For those inclined, the Fort Worth Ale Trail that is organized through the visitor's center is one of the neatest ways to experience a city's local beer scene. Look it up!

Beautiful little city with incredible photo opportunities. Easy to walk the entire city on a cool morning and take the free trolley. Established as an army outpost in 1849, Fort Worth, Texas, is known as “Cowtown" for its cattle drive history. Located along the Trinity River where millions of cattle were herded on the Chisholm Trail, Fort Worth calls itself the "place where the West begins." During the wild era of cattle drives that passed through Fort Worth, gambling parlors, saloons, and bakeries sprang up around town and became known as “Hell’s Half Acre." When oil was discovered in Texas, such refinery and pipeline companies as Sinclair Refining Company, Texaco, and Humble Oil and Refining Company (later Exxon Company, U.S.A.) established operations there, it led to the establishment of oil stock exchanges in Fort Worth.

The Visitors Center sits just off of Sundance Square and is a great place to get current (and historical) info of area events.

The numbers for the Fort Worth visitor center and Dallas visitor center are all mixed up online and the lady answering the phone was very rude and almost blamed me for the wrong number displayed on the website. Very rude and unprofessional!

A nice little spot you’ll easily miss by walking past it. The guide there has an amazing personality and has interesting facts to tell you whenever you walk in.

Stopped in with my Fiancee to learn a bit more about the city and had a wonderful chat with LP. So wonderful to have a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador of the city downtown!
