One of the most amazing experiences ever !! We chose the wet safari and it was incredible !! You go under neath the three musketeers waterfall which is something to behold. We took our GoPro and my wife videoed the whole thing and you get taken right underneath !! We didn’t take any spare clothes and regretted this so make sure you do. I love walking and exploring nature but on this occasion I would say that the second part of the safari for the 600 meters walk in the “jungle” is not worth it. The guide was only speaking Portuguese and Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish but many other tourists in my group were not so I ended up doing the traduction for French tourists during the whole tour. Our guide was not up to par and did not explain anything about the flora of the place. I asked a couple of questions but they were not answered. The walk felt like a trap to get the group to buy an additional canyoning tour down a 22 meters waterfall. Aside from an unnatural little swimming pool there was nothing worth seeing. Changing area was super crowded so good luck to get a locker... The boat tour itself was short and yes you get plenty wet and the water is cold. I asked to be at the front as I get sea sick at the back and they did not even listened to me. The people in the front had selfies stick which made it impossible at the back to get good shots. Overall I find this tour a fun experience but it is expensive for what you get. This “two hours” tour is in fact 15 minutes worth on the boat...

A fun experience with the ride through the "jungle" on a open "bus", an optional 20 minute walk to the boat pier. The boat ride is great for an experience under the spray from the falls. You get wet, but enjoy the experience. It was less sightseeing of the falls than I expected, but a great experience.

Great adventure, really good organization and the guide Samuel was really nice. He explained everything in spanish but also ij english. The only thing wr didn't like is that the boat trip was extremely short (maybe because we were the last group for the day) but for the price of 362 reais, we expected way more.

Great service and guide! 😍 Boat tickets must be purchased at the entrance to the park, then take the bus and get off at the first stop. A guide will meet you there and lead you to your car. This car will take you through the jungle to the boat, along the way you will be given a tour about the jungle (very interesting!). Afterwards you will be dropped off and you will go to the pier to the boat. A boat trip to the waterfalls is an unforgettable experience! I highly recommend it! 🚤

What an amazing experience. It started with a jeep safari, where they tell you about the overall flora and fauna of the the area. They tell how they keep tracking of the jaguars as they are nocturnal animals but they can be time to time seen in the night cameras. They show us how we can we know how much the air is pure based in some white/red circles in some trees. I can say things I really didn’t know and it was really interesting. We have a 650m walk throw the forest but already in a path that is prepared for it. So not a proper hiking, a tourist path. Till we reach the area where we get access to a “lift” that will take us to the river boat. The boat it is a speed boat for an amazing adventure in the water. With waterfall showers and beautiful views. I can’t recommend more this activity. Amazing photos and amazing fun. There are toilets and lockers as you must be prepared to get wet. If you don’t you should wear plastic covers. But the fun it is too get wet. And honestly choose the first seat of the boat. It is the best. By the way the name of the park it comes from the Macuco bird and the most curious it is the eggs of the this bird are blue.

Really awesome experience but make sure you take advantage of the lockers to put any valuables in. The boats are 100% safe but EVERYTHING inside them gets drenched. However wet you think you'll get, it'll be even more. So use waterproof covers on phones if you wanna take pics etc. That being said it was soooo fun and made my experience of the falls even better.

Anyone going to Iguacu Falls should do this. It's expensive for locals (about 350-400 reais) per person. I believe it’s worth it. You sit at the back of a big open truck for about 20min with another 10-15 people. Then take a 20min walk then switch to a smaller jeep with 5-6 people each. Take a tram down to the river and sit down in the front if you can. The boat ride to the falls will take about 20min. No shoes, you will get very wet. I mean very. Take another set of clothes and a small towel if you can - you can leave them by the boat ride entrance for just 10 reais.

We did the wet boat under the falls with the rafting at the end and it was incredible. Definitely worth the $100 US.

The view you get from the falls is totally worth it. Don't bother to buy a rain poncho, you'll get completely wet anyway. A water proof case for your phone/camera is great for getting the shots when you're under the waterfall.

Great adventure! Make sure you let your guide know that you speak English - trolley ride followed by a short walk with explanation of vegetation. Then the fun!! Lockers are available to store what you don’t want to get soaked R$10. Highly recommend wearing clothing that you are comfortable getting soaked in and changing after you are done touring the falls, or you will change multiple times. Boat ride was fun for the entire family! Helpful friendly staff!!

