DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. They are not saving your pet's life. Instead, they are just trying to charge you as much as possible even if your pet doesn't need it. Worst experience ever!!! My cat had a fever so I was trying to find urgent care to help relieve his symptoms. We searched Google and found that this animal hospital had good reviews and came in. After this visit, I am highly doubtful about the reliability of their reviews. Thank you for charging me the pricy exam fee but ended up getting nothing. The wait time wasn't that long, and the first technician, Eric, was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Zamora came in and talked a bit and mentioned that we could decide if we wanted to have the tests done at this hospital or take some medication. Then a female technician came in and told us that Dr. Zamora would not prescribe antibiotics for my cat, and gave me a list of estimated treatment plans including prices. My cat only had symptoms of fever, and they recommended a 2900+ treatment plan, which was way over the top. The lists also included a treatment called IV Injection and she said it would help my cat have an appetite for food. Funny enough, I told the doctor my cat didn’t have any other symptoms except fever, as he was eating well and peeing normally. Why should he be prescribed this extra injection? The female technician was smart enough to have her name tag covered by a sticker. She explained to us that my cat needed to be hospitalized! That's weird because my cat had a fever of 104 once, and the original vet never asked us to hospitalize him. The vet just did a series of tests for him and prescribed antibiotics. Then she acted like a salesman and recommended various fluids procedures to help with my cat's dehydration. I asked her what are these treatments for? The original vet only gave him fluid subcutaneous. She replied, "fluid subcutaneous is not for your cat since he has a fever right now." ( I guess they didn’t recommend it because fluid subcutaneous is cheaper) The funny thing is, after I declined all of the recommended plans, they brought in another estimated plan with fluid subcutaneous. I was confused and asked, "What is this? You just told me that's not working for my cat?" How hilarious she got angry and raised her voice, "so what do you want?" In fact, I am not surprised or mad at her, but it's obvious this woman was rude, unreliable, unreasonable, and dishonest. How does this make sense??? She suddenly got mad at me after I uncovered her lies. Is this the kind of quality and service of your staff? Your vet is not here to save lives, it's just a business to you guys. If we decline your overpriced sales, you will refuse to prescribe us medication to help our cat temporarily reduce his symptoms. I felt threatened and disappointed, I would never recommend any of my friends to come here!!! Please pay attention and trust those bad reviews.

We only went here once to put our dog down, but can’t say how grateful we are to everyone. We arrived at 4:30am and everyone was friendly and sweet during such a painful time for us. It made a big difference when making a necessary but heartbreaking decision. The follow up card was unexpected yet so appreciated. We miss out sweet boy but to have those final minutes go so peacefully puts our hearts at ease.

I brought my 14 yr old chihuahua, my Beloved BABY Belle here, because she suddenly became ill and she was having a difficult time breathing. My regular vet recommended them because he was too far away (Irvine) and ready to close. It was just about the worst day of my life. The whole staff was so nice and understanding. The vet doctor there consulted with my vet doctor and I. Unfortunately it turned out that I had to make the decision to let Little Belle cross over the rainbow bridge. But we waited for my family and friends to also come and say our “goodbyes” and Belle went to peacefully on her journey, in my arms, knowing she was SO LOVED. I still LOVE and MISS her every day. I received her ashes about a week later along with a beautiful card and her paw print. My heart still aches every day for my little bestie.

These amazing folks are always ready to help with great pet and people care. Lovely well-lit lobby, very clean and no odor at all. You do need to plan on being here quite a long time but that’s natural with any walk-in emergency location, human or animal. Prices are as expected for urgent care and they do have options like Care Credit if needed. I hope you don’t need them but if you do they are amazing.

Couldn’t be better! They took my 60 day pregnant English bulldog at 1 am and masterfully delivered 7 healthy puppies via C-section. The doctor ( Dr. Ng) was very informative with findings, confident and I actually slept easy for a few hours while she and the whole team of incredible staff brought Lola and her 7 babies into the world. They packed up the puppies for me to pick up and they all came home healthy and incredibly clean and got through their first day without a hitch. I would trust these people in any and every situation with my beloved baby. Also, though certainly not cheap, very reasonable and in my opinion worth more than they charge. They actually refunded a large portion of what I paid so they also have integrity in that regard. Thanks to each and every one of them for making the entire experience smooth and successful.

Thank you to your staff! We brought our Odie into the facility on Saturday. We were seen quickly and Dr. CROSS and her staff were wonderful with our Odie. Our visit was to ensure he did not have a ruptured gallbladder they put our mind at ease. It is a bit pricey but to be expected for an urgent visit. Beautiful location, place was clean, thorough, knowledgeable and professional.

