My husband had a medical emergency, but because he looks like a relatively healthy person we were not taken seriously. We told the EMT’s and nursing staff that he had previously had a stroke and it turns out he was experiencing a 2nd. The EMT’s reluctantly brought him to the ER where the staff made him sit slumped beside me while I completed paperwork. Once we were brought to an exam room they ran generic tests, gave him an anti-nausea pill, and left us alone for about 4 hours. A nurse checked on him a few times and that was it. Finally, I went to the nurses station for an update & what do you know? The test results just now came back. When I returned to my husband I told him to smile & nod no matter what the results said so we could leave and go to a better hospital. All of this being said, the room was disgusting.

This hospital is one of the worst I have ever experienced. I would not trust their hands. They are not efficient and give poor treatment to their patients. I would not recommend going here for help. My brother was poorly treated and passed away under their care. They refused to let me see him but only told me about him being an organ donor, they were unable to tell me his cause of death but that they were taking his organs. If this is your closest hospital I would recommend getting shipped else ASAP. Please for your safety and health find help elsewhere. I am reporting this medical center in order to save a life because I couldn’t save my brothers.

This hospitals very rundown and out of date. Hospital staff is definitely not up to par. I got here to the emergency room around 6:45pm. I've been in a room for almost 3 hour with no updates. I have rang the hospital bell and no one has come. What's crazy its not even swamped in here. There's a handful of people here. And the staff is struggling. I think the owners should consider selling this hospital or find investors to help update The actual facility and get better quality staff. I had to ask to get discharged without any results. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY! I wouldn't to put my life in there hands. I will definitely not come back. A reply to the owners. Instead of writing a generic message to make it seem like that you guys are concerned. You have access to my medical information from when I visited that night. My contact information is on there. I will be more than happy to share my experience.

I visited the emergency room at this hospital and was SUPPOSED to be admitted. When I told the technician that I was claustrophobic he laughed.. and spoke down to me. My daughter came in and spoke to employee. I came in to get her.. passed out and when I woke up she was screaming saying I still don’t have a wheel chair. No one came to assist the patient that was supposed to be admitted? The notes that you provided the hospital were not accurate.

My dad is currently in this facility for 8 days now and it’s been a horrible experience with the staff and care. It’s a training hospital it appears: No compassion, feels like a psych ward with hearing loud voices bordering on yelling from other rooms of the staff and patient interactions. Rooms are filthy with bugs. My mom found a full syringe of medicine this morning that was never administered and instead was found underneath him in the bed. This place has done nothing but cause anxiety in my dad and his loved ones. I’m very disappointed in the medical staff here and they scare me.

Horrible horrible facility!! Day 1: no history taken, no blood drawn, 1 x-ray and a rude staff, Dr. Gave me some far fetch suggestions and sent home. Day 2: I'm much worse, I go back, they do a CT scan and draw blood, now I get a diagnosis, get meds and sent home. Day 3: not reacting well to medication, they take my BP but can't get a reading then get frustrated with me because of it, get in a room, extremities are going numb at this point I ring the call button no response I proceed to hit it about twenty more times before I walk out of my room, only to see every single nurse behind the counter on their phones. My husband quickly brought me somewhere else. They did not seem to want to do anything for me. Not sure how this hospital operates but it's definitely not professional.

This was by far the worst hospital I’ve ever been too. The nurses were ok, but the doctor was very rude and did not seem to care for my reason being there. He opened the door and immediately said “so what’s going on” he did not greet me in a friendly or caring tone. It seemed as he was maybe irate, but being a professional doctor you should now to respectfully communicate with patients no matter who they are what they’re in there for. This doctor does not need to be in his position if he treats all of his patients the way he treated me. The guy who took my temperature was very rude too. This is not a welcoming hospital and it needs to be staffed with people who actually care about their patients. I do not recommend anyone going to this hospital.

