Hot Springs Mountain Tower is a must see when visiting HS, Arkansas for sure! You get a beautiful view of the town below and surrounding mountains. Makes for nice photos. I've gone twice and would go again next time I vacation in Arkansas. Gift shop always has cute things to choose from. My husband bought me birthstone stud earrings the first time we went and a lovely ring the second time. Being way up high is always so exciting!

Great views but very windy! Recommend bringing a jacket if you visit the outside observation deck! The inside observation deck is the level below it, but the views are better from the very top of the tower. Wish we got to see the sun set all the way. Unfortunately, their hours say it closes at 5pm, but the tower actually closes at 4:30pm. Wish they would extend their hours, especially during the summer when the sun sets later because the views would be beautiful! Admission was $10/person and parking is free.

Decent hike to the top, small parking lot. $11 entry fee per person to the top, which was a bit of a bummer. Super small parking lot so get here early or hike. Tip - park in the lot just before the tower, where the bathroom is and then a quick, 2 min walk and you won't have to worry about fighting for parking.

Visited 7/3/23 My wife wanted to go up in this tower for our anniversary today. It’s a beautiful view of Hot Springs and the surrounding mountains. The elevator has a window and goes up the middle of the 216 ft. crossbeam structure that the overlook platform is built on. Lots of souvenirs in the gift shop at the bottom. Everyone should visit here at least once.

Hot springs mountain tower is 216 ft tower with an elevator up to an observation deck offers you to explore the view of mountain and downtown. For adults it cost $10. The waiting time is not long but we found it crowded even in Covid time. The place also offer you to explore small suvinor shop.

The Hot Springs Mountain Tower is a decent place to visit for tourists. It shows you an amazing view of the Hot Springs area. The shop below has some great souvenirs and an elevator for visitors to conveniently get to the top. The elevator does not have air conditioning though and neither does the indoor area at the top of the viewing site. The views at the top does have a great vantage point and is a amazing place for photos. There is also a 3 1/2mi trail if you decide to hike/walk to the tower. It's a scenic route with park and Hot Spring details and information posted all throughout the walkway path. If you enjoy high views and local history I recommend this location.

Easily accessible from the main road, plenty of free parking including for Handicap accessible Vehicles. The drive up is very nice with some view points. You can also walk up to the top There was not a long wait to buy tickets or for the Elevator to go up. You can also walk the stairs if you like. Excellent 360 view from the top with plenty of Historical Photos and information. There is a nice shop where you purchase the tickets.

Hot Springs Mountain Tower is a great attraction if you are visiting Hot Springs Arkansas. The tower provides an amazing scenic view of Hot Springs and all the mountains surrounding the area. There are numerous walking trails around the tower if you enjoy hiking. Elevators are provided to reach the top of the tower, if you want a challenge and great exercise there are stairs to walk to the top of the tower. Hot Springs is an amazing city and I highly recommend visiting.

Great views from the over look spot. Great positive energy! Great view of the city! We didn't get a chance to go up in the tower due to it being Christmas eve. Very understandable for sure! But I'm sure the view is amazing! It's a very peaceful serene place to walk and/or drive thru. We stayed in the Happy Hollow Hotel right at the base of the mountain. Close to the entrance and exit of the mountain drive/trails. Loved having access to the walking trails for early morning walk and meditation. Pics from the hotel shows the mountain tower and Honeysuckle walking trails.

You can drive up to the observation tower, but it's a pretty, albeit tiring hike to the top. Our kids really enjoyed it. The view is great and well worth the price. I Note: I should have thought twice about taking the stairs down.

