😐 The horses were great, and it was nice getting a chance to ride again. The employees were knowledgeable and two out of the three were also courteous. Rhiley, on the other hand was very rude. Her attitude with everyone and repeatedly kicking her horse super hard, really ruined the experience. Whe... We loved our ride. It was far better value than Benbrook. We paid for an hour and actually got an hour on the horse. The trail was amazing with views of fort worth skyline. Our wrangler was a sweet kid with a good horse. It was fun will go again!

The horses were great, and it was nice getting a chance to ride again. The employees were knowledgeable and two out of the three were also courteous. Rhiley, on the other hand was very rude. Her attitude with everyone and repeatedly kicking her horse super hard, really ruined the experience. When we first got on the horses, she came around and grabbed our legs and moved them while adjusting the stirrups, without saying a word. It was just abrupt and odd to have someone move your leg around without first saying something. During the ride, she scolded multiple people when their horse tried to eat, trot or walk on the cement alongside the trail. Her tone was so condescending; it seems that she really likes being in a position that somehow gives her a sense of power. She truly needs a lesson on customer service. I grew up having horses, so I understand the role of the guides and the responsibility to keep everyone safe, but she was absolutely unpleasant to be around.

Take a covered carriage or stagecoach ride on the old Chisholm trail! I was here on a weekend and the stockyards were very busy. The stagecoach and covered carriage had long lines so I decided to come back the following Wednesday. To ride the carriages or stagecoach you need to get in line after the cattle drive is finished. Look for the big black water trough with a two-car length parking pull out. That is where the carriage will pull up so the horse can get a drink of water while the carriages are loaded up. The carriage ride last approximately 15 minutes. Once it is your turn, you can either pay cash or scan their QR code which will take you to their website. The cowboy driving the carriage offered to take my phone and help me get through the website quickly to the point of payment where he handed it back to me to complete with my name and credit card information. The cost is $16 per person, $10 for kids older than five according to the cowboy. According to the website, children younger than five ride free. The driver told a family that he has a $40 minimum before leaving, so if there's only one of you you might have to wait for a couple of additional passengers. The ride on the brick roads was a bit bumpy but gives you a good idea of what travel back in those days was like! Our driver entertained us with historical facts about the surrounding buildings and areas as we passed by. I really wish I had more time to do a trail ride, unfortunately the week I was here was very rainy. I was fortunate to visit during a break in the storm. Apparently the carriage does go out light rain or shine. The driver told us about driving the previous two days in the rain. 🥴 Very fun experience and well worth the price of admission!

Jackson Brown was amazing for my grandson’s first time riding a horse. He took the time to explain everything about the horse experience and how to handle the horse during the ride. He went above and beyond to show him everything and answer any questions that William may have had. Jackson made his first experience the best! William now is asking for his own horse! 😃 Would definitely recommend this experience for all riders and all ages! Ask for Jackson to be your tour guide.

Very friendly place. Definitely the Fort Worth experience. Be prepared to walk a lot. Some uneven brick paths could be a little tricky for those with wheelchairs or walkers. Petting zoo, mechanical bull ride, historical tours, shops & restaurants. Traffic & parking ($7-$10) can be tricky. Cattle drive down the street each day at 11:30 & 4. Family friendly.

We decided to come here for my mother's birthday and it was a blast. It was a 30 minute ride, but in those 30 mins we got to experience a lot. Everyone had a great time

The 1 hour trail ride was a nice experience, but if you’re like me and want more than “sit like this, hold your reigns like this and stay on”, I wouldn’t recommend. You get on and walk in a single file line the whole time. I would’ve enjoyed more of a “tour experience” with some history/guiding. It was definitely a stock yard experience, but not an educational one.

I came here because I was looking for a place to take my cousin horseback riding. I didn't know this place was as big and had more things to do. The staff with the horses were nice, friendly and communicated everything very well. The horses were well trained and a good amount to choose from. They had their own personalities as well. It was a nice experience. I would go back.