I really can’t say enough good things about the nurses, the receptionists, the technicians and the doctors I met here. I was seen immediately, and every single person was helpful and treated me like a human, not just a patient. Nobody wants to go to the emergency room - but the staff did everything in their power to make it a positive experience, in any way they could. Thank you so much DMC staff - your kindness was very appreciated.

Couldn't give 0 stars. This ER was an absolute disgrace! Came into the ER with kidney stones, which I normally wouldn't do, but the pain was so bad that I had passed out twice at home. Was asked if I wanted to be admitted upstairs, which I declined, then was given a very mild pain reliever and told that I couldn't take up one of their ER rooms. After the nurse told me, "next time, just drink a lot of alcohol, because it will kill the pain and should help me pass the stones", I was physically removed from the room and got put into some waiting room off to the side where there were 3 or 4 other visibly unwell people. They said I couldn't leave because they just gave me a painkiller (which did not work). Well, I left immediately because I felt unsafe...Well after that nightmare of a maybe 30 minute "visit", I now have a bill for over $2,500 after insurance! I'm in the process of getting an itemized bill for all of the "services" they provided, in which I will immediately dispute. At the end of the day, unless you're dying, DO NOT go here. It will 100% be worth your time going anywhere else but here. ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE!!

My doctor neglected to care for me for 2 hours after arrival, he wanted to see drug results. As a vomiting patient I was forced to chug water until I could pee, even though I stated I could not hold down water. The provider stted he would not provide medial care unless I could prove that I was sober and had not smoked weed. Ive never been in an ER and not received any blood work completed or an IV. The doctor also submitted me for a CT and did NOT complete a pregnancy test, he ONLY sent a urinalysis for drugs to the lab. I was checked in and placed in a bed at 3, I didn't receive ANY care until 4:45 almost 2 hours later. This neglect caused my pain to increase to a point where morphine had to be given. I arrived earlier during my vomiting episode to receive care before the point when my pain was unmanageable but the staff neglected me for hours. I will be contacting a lawyer for medical malpractice. The last time I saw this provider in July he neglected to care for me and refused because I had marijuana in my system (which takes 30+ days to clear out), and I was admitted for a blood transfusion the very next day. I will be contacting legal.

They literally do not care about patients in the ER. My daughter in law came in because she kept fainting. They ran blood work and told her to take more iron but she's fine. We got the test results back and her Hemoglobin was 7. Another hospital said she should've been given a blood transfusion and lucky she didn't get worse or die. Dr. Alves Edwards should lose his license to practice. How do you see that someone has a Hemoglobin score of 7 and tell them to take more iron?

I brought my daughter to the ER on a Sunday for an ear infection. We got registered, saw Dr. Tim (awesome ER Doctor), Nurse Eila took good care of us. We were in/out faster than we thought. Thank you for your great service.

I was admitted last week and stayed a few days. Except for a nurse rudely opening the bathroom door and stood there asking if i needed a towel which she had just given me 3!, my main complaint is that my doctor asked me to come seem him when i get out. And that his office was across the street. The number they gave me is not his. I have left several messsages everywhere and dr.ketan patel doesnt call me. I have no doctor. My old one does not take medicare. So im about to just quit.

Worst ER I've ever been to. My nose was pouring blood like a water hose so bad that even when I plugged one nostril my other started pouring and even blood was running down my throat. I got super dizzy and had terribly blurred vision. My blood pressure was 160 over 100. I went to this place around 630 in the morning. It was dead as a doornail there and still wasn't seen until 7am. I could barely form sentences or write when filling out paper work. Front desk was doing their job efficiently I will say that forth and foremost. But the doctors and nurses were terrible. The nurse was good, but the doctor came in with no paperwork. Didn't even know my vitals or anything. Downplayed my whole condition and treated it as if nothing happened. No blood work ran. No tests. Dude didn't even know my name. How unprofessional. The definition of malpractice. I am still feeling terrible the day after and blood pressure is dumb. I highly recommend driving miles out of your way to another hospital. Parkland is way better. Worth the wait compared to this place

Horrible, nurses were rude and on edge. From the room I could hear them literally give the doctor attitude and telling him “that’s not helpful” and just up right ignorant. There’s no type of nice communication and takes foreverrrrrrr to get anywhere. Plus it’s so dirty. There’s garbage on the ground, doesn’t look like it’s been swept or wiped or at least sprayed.