A breathtaking view of Hot Springs and the surrounding area! If you are visiting for the first time, this absolutely needs to be on your list of things to do. The gift shop was cute and full of local souvenirs, the employees were very welcoming, and the top of the tower really is something to experience. The very top floor is open-air, while the floor just below has windows and goes into the history of Hot Springs, the tower, etc. I can tell you I have a pretty intense fear of heights, but I went up for our kids and I really did feel safe once I got to the top. If you're nervous about going, I'd encourage you to give it a shot. If you have young kids, be prepared for them to get to the top and say "Wow! We're up high! Can we go now?" 😂 You may have to do some speed reading to read some of the information on the enclosed floor. Honestly, I may have enjoyed the drive up and down the mountain as much as I enjoyed the tower! It was filled with switchbacks and was really a beautiful drive. Lots of places along the way to stop, see the sights, have a picnic lunch, and even walk some trails if you'd like.

I forgot how bad my vertigo was until we got into that dang tower elevator that has glass windows overlooking Hot Springs. 🤮 We went at around 4 pm during mid week winter. They stop doing tours to top of the tower sight seeing platform at 4:30 pm. From the moment we walked in, I felt rushed by the attendants. I bought a little merch and paid for 2 adults. It was over $50. There’s a ton of stuff in their gift shop. Be prepared to drop some $$$ if your partner is like me and needs a souvenir from every place you visit. I spent more money on gifts when we got back down from the tower because the gift shop doesn’t close until 5 pm and they don’t rush you out the door like they do to get you in the tower. If you are terrified of heights or have bad vertigo, be aware there is glass windows in the elevator. Going up was harder for me than coming back down. Elevator has 3 floors listed, but that’s way more than 3 floors high. You actually step out on a rooftop with fenced railing. It was very windy. We didn’t bring quarters to use the binocular machine. Take quarters if you want to go old school views. It was easy to zoom in with phone camera. Don’t forget to stop on second floor to see the mid-section displays. The history of the area is displayed along with 360 degrees of windows. Winter months do not have much foliage and beauty to look at, but it was nice to go in off season when not too crowded. It was hard to tell if the fog we saw was from the Hot Spring or because of the cool weather. For us, it was one and done. Not sure that we would have a desire to go back. Probably more enjoyable during summer or autumn or with more people in a group. Would be educational to take children. We might stop by to go walk the trails nearby or pick up something from the gift shop, but not sure it’s worth the $$$ for the winter view. Doubt my husband will want me to go back to that gift shop. 😂 Verizon cellphone service picked up in the area with no problem. To the lady who fell up the stairs going into the building, I waited until your friends picked your butt up and helped you into the building before I took the photo of the tower. Way to bounce back, girl. ❤️ Go at least once for the experience.

360 degree view up to 5 miles on a good day. What you see is downtown Hot Springs and a lot of trees and more trees for miles. Two levels are accessible. Second last level is barricaded with glass and exhibits explaining the history of the town. Last floor is partially obstructed and you can feel the wind on your face as you immerse in the breathtaking views of the town. Plenty of parking around the tower. 5 minutes easy drive through the winding roads from downtown. It is wheelchair accessible and has elevator. If you get a coupon book from the downtown visitor center, you get one free entry to the tower. They also offer military discount and if you are a military gold star family member, you further get a dollar off on already discounted military ticket. Restrooms are near the exit/gift shop.

Title: Ascending New Heights: A Visit to Hot Springs Mountain Tower Hot Springs Mountain Tower, located in the beautiful city of Hot Springs, Arkansas, offers a unique and breathtaking experience. As someone with an adventurous spirit and a penchant for panoramic views, I found my trip to the tower to be an exceptional encounter with nature's grandeur. Ascending the tower, you are welcomed by a view that is nothing short of mesmerizing. The lush greenery of the Hot Springs National Park, contrasted with the skyline of the city, offers a stunning vista that words can hardly do justice. From the tower's height of 216 feet, I was treated to a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape, a sight that will remain etched in my memory. The tower itself boasts an impressive architectural design that seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings. Its sturdy structure emanates a reassuring sense of safety, and the well-maintained viewing decks provide ample space for visitors to absorb the view without feeling crowded. The binoculars available on the deck are a thoughtful touch, allowing visitors to further explore the landscape in detail. Despite the dizzying height, the journey to the top of the tower is made comfortable and easy with the availability of an elevator. I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth and swift ride that quickly transported me to the top. The staff were helpful and informative, adding to the overall positive experience. Hot Springs Mountain Tower also offers an informative display detailing the rich history of the area. The exhibits, filled with interesting facts and trivia, added an educational dimension to the visit. I appreciated this opportunity to learn more about the region's past, making the trip not only visually stimulating but intellectually rewarding as well. In conclusion, a visit to Hot Springs Mountain Tower is a must when you're in the area. It combines the thrill of heights with the serene beauty of nature and the charm of the city, all while providing a unique perspective that can only be appreciated from the top. Whether you're a resident looking for a new way to appreciate your home or a visitor seeking a unique vantage point, the Hot Springs Mountain Tower should not be missed.