There’s plenty of other places for better horse back riding. I scheduled a ride for my mom and sister. The older angry face lady with blonde highlights gives you nothing but attitude. They threw my family members up on their horse without fixing the stirrups. While the nice younger blonde was trying to fix the stirrups the older angry face previously mentioned jumped on a horse and took off with the group. The poor girl was almost trampled. Upon returned they asked my sister if her foot was okay because she had to twist her foot inward and extend her toes just to stay in the saddle. Pretty disappointed in the care of this place ::::Message to the owner:::: So rather than address the issues you make excuses for the mistakes. Both my sisters stirrups needed adjusting but she can only get one done due to the fact you expert guide took off without the young lady being able to adjust the other stirrup. Hence the reason your worker asked if her foot was okay because she spent the entire ride in an awkward position. The balance happens in the saddle on a casual ride but what happens when the rider becomes unbalance and the stirrups aren’t adjusted properly? Leaves room for error correct? And just because it’s a casual ride means your horses can’t be spooked by something? You act like the group returning with actually injury is a success when you leave so much room for error. (Nothing happened so it’s okay) type attitude. By this response I have a suspicion that you are the older angry face woman who lead the ride.

When visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards, I highly recommend visiting the Stockyard Stables and enjoying a leisurely ride on part of the old Chisholm Trail along the banks of the Trinity River. Our horses Athena and Kit Kat were awesome, but the best part of our experience was our guide, Roma. Roma was super knowledgeable about the area and was quick to point out places of interest along the way. We were excited to see and learn about a place near the river where they had been filming the new Yellowstone series, 1883. Her knowledge and excellent horsemanship really added to the experience and made for a great ride.

We had the most fun we’ve had in awhile all thanks to Kaylee (not sure exactly how to spell her name that’s my bad for not asking). She was very nice and fun to talk to the whole time, and made my week. I’m a soldier leaving tomorrow to go back overseas, and haven’t been able to trail ride in awhile so this was definitely worth the money!

If you have 50$ to throw away, then yes, was a decent experience, good people, well trained horses. 50$ for 30 min/70 $ for 1hr of pure horse walk on the backyard of stockyard. No additional stories told, nothing more than ride in silence. So again, if you like riding horse. Then don’t go.

I feel very robbed of what should have been a nice experience for my boyfriend and I. First of all this place isn't the easiest to find and no one answered the phone when I called several Times before my scheduled ride time. I booked a 30 min ride for $50 each. The instructions given to us about how to ride and give instruction to the horses were very vague! And the horses didn't even react or respond to half of them, if I had no experience riding I would have been scared! Our guide was less than personable and his horse didn't seem to like him very well because he wouldn't follow direction well. It took us literally 20 min to get to the trail along the trinity because of car traffic and that damn train!! We had to be in a straight line and I couldn't even see my boyfriend to enjoy the ride with him. Some poor girls horse decided to go his own route and again we had to stop and wait for the guide to go round her up. This was by far the worst riding experience I've ever had. They should have started out ride time once we passed the RR tracks!! I feel I should have a refund but I doubt that will happen. But if I can save anyone else from a bad experience and some money by my review then I feel like that is restitution enough!

We arrived on time (30 minutes early) but they were late, due to parade. We waited over an hour. NON-REFUNDABLE. I was given a mule (not a horse!) I was almost kicked 3 times by the horse in front of mine before we even left the lot. You pretty much ride along the sidewalk. Staff inattentive and ZERO wow factor. Disappointed.

I was a rodeo queen when I was younger but my daughter had never been on a horse so I wanted her to have a great adventure for Christmas. We had such a blast. The horses were super sweet - I loved Jasmin so much. The staff were all incredibly friendly. Now my daughter is wishing my family still had horses.

