Spent 3 hours here on opening day. Absolutely beautiful gym. Staff and trainers were all very friendly and helpful. I saw a review from someone who said you have to pay extra for classes. To clarify, If you have a signature membership, all classes are included. The only sessions you’ll have to pay extra for are personal training and Pilates reformer.

In my opinion Algonquin is better. Not a fan of the hot tub layout. Only in the locker rooms so no interaction with others. Also I don't like the layout too crowded. Lake Zurich is closer to me but just a bit disappointed. This is not what I was expecting. I hear Vernon Hills is better! I mean come on $199 a month! New people have to pay a enrollment fee. The South Barrington Advocate gym is cheaper and look at the people that go there. Now they are raising membership fees at all the other lifetime gyms. Is this to compensate for the loss of their new gym. Very greedy!

FRONT DESK DAVID RUDE!! I have been a member at lifetime for years. I wanted to try out this club so I went in and brought a guest. The front desk person David was very rude in telling me that my guest had used this pass twice in 60 days. There was no reason for this as I would’ve paid for a day pass but ended up not wanting to visit this club again. Later I added my boyfriend (27) to my membership after we had moved in together. He tried to go to the lake Zurich lifetime because it’s close to where I work. He tried to check in and the front desk women noticed that he did not have a picture or a signature on file. David was asked to help my boyfriend and he was incredibly rude to him. As a paying member he was absolutely out of line to not show any customer service care. My boyfriend got his picture taken and signature done and left. David working at the front desk is the worst mistake this lifetime has made as at least twice he has deterred members from even entering this lifetime. He really is a huge disappointment to the entire lifetime experience as he is the rudest employee I have ever interacted with.

Took a tour last week. Are all the cars there staged, because there was barely anyone there. No one in the pools. I am not a fan of the layout. Seems small compared to other locations. They are calling it a "country athletic club" but in my opinion it's just another gym. The hot tubs are only in the men's and woman's locker rooms. Not impressed. I would rather stay at Vernon Hills than pay the $200 plus a $99 enrollment fee. Oh and if you are looking to play basketball or tennis they don't offer that. Only Pickleball. Total letdown.

I hate the new layout Lifetime is using for Hot Tubs. No co-ed hot tubs in the pool areas like at Vernon Hills or Oak Brook. When we go there as a family, it would be nice to hot tub and relax together, not in separate locker rooms. In some ways, Lifetime improves and in other ways they go backwards. This is them going backwards.

Went in the other day with my husband since we have a grace pass as a lifetime member to visit a luxurious club. We were looking forward to visiting this gym and potentially joining since the grand opening with the expectation that the price would meet the elite level that’s being advertised. We went in, explored around and noticed that an entire court was just for pickle ball and it was 3/4s empty. Why are there no basketball courts? Then on top of that, the most sour taste in my mouth came from when seeing a bar at the entrance of the gym. Who does that? People turn to health and fitness as a lifestyle change and these folks have a bar and alcohol lined up right when you enter. Then it was so difficult to coordinate whirlpool and sauna use with my husband because it’s separate and no reception in the underground area. My husband and I dragged ourselves to finish our workout upstairs because the machines were so oddly placed in the area where I didn’t even know where to go. The washrooms and water stations are so far apart, there’s not a soul in the gym and felt like ghost town. Lessons learned: all that is glitter is not gold

I hauled my cookies and my son (under 2) to this location as I heard about the opening last year. Typically we go to Northbrook but since I didn’t have my trainer workout on Monday, we paid a visit. We were welcomed right away as we may have been flagged for our 1st visit there. The staff were friendly and offered to point some things out. I dropped off my son at the Kids Academy and was greeted with a smile. One thing I’ve noticed about LT’s Kids Academy’s is that each one has specific rules for that location. For instance, my son’s shoes had to come off because I was told “Since it’s a newer club, they wanted to keep it clean”. Ok sure no problem! Moving onto to the 2nd floor workout/trainer area, it was wide spacious and clean. Now obviously this is Monday at 10am so who knows how it is on the weekend. What was weird was their slant board was under lock and key in the recovery area due to theft. Who the hell would steal that!!!?? One thing I did appreciate is how clean the Men’s locker room was. Seems like there was 2 guys constantly cleaning and tidying up the area. On the main floor there is a pickleball court, a spacious lounge area and Cafe. You can for sure spend several hours here especially with that nice plunge pool in the Mens locker room. Also if you don’t like the rates for LT, don’t go it’s not for everyone. There is plenty of parking so you’ll be good there.