I wouldn't pay for the boat trip if I were to do it again; particularly if you're planning to see the falls from both sides. The price is exceptionally high for what you get and the views of falls are amazing just from the walking trails. The 'safari' is just a super short walk through the woods. The company is well organized and polite.

A must do when visiting the Falls. The boat ride gives you a breath taking and up close experience with the falls. And of course getting wet from the falls was fun. The jeep ride and walk through the forest prior to arriving at the boat docks was informative about the fauna .

At Macuco Safari, located at the Iguazu Falls, an unforgettable adventure awaits. This tour offers a 4x4 safari experience and a high-speed boat ride right up to the falls. It's important to note: you will get wet, and it's advisable to bring a change of clothes or swimwear as the boat goes right into the heart of the cascading water. The 4x4 safari allows you to explore the lush surroundings and get up close to the natural beauty of the area. The exhilarating boat ride takes you into the heart of the falls, giving you an up-close encounter with their breathtaking power. The experience is awe-inspiring, offering a unique perspective on one of the world's most magnificent natural wonders. Just remember to be prepared to get thoroughly soaked for an adventure you won't forget.

Loved it! Selected the "dry" option which only got you a little wet but still close to the falls

Unreal experience, a truly must try experience! Tour guide is nice and informative and the boat tour is unreal! Note; do not forget to take a extra pair of clothes beceause you will get soaked, and there are changing rooms.

had a lot of fun in the boat ride. but the life jacket is bit dirty. fungus around the neck side (eww). boat ride is bit short considering waiting time. this place does not have enough notice or sign for tourists. tourists have to pay for rain coat or locker. be sure to wear waterproof jackets & pants.

We had so much fun on this boat tour of Iguazu Falls! The drive through the park to get to the boats was beautiful! I highly recommend doing this.

I did the boat tour to the waterfalls here. I'd highly recommend it going here if you have the money! The experience was amazing, and I really enjoyed it. Having said that, I don't think it would have been worth more than what they charged. I'd say it is fairly priced.

I never thought that I would fully get wet even thought I wore my best rain jacket today. It was totally out of my expectation. It wasn’t a normal boat ride but an adventure ones. We were screaming and laughing all the way. It was an incredible fun and excited ride. It is a MUST DO when you are here!

A must do then visiting. Quite expensive tho. You will get soaked and I’m not sure why they are doing it. They are just making everyone completely went for no reason. In case you want to stay dry, get on of those cheap transparent ponchos and try to sit in the back. In any case, store your shoes at the locker room or on the dock. Don’t bring them on the boat!!!

  • 5/5 Darren H. 4 months ago on Google
Fantastic boat trip to the falls. Got very wet as the boat went straight under a falls and then just in case you missed the wet we reversed into as well. Couldn’t see it was so wet but what a thrill ride. Awesome. Worth the money which was around £63 per person.

Price is expensive and you need to pay additionally for the locker, raincoats and the pictures. Ride towards the location and the walk is attempted to be interesting, however needs more. Ride itself is nice, however I expected to reach the devil throat, which we didn't. Make sure to prepare bathing suit or get the raincoat and prepare to get soaked.

We had an absolute blast on the boat tour! This was hands down the best way to experience the falls (more than the lookouts/hikes, bridges, helicopter tour). The ride down to the boat was nice with some educational info about the vegetation. You should bring a waterproof bag and fast drying clothing as you will get drenched but in the best way. The boat ride back from the falls is a bit chilly but that’s a nice break from the heat. We were able to book the tour through the Belmond hotel on the day we wanted to take the tour. I am definitely coming back here again and taking this tour.

It was awesome. The guide was nice and talked in several languages to several groups, he explained a lot about the rainforest, the plants and animals and there were enough toilets, which they reminded you of, one at the beginning and one before the boat ride itself (well my girlfriend complained about three not being enough, but she always needs to go) Oh yeah the boat ride itself was really cool, but be aware, everything will be wet afterwards. Totally do something to save your phone in something!

Must go!!!…. You will get really wet but the view and the overall experience is really nice

  • 2/5 Jack S. 1 year ago on Google
The price was too much for the experience. It was nice to be on the water and the staff were super friendly but the boat ride isn't exciting enough so they put you under a waterfall to create excitement. You don't go close to the main waterfalls. There are extra charges for lockers to store clothes too which is annoying when we paid a fortune to do the boat ride. Bring a change of clothes. We had to go back to our hotel to change after.

