Terrible place with an unfriendly owner who lies to your face about the a/c being broken when the room isn't full. He was able to " FIX " the a/c with the remote control when more people arrived. I was able to leave my stuff in their office after checking out.However, upon returning,I paid to have a shower and use the space to organize my luggage, but while I was doing so, the owner told me in an unfriendly manner that I had 5 minutes to leave because he would close the hostel! So I had to shower very quickly and finish organizing my luggage on the street. They also have horrible old mattresses which are the cheapest available in Brazil

Excellent attention, service, friendliness on the part of its owners and all the staff. Very reliable to stay. Warm attention from Luis and Rodrigo, who provided us with information and advice at all times. It is a place to rest and enjoy.

We came for dinner and drinks twice. For dinner they had a BBQ and we had steak and sausage cooked, it was extremely good! One of the best steaks I've ever had. The food and drinks were both very good money and I would highly recommend. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We never stayed but we drank in the bar and booked a tour. Excellent this little spot with great music and the friendliest staff. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We walked in for a beer and left with a Iguazu Fall tour booked for the next day. Luis the owner sold us a hassle free tour to the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls. There were no hidden chargers and the day ran exactly as he advised at an amazing price. Luis spoke a few different languages including English. He was brilliant just like all the staff. This place is a must visit.

The owner of the hostel is a wonderful host. He clearly loves doing his job and is great at it. I only had two days there, and he helped me plan my trip so I could do everything I wanted. He even let me borrow a small backpack one day to bring into the Park because I didn't have one. He also booked my bus ticket and a taxi to the bus station for me while I explored the falls. My room was wonderful and cozy. Overall I highly recommend this hostel!

I stayed next door to this place but used the bar/restaurant in the evenings and met some great people. The boss and his mother (I think) ran the place superbly and with genuine friendliness. It's very laid-back and cool to sink a few caipirinhas - be careful they are potent. Guests who did stay here told me it was a really good hostel. Drop by if you are in Foz!

I definitely recommend Katharina House! The staff were amazing, helpful, funny and speak several languages. The location is close to the zoo, bus station and 2 amazing churrasqueiras so It's perfect. At the night they had live music in the bar downstairs, but it wasn't crazy loud and I was able to sleep through it (and the music was good!). I would 100% stay again if I return to Foz.

I did not stay here but I booked the tours to the iguacu waterfalls (both Brazil and Argentina) here. The owner is very friendly and he speaks good English. Although I didn't stay, he helped me book the tours without any hassle. Highly recommended!

We didn't stay at the Hostel. But the owner was really nice helping us to organise a tour to the Iguazu Waterfalls and transportation to the airport since we haven't booked or planned anything in advance. The food and drinks are also really nice and they offer a good price!

Wonderful place, good music, super cozy. The food is very good and at a fair price. The service was great, the owner is very sweet and friendly. I highly recommend it!