If you're a swimmer don't bother trying to go after work. All the pools except 2-3 lanes are completely reserved for children all week. From 4 to 8. Very bad scheduling.

Please🙏🏻🙏🏻. Please fix the temperature in the locker rooms, especially in the family locker room and the pool area. It’s cold there! In dining area it’s also cold. It feels like 60 degrees. Every time I bring kids to the pool, they get sick. It’s that little detail that ruins everything! I love the club,I love how clean the place is,but because of the temperature I feel like I need a jacket inside, and can’t bring my kids to the pool. I spoke to the stuff already . Nothing has changed. I will remove the negative review once you make it warm enough to stay in.

Revision after using this facility for 2 months: I've tried various classes such as yoga, hot yoga, dance, Zumba, and En Barr, while also using the swimming pool 3-4 times a week, so I would like to update my initial review. The personnel at the front desk has changed a little and they are all friendly, informative, nice and very helpful. The entire facility, bathrooms, showers, including the sauna, swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi, and yoga studios, are cleaned daily. In summary, the gym, and the atmosphere there is excellent and I love going there. I would suggest that the swimming pool is vacuumed at night. Initial review: Life Time Fitness in Lake Zurich is a modern facility with membership fees exceeding $200 per month, but if you use BCBS, you can avail a discounted rate of $100 per month per person. Despite being one of the smaller gyms in its category, the layout can be a bit challenging due to the lengthy, winding hallways. Nevertheless, the facility boasts numerous state-of-the-art workout machines, two 25-meter indoor pools, a spacious steam room (though it may have an unpleasant odor), a sauna, two Jacuzzis near the locker rooms, and other newer amenities. The staff responsible for the swimming pool is exceptionally courteous, friendly, and exceedingly helpful. On the other hand, the reception staff at the front desk often appear disinterested, occasionally bordering on rudeness, and are not particularly accommodating to new members, especially those like myself who pay through BCBS. Unfortunately, it felt as though I were more of a nuisance than a welcomed new member during my two visits to the facility. Regrettably, my overall experience was not a pleasant one. I've been at (4) different Life time facilities and this one has the least nice front desk personnel.

Opening day for Lifetime Lake Zurich today! Went this evening and spent about three hours here- started with a fun & challenging group fitness class and ended with the eucalyptus steam room. Beautiful facility with lovely amenities. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to my membership here!

First, they informed me not once but twice that this location would have a basketball court then switched it for a pickle ball court last minute. Second, the weekend they opened they didn't have their act together with gympass so they told gympass members to come back on Monday while they tried to figure out the issue they were having with them. Additionally, if you are a gympass member you had to pay an additional $100 sign up fee with Lifetime; which wasn't the case when I used gympass with the Northbrook location. Third, they only have one boxing heavy bag. Unlike Northbrook or Vernon Hills with multiple boxing bags, you will have to wait if one person starts using it. For the high-end price at this location, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Northbrook and Vernon Hills are better options at their tier if you are a gympass member.

The swimming and spa facilities are beautiful, unfortunately the lap swimming and aqua exercise lanes are crammed full after 5p on weekdays + Saturdays with kids swim team and swim lessons, resulting in lengthy waits for a lane if you get one at all. I’ve had to leave without a swim more than once unfortunately. Hopefully it will get better after outdoor lanes are open— but if you can only swim in a tight window after work I would look for another gym. The weights area is also well stocked and very nice. It does have lines even in the middle of the day sometimes but that is the same at basically every place around.

I see Sabrina for cutting my hair. She does an excellent job! I enjoy how personable she is and makes my haircut experience fun! What I like the most is how great I look when I leave her chair. I will be going to her for my hair from now on! Thanks Sabrina, you’re the best!

