Great spot to visit when on Martinique. Great views, clean and quiet gardens. They have some dining options which we didn’t try, but we did feed the fish which was only 0.5 euros and the kids loved it! Highly recommend when visiting this island.

Certainly worth a visit. It's not exactly a botanical garden more a tropical garden with beautiful trees and plants. I would say it's even better than a botanical garden because you're not bothered with all the Latin names of all that grows. There is a wonderful walkway through the treetops. There is a local bus that stops right in front of the entrance.

A magical botanical garden in the forest. It's fascinating to walk there and see all the plants. There is also a challenging walk on a rope bridge

DANGEROUS!! Do not use the “bridges” the ropes used are from 2009 and rotten by the years of sun and rain. The park manager ignores my warnings and states the safety is ok. Don’t get me wrong, the garden is beautiful and worth the visit. Safety should be priority number 1 !

What an amazing botanical garden. Even though it's not that big, the entire road towards it and after it feels like it's part of the same place. Lush vegetation, lots of flowers and the view at the end is breathtaking.

A popular tourist destination in Martinique, Jardin de Balata is a stunning tropical garden with alluring views everywhere you look. Located north of Fort De France, Balata gardens has countless of tropical plants and palm trees from around the world. You can spend hours visiting the manicured gardens, while taking in the local birds and animals within the lush scenery. A memorable visit and highly recommended!

It’s a (nice) tourist attraction, rather than a (science-oriented) botanical garden. One example is the treetop walkway. Parking was in short supply - because it’s popular and well advertised. The grounds are nice, but I wish for more explanations.

I greatly enjoyed my visit to the gardens today with my family. A wide variety of plants, flowers, and trees to see. Many variety have signs explaining what they are and where they're from. Though built on the side of a hill, the walk around the gardens is easy and doesn't require any special footwear, I did it in sandals. This is a great spot for photos!

Beautiful garden with an exciting suspension bridge. Very nicely laid out with lots of different flowers. From the cruise port the taxi costs about $40.

Took the local bus here and we were absolutely blown away! Such good forest bathing. So serene. The lightning bug cafe next door is incredible too as is the little hike to get to a local waterfall nearby. The perfect day on a gorgeous island!

This was a great place to explore true rainforest feel. Only took us an hour to walk the entire trail. Including the suspended bridge walkway .

For sure the most wonderful bothanical garden ever. The way is structured, the armonized plants, the suspended bridge and the pond, just makes it magnificent.

Lovely botanical garden in Martinique. If you go on sunday, make sure you order a taxi for your return to town or to your cruise ship. Sunday all shops are closed and most of the people are taking off therefore there is no taxicab available.

Nice botanical garden, about 15 min drive from the capital. It’s in the higher grounds, there’s lots of exotic plants and a sky walk on ropes. Entry price is 16 eur, which felt a bit steep but since Alana gardens are one of attractions on the islands it’s kind of worth it.

Gorgeous place to visit! We went with my boyfriend and we had a lovely time there. It felt like we needed more eyes to see everything. So many plants everywhere! The views were amazing. There are some stairs, so some people might find it annoying, but there is a path specially made for people in wheelchairs or families with a baby stroller. Super worth it!

Absolutely beautiful. Grounds are spectacular. THE botanical gardens in Martinique. Restaurant, gift shop and restrooms. Some handicap accessible routes. Otherwise very hilly. Also has a walking bridge up in the trees.

Beautiful and definitely worth every penny! We had a memorable experience waking around this magnificent botanical garden. It’s a must visit place if you are on Martinique! You can see a variety of flora and the way it has been structured is great for visualization. We went just after the rain had stopped so colors were beyond vibrant! If you watch closely you can also see several lizards and Kolibris scurrying through the garden. Be sure to check out the rope bridge to get another perspective. We paid 16€ p.p. to enter. Parking space is limited so you may have to park on the side of the road. There’s two spots for this: just before reaching the garden and about 300m after passing the garden.

A beautiful garden with various tropical plants is located near the capital of Martinique. The main attractions are the footbridges in the treetops, which is a very nice experience. You can buy a ticket online and then show it on your mobile. One of the top places in Martinique:)

extremely fun. took about 2 hours to get around it. it's pretty easy to get here from Fort-de-France, just use the 25 bus, though it might disappear from time to time. the whole garden is beautiful and the most fun part are the rope ladders and bridges, you can see most of the part from up there. it's a lot of fun!
