This was an absolutely refreshing experience. More than enough to see and take in with the different pools, water features, plant life and walkways. We took our time to walk and enjoy this area and the beautiful scenery here. Lots of places to sit and relax with trees all around for shade, a nice breeze finding it's way through the park. Can't wait to go back at night to see the lights and hopefully the water works will be fully going in all the features. Now parking is not easy, but paid parking is available to the South end of the park in front of the Texas & Pacific Lofts off of Lancaster Ave.

A true landmark in Fort Worth downtown which is a must see if you visit the city. Beautifully designed open park which combines the force of water and nature. Here you can experience the power of water in all its beauty. It's free to enter and you can certainly make great pictures here. Plan to spend a minimum of 1 hour or more by visiting the different pools.

I would say if you are in the Dallas or fort worth area you should visit this place. The place is very simple and it has just steps where water is flowing from all the way top to bottom. One of the amazing thing is if you will go down to all the way bottom then the sound of water is amazing and one should not miss that for sure. There are some free parking nearby but not sure if it's always free but I would suggest to be ready on weekends as there are limited spots near by but as it's Texas so you will get parking eventually may be little far.

Did not expect to be visiting this place but the gardens is an interesting architectural venture featuring water in innovative ways. Great to just step away and spend some time here, and take in the art and archtecture used in its design.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is an excellent feat of engineering. It was a very entertaining and beautiful place. A pleasurable experience and everyone who visits loves the aerated pool and the steps that go down all the way. It’s an all season and any time of the day experience. Anyone visiting the Fort Worth area must check it out. I would Highly recommend it!

Amazing place to visit, my favorite in Fort Worth. Surprisingly loud near the bottom. Parking can be found cheap nearby at the parking meters. Gotta be careful not to slip on the wet rocks. They also have 3 other attractions next to it. A pool, 20 rock steps, and a water fountain. Great free experience.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. From the moment you enter, you're captivated by its beauty and serenity. The gardens feature stunning water features, lush greenery, and well-maintained pathways. The main attraction, the Active Pool, with its cascading waterfalls, is awe-inspiring. The Meditation Pool offers a serene space for reflection. The aerated pool's dancing water is mesmerizing to watch. Throughout the gardens, there are seating areas to relax and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere. A visit to the Fort Worth Water Gardens is a must for locals and tourists alike, offering an escape from the city's chaos. It's a magical place that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the experience.

While I visited, a couple of the attractions were down, but with a little imagination, you can get an idea of how cool the place is. Despite being in the middle of Ft. Worth proper, the only cue that you're in the city is the high rises. Even then, the foliage and architecture do a great job of dampening the effects of the city. You could easily chill or read a book in the Quiet Water Pool. This feature wasn't on during my trip though. The active water garden was very interactive, allowing you to walk down the design. When you get to the bottom, it's a weird sensation because the water cascading around you gives you the sense that the world is collapsing around you. I suspect it could make some people a bit dizzy as they ascend back to the top of the feature, so keep that in mind. I wish more of the features were on, but they look cool in the videos I saw online. Nonetheless, during the beginning of the week when Ft. Worth is quiet, this would be a great place to gather one's thoughts and reset! It's worth an hour of your time.

A nice open air park in downtown Ft. Worth. Wide open spaces, different pools to explore (with information on each), kid friendly and free. Worth a visit

Loved it for a quick outing. It would be lovely in summer when all the trees have leaves. Not sure if they have events here, but it would make a nice spot for that purpose. Lovely setting for wedding photography

It’s almost like a forest on a mountain side tucked into a city. There’s this awesome staggered wall you can climb, 3 water pools (one of which you can walk into), one has a wall waterfall that feeds a pool that you aren’t supposed to swim in (there’s steps going into it but signs saying no wading and no swimming), and another that has multiple spray fountains (you don’t really want to be in that pool for sure). They have steps that walk around gardens and lawn features. Just a really neat city park in downtown Ft. Worth.

I’ve come here my whole life! My sister lives in a building nearby, but I’ve been coming here since I was 6 years old. As far as upkeep, it’s good. It’s a fun place to take photos. It’s a safe place too, and it’s the exact same as I remember except the walls on the side water garden was not working.

Very cool place to visit with a long history. Will be amazing once all the trees get their leaves again. Across the street is Starbucks and Whiskey & Rye bar at the Omni Hotel.

A great day to see the Water Gardens! Parking was fine. What was really nice was it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We went on a Wednesday around noon. Beautiful even in the winter.