I had an awesome experience, the staff were wonderful. Mrs. Sylvia was wonderful during my blood work and EKG procedure the day before my surgery. My nurse Mary was awesome and very caring in preparing me for my surgery. All other staff from Dr. Ray, the anesthesia staff and the recovery nurse were excellent! I was very well taken care of.

I had an awful experience with this hospital due to their extremely inept doctors and staff. I visited them following a car accident with rib injuries. After conducting X-rays, the doctor assured me that I had no fractures, just sore muscles, and prescribed painkillers along with a report. However, the same night, I experienced excruciating pain and reviewed my report, which clearly stated that I had a fracture. In response, I returned to the hospital today and explained the contradiction between what I was told and what the report said. After checking their system, they informed me that I actually had two rib fractures. This hospital's doctors and staff demonstrated such incompetence that they provided me with incorrect information about my injuries. This misinformation caused me severe pain for two nights, potentially leading to broken ribs or even more serious injuries. Consequently, I strongly advise against seeking medical attention at this hospital as it may not be safe.

Fantastic Team at Dallas Medical Center in Farmer’s Branch, Texas. I was in the Emergency Room and then admitted into the hospital Tuesday-Friday a few weeks ago. The ER team including patient registration were both personable and compassionate. A simple thank you is not enough for my surgical team, especially my nurse Mary. To the 5th Floor / 5 East where I sent for my recovery. Thank you so much for taking care of me. Let me say that “Excellence “ is not a skill but an attitude and your outstanding care really contributes massively to the success of this hospital. Your smiles meant a lot to myself and my family.

I was in the ER on 2/25/22. Within 5minutes I was checked in and the RN, Mary was waiting at the door to take me to the room. Very polite and professional. In about 10minutes, the ER doctor, Dr Brownlee, came in. Very nice and attentive to me. He examined me and ordered some labs. Another nurse, Eugene, came in to check on me while waiting for the results, very very nice guy. I asked for a pain relief for my throbbing headache. He went to tell the Dr and came back in a jiffy to give me something IV. I will give these guys a 10 star if possible. I was discharged same day after the results came back normal. My experience at DMC ER, was so smooth, fast and thorough that I believe this hospital should be better recognized in the community.

Most Hospitalizations are not pleasant, but, my admission to Dallas Medical Center was one that I won’t forget because every person who came into my room from housekeeping, to dietary, to nursing, ancillary staff, physicians, all were very kind and showed compassion and this meant a lot to me. They were all very passionate about their work and you can tell by their attitudes they enjoy caring for patients. Thank you Dallas Medical Center!

Brought my 7 month old here because an urgent care I took her to the night before brushed off her almost 104 fever. They were able to do the necessary tests to see why she had fever and the regular meds were not helping. The doctor was so kind and explained everything very thoroughly. The nurses were also so kind and caring.

I am giving my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at this so called "HOSPITAL ER" no stars. I got food stuck in my throat and had a seizure at my residence. I could not speak because of the Versed medication that was given to me by the paramedics. I could hear what was being said and done to me. Whomever was in my so called"ER ROOM" was using expletives as they tried to "make me" respond to them. They put padding on my bed to protect me from hitting the bed rails. I was so very glad because of what the male nurse did to me. He kicked my bed, hit my head with his fist and then poured cold water on my face. I honestly don't know why he did this to me. But, I am thankful for the padding on the bed rails. The padding kept me from being hit directly and h urting more. As soon as I was able,I, walked out of their hospital and got REAL HELP at another ER!!!!!. This "HOSPITAL NEEDS TO BE CLOSED AND/OR GET NEW MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!! DO NOT ENTER THE DOORS OF THIS ER OR "HOSPITAL" !!!! They are incompetent!!!!!