Beautiful uphill drive and nicely built tower. The best part was the elevator going up to the viewing deck. You could see miles away while going up. The views from the tower are awesome. You could see the buildings and the hotels around. Hot Spring, AR has so many trees. You could see the greenery all over the place from the tower. You also find the hot springs at the base of the tower while going back.

Worth checking out. Breathtaking views! Bring your National Park Pass for $10 admission. Staff is helpful and friendly and a cute gift shop. We got free ice cream. You can drive, walk/bike ride up the mountain; it was beautiful. Parking at the tower was free, you can use the elevator or the stairwell. Once at the top there are two levels depicting historical facts and 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Surrounding the site are several trails for hikers.

The drive up was very nice lots of scenery. When we at the top looking up at the tower was very impressive. So we paid our way in and took the elevator to the top and what a view! Then there is all kinds of history about Hot Springs and the tower with all the famous people from the 30s to include Babe Ruth and lots of other baseball players. The gift shop is also very cool with shirts, hats and other items. You won't be disappointed at all. This was my first time up and I did it for my 61st birthday!

Our family of 5 came for the bath houses....decided to see the tower. There was the option of parking at the bottom and hiking the trail to the tower, but the drive seemed like a better idea as Temps were nearing 93. The drive up the mountain was beautiful with dozens of switchbacks winding though the trees as the sun poking through created a natural strobe light effect. Parking up top is limited to about 50 vehicles...so come early, although many who come up do not stay too long. There is a gift shop in the bottom of the tower that looks a little dated, but the workers were extremely nice. The price for the tower is a little steep costing 13 for adults and 9 for kids. 1st responder discount and a 1 free admission coupon from the guide book we picked up at the visitors center in town...we spent less than 45 bucks. The tower was busy (July 3rd) so there was a 5 minute wait for the elevator. There is a turnstyle from an old subway that you place your token in to access the elevators. A 1 minute ride to the top and you can staybas long as you like. The very top was open air but if you go around to the staircase, the is another floor lower that is enclosed with A/C and lots of reading panels. We took the staircase back down which was pleasant.

So very pretty, and also very interesting. The gift shop is kind of pricey, but the lookout tower views make up for it. The staff is so nice, upbeat, and pleasant to interact with. To put it simply, the staff was refreshing. I highly recommend!! If you’re in the military or are a first responder, they will give you a discounted rate, so be sure to bring proof or an ID if that applies to you.

*Don't worry...there is parking at top next to tower. The drive up, as the fall leaves are in peak change, was beautiful. No vehucles over 30ft due to tight turns on 1 way road. You only pay if you want to go up. It costs about $13/person...there's also a discount for military/first responders. Tower is the highest point around and view is beautiful. The gift shop at bottom is full of souvenoir options too. There is an elevator to top. *To the owner: my appologies...typo regarding cost to go up.- C. Lopez

Amazing view from the top. You can drive to it or hike to it. Roughly 1/2-3/4 mile hike up the hill. Medium level of difficulty but worth it in my opinion. Gift shop items are excessively overpriced, kind of expected, but not to this extreme.

