As a tourist in Argentina, I’ve been eating my way through low, mid, and high priced pastas. I must say that this place (being the lowest cost restaurant) is the best of them all. They concentrate on quality but also give quantity. The small restaurant is unassuming and not fancifully decorated but was busy the entire time we ate there. There were many orders of fresh pasta, sauce, and empanadas to bring out as well as to dine in. We ordered a green and a yellow fettuccine (not sure what it is actually called). The green one with a putanezca sauce and the yellow one with a mushroom and cheese sauce. The putanezca sauce came with olives, capers, and garlic in a tomato base. This sauce wasn’t my favorite because it was slightly sweet in an unbalanced way but the other flavors were great. My favorite was the mushroom (at least 3 different mushrooms) and cheese sauce. The sauce was creamy, savory, cheesy, and full of umami. The pasta was bouncy, cooked al dente, and as fresh as you can imagine. I don’t think I can enjoy boxed pasta the same way anymore. We also ordered a surubi (fish) empanada which came out piping hot, used finely chopped/ground fish and was juicy, dripping with flavor, had a hint of “fishiness” to it. With the hot sauce on the table, this was one of my favorite empanadas I’ve tried in Argentina. We also had a flan with dulce de leche that was great. I personally thought it was a bit sweet (unfortunately I have a low sweetness tolerance) but my companion thought it was perfect. Nothing out of this world amazing but a very good flan any Argentinian would be happy with.

When I arrived on the Argentinian side of Iguazu, the stunning views from the plane were just a glimpse of the incredible experience awaiting me at La Mamma Pastas and Salsas. The staff's warm hospitality, paired with their mouthwatering South American cuisine, created a memorable visit. The generosity of fellow patrons who helped me overcome the language barrier added to the enjoyment. As a hiker heading to Iguazu National Park, I was delighted to find hearty portions that fueled my adventures. The only drawback was their Monday closure. Diverse range of culinary delights, from pastas to tarts and empanadas.

The place is cozy. Not many tables. When we went it only opened at 7pm instead of 6.30pm. It’s very popular and filled up quickly. The portions are crazy huge, beware small eaters, two ladies can share one portion of pasta and a dessert imo. Staffs appeared to be a bit nonchalant but try speaking some basic Spanish to them and they’ll help you at least.

Food was INCREDIBLE, amazing value for money. Sadly we went on our last night so we don't get to try more dishes. A must try if you want pasta in Iguazú

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you want a nice home cooked meal without blowing the budget, you must go to this little gem of a restaurant. I saw it received a good review for such a little mom and pop shop and I convinced my boyfriend to stay and we were rewarded with a taste of my mom’s cooking. I saw what another group had ordered and asked for the same, stifado with your choice of pasta. We rolled out of there! Must have the meat empanadas as well because they were awesome. Get away from the others because it’s worth going to and it was constantly busy with local and tourists alike looking for a great deal.

Great service and delicious, hearty helpings of pasta. We wish we could come back for a second meal but sadly was due to leave town the next day. Skip the touristy burger bars and come here for a bite instead. They also have some take out specials that look like a fantastic deal.

4 ladies spend all day making pastas for the evening. As soon as it hits 7pm, locals come flooding in. It's very popular. So i suggest popping in at 7pm sharp to skip any queues. You pick a pasta first and a sauce second (1400p). The spinach gnocchi is a bit more expensive (1800p), but very popular and is the one that runs out first. I recommend the mushroom sauce and also the cameron sauce. The youngest worker is front of house while the rest are cooks. They work hard, are efficient and seem jolly. They handle everything with grace, leaving us quite impressed. British waiting staff could learn a thing or two from argentine service culture. The lady can get along with English, and seems used to navigating the language barrier with people from all over. We arrived in iguazu from BA not expecting anything special food wise... But we were surprised. This place is just as other reviews described, you'll want to return the next day and the fresh nature of everything hand made is something special. Btw. I suggest you eat in if you can. The food tastes better. If you take away, pasta continues to absorb the sauce.

The food is incredible. Very fresh pasta. The Ravioli in the Arrabbiata sauce with chicken was amazing. It’s difficult to understand the menu (when you’re not Spanish speaking) when you go in and order off the board but basically you pick a pasta and a sauce and they bring you a huge portion. Prices are very cheap. Great bottle of wine for very cheap too.

