It’s definitely worth to visit the Kimbell Art Museum. The museum has always interesting exhibitions. Beside the museum itself, the surrounding area is beautiful and good for a walk or for taking some nice pictures! Especially during evening hours it’s a quiet and beautiful place to stay for a moment This is another tiny but mighty museum in the US. I don't consider this museum as a big one but they have such a great collection. I am a big fan of European paintings and was surprised at quantity of them. Especially, there were enough impressionism. I loved this museum so much so went 2 days in a row. I was lucky to be there while exhibition of 'Turner's Modern World' was ongoing. Highly recommend to anyone who's visiting Fort Worth, TX.

It's one of the best art museums I've been to of all time. The architecture of the building itself had me awe-struck. The selection of art is diverse and gorgeous. There's an outdoor portion and two gorgeous buildings. Additionally, the entrance fee is free! Seems like when I went on a Sunday there was a family and friends event that brought in lots of kids and families. And they even had free ice cream from Melt when I was there!

Amazing free Museum, best I've been to. Lots of unique and very historical pieces. A must visit. The gift shop is nice but pricey.

The new “Slay” exhibition as a part of the permanent collection should be bringing crowds. It is not everyday that a Gentileschi and a Wiley are hanging in the same space. This museum only exhibited non American artists until now. I ended up with some free time on a recent Friday and had an amazing visit. Did you know that they have Michaelangelo’s first painting? The permanent collection here is outstanding. There are so many artists from the traditional artistic canon. The gift shop has so many amazing art books to choose from. They cafe has pleasant options for food and wine. I happened to stop by when a live guitarist was playing for a small audience. It really made for a special experience. Another treasure in Fort Worth’s Cultural District.

I'm not sure how it looks on the inside, but based on the previous reviews, it looks beautiful. I didn't get a chance to go in but just outside of the museum seemed just as good. Lots of friendly people and the exterior designs were nice as well. Lots of great scenery all around there.

Amazing art work but all the employees looked miserable, very rude and gave the whole place a negative and heavy vibe. The exhibit I payed to get in was very disappointing and small. Not worth the value to get in. Recommend to just walk thru the free gallery.

We made a trip to the Kimbell to see the Turner exhibit today. The museum is always beautiful and clean while the staff is always helpful and friendly. The Turner exhibit is beautifully curated and covers a variety of styles, materials, and size. Highly suggest catching this exhibit before it’s gone!

The Kimble Art Museum is a renowned building. The architect of the building, Louis Kahn paid special attention to the details of textures and lighting. People come from all around the world to visit this building and we are lucky to have this museum so close to us. I have come here more times than I can count. There is a free section which are the paintings and sculptures that are at the museum all of the time and then, they have the exhibit section which is one that needs to be paid for. They offer a membership as well. There is a newer addition to the art museum done by the famous architect, Renzo Piano which is a beautiful building as well. They also have a cafe in the museum with great food and really good tea. I would highly recommend coming to this museum.

We love this place. If you’re in Fort Worth Texas and you have at least an hour do you need to go see the free exhibit at least. Or pay to see some of their traveling exhibits. This is your one stop shop for global culture in Texas. I’ve been to art museums all over the world, Singapore Tokyo London and Paris. Of All of them the Kimball Art Museum ranks tops in my book. Howdy’all 🤠

This is my favorite art museum in the DFW area. They have a fantastic collection of art (ranging from ancient Asian, to classical European, to modern sculptures). The size of the campus is great, and you do not feel so overwhelmed by the amount of things you need to see. Even on busy days, you will not feel lost in a crowd. The interior of the building is engineered in such a way that you are not overwhelmed by noise or people on their busy days.

This is an absolute must visit museum for architecture lovers. Louis Kahn is one of my favorite architects and I love to just go and hang out on half price days (Tuesdays and Fridays). Thinking about becoming a member. It's a top place to take family and friends who are visiting.

Although the Kimbell Art Museum has a relatively small collection of around 350 works of art, they cover collections from Asia, Ancient America and Europe covering thousands of years. The buildings architecture is also unique and adds to the pleasure of a visit. The Museum also has a souvenir shop and an excellent cafe. Parking is easy and admission fees are very reasonable. A definite pleasure to visit this place.

Loved visiting the Kimbell Museum while in Fort Worth. Beautiful art on display, activities for the kids and the app that you are able to install is a huge bonus. We were also able to purchase some great prints of our favorite works. We enjoyed getting a bite at the cafe and sitting in the beautifully landscaped and shaded courtyard.

Great museum. I've been coming here for years. I love the additional building by Renzo Piano and the underground parking space. I recently checked out the Turner exhibition. It was busy but everyone was polite. Check out the museum when visiting Fort Worth.

