you're in Dallas and you're looking for something different, this place is a MUST, specially if you're into cowboy vibes. There's a free-of-charge show everyday at 11:30am and 4:00pm, which consists of a "parade" with long horn cows and some guys riding horses, they explain the history of the place among other interesting facts. You can drink on the streets, there are plenty of bars and restaurants and it's also a good place for shopping. It's a place perfect for the family or simply to go with friends and have a good time. We all enjoyed it a lot.

Such a cool place. If you’re in Fort Worth then the Stockyards should be top of your list to visit. A real authentic cowboy town with loads to do for people of all ages. There is a cattle drive twice a day which is worth catching, there’s plenty of shops to browse as well as great places to eat and cool saloons for a drink and some live music. We were a family with children aged 16, 13 and 8 and they all enjoyed it. Will definitely be coming back

Fun place to visit, the kids had a blast checking out all the shops and seeing the beautiful cattle. One of the shops had a ton of mountained animals which was fascinating to see. They had a hippo, elephant, giraffe, and much much more! The kids loved it! Wish we could have been there for the cattle drive but they only do it twice a day. I believe at 11:30 and 4:30. We'll definitely have to go back if ever back in the area.

The place is impressive, and it's good to visit it to experience Texas Lifestyle. One of the most popular attractions in the Stockyards is the twice-daily cattle drive. At 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM, a herd of longhorn cattle is driven down Exchange Avenue, the main street in the Stockyards. The cattle drive is a great way to experience the Western heritage of Fort Worth. The Fort Worth Stockyards is a great place to visit for families, couples, and groups of friends. There is something for everyone in the Stockyards, from shopping and dining to live music and cowboy culture.

My wife and I had a great time at the Stockyards making it a fun "date day". The scan and pay parking was easy and only costs $10 for the day. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops in the area. Each day there are two cattle drives through the streets, horse and buggy rides are available, and in December not only is everything lit up for Christmas but there is a huge outdoor ice rink. Make it a point to see Billy Bob's if you hadn't been there before. If you are looking to stay a night or two, the Hyatt Place puts you in walking distance of everything. 🐂🐂🐂

The Stockyards is THE place to go in Ft Worth! It is such a great wild west authentic experience. There are neat shops, good places to eat, and the buildings are that Western feel that captures what Texas is. We really enjoyed the cattle run and seeing the beautiful longhorns up close. You can't go to Ft Worth without visiting this unique and amazing place! We wish we could have spent more time there, so we are already planning to bring our teen boys next year. 💙

Always a great place to visit, this is the authentic scenery that characterizes Fort Worth: Cowboy wardrobes, Texas Longhorns, where you can take pictures on them, western style chariots to take a ride on. Skating ice rink special for the holidays. This is a historic area where stock commerce/trade started and took place. Many shops, boutiques and restaurants that reflect this style. Always good not only for tourists, but for locals to come by.

Great show for us tourists. Lovely quaint town with some great restaurants and lots of shops with the usual touristy stuff for sale, once you have browsed through a couple of the shops you’ve seen them all. It was a nice spectacle to see the cowboy’s driving the longhorns down the Main Street. Would highly recommend a visit.

December 2021 What a fun day at The Fort Worth StockYards. Plenty to see, to do and to eat. A must do is catch the twice a day cattle drive of longhorn steers. I also found many “ treasures “ in the unique shops. Had a blast trying to get through the maze! A wonderful Texas experience.

Love this place! It’s CRAZY FUN. If you love or like the old western this is the place for you. Plenty of fun, food, drinks. Entertainment, accommodations and most importantly lots of PARKING. We moved to the DFW Area over a year ago and we love that this area has so much to offer. Fun for everyone Men, Women and Definitely Children. Please visit the museum and tours first as they will allow you to fully understand and embrace the time period. Last Don’t forget to watch the Cattle Drive which happens every day at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm Most importantly have fun, I me and my family did. We will definitely be back. Thank you Texas Stockyards

Fun collection of shops built right on the historic stockyards. Pretty cool redevelopment concept and plenty to do, eat, or see. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're in Fort Worth. Did not catch the cattle stampede but heard good things from people who had. Something for everyone here and quite kid friendly.

