This place is amazing! The staff is friendly, place is clean and satisfyingly organized. We love coming here because we get to try new uncommon beers. Make sure you visit when the kitchen is open. There is a small selection, but it's all tasty and fresh food. They have a delicious pretzel, refreshing salad, and the pickles that come with the melts are to die for. I think we have found our main drinking place.

First visit.. nice atmosphere.. rustic setting.. indoor/outdoor setting... 30 craft beers on tap... Service was prompt and friendly.. order at the bar as you enter. Food was excellent with nice portions . We split a Cuban Club .. . They served it on separate plates with chips and pickle on each .. thought that was nice of them.. . . .. . .

Right in the center of downtown Simpsonville. Great outside and spacious indoor seating. Plenty of bar seating too. They had 30 beers on tap when we were here, from all over the US! Outside that, they have a good looking food menu and a variety of non-alcoholic drink options too. We didn't eat this time though.

The beer selection is good and diverse. The atmosphere is chill. It was rainy when we went but I've seen the outside area and it's a nice little green space to have a beer and hang out. We didn't get food here but from what we saw walking by it looked good.

I come here about once a year when I visit family from out-of-state. I always enjoy the wide selection of draft beers. The service at the bar is always prompt. I took a sandwich to go and it was delicious also. I was amazed that Sara was the only one in the kitchen and could keep up with a large crowd all night long. It's a very nice place that I visit as often as I can. (I drank 'in' and took food 'out' but Google review template doesn't allow 2 choices)

Really good place. Cool location and pretty good bar food. Nice atmosphere and close to all the other downtown Simpsonville eateries/bars. Super nice owner and overall welcoming staff and atmosphere. Oh yea, and a great option of tasty beers lol! Check em out!

You order at the bar for everything so it feels like you are doing half the work. They only have boneless wings and they were small chicken nuggets, and neither flavor we tried was that good. The Caesar salad was good for the money, but not typically what you order at a bar. Outside seating is nice, but again, you trek inside to get your beer refills. Bougie.

Great atmosphere, lots of drink options and friendly staff. The food is good too! Love that you can sample the beers before choosing which one to drink.

Amazing beer selection with several sours and ciders to choose from. The food is great (their pretzel is amazing and HUGE!) and you can even sit outside and order BBQ from the place next door (if you don’t want to order from 1885). The staff is amazing and never gets frustrated with giving samples and even made a good recommendation for a “sour skittle” beer I thoroughly enjoyed. Such a great atmosphere & experience each visit, can’t wait to return!

Such a great spot. Fantastic selection of rotating beers. Staff is very attentive, food is good, and the outdoor seating area is dog friendly. Highly recommended.

If you need gluten-free options like I do (celiac), 1885 has a few seltzers (LOVE the blue quencher when they have it) multiple ciders, and they also carry 2 kinds of Glutenburg (which is a meh beer in my opinion). Their hummus platter can be made GF by subbing out the pita for chips or more veggies. What would be amazing is if they marked what was GF on the board/menu, so us GF people didn't have to pester the staff. Add a disclaimer that it's a shared space so you don't get messed with by a silly celiac who doesn't understand that eating out is a risk they are willingly taking on. Greenville/Simpsonville is coming around to the GF needs of celiacs, but there are a few steps that could make us more comfortable. I constantly look up menus online, I hate when I have to call a place and they seem flustered when I ask if they have a GF menu. Also, if the owner sees this review, thanks for being so great when we ask you to modify things for me. Great GF beer to look into would be Greens GF (especially the yellow label). I'd be happy to pay it's difference since it is a bit pricier than Glutenburg.

Great selections on tap and food is so good!! Their boneless wings are some of the best I've ever had! We came with our 2 kids and all had a good time! Beautiful outdoor patio and cute inside. Bartenders were so friendly