The tomatoes or mushrooms like the picture are really delicious. Based on takeout, the price of Empanada is 700ars, and the 2 foods in the picture are 4500ars.

This food was AMAZING! Some of the best pasta I’ve ever had in my life—all made fresh. The pesto sauce was so good. Incredible service, incredible food, definitely refueled us after a day full of hiking! Considering moving to Argentina do I can come here more often

One of the best tasting fresh made pastas that compare to those fancy restaurants.

Came here based on all the reviews and it was ok, but not to the level expected. The whole place is a confusing experience for someone that doesn't speak Spanish and even more because there are very few signs explaining things. Got there at opening 18:30 but they were not ready until 19:00. After entrees I ordered a flan based on a picture of it I saw here that had dulce de leches on the plate, mine didn't come with any and that was disappointing. Wine was a bit expensive. They were very busy

Great pasta, amazing prices and the quantity was astonishing. Now put this in context that the Great British Pound is 75 Paso's currently. That's a extremely good exchange rate for myself. So perhaps in two months the prices may not be as amazing. How we the quality will remain and it's still a good price for a meal. I got spaghetti Bolognese for 175 Paso's. A little over two pounds, it would have easily been worth 9 in a take away from the UK or at least 11 in a resteraunt. The pasta is clearly fresh and you can see them making your meal in the back. The kitchen is clearly spotless and we'll maintained. I couldn't find a fault here if I tried.

Delicious, absolutely huge orders of pasta. You have to go inside to order first and then they bring you your food to your table or they have raw pasta to go. Spent 6 months in Argentina and I think this was the best pasta I had while here.

Sensational family run pasta joint, with amazing traditional home-made pastas and delicious sauces. The incredibly busy staff are politeness personified. You may have to queue for the few tables there are, but believe me it's worth it.

What a fantastic establishment we have here folks. A true diamond in the rough. Maybe even the truest diamond in the rough. A build your own pasta bar with fresh homemade sauce and noodles. What more could a guy ask for? Service was spectacular. I personally speak 0 Spanish, so when the waiter was able to speak English I was very encouraged. The service was fast and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend La Mamma's Pastas and Salsas.

What a surprise! Being gluten free I didn’t dare to venture there during my stay except on the last night. I’ve found a delicious beef tongue in vinaigrette (with the tastiest tomatoes I’ve had in years) and tasty pastel de choclo (corn based). True artisans doing an excellent job!

This is one of the best places to eat in PI. Had dinner the last 2 nights and can't wait to go again tonight before I leave town. Fresh everything, from salads, pastas, empanadas...etc. As well as the turnover is high and therefore the food is made daily. This is a modest operation with modest prices that comes with incredible cuisine and taste. We frequented more expensive places and was disappointed. Staff in amazing as well. Highly recommend this joint.

Lovely little place with surprisingly good fresh pasta, cooked perfectly Al-dente with a variety of sauces. I recommend getting here early because it gets really busy!

It's a really nice place to have some good pasta. They have different varieties of pastas with various salsas. I chose sphagetti with tomato and albahaca sauce. It was really flavorful and good enough portion for two people. Truly I was full. It cost me around $800. I also had Tiramisu which was $270. It was delicious. They had wide variety of desserts too e.g. flan, arroz con leche, etc. Staff was also really nice and friendly. Do visit this place.

Truly one of the best pastas I’ve had anywhere — not exaggerating! This place is A+ all around — a strong wine selection, fresh bread and finally an incredible pasta dish that is very generously portioned. Don’t be intimidated by the fast pace when you enter — it’s clearly very popular and the staff is hard at work. You will feel their warmth once you place your order and are guaranteed a great meal. You might need to wait for a seat, but it’s well worth it. And don’t forget dessert — the flan was excellent.

😠 !!! Total scam! We had a dinner, the menu says 65 reals + coke 7 reals so it was in total 73 reals. When exchanged, this normally costs around 2000 pesos. They exchanged this in their own way to 4000+ pesos. I showed them the international exchange rate and they kept screwing around. Eventually afte...
