Stay here for the location. Look at two big rivers and three countries from the roof: beautiful! Hotel lobby is tasteful. Rooms are tired, very tired. They need at least a deep clean or a total refresh. Gym is broken equipment and scheduled access only. Pool is overrun by little kids. Food is marginal. Way over priced for experience.

Excellent service, especially the recepcionists and the bar :) Very clean and well located. Also the place is beautiful. Special mention to the girls at the spa! 10 points! The breakfast is very good, although I should say that they should improve the quality of the meals (lunch and dinner), the drinks and cocktails are exceptional.

    - Nicely decorated but, aged facilities - Poor to nonexistent wifi service - Unstable water pressure - Intermittent elevator failures - Not enough staff to attend the amount of occupants. Expect higher than normal wait times for services throughout the hotel, i.e. Front Desk, Bell Boy, Housekeeping. Waiters, Bartenders, etc. - Too far from city center to walk in order to access shops and restaurants. - Bus stop and taxi area nearby - A buffet style dinner is served in the hotel's restaurant but, it is more like an appetizer buffet (fritters, hams, sausages, cheese, salads, vegetables, etc). as opposed to a formal dinner The few meats available were overcooked. - The hotel restaurant requires reservations for dinner. This was not informed during Check In. It was not a problem the 1st night since there was low occupancy in the hotel but, on the 2nd night, when a massive group checked in, we were not allowed to eat in the restaurant. We asked for options and to talk to the Manager but, the Manager did not want to appear or provide options. We were told to dine at the bar area. - The alternate dining option, the bar area, has a very limited menu, i.e. salad or pizza. After expressing our extreme discontent with the dining situation, the bar attendant was kind enough to bring us a small dish with food from the buffet. This was far from a solution but, very much appreciated. I would classify this as a three star hotel at best. I truly appreciate the waiters and staff who understood our disappointment and tried to remediate as best possible and within their ability when Management was "no where to be seen". That said, if I ever come back, I would avoid this hotel and look for other accomodation options.

The hotel is very old and clearly has not been renovated in a while. The staff at the restaurant are super helpful and friendly, unfortunately the staff at the reception are not. Rude and not flexible. We arrived three hours earlier than check in and understood that only if a room would become available we would get it. The receptionist said she’d follow up but she didn’t. We had to come several times to the reception to check and still they couldn’t even know if the room was ready because housekeeping wouldn’t pick up the phone. This is clearly not a five stars hotel, mainly due to the attitude and lack of help and service from their receptionist Facundo. Such an unpleasant start of our stay.

We were staying in O2 Hotel and they send their guests to this hotel to use their pool since the 02 Hotel was closed temporarily. The pool is nice and has a beautiful view of the river.

This is an ok hotel. It has a nice view from a deck on the top floor. Convenient location to shops. Restaurants in the hotel have nice food at a fair price. The hotel itself is a tad old and in need of remodeling. Bathroom good use a refreshing.

The location is excellent, the staff are warm and friendly, and the pool area is nice. That is where the good news ends. The food at the hotel is horrible. Generally the entire hotel is in a terrible state of disrepair. Our balcony door did not slide and did not lock. When it rained outside, it rained in our room and we had to put a garbage can under the leak to catch water. The bathroom shampoo dispenser kept falling on our feet. The hallway floors outside our room were in a terrible state, sticking up in a very dangerous situation. I do not recommend this hotel until they do proper repairs and hire a real cook.

The hotel is NOT 5 star as they say. Maybe 3.5 due to the fact that there is disrepair extensively, mostly our room and floors. No attention to detail. As you can see in my photo, That the room numbers are missing, the door key lock was difficult to open, the furniture is beat up, paint on the windows and loud street noise. Not enough outlets and usb ports in the room. Many damaged walls and floors in the levels. The room was really cramped and definitely not five star . No massage service in the a.m., untrained beautician, my wife was really upset with how she washed and dried her hair on the Upper Floor Beauty Salon. Her hair came out frizzy and she had to finish her hair herself in our room. One thing I can say is that the staff is really helpful and the hotel management should appreciate how well we were treated and helped. If you were to ask me if I were to stay there again? I would say no because of the condition of the room that we stayed in. The hotel is close to a bus stop to get to all the main attractions and close to the point. The hotel is only about a 15-minute walk from downtown and there is plenty of restaurants and coffee shops on the way there to stop at if you're hungry. The restaurant in the hotel for dinner was quite pricey and I don't think it was worth the expense. The breakfast was included and was satisfactory other than the hostess telling us we only had 40 minutes to eat breakfast and we had to leave, which I thought was really rude for a supposedly five star Hotel. My suggestion is that if you're looking to go to Iguazu try to book early in advance to get a really nice hotel that would be the best bet. Most of the hotels in the downtown area are catered to Young Travelers and families and are not really meant for couple visitors.