We got absolutely soaked head to toe. We were sort of prepared for it but don't get on the boat if you don't want to get wet. It's hard to know when you can pull out your camera/phone so bring a waterproof case or ziploc bag you can trust... This is expensive for those of you budget travelling. Not sure it's worth it if you're on a strict budget.

Iguazu falls is Nature's Wonder of the world. Three countries borders share this fall, Argey, Brazil and Paraguay. Simply amazing. Seeing is believing. We did boat ride and walk on both Argentina and Brzil side. Devil's Throat is on Arggentina side of Iguazu falls. Macuco Safari is on Brazilian side. Both unique and beautiful.

  • 5/5 Dzmitry Y. 3 years ago on Google
Did the safari, as rafting wasn’t available due to the pandemic. Overall a great experience and a chance to get the closest to the waterfalls (you will get wet). Takes about 2h to complete. A bit of waiting invloved, and seems like logistics can be improved.

  • 5/5 Juan J. M. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing experience. See the Cataratas from inside. You can choose the dry or (absolutely) wet experience. The second will put you under the waterfall, literally. In the dry experience they allow kids from 1 year old, much more convenient than in the argentinian side (only for +12 years old)

  • 5/5 Alex 2 years ago on Google
It may seem expensive and the boat ride itself is only 20 minutes but I really enjoyed it! You get an option to take the wet or dry boat and I highly recommend taking the wet one. You'll get soaked so don't bother bringing a poncho or other rain gear - leave your shoes at the dock, wear quick drying clothing and prepare to have fun!

  • 3/5 Felber M. 1 year ago on Google
The experience itself is really good but it doesn't worth 386$ , I wouldn't recommend it. Enjoy the waterfalls from the Brazilian side and that's it ;)

  • 3/5 Brian B. 1 year ago on Google
Very well organized tour with friendly staff in the heart of the national park. High expectations are the enemy of a good time so perhaps that was the problem here but I was disappointed. The brief ride then walk through the jungle were ok but I would have preferred to use that time otherwise. The reason I booked the tour was the boat ride to the falls. Probably true most everyone. So we got changed into clothes because we knew we would get wet, took the funicular down to the dock where we donned life jackets and without delay we got on the boat and we’re underway! So excited! We went toward the falls about a mile, took in a not very spectacular view of a portion of falls, then the boat captain expertly maneuvered the boat under one of the minor falls off to the side. The water thundered down on us we got wet, laughed, felt giddy as children. And that was it. The boat turned around and we headed back to dock. It’s not actually a tour of the falls. It’s more like an a quick shower under a one of waterfalls. I left my iPhone in the locker as advised so don’t have any pics of the boat trip. A few people brought their iPhones along and I think it’s fine if you have a plastic bag to protect it. The tour operator takes and sells pictures which is fine but I felt we were discouraged from bringing our phones to help their photo sales.

Should try for sure Without this iguacu is like only30% All wet but fun We can literally go into the falls Recommending strongly

Absolutely worth it. It's not cheap (R$386/person 25/02/2023) but it's an unique experience. In my opinion, this is a "must do" in Brazil.

Fantastic boat trip, interesting route down to the boat. Well worth the money, overall was the best part of the Falls tour day

  • 3/5 Mar K. 1 year ago on Google
Great to see the falls at this level but it can be done on the falls trail in Brasil without extra cost. The tour takes 2 hours and you will get very wet, but you'll only be on the boat for 30 minutes, the rest is standing around and an uninspiring ride/ walk in the undergrowth. Far too expensive. The attached video is from the trails walk where you also get soaked from spray- take a waterproof, but you'll dry off pretty quick if you don't!

  • 5/5 Betty L. 1 year ago on Google
This is a lot of money but it was so much fun. Wish that I had a waterproof camera. And don't bother with a raincoat, you still get soaked. They take pictures of you but you have to buy them at the souvenir shop at the top right where you get off of the lift. I went to the one at the bottom so I didn't see them.

Crazy, madness, scary, screaming, shouting, regret, tears, beautiful, fun, pleasure, soaked, wet, water, cold, excited, prayed, total enjoyment. Felt all these emotions.......
