Modern youth hostel with practical furnishings. Our double room had its own shower/WC in a quiet location. Rich breakfast buffet. Nice team.

Absolute filth. You share the shower and toilet with 8 other people. Don't book, it's such a dump. It's better not to book and stay at home. You can't call it free WiFi.

Beautiful city

Very weak. Unfriendly staff, one socket per room, a barely usable bathroom for 8 people each. Everything is extremely noisy, which is why you can actually only go to the toilet in the foyer at night if you don't want to wake everyone up. Many pensioners.

Great Location. Go Check Out. Lots of History and culture, many Gastro Spots. The rooms give you an idea of how the original Spirit of the german youth hostel used be, simplicity. The service people are polite and supportive. Everybody would be Happy, if the Hostel could remain. Therefore it must be renovated.

Overall it was really nice, the rooms were a bit small though.

Rooms had shared bathroom and toilet with adjacent room, diner and breakfast were nice. Lots of outdoor space for use.

The hostel is fairly modern but lacks some very basic amenities. There is no kettle or microwave available to guests. The bedrooms are bunks of 3/4 and each room has only one plug socket expected to be shared by all room users. Bathrooms are shared amongst 2 rooms. (upto 8 people) so one toilet and one shower between guests. The holder for our shower was broken so using the shower on the wall was very difficult as it would often fall down We stayed for 10 days and there was no option to get a change of bedding. The bedding was getting very used by the end of the week especially as there was no air conditioning in the rooms so it got rather hot at night even with the window wide open. The provided dinner/breakfast at the accommodation was however excellent, there was always a large amount of food available and dinner was always hot. The staff are very welcoming and friendly though and are willing to help where possible. The communal areas where kept largely clean but areas like the stairs collected dirt quickly. I would be happy to stay here again but wouldn't wish to stay for such a long stay next time

By far the worst youth hostel I've ever had to go to. The shower is full of mold, the toilet is dirty, the room is also dirty and the windows are leaking. There are also only shared bathrooms. The food is just about acceptable. What's annoying is that rolls that have fallen down are simply sorted back in. The furnishings have remained in the 70s, unfortunately also in terms of condition. Otherwise there is nothing positive to mention.