Horrible service. Stuff is very very rude including management and especially front desk personnel. Been loyal LifeTiem customer , but this location is disappointing. Never use it! When I cancelled my subscription, they didn’t even ask why. Manager was so mean and said „ i am sorry to hear, with stupid smile „ Stay away from this location. Thats not acceptable how they treat the customers in „high end „ type of gym.

We joined for the pool but at night it was unsupervised and neither myself or my daughter felt safe as there were men hovering around who were not swimming. Nobody contacted us regarding this issue, despite voicing our concerns. I barely used my membership. What a complete waste of money.

I am truly excited to go to the gym since I became a member here. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. The facility is very clean and I love their classes. It is a bit expensive but I feel like I am getting what I paid for here. I also LOVE that they finally put a cold plunge in the women’s locker room. Thank you LifeTime!!!!

I never liked going to the gym until I became a member at Life Time. The facility is spacious, clean, and there's something for everyone. I especially love the amount of free classes that are offered. I've struggled with my weight most of my life and finally feel like I'm on a steady path. The club is top notch and is so much more than just a gym. The staff/instructors are super friendly too!

I have only used the Spa services and I must say, Corina is ABSOLUTELY amazing. From customized facials, hydrafacial. The service she provides is beyond what mere words can describe.

I had my hair done with heather in the spa and it was an excellent service! From the second you walk-in until the second you leave you’re treated like a long time member to the health club. Heather has exceptional skills and knowledge in her craft and would be an amazing choice in stylist when visiting the LifeSpa at Life Time Lake Zurich.

The facilities and classes are incredible. Barre with Sally (and I’m sure other instructors) and yoga classes are always a hit but I took Dance Jam for the first time tonight with Courtnee and it was SO FUN!!!!

Love the new Lake Zurich facility, nice staff, Very nice gym, love the cold plunge and spa area, I just feel that for the money that we’re paying they could keep the men’s spa area cleaner. The floor is constantly dirty, the machine that they use to clean the floor in the cold plunge/ hot tub area doesn’t clean the corners of the rooms so the corners are always dirty. Needs a good deep cleaning, I feel that if the manager saw it she would get tougher with the cleaning personnel. I talked with the front desk staff about it a couple times and they said that it would be taken care of. I look forward to this being addressed in the upcoming future, I know they can do better. Also the grout on the hot tub is coming apart so they put duct tape on it, the cold plunge steps have an issue with the grout coming apart as well. Thanks, James

Been a member of this new club for a few months now. They only offer a Signature membership, but thata fine because it includes everything the club has to offer (spa services not included). My wife and I are really loving it here. It does cost a lot, however, we take advantage of most of the classes and that has really been the fun part. Example... I never thought I would enjoy hot yoga, but I look forward to every class. Looking forward to the amazing pool in summer!

This place is great! Love the entire gym, instructors and classes. I feel like it is great ROI. I use this club several times per week so the cost seems reasonable. It's like one nice dinner out per month and you get healthier being here with other like minded people!

I have been looking into Lifetime for quite a whole. Both of my sisters go here and they talk about it so much. I finally went as a guest and signed up on the spot. Everything from the locker room bathrooms to the equipment and the studio rooms are so prestine and clean, I see why they go here! I wish I signed up sooner to be honest!

Huge facility with everything you could ever need to stay in shape. Always immaculately clean and the staff are all friendly without exception! When it comes to gyms you really do get what you pay for.

I really enjoy this gym. It is very clean and spacious. Even coming in on an extremely busy day doesn't feel over crowded with all of the space provided. Being able to drop off your kids at the kids club is a life saver. There's no chance I could get in a workout without that, and my kids really seem to enjoy themselves. The extra amenities, such as the spa and saunas, really are a nice touch. I look forward to the pool in summer, but we are already taking advantage of the indoor pools. There's even a cafe with really solid food and a bar. (Guess what, if you don't want to drink, you don't have to go there! What a concept!)

I just want to start off. David at the front desk assisted me, a newcomer, to this wonderful gym. He told me about any and everything that I inquired about. This gym is a splendid experience. If I could I could give it 6 stars… I would.