Amazing place, walking in Fort Worth I felt like in film, beautiful atmosphere, beautiful people, authentic city, various shops and restaurants. You will not be disappointed! The sunny day made the atmosphere even better, the city was shining with Christmas decorations. Parking places are very close to the central street too.

Popular tourist spot but great for tourists and locals alike. Lots of fun things for kids. Cool area to walk around, see the animals. The petting zoo was fun ($5 to get in, $3 for a cup of seeds that lasted well). Longhorns are definitely cool to see in person. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Lots to see and do. Parking all over. There’s a long narrow lot that’s east access without dealing with driving down the main drag - $15 on the weekend (all day)

This is really an adorable little place. The historic district is a must-see with much to do for visitors of all ages! Second year in a row we made to trip to see the cattle drive, shop and have dinner at the Stock Yards. We were attending a Cowboy's game. Love the holiday decorations, a fantastic time of year to go, highly recommend as they even have an ice skating ring. Old Fort Worth Stockyard area is a simple, outdoors, slightly rough, and not for high heels or high end shopping unless you are looking for fun and high quality western wear. Lots to see and do for everyone. Have a beverage and take it all in!

  • 4/5 Vanessa H. 4 months ago on Google
Cute little tourist area. I loved the Fort Worth vibes. Similar to any main st. it's put together nicely with a lot of boutique food choices. If you need a hat or boots, they have you covered, too. My only complaint was the traffic on the street next to the stockyards and the food I had at a music place was unfortunately not tasty. Probably should have done the steakhouse.

  • 5/5 N and C F. 4 months ago on Google
Had a fun couple of hours at the stockyards. Yes, the cattle drive is only 17 long horns and some cowboys but where else can you get this unique experience. Afterwards, lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. But best part was we found the pens where the cattle were taken after the show and had had an up close experience with nobody else there.

This place is amazing, if you enjoy visiting old time towns with a lot of charm instead of the big cities this is definitely a place to go. Very family friendly, with a lot of souvenir stores and that old west feeling around that is not easy to find in the USA anymore, it is very clean and the atmosphere is good.

You could spend an entire day here, but we only had a few hours to explore. We saw the march of the bulls, expored as many little shops as possible to buy souvenirs, and took in the atmosphere. If we ever make it back, we will see a rodeo and go to some of the many bars. There was easy trailer parking available.

We had a blast at the Fort Worth Stockyards! We were there on a Monday and it was not crowded at all. It was easy to stroll along Exchange Avenue and go in and out of the shops and restaurants. They have the cattle drive two times a day. They have one at 11:00 and 4:00. It is definitely something worth seeing! The longhorns are majestic animals and I was surprised at the size of their horns! There is a little shaded "alley" shopping area with a lot of neat little shops. The stores sell all kinds of Texas merchandise such as tshirts, hats, leather purses, and of course cowboy hats and accessories. There is a railroad that runs through this shopping area but the trains only run on the weekends. I believe they go back and forth between Fort Worth and Grapevine. There are horses available for kids to take pony rides. One of our favorite places to stop and enjoy live music and cold drinks was a place called Second Rodeo. If you go there make sure to walk through the inside seating section and check out the back open area. If you walk straight out the back you can go down the concrete steps to see a small stream that is pretty (we saw guys fishing and lots of turtles). We (2 couples) spent the afternoon at the stockyards and it was the perfect day! I wish we had been able to see a rodeo and take a tour to learn more about the history of the area. We will definitely go back!

Definitely visit Fort Worth Stockyards and enjoy the cattle herding show (11:30 & 16:00) and don't forget to visit also "Cowboy duel". Really great place for the whole family. Museums, John Wayne cowboy store, plenty of great food places and lot of things to do. I love it over there.

It was like living in a cowboys movie. So fun to see the longhorn walk exhange road (although it lasted like 3 minutes). The stockyards are small so probably 1-2hours is more than enough.

What a place! History continues to be made at the Stockyards. The area surrounding the famous building is a bustling commercial area for all your clothing and food needs. Something you don't see everyday - bars in some of the clothing stores.