Saying goodbye to a family member is never easy - especially when that family member is your mini-daschund of 15 years. Our precious girl "Chili Dog" meant the world to us and sadly, the end came too soon. We had to take her to this Urgent Care around 2am and were seen by Mady and Dr. Eileen. All I can say is their compassion was second to none - the way they treated us was amazing and they were very comforting in our darkest hour. They gave our girl something to relax and we had all the time we needed to say our final goodbye. They were very patient with us, and believe me we were a hot mess, crying and waiting for the whole family to arrive and say their goodbyes. Dr. Eileen explained the entire process to us very calmly and patiently - something we needed because stress definitely inhibits understanding in these moments. When the time came we made sure we all surrounded chili dog and gently pet her and held her so she knew how much we loved her and she went peacefully. Chili was taken by the staff and almost the very next day we got a very touching card in the mail - complete with several paw prints on 4 X 6" cards for our family members. Then today (approx. one week later) we received the phone call that Chili was ready to come home. Her ashes were in a very nice cedar box, complete with a paw print in a ceramic base and a nice card. Long story short, the staff was amazing - and the care they provided meant so much to my wife and kids. I cannot thank them enough and only hope this review helps another pet family that needs some advice. We had never been to this facility before but I can tell you it was very clean, had everything you needed (privacy etc) and I'm sure we are forgetting some of the staff but they were all great. Thanks Animal Urgent Care - you're the best.

Our dog was attacked by coyote and i could not stop the bleeding. The folks in Animal urgent Care were there to give her the medical treatment she needed at 2am. She is healing up well. I’m am very grateful to all the professional staff and doctor for being there when we needed them most. Don’t let your dogs out after dark (my stupidity and ignorance) or your pet may suffer like mine. You dont see them, but they are all around the green scape hill sides hunting for small pets.

This review is for this facility which has dramatically changed for the worst, as it is under new ownership; be forewarned. Our dog had a traumatic injury and we needed a veterinarian to evaluate her; When we brought our dog into Urgent Care at 1:320AM, we were informed that it would be 6 hours until the veterinarian saw her, as we was making "hospital rounds". That Being totally absurd, we took our dog to the San Juan Clinic Emergency Clinic and received IMMEDIATE and EXCELLENT CARE. If you are an "emergency hospital than BE IT" if not, these negative reviews will catch up with you, and reveal the soul and true nature of your establishment.

I would like to warn pet owners NOT to take their pets tl Animal Urgent Care of South O.C. My poor lil dog went through so much pain and she died in their care. I was mislead by my vet thinking they offer surgical services … they do not!! They made me wait 7 hrs before my dog was seen!! she died in their care and they are to blame.. I would wish this horrible experience on my worst enemy.. I would also like to add Dr Cross is the worst vet I have ever met !!! She put my dog Dulce through so much pain because of her greed.. she insisted I take my dog to Ladera hospital where they charged me a lot of money The vet there and Dr. Cross we’re working together to get as much money as they could! My lil dog died … my only consolation is. They will get their Karma. This so called urgent care hospital is a joke!!! You’re better off going to Irvine vet hospital.

My 14 year old cat who we knew was going to pass soon (she had stopped eating and was peeing on herself) suddenly started crying in pain and was falling over and couldnt stand or walk anymore. While we had wanted to let her pass peacefully in her own home, without the stress of being put in a carrier and driven to the vet, we had no choice when she started crying in pain. We called all the local vet offices (RSM and Foothill Ranch) and they were closed. We were panicked that she would have to suffer all night. But then Banfield at Petsmart referred us here. We got here and were seen quickly after our paperwork was completed. I was helped by Tara Zamora, who was so compassionate. I was in the room when she put my cat down. She talked sweetly to my cat and petted her gently as she did it. She explained what she was doing before doing it. She assured me my cat would be fully sedated before stopping her heart, so she would not feel pain when she passed. My cat was quickly out of pain. I obviously hope I dont have to go through this again BUT if I do, I would request to see the same person again, and come here again. My cat was like a best friend to me and although they did a great job, I was broken hearted. Which is why it meant so much to me when I got a card from their office signed by the staff, that included footprints of my cat to remember her by, which I am having framed. I didnt expect this, and it really made all the difference.

Brought my cat in on July 4th as she was not eating and was just not right. Dr Cross examined her and took xrays and determined she had a blockage in her intestines. She performed surgery that evening and called me immediately after to give me a update that she retrieved a large hairball. Furthermore, she made arrangements to go to a 24 hr care for follow up care. My girl came home yesterday and is doing fantastic. Thank you Dr Cross and your team.

My Frenchie had her regular vaccines at our regular vet in the morning and at around 5pm started to swell up around the eyes and then nose/mouth area. I was in a panic. We called our vet who had left for the day but the assistant recommended this center. They saw us right away, took care of my dog with steroids. I’m so thankful to the Doctor and staff at this place. Thank you for taking care of our sweet pup.

Our sweet dog Zoe passed and we brought her in for cremation. They were so kind, gentle and caring. Then we received the sweetest card. Highly recommend going here.

Took our sick little girl dog in on a Sunday morning after showing many ailments over the last year that even with regular vet visits and medications only got worse. Dr. Cross and Vet Tech Brittany were very professional and helpful in discussing our options. We appreciate them and will recommend this Urgent care.