Be aware before to book this hotel. For us it was like being scamped in a horrible movie. The hotel claims to be 4+ stars but it’s not worth it. They had their best time. The maintenance is far from okay. It look like we eind up in * star motel. The bathroom in a worse shape. We didn’t take a schoner just to prevent any health issues. Glad that we stayed just three days. The room walls, electricity, furnitures, refrigerator, balcony door etc. Outdated and not in an expected for a superior hotel. We payed an additional 400 euro extra from middel klasse to superior and for what! Above it all, during check out they made a mistake and without noticing we payed for a dinner of other client. We were in hurry but the amount in pesos didn’t feel right. So we used the app to find out in euro’s that we paid for a meal of other client. It was early and not time to wait on correction. So they assure us the amount will be refund. Just it will take about 30 days. We are now three months later and several request and I finally they confirm to refund the amount. The amount they rebook is a third of what we paid. Well we didn’t eat at the hotel due to hygiene concern and maintenance of the building. But this is outrages. They are to arrogant to admit their mistake and provide a correct service to solve the issue. NO they didn’t care. Do not book this hotel if you want to enjoy your stay. Think twice if it worth it! We will never book at this hotel.

Excellent location and rooms. Enjoyed the stay. The concierge arranged a full day taxi for us (good price!) to go to the Brazil and Argentinian side of the Iguazu Falls

Great location, Very good food/ Entertainment. Good concierge service. Public bus in front goes to Iguazu Falls national park every 20 min. Nice pool/waterpark on site. Photo from my room. This is at "Tres Fronteras" Hotel is in Argentina, across the river is Brazil and across the river to the left is Paraguay.

Wonderful hotel in the perfect location! Very clean and visually appealing. The views are unmatched! Our room was spacious and comfortable, with views over the Tres Fronteras and rivers. Captivating sunsets and lively fun on the Brasil side. The breakfast was delicious with selections of anything a person could want to eat for breakfast. Some local pastries and items were also served and they were very tasty. The restaurant serves excellent dinners as well. We enjoyed steak, fish, and empanadas. We ordered room service for lunch and it was wonderful. We’ll certainly stay here again!

The hotel front desk staff was not helpful and took three people to do the work of one. The hotel room had broken furniture, peeling wallpaper, and a broken ac wall unit. Loud music was playing each night next to the hotel. Poorly placed palm trees blocked the view of the borders of the 3 countries which was the hotel's appeal. The only highlight was the food and service from the dining staff

It was a wonderful experience staying at the Amerian hotel. The view of sunrise and sunset from the top floor was amazing. The quality of food and service was also excellent. The staff very polite and cooperative. I think it is one of the best places to stay in Iguazu city.

2nd best hotel in Triple frontier. The first one is the Melia because of its proximity to Iguazu falls. But this one has an incredible view nonetheless. You will look at three countries at the same time. Only thing improvable is Food variety. Everything else perfect.

Stayed with my wife for part of our visit to Cataratas. The room was a third floor with a view to the back of the hotel (the triple border) and it was really nice. Really clean, with extra pillows and blankets w/o a request. The bed was at least a king and super comfy. A must: your own a/c with the control in the room (not central a/c where you have to phone the front desk for adjustment)! The hotel's restaurant was really good as well. Their fish dishes are extremely well served. The pool is essential as it is really hot and to freshen up after your visit to Cataratas. The absolute best thing about the hotel is its people. All the staff is super friendly and they go the any lengths to help you out. I will always be grateful to Rocío Victoriano and Edgardo for helping me out my problems!! Great stay!

Very beautiful hotel. Wonderful location. Our room overlooked the pool and the rivers. A very unique experience to stand in one country and see two others. We watched the sunrise and the sunset over Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay from the hotel balcony. Walking distance to the Three Borders Monument and local shops. Regular bus stops in front of the hotel. The staff here was amazing, although they did not speak English, my friend spoke Spanish and we had a great time. Definitely convert your money prior to arrival, there is no ATM here and you will need cab/bus money as it's a little out of town and Uber is not available in this area. The restaurant was fantastic for dinner and the breakfast was amazing.

service in Hotel was rude, unfriendly, and a sense of anger from staff. Hotel staff made us feel unwelcome. Breakfast eggs looked like syrup or pancake mix. If you arrive 6 minutes before breakfast open time you will be sent away as a bothersome tourist. Although PACU Fish Dinner food was outstanding 10 of 10. Would not stay here again and will not recommend. Although a few staff employees were pleasant if you initiate a smile first. FYI: food at Iguazú Park (Argentina side)was terrible all owned by same owner. if you do eat I recommend the cafeteria buffet at Iguazú Park (Argentina), 700 peso per person. Felt unwelcome in the local town near this hotel; merchant staff will follow you while shopping in town as if you are going to steal. Tip: skip Argentina side of Iguazú if you must. Brazil Iguazú side has better vistas. Both sides are outstanding.

Amazing experience, the staff here are the best I've ever encountered. I can't really speak for the actual hotel because our room had some sort of air conditioning issue the manager personally spoke to us about the issue and actually sent us to a different hotel told us they would upgrade our room, paid for the taxi cab for us to get to the other hotel and paid for our dinner on the second hotel during our stay. They also were our concierge/personal assistant throughout our stay. The manager of the Amerian personally gave us a call to make sure we had enjoyed our stay at the second hotel at the end of our stay. I highly recommend this place!

Nicely decorated and spacious hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly:) The rooms were nice and clean with a nice view towards the river. The breakfast was a downside for me because they lack vegan options and it also had a lack of variety in general, hence the 4 stars.

Amazing hotel. The personal super friendly and hospitable. The food, the pool and room great. It's very close to the Triple Frontera (borders between Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil)