From the moment I walked in until my discharge I had an exceptional experience. Check in was smooth, due part to the calls I received the day prior to sort out insurance and my required preparation. The medical staff put me right at ease. Everyone was personal and caring; I know I am a skittish patient and their care meant the world to me. I have always believed people are the foundation of any organization and DMC staff certainly proved that to me. They all made an uncomfortable procedure so much easier and I am very grateful. Thank you all.

This hospital unnecessarily ran my mother through 3 exams (two CT scans and a medically induced MRI). After looking at the bloodwork and the pee test, it was obvious that one abnormal metric showed that it was indeed a UTI. Doctors told her she had possibly had a stroke or BPPD, this is completely unprofessional. We are highly considering legal action against this hospital. The ER was completely empty when we got there and I understand why. It appears they only wanted to bill her insurance and even admitted her unnecessarily. Simple antibiotics helped her, two days could have been really an hour. Disappointed and emotionally drained from this whole situation.

After two positive covid tests and moderate symptoms I went to the ER because I was unable to contact my PCP. I waited in the waiting room for an hour and then placed in holding cell. Took my vitals and a chest X-ray and then after three and half hours they did a covid test. After 4 hours Dr. Edwards DO walked in and told me I had Covid. He didn't like it when I told him I knew that before coming to hospital. He said the only thing he could offer was to hospitalize me and put me on IV fluids which "might" help. The doctor prescribed Plaxlovid but when I asked if it would cause problems with other health issues I have he recommended I talk about it with my PCP Really an unpleasant person. I would not recommend this place.

Front desk check in clerk Charlotte was the 1st good experience I had with DMC. She was welcoming with a smile. Nurses Shanta & Claudine was great. Made me feel very comfortable and kept checking in on me. Dr Parisian was great! After checking me he sit beside the bed and discussed what was going on. He insured I understood and was comfortable with what he explained. I loved my experience and the wait time was short. I went through emergency care, my experience overall was great. Thank you DMC & all involved with my visit. I feel so much better now. Highly recommend the emergency care!!! Ophelia Davis

I came through the ER to go up to a detox program they have in the hospital at this time. And the ER was nice, and I hate needles but Ralph was amazing and even after I had attitude he still stuck me painlessly and was cool. I had to wait alittle bit but they were behind and the cops were dealing with something so it was expected

My wife had a medical emergency and unfortunately this was the nearest hospital. We were admitted rather quickly but I think this is because no one would willingly go here. After well over six hours of the 'doctor' not knowing what to do and us complaining we were told "there's nothing we can do for you." They don't have the staff for a true emergency. Called my wife's doctor and we went to Medical City Dallas. She immediately underwent EMERGECY sugary. ABOUT THEIR RESPONSE They responded asking that that I send them my contact info. They didn't provide any way for me to reach them with my contact info. Update - Five days later - Not surprising that they still have not responded. I looked through their website and there are eight people in leadership roles. I suppose I could spend a couple of hours looking for who they want me to contact but they are not worth my time.

I went with my dad to get a check up for his platelets levels after being hospitalized for a week and we got a bad experience with one of the which I believe was an RN. He was brown(Indian) wearing scrubs. He asked how my dad was and I told him the only concern was that he had really bad back issues when getting up. He completely ignored the issue and told us he was fine. We were in the room for about 3 minutes before being dismissed. Methodist you need to do better about who you hire. This is unacceptable.

Came in through for an emergency visit. Not sure if it was a quiet day or a normal thing, but no one was in waiting, so I showed up and got saw practically right away. The staff there was very responsive, helpful, a very friendly, especially the guy that gave me the cat scan. While nothing serious was wrong, just my muscles around my lungs were inflamed, they checked everything they could to make sure I was good. Hopefully I won't get price gouged for my visit.