No complaints about the collection obviously. Only downside from my visit was that the employees were weirdly rude. Got some serious passive-agressive attitudes from most of them and I was more confused than anything. Otherwise, got a good look into the minds of some artists, and, being a future art restorer, it was really cool.

Great museum with a large collection of art from all areas, as well as a large exhibit hall for traveling exhibits. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Beautiful building! Audio tours available and in person tours happen as well. Membership is well worth it if you visit frequently for the traveling exhibits! The regular collections are free to visit.

Visited the Kimbell Art Museum on a Saturday. Saw the Buddha, Shiva Lotus, Dragon exhibit, Piano area. Arrived early. Free parking. Parked by the front entry parking area, on site. Bought tickets at the concierge, military discount is accepted. You can book tickets online too. Download the Kimbell Art Museum app on your personal device and bring headphones to listen to the audio tour. There is a small Cafe on site if you wanna buy food. Lots of help on site, staff is on duty to assist. Pleasant, fun visit.

The Kimbell Art Museum is an excellent museum that any art aficionado or historical art fan will thoroughly enjoy. I recommend you spend a leisurely time enjoying the exhibits. Only one issue drops my rating from a perfect five stars to a four star and that is the fact that I come from a place where high level museums are free. Therefore, I found the price a bit steep.

A little treasure chest with a collection that, pound for pound, matches the world's greatest art museums. Among the jaw-droppers are Michaelangelo's first known painting and Caravaggio's Cardsharps. The Turner exhibit now on is a brilliant ride too.

It's a museum with a free entry right next to the Modern Art Museum. The architecture on the second floor is amazing with small hidden gardens around. You also get to go to a garden to pass to the Pavillon. The collection is amazing, and they also have works of many European artists such as Monet, Manet, Richter, and others. There is also a cafe where you could grab a house made refreshing drink for 2 Dollars.

I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever been to, yet it is a good place for European art between the Renaissance and modernism. I didn't see a whole lot of impressionist work, but a solid baroque selection. Parking garage is prestine.

One of my favorite places to visit in Fort Worth. Always clean and organized. A bit expensive, but that is to be expected. Every time I have visited, there is a decent amount of people. Buy the membership, its worth it!

The museum exhibit itself was cool. The staff was otherwise lacking in customer support. They required that kids as young as TWO years old keep a mask on. Well, I have a two year old and it's impossible to keep a mask on a two year old. She kept taking it off and they told us if she couldn't keep it on, then we had to leave. So we left. The people here have absolutely no common sense.

Looking for something to do on a Sunday during the environment we're dealing with my wife and I decided to check the Fort Worth museum district Upon entering the Kimball art museum we were confronted by a gentleman that said our face shields were not in compliance with their understanding of proper face masks and must use their face mask which I know to be inferior to what we were wearing... Every other establishment we have visited in the past 5 months here and out of state including airports and security were perfectly fine with our face coverings. Kimball needs to do better research and training to help employees understand what is acceptable and what is not!

Excellent & FREE art museum that has a little of everything. Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Renaissance, Dutch, Impressionism, etc. We were able to see a Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Monet, Cezzane, Munch, etc. Not a very large museum but perfect for my 11-16 year old children to see & discuss some excellent art for a couple of hours.

Wonderful & important free establishment on one side, great tour and informational staff. The best I've seen at a lot of contemporary art museums. The entry paid side is also very worth it, and always make sure to ask if you're eligible for school, military, etc discount so you don't miss out.

Unfortunately only got to spend an hour-and-a-half inside so I wasn't able to see everything. However everything was clean and well-kept. The only reason I took a star away was because it does not look like something that would inspire youth. But for adults that want a clean calm afternoon it's the perfect place to go to

Great, nice museum. Free and worth your time. They have a lot of intriguing paintings and interesting sculptures & rock art - some of which are thousands of years old. Lot of paintings by famous artists. Just go up the stairs once you walk in and everything up there is free and very nice. Required to wear mask, as did the dozen of employees. It took me 90 minutes to get thru all the art at a brisk pace that included reading descriptions of every other art piece. If you bring headphones, you can download the museum’s phone-app that has audio for every art piece. There are employees required to watch every space/room you step in so don’t be alarmed. It’s their job to make sure no one touches the art or uses flash photography. I really do recommend going here. It was my first art museum ever, and I really liked it. I would have paid to view this museum, but it was free which did get me to come in the first place. Ample parking. The paid-exhibit is in a whole different building behind the main Kimbell Art Museum beyond Kimbell’s artistic water installations. Everyone should check out the Kimbell Art Museum once. It’s literally free.
