We choose this spot as the same owned spot across the street was packed. Service was beyond slow. The house wine got you a very healthy pour and was actually decent in taste. The pizza was really good. Oven baked. They don't skimp on the toppings. Crust was light and thin. It's really too bad that it took over an hour to get it. Otherwise I'd highly recommend it. So slow that 4th star should be a half, that's how slow. The sicilian pizza with an extra topping beer and glass of wine came to almost $100 reals. $8 for an extra topping and $1 for the card box to bring home any leftovers lol. As usual the tip is automatically included. Of note. No English menu so bring your translation app as no one in the restaurant spoke English. I don't take away any point in my rating for that. We are in their country and I don't expect it. Just an fyi.

Good italian food, not the best in town, but tasty and well served.

Lovely Italian restaurant with warm ambience. The menu is only is Portuguese and the waiters don't speak any English so bit of a struggle. Quality food though so worth it.

The restaurant on the other side of the street is muuuuuch better. House wine tastes like sour juice, food is uneven - too salty or with no taste at all.. and the salad was not mixed..

Absolutely no go if you like good food and Vo Bertila (across the street) is open. I can see no reason I’m going there again. The dishes are over salted and/or prepared couple days back, house wine is terrible and taste like grape juice and prices are way to high for such an “experience”. If you are not a Portuguese speaker you will find English menu and service in Vo Bertila but forget about communicate in English in Vo Luiz.

Such a lovely place, the good is home made and delicious

Had the pizza and it was delicious. It was hand made and fresh. It was also liked in a wood burning oven which rest gives the pizza added flare and a smokey taste. We received great service in French (I don't speak Portuguese very well). The place was not busy when we went in. All in all we had a lovely dinner. Good atmosphere