If you're in the Fort Worth area, the stockyards is worth the visit. There are several restaurants, souvenir shops, saloons and wine shops. There were also a few areas set up for live performances. You can stroll through the town, watch the long horns parade through the town, ride a mechanical bull, or take a picture on a real one. You can also go horse back riding and visit the petting zoo. I stopped by a steak house for dinner and it was delicious. My server Emily, who has the same name as my mother, was a pleasure to work with. I loved the quaint look of the restaurant. It was cozy and felt like home. It's probably better to visit the stockyards on a weekday if possible, to avoid the crowds.

If you are in Fort Worth then is a must-do to come visit this place. We visited on a Sunday so it was kind of crowded, but worth it. Amazing restaurants and bars with good food, great stores with “cowboy” clothes and accessories. Also don’t forget to buy souvenirs, they have plenty.

Really a nice place to spend a whole day. There are many different attractions and shops that will be more than willing to accept your money and chat with you. Everything is in the old Fort Worth Western style. Photo ops with a Long Horn, eat ice cream, shop the curio shops. Get sized for custom boots$$$, Walt Garrison at the old, old Coliseum riding Cutting Horses in action. Maybe 1/2 dozen 5 Star Steak Houses. Of course. A lot of walking, so be ready. At night add a bunch of bars for your favorite liquids, daytime also. And non-budget friendly hotels out the ying yang $$$$$. So go have fun for a day and night. FTW History starts here.

Fun half-day trip for the family. Even the 13-year-old enjoyed it. Parking is easy, there's some free parking and most lots are only $7. We enjoyed the little museum for $2 a person where we learned a lot of interesting facts. I don't recommend this for little kids though; there's a lot of things that cannot be touched. The stampede is not actually a terrifying stampede, it was calm and fun to watch. We enjoyed exploring the old section that has not been developed into a shopping center. You can see the underground area where the sheep walked over to the slaughterhouse, and it's also nice and cool back there. There were a few unique gift shops, but most had the same typical tourist stuff. There's plenty of places to eat at reasonable prices.

  • 5/5 LeWayne B. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely a must do in the Fort Worth area. The main attraction is the Cattle Drive down East Exchange Avenue, but there's so many different activities for everyone of all ages. You'll see people start to line up on the street about 30 minutes before the Cattle Drive. You can sit while waiting, but there's no sitting on the curb during the actual Drive for safety reasons. It's pretty impressive to the size of the longhorns up close. There's a few longhorns on the main street you can sit on for a photo op. Besides the Cattle Drive, there's everything from a petting zoo, horseback riding, stagecoach rides, restaurants, gift shops, rodeo, etc... After the Drive, we walked around and did a little bit of everything, We were in a large group with a wide range of ages, but everyone had a good time. This was a fun family place to visit and a must do in Fort Worth.

I am amazed with how well kept this cowboy times train station has been. First time visiting and it was an amazing experience to see all of the history inside of this place. Shopping is a big must when you are at the candy or tea and spices stores. I believe it got a recent expansion of the activities and restaurants so it is a very good option to visit while in Fort Worth.

Welcome to Texas is what I feel every time I visit the yards, great way to support the community, great shops and lots of places to eat. It’s a tourist spot and parking can get pricey. You can drink a beer in the area while walking around. Try the maze and (Tip:visit Chief records for the best Prices on beer) $5 to take a pic with the bull and the I would come on a weekend for the rodeo show if you’re able too.

This is such a fun area to visit. I just loved the "cowboy" atmosphere, the smell of leather, horses and long horns!! There are plenty of shops and restaurants to visit. They have a cattle drive twice day, where they have long horns walk down the street. We had one of the best steaks we've ever had at Riscky's steakhouse.

A great place to go, whether a night out or taking friends from out of town to get a taste of fort Worth. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, you can go as formal or dress down as you like. Be prepared to love a pair of boots or a new hat. Or if you have kids be prepared to say no to 100 "can I have this ?" :)

Awesome location! A great place for a family or single visit. The cattle run is twice a day, 10 am and 4 pm. Wonderful river trail, new hotel, cozy restaurants, and steak houses. We liked ice cream shops and the local bear. Oh, and find this crazy-staffed animal shop in the old station building.

This place was great. It was amazing to see some of the old Texas being portrayed. There were lots of old buildings and things preserved. They showed a cattle run. There we lots of places to eat and escape the extreme heat. Definitely a must see.