The beautiful Fort Worth Water Gardens are a refreshing oasis located at the south of downtown by the Fort Worth Convention Center. Parking isn’t too much of a hassle but most visitors park at the meters on the sides of the street of Houston and Commerce. There’s no admission fee, it’s open to the public. This relaxing urban park encourages quiet meditation and tranquility, which also makes it a favorite tourist attraction. It features a variety of water pools for visitors to experience and enjoy any time of the year. You can also make reservations to rent out a particular area of the park for special events. What I love about this place is that it’s therapeutic for the mind and body. Sometimes we just need a breath of fresh air where we can feel at peace and not have to worry. I desire a peaceful environment so this is one of my favorite places to visit no matter how I’m feeling. In the evening time, the lights in the park illuminate the experience to another level. If you just so happen to be in Fort Worth, visiting the park is a place to create memorable experiences and spend quality time by yourself or with family and friends.

Such a wonderful water gardens had so much fun spending some time there seeing the water flow and enjoying the view of silent pool and just felt close to nature. It’s constructed in 1974 still looks so good. We can see Omni Hotel that looks stunning from the gardens.

What a cool spot!! I discovered this place while researching for our family Vacay. I wasn’t sure what to expect - but it was EXTREMELY cool! My whole family enjoyed it. We even found a nice, shaded spot to sit and enjoy it. E ethane should definitely go see this spot! It seemed so random - but so relaxing and fun! Also - it’s free!

Absolutely loved visiting the Fort Worth Water Garden. I went in the evening right before sunset and it was a serene oasis where the soothing sound of water instantly relaxed me. The best part? No entry fee! The ambiance is truly enchanting, especially when the temperature isn't scorching. Strolling through the beautifully designed landscape, with the gentle cascade of water in the background, is pure bliss. However, there was some trash in the water which I think should be cleaned daily to maintain the beauty of the place.

Amazing and unique public space that is great for both relaxing, exploring, climbing, and chill alone/with others. There are several water pools with lots of trees, photo ops, and more. Highly reccomend checking it out.

Oh man this place was so amazing. There's more to do then just go into the waterfall area. There are about 5 different features that you can walk around. We went at night and walked all around. It's very well lit. There's a hotel across from the area where we went to bathroom since it was a long drive from our house. We found street parking that didn't cost anything.

Amazing Views and perfect place for some nice Photos with Running water. The waterfalls are really spectacular and listening the sound gives cool vibes. Going to the bottom of waterfalls is easy even for the kids. Also the Metered parking is right across the streets makes it easy to visit...

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a tranquil oasis featuring cascading waterfalls, serene pools, and unique architectural elements. Its design creates a soothing atmosphere, making it a delightful place for visitors seeking relaxation and natural beauty. Winding pathways lead you through diverse water features, from the active aerating pool to the quiet meditation pool. The urban oasis provides a refreshing escape in the heart of Fort Worth, offering a blend of modern design and peaceful surroundings. It's a must-visit for those who appreciate both nature and artistry. Beautiful water gardens in central Fort Worth. Not amazing as an attraction but a nice little break from the normal sidewalks and streets. Nice for a short relaxing sit down to enjoy the good weather.

The water features were my favorite and I enjoyed the diverse collection of outdoor sculptures. I visited last April but I wouldn't mind visiting during a different season. 👍🏾

This hidden gem is located right at the heart of downtown Dallas. The entry is free of cost and has many attractive options to explore. We visit it every time we are in Fort Worth. We took many of our out of town relatives there.

Absolutely beautiful place. Been coming here since I was a kid and still think it’s one of the coolest things we have in Fort Worth. A great family friendly day out for sure! It’s definitely a must see!

Beautiful park, Water falls, and play area for kids. Nice place to relax in this Texas heat (We went in September as well as November). Hot season is better. Water was cold in Nov.

Good place to visit when in fort worth, not too crowded at a time. Clean. Half of the fountains were not working the 2nd time when I went there. No free parking, but paid parking is available nearby for $10 on weekdays and $15 per day on weekend

This was a lovely place to take a break from the busy city and traffic to relax and walk around. The 360 degree waterfall was amazing! Went on a weekday and was not crowded at all. Free admission and open to the public.

Fun, free place to visit in Fort Worth! The park has 3 different water features with the active water feature being the coolest one where you can walk down the steps into the waterfall. The quiet pool and the misty pools are also interesting but not as interactive. We didn't spend a super long time here, maybe ~20 minutes, but it was worth checking out! The water gardens are also located in downtown Fort Worth which is much quieter/cleaner than downtown Dallas!

  • 3/5 John L. 7 months ago on Google
I say this with the utmost respect: “eh.” There was 1 kind of cool water feature. The rest was just a smelly, unkept area. The water was green and dirty, the smell was either chlorinated or literal feces, and the middle pool was nothing but green waste. Not sure if there was supposed to be more to it, but it was not really impressive. Maybe if there was a concert at the stage, it’d be decent.

  • 3/5 Brian M. 7 months ago on Google
I mean....it's some concrete and water. Maybe it's better in the middle of the tourist season? The aerated pool was completely dry, and the calm pool was green, as you can see. The main pool had a cool look, and you can walk down into it. The bums wiping themselves down on the "mountain" were a little disconcerting.