The tower tour was a quick in and out. Lots of information on the history. Great views. We were able see the pretty fall colors view. The tower closed at 2.00pm due to the day before Thanksgiving. We also got $3off per ticket as we had the annual national park pass.

  • 5/5 David N. 7 months ago on Google
It's a great view. There are lots of hiking options w varied lengths and endurance levels. Parking could be tight at times, but it varies. Elevator ride up to the top only takes a few minutes... Awesome view. Cool breeze ( and excellent phone reception).

$12 with a National Parks pass to get elevator to the top which is 216ft. Great views over the National Park and over the town of Hot Springs. There is an exhibition level below the top deck giving the history of the town and the famous people who came to the area to bathe in the spring water.

  • 2/5 Angelina S. 7 months ago on Google
The view is nice, but nearby driving tours for free are just as nice. This place is disgustingly dirty, everywhere. Like, dirty Q-tips on the stairs, ceiling tiles missing with water dripping into buckets, etc. For $14 to take an elevator/walk up stairs, it is definitely not worth it.

  • 5/5 Azzam A. 1 year ago on Google
Scenic drive to get up to the top, nice hike, low price, and nice view. It costs $10 per person with the national park pass. The main floor is a gift shop. The views up top are really nice. Not much wind. There are two floors to see, the top floor is just external views and the second floor is history. The hike and drive path are both worthwhile, with locations to stop and enjoy the view. When leaving, there is an option to go on a loop with a mountain view. I’d say it’s worth it, it’s quick. The location is extremely outdated though. Perhaps on purpose, but the building doesn’t seem to be well maintained.

Recommended by a native from Hot Springs, we made a point to go before sunset and got there just in time before they stopped making runs up to the top (4:30p in November). Hold on to your hat when you get to the top so it doesn’t blow away! Beautiful drive up the windy 5k road to the base of the tower and peaceful, gorgeous views await you at the top!

  • 5/5 Destiny L. 1 year ago on Google
Breathtaking views! My 2 year old was even screaming "wow"! Might be a little scary for those afraid of heights, but I would still recommend experiencing the Mountain Tower if you're ever in the area! Cute little giftshop with lots of souvenirs! Bathrooms are very clean and there was no wait.

  • 5/5 Jon F. 11 months ago on Google
Quick little trip up the mountain. There is a hiking trail that goes up if you'd prefer some exercise, otherwise you can drive on up. Smooth elevator ride to the top. Goes a couple hundred feet in the air, so if you are afraid of heights or get vertigo you may want to avoid this. There are two points you can stop at on the elevator. First stop will be an enclosed viewing area/deck with some encased artifacts and info cards. The second stopping point is at the very top which is open to the elements. Great views of Arkansas. A bit windy, so hold on to your hat.

  • 5/5 Clarissa S. 11 months ago on Google
What a stunning view and great souvenirs! I suggest you go to the top! I do recommend going in the morning to get your token or two. If they're super busy, take a hike on the trails and go back when you're done.

  • 5/5 Frances S. 11 months ago on Google
Lovely view and really good customer service. You do have to pay to go up. They give a discount for groups of 15 or more and also offer a military/veterans discount.

  • 5/5 Lacy H. 2 years ago on Google
When we started this trail to the mountain tower we didn’t even know we were on it since we were down at the hot springs bath houses but it was such a AWESOME trail up! And we took the elevator up and it was so pretty.

The tower is around 80 feet height. For entering the top of the tower you have to get ticket from the counter.Once you reach the top the view is marvelous, you can see birds eye view of hot springs national park.Even though it is very hot season the wind in the top the tower is relaxing. This is definitely a must watch place in hot springs

  • 5/5 Brant S. 2 years ago on Google
The view is amazing! The first floor on top of the tower is fully enclosed and climate controlled. The top floor is open with protective railing. Both floors have telescopes that cost .50. Things I wish I had known.

Views are great. Information on second floor is wonderful. Gift shop even has a few nice shirts and attire.