The Ft. Worth stockyards is a great place to visit if you want to experience Texas. We had a memorable time horseback riding! The guides were very informative, professional and they assign a horse to you based on your weight and experience. They were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this place! 👍🏼

This was my granddaughter's very first trail ride and she was absolutely mesmerized. The horses were very calm and enjoyable to ride. Leighton did a wonderful job of leading our group and he was very attentive to all of our needs. We enjoyed our full 60 minutes of riding and will most likely come back when we are in Fort Worth again. Thank you to the crew at the Stables for your professionalism, friendliness and carefulness for all of its guests. I would highly recommend!

Enjoyed the horse but did not enjoy my guide. Also, I do not like the way she treats horses; she is super harsh. Felt so bad for them.

This was a trip for my daughters 16th birthday and we chose to do the 1 hr ride. The guys there were very informative and the horses were amazing. The ride was peaceful and we enjoyed every part of it. The guy leading us and I had a good conversation and he was a humble guy. I would recommend the stables to anyone wanting to ride.

My experience is just okay. I was hand picked out to ride Frank which I felt like it was bc I was taller and bigger than everyone else. Frank was not properly trained he did whatever he wanted to do which kind of ruined my riding experience. The whole time I was riding I was just focused my safety Vs enjoying the ride.he also kept trying to kick back and hit other horses. I couldn’t wait to get back. The people were great and seem like everyone else had fun but I had terrible time.

Really enjoyed trying something new especially because the weather was amazing… the staff wasn’t the best though. I was encouraged by my tour guide to NOT read the waiver that I was required to sign (waiver which included things like the company not being responsible for injury or death by the way). During the ride, the guide was yelling at us when the horses fell out of line, but I’m pretty sure that besides himself, no one was trained in horse riding, so naturally we’d have a lack of knowledge or confidence to control horses we’d met less than an hour before. Much more that could be said, but again I did at least enjoy riding a horse and the view.

I had the absolute best time!! I forgot both of the guides names?! But the girl was only 18! She was bubbly and wild at heart, so personable. And the guy he was hilarious made me laugh the entire time! They were a hoot! If I could give them both a 10 star I would ❤️

The horses were very well cared for and were well behaved. Our trail guide, Zack Mellow, was very friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the Fort Worth Stockyard area who wants to ride a well behaved horse and take a low key ride with nice scenery showing the City of Fort Worth in the distance and along the Trinity River (on the 1 hour ride). We highly recommend!!

We had the best experience with these horses! The wranglers all really care about these animals and know what they're doing around them. The horses were very well behaved and Emma did a great job keeping an eye on everybody to make sure we were okay in the heat! I would 100% recommend this experience for anyone

Had an amazing experience horseback riding today at the stockyards stables. Our wrangler Emma did a fantastic job, was friendly, and you could tell just how much she cared for the horses and enjoyed taking people on the rides. This is definitely a must if you are going to fort worth stockyards.

First time riding a horse on a trail. The horses were perfect walking near cars. The guide was good. The staff was great. We were a few mins late and that was ok.

Poor customer service If my little ones didn’t care to go in I would have changed my mind about paying you guys, it’s a kids place more than anything else Make sure you put someone there who is happy and would talk to kids and there parents in a nice way. Didn’t like the place at all especially the kid in charge Man he is ready to fight or had a bad day and trying to get it out on customers If you want to do something like this search for places where it’s not a main attraction for tourists, there is a lot of private owned places that need the money and will treat you better AND WILL BE HAPPY TO HAVE YOU What a shame!!!!!!

Amazing experience! My husband and I loved the horses and the instructor was super cool. Definitely will be going back. Worth the hour! Side note: my husband is over the 235lbs limit. They had a bigger horse for him. Giants are welcome!

My husband and I took the 330 minute ride. The horses were great! Jasmine is a good steady ride. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't see anything that was cause for alarm. All the horses were fat and happy. Well behaved and gentle. I am an experienced rider so it was a relaxing day.