  • 5/5 Alex S. 7 months ago on Google
Great way to decompress after a long day of work. The water gardens is a 5min walk from the downtown hotels. I went during the week after working hours, it was never packed. If you are into meditation/ reflection this is a great spot to go within and recharge with the elements.

I enjoy this style of landscape design. It was implemented in many buildings in the 80s I found relaxing. It's a great place to take a quiet walk. Do yourself a favor and if you're in a car just keep it easy and use the parking garage across the street

  • 4/5 Kris G. 8 months ago on Google
It was a nice place to visit at night when it wasn't so hot. Sort of a calm place in the middle of the city. I would recommend you go visit it, if you are in the area. Not sure it's worth driving in just to see this though.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a really unique park in downtown Fort Worth. I was pleasantly surprised by how large the living water structures are. There are 4 different areas, 3 of which have water and one is a climbing area. It is really fun to visit during the day, but be careful because there isn't much shade so it can get quite hot! Also there is no swimming or wading allowed in the pools.

  • 5/5 Lindsay G. 8 months ago on Google
The Water Gardens are lovely and everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. We went in December and the weather was perfect.

Fort Worth Water Gardens: An Oasis of Tranquility and Architectural Beauty Designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson, the Fort Worth Water Gardens opened its doors to the public in 1974. Since then, it has been praised for its innovative design and captivating features. Spanning over four acres, the Water Gardens feature a series of distinct areas, each offering a unique and immersive experience. The centerpiece of the Water Gardens is the Active Pool, a terraced collection of cascading waterfalls that lead visitors to the lower level. The rhythmic flow of water creates a soothing ambiance, making it a popular spot for relaxation and meditation. Visitors can wander down the terraces and experience the tranquil allure of this cascading wonder. Adjacent to the Active Pool, the Aerating Pool presents an impressive display of fountains and mist-filled air. This area provides a refreshing respite during hot Texas summers, enticing visitors to dip their feet in the cool waters or simply revel in the spray's refreshing mist. Perhaps one of the most visually arresting sections is the Quiet Pool, a serene and reflective space featuring a large, calm basin surrounded by lush greenery. This area invites visitors to escape the urban clamor and enjoy a moment of tranquility amid the city's hustle and bustle. The gardens are free to the public, making it an accessible and enriching experience for all.

Super cool place. We weren't expecting it in the middle of the city like it was. Definitely one of a kind and since it's free I recommend it to anyone in the area. There's three different water areas, each with their own defining characteristics.

  • 5/5 Mark S. 1 year ago on Google
This gem is located pretty much in downtown Fort Worth. Very fun place to walk around and it gives you the feeling of not being in a busy city area. Walking down the large stairs to the water hole is a must. Have a fun time Cheers !

  • 4/5 Yasser I. 1 year ago on Google
It’s a place (you’d least expect) in the middle of downtown.. the place has step construction to depict mountains and waterfalls. The water fountains and step falls are soothing to look at and flowing water creates a mesmerising acoustic experience. You can walk down the steps and enjoy a 360 degree view of water pouring from all sides. We visited on a sunny weekend and it was quite busy (although not over crowded for comfort). It’s a great place to catch up with friends and family, especially for the kids. I recommend this place to be on a must visit list of everyone exploring around this area! Important things- 1. Roadside parking is close-by and free on weekends 2. Moderate level of physical abilities required to climb up and down 3. Plenty of trees around so there’s always some shade in case the day is too bright and warm.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a unique place that is worth the visit. Located downtown and adjacent to the Convention Center, there are three different water features/pools to observe: the aerating, the quie pool, and the active pool. The Quiet Pool was definitely my favorite because I found it so beautiful and serene. The active pool is an architectural and engineering marvel and super cool to see, but it was really busy with crowds. I would suggest maybe an early weekday visit to help with that issue. The Water Gardens are a marvel and definitely worth the visit.

  • 5/5 Abay Q. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely side getaway. Perfect spot to sit and rest for a bit. There are 3 water areas to explore, and each is unique. There's also the mountain. It was nice with a bit of shade and wind to cool off in. Parking is on the side streets, so bring quarters.

  • 5/5 Smevin B. 1 year ago on Google
I feel pretty safe calling this a mandatory visit, it's among the most chill spots in the city and doesn't take long at all to walk through. You can climb a mountain, you can walk down into a gorgeous pool, you can take more pictures than is necessary (I certainly did), and you won't spend a dime. An absolutely beautiful spot that had me feelin nice and zen😌

  • 4/5 Will B. 1 year ago on Google
Looking at pictures online, we were expecting a lot more. It seems like water was shut off in a few of the areas, so that changed our perception of the water garden. However, the water garden was very clean. It's a nice location to hang out at, converse, and enjoy the quietness of the area. Was cool to see, but would like to come back when everything is running like it's supposed to.