To call this place clownish is to be insulting to any clowns anywhere. I went there with a chest injury and they gave me a CT scan although I asked for an ultrasound. Why? Because CTs are reimbursed through Medicare at a much higher rate than an ultrasound. Additionally, the skill set and knowledge needed to perform a thorough ultrasound is more than many techs have or even want to. CTs miss a lot, but they do a very good job of paying the bills. When the CT came back negative, they simply discharged me, Standard Discharge: Follow-up with your primary. Though it took a while, I finally found someone with the skills and knowledge to do the ultrasound - the results were both a muscle tear and an injury to the 11th rib.. Don't even think about going to the Dallas Medical Center. It is not only a waste of time, money and energy; It puts your health at risk.

Within 30 minutes of getting to the ER, a cardiologist was explaining the tests that needed to be done and what he thought was the probable cause of my issues. He allowed and encouraged me to make my own decision based on the facts he presented (Dr. Yaqub). He was matter of fact which helped me to feel clear when I made the decision. In the end, I felt good about the treatment choice because he helped me understand my options and my needs based on the issues I was having. The nurses were kind and even charged my cell phone for me when the battery was nearly dead. This enabled me to stay in communication with my support team at a critical time. The nurses explained things well. They made sure I was safe.

Talk about neglect. Came into the ER with immense pain. Was told I would be seen shortly literally waited over 20minutes. Another person walks in with rash symptoms they get seen first. I literally came in the ER crying in pain could barly fill out my paper work. And was told to just wait. No exam nothing just have a seat. Treating me as if I am some drug addict looking for a quick fix. The Medical Neglect and choosing which patient they feel like seeing is incredibly aggregious. Especially when you have a patient who's in tears crying from pain just told to sit there and wait. While you tend to someone who is more fair skin first. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to rodents. The way I was treated my first time here in immense pain and told to wait.

After a recent cut, I went to Dallas Medical Center. After filling out a few pages of paperwork, I was taken to a room and the nurse checked my BP. Within 10 minutes, the doctor examined me and recommended I have staples to close the wound. I left the facility about 15 minutes later with instructions and a medication sample. I returned 10 days later and saw the same doctor, who removed the staples. The staff was efficient and courteous. I joked with the staff saying that I would like to see them again.

I was brought into the ER here from my government job and the handoff from the EMT into a room was outstanding. The nurses and doctors were amazing, kept me informed on everything that was happening and was kind to my supervisor that accompanied me. I felt valued and with an elevated heart rate and being unsure of my left chest pain, they put me in a room and monitored me overnight and I saw a cardiologist the next day to perform a series of heart tests/exams. I am very pleased with my quality of care here at DMC.

This is by far the absolutely best place to get physical therapy. Why? They have a gym size room filled with every machine you will ever need. The physical therapists are all very friendly, professional and excellent in their field. Easy FREE parking- right outside the door. Easy access, right off I-635 at Webbs Chapel in Farmers Branch/Northwest Dallas. My husband and I have used this physical therapy facility for years and have always been very pleased. We wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

My review is actually going to solely focus on the security officer who helped me, Walton. I am 37 weeks pregnant and found myself in a very stressful situation that easily could’ve thrown me into labor! Walton was simply incredible. He stayed with me to make sure I remained calm throughout and reassured me whenever I began getting worked up again. His calm demeanor, his time and assistance, and his commitment to helping people is all just truly a gift. Thank you, Walton. You are my hero!

Seen immediately by all staff: registration, nurses, doc, and CT tech. I arrived at 9:30pm and was home in 3 hours, which I was mentally prepared to be at the ER for 8 hours. Staff were respectful, nice and clearly had teamwork. I understand all healthcare is struggling, and I probably came in on a chill night. But, I was shocked in a good way. I expected mediocre, and got the best.
