What a lovely place to come and feed the horses and donkeys! It’s free to get in but donations are greatly welcome. Staff are friendly and the café serves nice hot drinks and snacks as well. Picnic area as well. For £1.10 you can feed the horses treats too. And smell that horsey smell from the stables. Fantastic.

Lovely place to meet and feed the horses. A pleasant gift shop and fund raising sale of goods, clothes and books. Great little cafe with fresh made sandwiches, toasties, fabulous home made cakes etc. You can hire it for childrens parties. Free entry but you will happily make a donation!

Super place to spend a couple of hours here. With over 55 horses and 15 donkeys, there is plenty to see. Free parking. The animals are very well looked after. Well recommended.

Always include a visit to the horses when we are on the Island. Especially like to see the one we sponsor. So nice to see these creatures living out their retirement in such a caring place.

Wonderful place! The horses are really very nice to feed, and we had a great experience. Be sure to wash your hands at the end though, haha.

A most wonderful place to visit, large free car park, free entry (donations welcome). A great place to see ex tram horses, donkeys , ponies. You are welcome to take carrots, apples or purchase food to take round to feed the residents. They really are gentle giants. Lovely small cafe on site , all homemade bakes and cakes, friendly staff, tea in teapots and chiba cups and saucers of various patterns, not always matching adds to the charm of this wonderful place. Little gift shop, where its a pleasure to see Stanley the dog and see all pictures of horses/donkeys you can adopt for £10 a year who could resist after feeding them fresh carrots. Definately worth a visit.

Brilliant place. Staff were so welcoming, with a great sense of humour. We walked around and fed some horses and a lot of donkeys. Tea and toasties on the way in, coffee cake on the way out. Would thoroughly recommend it all.

A wonderful place to enjoy some equine therapy feeding retired horses. Then you can feed yourself at the lovely cafe with great cakes and savory delights. Finish that off with a gift for yourself or a loved one that all contributes to the upkeep of this wonderful herd of retired trammers and other working horses on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲

Lovely home for horses and donkeys in their retirement although watch out for the bully. A black horse with white stripe on his face. Keeps pushing other horses out of the way when hoomans arrive with treats!

Worth a visit to see the horses but mainly for the excellent cafe and their home made sausage rolls.

Charming working charity looking after old, retired or neglected horses, ponies and donkeys. Worth paying for food so that you can feed the horses and donkeys by hand. The cafe onsite is small but charming with posters showing the history of the charity and famous visitors and correspondents, including Norman Wisdom and Pat Phoenix. A nice gift shop is available. Entry is free of charge but you can contribute money if you wish voluntarily. Worth a visit if you are in the area, a good family day out.

👍 Great spot. Nice pebble beach. Ideal for a long walk from Douglas along Marina Drive and down here. Done it many times with the kids and the dogs. The path down to the beach is a bit narrow and overgrown but it s pleasant. You have to not mind stairs as there are quite a few.
